The Role of Women's Crisis Center in Preventing Domestic Violence as an Effort to Create Household Harmony

The title of this article is, the role of the Women's crisis center in preventing domestic violence as an effort to create household harmony, with the background of the role of the Women Crisis Center is considered quite important in assisting victims of violence, especially women, where the Women Crisis Center is often the first place of complaint for women victims of violence. The results of the assistance by the counselor, then the counselor tries to provide assistance when the victim needs a referral to the Police, to the Hospital or Psychologist. The counselor will always accompany the victim until the victim feels able to stand alone or empowered. Some of the problems that often become obstacles to date are in handling cases of violence against women. The problems examined in this article. 1. How is the role of WCC in preventing domestic violence cases as an effort to create household harmony? 2. How does Islamic law review the role of WCC in preventing domestic violence cases as an effort to create household harmony? The type of research is library research, namely research by examining and analyzing data derived from library sources, both in the form of books, papers, magazines, journals and others related to family, marriage and household harmony.... From the results of this study it can be concluded that, The role of WCC in handling cases of domestic violence is in collaboration with legal aid agencies, medical, police, and courts, this cooperation is called a case handling network as an effort to reach cases of domestic violence and sexual violence can be handled and facilitate victims such as safe houses, counseling rooms, to share stories and facilities in the form of legal assistance and family handling while to reduce the number of sexual violence is handled with prevention programs.

FAMILY, BUSINESS AND FAMILY BUSINESS

This research explores intersections between family, business, and family business. The study characterises the difference with the aim to clarify conceptual differences and their individual role in the society. While family refers to a social unit tied by emotional bonds, business represents a commercial activity driven by financial goals. Family business, however, is a unique combination of the two. Family businesses are uniquely positioned to balance the personal concerns with professional concerns and focuses on longevity and identity over quick profitability. This study provides a key difference that emphasises on how each aspect is different and yet they complement each other. Factors such as governance, leadership, and the role of family values are explored. The paper aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of family and non-family business and explore how family harmony and business success is maintained.

Mitigating the Digital Age Impact: Collaborative Strategies of State and Religious Institutions for Family Harmony in Indonesia

This research investigates the impact of information technology on family harmony in Indonesia, highlighting the increasing challenges for families characterized by rising divorce rates, domestic violence, and juvenile delinquency, exacerbated by social media, which is a form of information technology development. Through qualitative analysis using field research methods, this study reveals the urgent need for protective measures to safeguard families and children in the digital age. The results show a separate role for religious and state institutions in mitigating the impact of technological development. The research, therefore, emphasizes the importance of a collaborative role between state and religious institutions in mitigating these negative impacts by implementing comprehensive strategies that promote family education, strengthen moral values, and increase parental involvement. The findings advocate for solid policies and proactive institutional engagement to foster a supportive environment for families, ultimately aiming to cultivate a harmonious society amidst the complexities brought about by technological advancements.

Household Justice Management in Views of Polygamy Practitioners: A Key Principle for Familial Stability and Harmony in Islamic Education

Polygamy is a social system prescribed by Allah to ensure social justice, protect women, and promote familial solidarity. However, the success of this system heavily relies on the husband's commitment to justice, which is an essential and fundamental requirement. Field studies indicate that the justice mandated by Islamic law encompasses the provision of sufficient financial support, including food, clothing, and housing for all wives equally, in addition to equitable distribution of time for overnight stays. Interviews conducted with some polygamy practitioners revealed that failure to uphold justice often leads to conflicts within the family, sometimes resulting in its disintegration. Participants emphasized that fulfilling the requirements of Islamic law goes beyond material matters, extending to fairness in emotions and treatment to the best of the husband’s ability, recognizing that humans are not accountable for feelings beyond their control. This study, therefore, serves as a practical reference for those considering polygamy. It underscores the importance of understanding the rulings of Islamic law related to this matter to ensure familial stability and avoid the negative consequences of injustice or misinterpretation. Adhering to justice is the key to maintaining successful marital relationships in the context of polygamy.

Implementation of Harmonious Family in the Concept of Proportionality of Obligations and Rights of Husband and Wife Relations: A Perspective on the Compilation of Islamic Law

The breakup of marriage is a permissible act, but Allah SWT does not like such a decision. In the implementation of the sakinah mawaddah and rahmah family, it is quite difficult to carry out but it is not impossible to do. The serious problem is how when a family can no longer be harmonized again to exercise rights and obligations proportionately, and whether it must end in a divorce that is hated by God. This research focuses on husband and wife to remain harmonious when carrying out obligations and rights that benefit from the perspective of KHI. This study uses a comprehensive literature study methodology based on normative legal research presenting data and facts from the perspective of compilation of Islamic law and socio-cultural phenomena of society. KHI has an important role in a legal decision process because KHI is sourced from 13 books that are complete and in accordance with the socio-cultural nature of the Indonesian state and then with the nature of Islamic law that is flexible so that it can adapt to the dynamic development of the times. Although there are several KHI rules that need to be updated, such as the tendency towards patriarchal culture because it has been a long time when it was formed, namely 33 years, it is used as a reference by legal subjects so that it can be more up-to-date again when used in more contemporary legal cases in the future.

Customary and Islamic Practices in Inheritance Distribution: Insights from The Gampong Customary Court in Pidie

This study explores the methods of inheritance distribution employed by the Gampong Customary Court (Peradilan Adat Gampong) in Pidie. The research aims to shed light on the foundations and decision-making processes behind resolving inheritance disputes in the court. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study incorporates both secondary and primary data. Secondary data were gathered through literature reviews of dissertations, books, journals, and newspaper articles, while primary data were collected through interviews. A purposive sampling method was employed, selecting eight informants, including community leaders, religious figures, customary leaders, and intellectuals. A pilot study was conducted to ensure the relevance and accuracy of interview questions. Content analysis was used to examine both primary and secondary data. The study found that the Gampong Customary Court primarily relies on Islamic law and local customs when handling inheritance disputes. This study highlights several practical implications for inheritance management in Pidie, Aceh. The application of ijbari principles ensures compliance with Islamic teachings while respecting local customs. Practitioners must be proficient in both legal frameworks. Additionally, the suloh/syura model, which prioritizes consensus and dialogue, can be employed to resolve inheritance disputes and foster family harmony. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening the role of local leaders in resolving inheritance conflicts to build community trust and reduce the caseload in Sharia courts.

EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF FACE-TO-FACE AND ONLINE MENTORING USING ZOOM MEETING IN CHANGING DEVIANT BEHAVIOUR IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The world of school adolescents is an interesting dynamic. Generally, they want new things that they have never tried before. Something new if it implies positive actions is certainly not a problem, but if it leads to negative actions this will cause problems. School adolescents who have problems and can solve their own problems are positive. However, on the contrary, if they have a problem and cannot solve it themselves and vent it to negative actions, this means that they need the help of others. Simply put, in the perspective of guidance and counselling, people who help solve other people's problems are called counsellors. This counsellor is expected to help adolescents with problems to find the best solution according to the lightness and severity of the problems faced by these adolescents. The efforts to prevent adolescent deviant behaviour are creating a harmonious family, not generalising between adolescents with one another, developing adolescents through education, encouraging adolescents to be active in organisations, developing adolescents through interests and talents supported by routine coaching by counseling teachers both in writing, face-to-face and online using Zoom Meeting.. It is hoped that even though juvenile delinquency can be reduced so as to produce good academic and non-academic learning achievements. And then the handling techniques for adolescent deviant behaviour are: first, individual handling which includes giving instructions or advice, counselling, and psychotherapy, second, family handling, third, group handling and fourth handling of couples

PERNIKAHAN ANAK USIA DINI DI MEDIA SOSIAL: MUI DALAM SOROTAN PUBLIK (STUDI KASUS KABUPATEN WAJO)

This study examines the phenomenon of child marriage in Indonesia, specifically in Wajo Regency, South Sulawesi. The findings reveal that the practice of child marriage remains a serious problem that requires urgent attention from various stakeholders. Collaboration between religious leaders (ulama) and government officials (umara) is key in reducing the prevalence of child marriage. Through various education programs, socialization, and law enforcement, it is hoped that public awareness of the negative impacts of child marriage can be increased. The study found that child marriage not only violates children's rights but also contradicts the objectives of Islamic law. Although marriage aims to establish a harmonious family, early marriage can hinder the achievement of this goal. Children who marry at a young age lack the physical, mental, and emotional maturity required for married life. This research highlights the importance of the roles of government, religious institutions, and the community in preventing and addressing child marriage. Efforts that need to be undertaken include improving the quality of education, providing reproductive health services for adolescents, and strengthening law enforcement against perpetrators of child marriage. It is hoped that these efforts will lead to a decrease in the number of child marriages in Indonesia, particularly in Wajo Regency

The Influence of Family Environment on Children's Mental Health

The influence of the family environment on children's physical and mental development has been widely discussed, but the degree of children's mental health is still insufficient, and many children fail to achieve a good mental state. If the parents create a warm family atmosphere, create a safe and warm physical environment, and let the child grow up in a relaxed and pleasant family, then the child will become very confident and cheerful. In stark contrast, children who grow up in an oppressive home are more likely to be isolated and more afraid to speak up. The analysis of this paper shows that in the process of children's physical and mental development, the role of the family environment is huge. Family environment factors are the basis of children's health psychology, and establishing a harmonious and good family environment is an important condition for cultivating children's health psychology. Based on this, this paper puts forward the following suggestions. Parents should strengthen their learning, create a harmonious family atmosphere, attach importance to frustration education, and cultivate children's emotional expression ability.

WOMEN'S STRATEGIES IN LONG-DISTANCE MARRIAGE: COMMUNICATION AND PARENTING

Long Distance Marriage (LDM) is increasingly common in the era of globalization but poses complex challenges for couples. This study explores women’s adaptive strategies, focusing on communication and parenting dynamics in the context of LDM families. Using a qualitative case study approach with seven families in Gunung Pelindung District, East Lampung, this study uncovers collaborative strategies for maintaining family harmony. The research findings show that women develop innovative approaches to maintaining emotional bonds with their spouse and children, including regular communication scheduling, flexible role allocation, self-care, community support, creatively educating children, and using technology to stay connected. It can be concluded that the success of long-distance marriages relies on effective communication, mutual support, and a shared adaptive strategy. Implications of the study include a deeper understanding of contemporary family dynamics in the context of global mobility.

The Islamic Religious Education Service Marketing Management at KUA Talang Ubi

Islamic religious education is one of the important sectors in the development of a community with character and noble values. The KUA Talang Ubi, as a religious institution, plays an active role in providing Islamic education services, including pre-marriage counseling and family education for a harmonious family life (sakinah). This study aims to analyze the implementation of service marketing management elements at KUA Talang Ubi, focusing on product, place, process, promotion, and physical evidence. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research identifies the successes and challenges in managing Islamic education services. The findings indicate that although the marketing management implementation is running well, there are still challenges such as the lack of adoption of the SIMKAH technology by the community and inconsistent implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP). This article offers recommendations in the form of intensive training for the community, improved communication quality, and staff training.

Legal Certainty, Justice, and Maqasid al-Shari'ah in Polygamy Permits: A Case Study of Kediri Religious Court

Polygamy has been a problem with pros and cons until now. This also includes permission for polygamy carried out by the husband for reason of high sexual desire or hypersexuality, which causes the husband to take permission for polygamy to the Religious Court. This is what happened in the Kediri Regency Religious Court Number 3826/Pdt.G/2023/PA.Kab.Kdr. This article is library research, qualitative in nature, and uses a conceptual and statutory approach. The results of this research show that the practice of polygamy permit is in accordance with aspects of legal justice, legal certainty and legal benefit. As for maqasid al-shari'ah, if it is related to the case of polygamy permit, it can be understood that, First, legal texts and rules are not separate from their purpose. In Islam, there is a rule that polygamy is limited to four wives, the purpose of which is to worship Allah and form a harmonious family and must fulfill the positive legal aspects, namely permission from the first wife. Second, combine universal principles with arguments used for specific cases. In this case, even though there is a text about polygamy, it still requires permission from the first wife, and is connected to the principle of hifz al-usrah which contains hifz al-din, hifz al-al-'aql, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-mal. All these principles emphasize the teachings of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin. Third, achieving benefits and preventing harm. Therefore, polygamy must be accompanied by permission from the first wife to realize the benefits and the building of the family must prioritize the benefits aspect and avoid harm. Fourth, consider the final result. In this case, the implication of the husband's actions, if the impact is that the family structure is not harmonious, it is better for the husband to marry only one wife. So that the goals of marriage can be achieved. This is in accordance with the purposefulness feature conveyed by Jasser Auda.

Examining the Characteristics of Generation Z and Their Implications for Students' Character Education

This study examines the characteristics of Generation Z as digital natives along with their implications for character education. This study is important to carry out considering that each generation has its own characteristics that distinguish it from other generations, especially in the education process. The research method used in this study is a literature study with the stages of reviewing, collecting, and analyzing these references. The results of this study indicate that Generation Z has a variety of uniqueness compared to other generations. The most prominent uniqueness of this generation is their ability and habits in using technology. In addition, this generation is also known as a generation that is more creative and innovative, has social responsibility, is active, likes to seek comfort, prioritizes security, is easy to connect with each other, and other characteristics. The uniqueness of Generation Z brings changes to various aspects of life, including the character education process. The character education process is considered still very necessary for this generation. Character education for this generation can be carried out through the family environment, school environment, and community environment. Character education in the family environment emphasizes more on the use of good approaches and the creation of a harmonious family environment. Meanwhile, education in the school environment for Generation Z can be implemented by choosing a variety of strategies, approaches, and learning models that are right for this generation. As for character education through the current community environment, it can be done by creating religious character posts that are uploaded to the internet via social media. This study recommends that subsequent researchers conduct character education experiments in the school, family, or community environment. Contribution: By identifying the characteristics of Generation Z, the research highlights the need for educational approaches that cater to their specific needs. This includes adapting teaching methods to incorporate technology and interactive learning experiences that resonate with their digital upbringing.

Memilih Pasangan yang Sekufu dalam Ormas Keagamaan Perspektif Istihsᾱn

The concept of kafā’ah (compatibility) in selecting a life partner is one of the fundamental principles in Islamic law, encompassing parity in aspects of religion, social status, economy, and others. In the context of religious organizations, kafā’ah has a more specific dimension, namely equality in terms of beliefs, commitment, and involvement in a particular religious organization. Religious organizations often serve as a medium for shaping an individual's religious identity, making it important to choose a partner from the same organizational background as a factor for maintaining harmony and alignment in family life.In modern times, numerous religious organizations are followed by Muslims. The diversity of these religious organizations affects practices of worship, views on local traditions, and even involvement in social and political issues. Thus, the research problem formulated by the author is: How does choosing a partner with the same religious organization affiliation impact family harmony, and what is the perspective of istihsān regarding marriage between individuals of the same religious organization? The author employs a qualitative research method through a case study approach to produce descriptive and analytical data. The research also uses a normative and sociological approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation.Based on field findings, the conclusion of this research is that choosing a partner from the same religious organization does impact family harmony. The harmony within a marriage between partners from the same religious organization can be observed through several indicators: First, there is a balance of rights between husband and wife. Second, there is cooperation in raising and educating children. Third, there is positive interaction with the extended family and society. Fourth, there is mutual support in enhancing spirituality. From the perspective of istihsān, choosing a partner from the same religious organization is preferable for practical application. Istihsān, as a method of istinbāth (derivation of legal rulings), is capable of aligning Islamic law with contemporary issues by selecting the most beneficial option among the good ones. In general principles, the religious criterion in the concept of kafā’ah focuses on a person’s piety and character. However, due to differences in views on piety and character between religious organizations, from the perspective of istihsān, selecting a partner from the same religious organization is prioritized as it is considered more beneficial.

Talking about education cannot be separated from the family environment. A harmonious family life is built with a good interaction system, so that education in the family runs conducively. Parents are figures who serve as examples for their children. The good and bad of children in the future depends on the role of parents in educating them. This research aims to describe: 1) Parental programs in instilling discipline in early childhood. 2) Steps taken by parents in instilling discipline in young children. 3) Motivation of parents in instilling discipline in young children. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. to find out and describe the reality of the event being studied so as to make it easier to obtain objective data. Based on the results of research at RA Ash-Sholihah, Medan Johor District, parents gave appreciation as a form of motivation for children's disciplinary attitudes in implementing the rules made. Then provide motivation in the form of words of praise like a great child, giving appreciation in the form of awards or prizes.

Examining maternal social perceptions and stress responses during pregnancy.

Pregnant women are sensitive to the emotions and cues present in social interactions. They may exhibit heightened stress responses when support is lacking in a harmonious environment. The objective of this study was to examine the interaction of family harmony and social support and its association with stress responses among pregnant women. A total of 556 pregnant women were recruited to participate in this study. Psychological stress was measured using the Perceived Stress Scale - 10 (PSS-10). We assessed their perceived levels of family harmony (Family Harmony Scale-5: FHS-5) and social support (Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support; MSPSS). They also provided blood samples for measurement of interleukin-6 (IL-6) as a marker of inflammation. Moderation analysis was conducted with estimation of regression coefficients and 95 % confidence intervals. After adjusting for covariates, the interaction of family harmony and social support in association with IL-6 levels was significant (β = -0.23, p = .045); however, its association with psychological stress was not significant. Specifically, the lack of support within a harmonious family environment was linked to elevated levels of IL-6 in pregnant women (β = 0.26, p = .023). Social interactions lacking supportive gestures have the potential to exacerbate inflammatory responses in pregnant women. Findings underscore the importance of supportive social interactions in promoting the mental well-being of pregnant women.

The Weakening of The Role of Islamic Religious Counselors in Forming Sakinah Families in Padangsidimpuan Batunadua District

Household disharmony, often stemming from limited understanding of marital rights and responsibilities, continues to challenge the formation of sakinah families in Padangsidimpuan Batunadua District. This issue persists despite the presence of Islamic Religious Counselors whose central role is to guide couples in achieving marital tranquility aligned with Islamic teachings. This study aims to examine how Islamic Religious Counselors contribute to shaping sakinah families and to identify the factors that support or hinder their efforts. A qualitative method was employed, with data gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s procedures. The results indicate that Islamic Religious Counselors exert a substantial influence by providing religious guidance, pre and post marital counseling, and community based educational program aimed to reinforcing moral principles and mutual understanding. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of these efforts is constrained by inadequate facilities and a shortage of certified counselors, compelling reliance on basic religious study forums to address family issues. Enhancing infrastructural support and expanding counselor certification programs may therefore improve the quality and reach of religious counseling services, ultimately fostering more harmonious and resilient family units.

School Refusal and Determinants: Parental Psychopathology, Family Functioning, Attachment and Temperament

ABSTRACTIn the current study investigated the psychopathologies of parents, family functioning, child temperament characteristics, and attachment of kindergarten and primary school‐age children who were brought to the child and adolescent psychiatry outpatient clinic due to school refusal behavior. Fifty‐two children with school refusal and 64 children without school refusal and their parents participated in the current study. School Refusal Assessment Scale, Systemic Family Functionality Scale(SFFS), Family Harmony Scale(FHS), Kerns Secure Attachment Scale(KSAS), Temperament Scale for Children(TSC), and Depression Anxiety Stress Scales(DASS) for parents were used. It was determined that, compared to children without school refusal, the children with school refusal had lower KSAS score(mother)(p = 0.049), higher DASS‐stress and anxiety(mother) scores(p = 0.014 and p = 0.020, respectively), lower TSC‐Responsiveness/Reactivity subscale score (p = 0.005), lower SFFS‐intrafamilial support and SFFS‐intrafamilial connection scores (p = 0.002 and p < 0.001, respectively), and lower FHS‐total score (p = 0.002). It was determined that school refusal was 11 times more common in children who had difficulty adjusting to school in previous years. Each point increase in the SFFS‐intrafamilial connection score reduced school refusal by 30%. In the current study shows that among the interventions required for treatment, the family should also be targeted in addition to the child and adolescent. Therefore, it is essential to identify factors such as parents' psychopathology and their roles in the family, family functioning, and family harmony in school refusal. Because parents play a crucial role in both the development and maintenance of school refusal, using more parent‐targeted strategies or techniques is necessary to improve interventions.

Do Health Literate Older People Have Fewer Depressive Symptoms? Evidence from the Urban Areas of Western China.

Previous research has indicated that health literacy has a good influence on the mental health among older adults. The current study aims to determine whether health literacy is linked to depressive symptoms in older adults in west China, and tries to detect the mechanisms underlying the linkage between health literacy and depressive symptoms in the Chinese context. Study data were obtained from a cross-sectional ageing health literacy survey conducted in 2017 in Western China, and 812 urban individuals aged 60 and older were selected. Health literacy was associated with fewer symptoms of depression; additionally, older adults who reported harmonious family and filial piety, those with greater self-rated health, and those with a higher level of life satisfaction tended to have fewer depressive symptoms, whereas older individuals who reported a poor financial status and those with functional impairment had more depressive symptoms. The findings indicate the protective role of health literacy against depressive symptoms among urban older adults. In addition, the findings also indicate the potential impact of financial strain and functional impairment on the development of depressive symptoms and show that other factors including a harmonious family, filial piety, self-rated health and life satisfaction are generally protective against depressive symptoms. Specific evidence is presented for the national action plans and public health strategies needed to reinforce and promote health literacy in the Chinese context. The current results also suggest that health education and promotion programs designed to strengthen financial assistance, functional improvement, family relationships, life satisfaction and self-rated health should gain a growing importance on the health agenda. Future longitudinal studies, mediation or moderator models, and structural equation modeling would be needed to identify a causal relationship, the moderating or mediating effect, and the possible pathways underlying the linkage between health literacy and depressive symptoms, respectively.
