Edukasi Keamanan Siber Berdigital dengan Aman

The rapid development of digital technology in Indonesia has heightened the need for cybersecurity education to safeguard individuals against prevalent digital fraud. This community service initiative, titled "Cybersecurity: Safe Digital Practices," aims to raise awareness and educate participants about key aspects of digital security. The program covers the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including digital fraud detection, device security, identity protection, and understanding digital footprints. The implementation involved interactive workshops that addressed common cyber threats and equipped participants with practical strategies for safe digital engagement. Methodologies included presentations on real-life cyber-attack cases, discussions on digital fraud tactics such as phishing, pharming, and sniffing, and hands-on sessions for using security tools like two-factor authentication, fingerprint authentication, and device tracking. Participants were encouraged to engage actively, allowing for the immediate application of learned strategies. Results indicate an increased awareness and capability among participants to recognize and counteract digital fraud. Through post-program evaluations, participants reported a significant improvement in their confidence and ability to protect personal information and secure digital devices. In conclusion, this program effectively enhanced the cybersecurity skills of the participants. It is recommended that future programs expand to include more advanced topics, such as cybersecurity for small businesses and data privacy laws. Continued collaboration with educational institutions and community organizations can further disseminate cybersecurity knowledge across broader demographics, ensuring safer digital practices at the community level.

Development of highly thermal-stable blue emitting Y4Al2O9:Bi3+ phosphors for w-LEDs, fingerprint and data security applications

A new blue-emitting Y4Al2O9:Bi3+ (YAO:Bi3+) phosphor is synthesized using the solution combustion method with mushroom extract as a binder. Its structural properties, concentration effects, temperature-dependent luminescence, and performance in LED devices are thoroughly investigated. Upon excitation at 367 nm, a strong blue light emission at 423 nm is observed, attributed to the 3P1→1S0 transition of Bi3+. The quantum efficiency reached approximately 63.5 %. The CIE diagram shows that the emission colour falls within the intense blue region, achieving a colour purity (CP) of 94 %. YAO:Bi3+ exhibits strong absorption in the near-ultraviolet range (330–400 nm), making it suitable for LEDs powered by near-ultraviolet chips. A thermal quenching experiment revealed an activation energy (Ea) of 0.323 eV, indicating that this YAO:Bi3+ phosphor possesses good thermal stability. This study showcases the use of YAO:Bi3+ phosphor in encapsulated LED devices. The device’s Commission Internationale de l’Éclairage (CIE) coordinates are (0.325, 0.310), with a high colour rendering index (CRI) of 94.70 and a low correlated colour temperature (CCT) of 5915 K at a current of 120 mA. These properties indicate that this phosphor is suitable for developing white LED devices powered by near-ultraviolet chips. The optimized YAO:Bi3+ phosphor is employed to enhance the detection of Level I-III fingerprint (FP) details with high resolution and contrast, showing effective visualization of latent fingerprints (LFPs) on various substrates. Furthermore, it is used as a model for developing fluorescent ink, which is applied to different media. The results suggest that YAO:Bi3+ phosphor has significant potential for applications in w-LEDs, advanced forensics, and anti-counterfeiting ink technologies.

Introduction: In the current era of globalization, the presence of Notary services in the development process is increasing. Therefore, in carrying out the position of Notary, it is necessary to supervise and provide guidance so that the Notary can carry out the duties and functions of his position optimally. Supervision and guidance is carried out by the Regional Supervisory Council. However, in its implementation, there are still many Notaries who commit violations both regarding Notarial behavior and the implementation of the Notary's position, apart from that the large area of Malang Regency creates obstacles to the supervision process.Purposes of the Research: Questioning how the Supervision Pattern of the Regional Supervisory Council and whether the supervision of Notaries carried out by the Regional Supervisory Council to Notaries has been carried out effectively.Methods of the Research: This research uses an empirical juridical approach.Results of the Research: The results of this research indicate that the implementation of supervision and guidance by the Regional Supervisory Council has been effective. This can be seen through the supervision pattern carried out by the Regional Supervisory Council, namely by holding regular meetings 1 (one) time every month, providing physical and electronic notifications to notaries, having procedures for handling notaries who are reported by the public, holding internal hearings. Explain the Regional Supervisor to decide on sanctions imposed on Notaries, Provide special rules to Notaries to install CCTV and finger print at the Notary's office in order to minimize violations.

Hydrogen Bond-Mediated Self-Assembly of Carbon Dots Enabling Precise Tuning of Particle and Cluster Luminescence for Advanced Optoelectronic Applications.

The effective control over the self-assembly process of carbon dots (CDs) and their cluster luminescence in the aggregated state is of paramount significance and challenge. This study, for the first time, systematically explores the photoluminescent behavior of CDs in their aggregated state, which is less understood compared to their discrete state. By investigating the effects of concentration and solvent environment, it's demonstrated that CDs could exhibit dual emission properties, shifting from blue particle emissions to red cluster emissions as they aggregate. The key to this tunable luminescence lies in hydrogen bonding, which drives the self-assembly of CDs and modulates their photo physical properties. These findings reveal that through precise control of aggregation, CDs can be engineered for advanced optoelectronic applications, including tunable light-emitting diodes (LEDs), secure information encryption, and fingerprint authentication. This report not only deepens the understanding of the underlying mechanisms governing CDs' cluster luminescence but also introduces a novel approach to exploiting their unique properties for technological innovation.

Acoustic cavitation assisted synthesis of PCDs@PVA composite film for UV shielding, intelligent pH detection, information encryption and food packing applications

Excessive exposure to UV and high-energy blue light (HEBL) can severely damage the skin and eyes. Therefore, it is essential to protect our bodies from UV and HEBL radiation. We created PEG-derived carbon dots (PCDs) using the acoustic cavitation approach in order to completely block UV and HEBL. The influence of different experimental parameters such as sonication time, amplitude, and temperature on the PCDs is examined. The optimized PCDs are found to have an average diameter ranging from 5 to 9 nm, contingent upon the preparation circumstances, and to have a quantum yield (QY) of 14–16 %. The PCDs vivid colour and simultaneous UV and HEBL absorption properties allowed the PVA film containing 0.120 wt% of PCDs to demonstrate outstanding blocking efficiency, with 99.9 % blocking in HEBL and 100 % blocking in UV-C, UV-B, and UV-A. The photoluminescence (PL) behaviour of PCDs is greatly reduced by Fe3+ ions because of strong excited state electron transfer. This fluorescent “turn-off” behaviour towards Fe3+ is highly selective and sensitive with a limit of detection (LoD) of 0.366 μM. Paper-based sensors incorporating PCDs are developed for the rapid and accurate detection of Fe3+ in surface water, wastewater treatment plant effluent, and tap water, leveraging their excellent sensitivity and selectivity towards Fe3+. The characteristics of ink-free patterned substrates are displayed by PCDs scattered across a PVA matrix, which makes them useful for the non-destructive acquisition and recognition of latent fingerprints (LFPs). A flexible, transparent film is produced when a LFP is exposed to a PCDs@PVA solution. In this film, a steady luminous fingerprint with specific ridge characteristics that aid in personal recognition is seen. This method shows promise for lifting and identifying long-exposed LFPs from various surfaces without causing damage. It is believed that the interfacial segregation of PCDs inside the PVA matrix during the film production process serves as a mechanism for LFP collection and visualization. The YOLOv8x program, which utilizes deep convolutional neural networks, is employed to analyze the discernible features present in fingerprints (FPs). Notably, their exceptional flexibility, foldability, and sustainability create new opportunities for use in the anti-counterfeiting (AC) field. Because of its remarkable fluorescence stability, it may be a viable substitute for conventional fluorescent inks. Fresh green apples are observed over time after being coated with 0.120 wt% PCDs@PVA and PVA. Virtual assessments indicated that the 0.120 wt% PCDs@PVA film coating significantly reduced weight and moisture loss, effectively inhibiting fungal growth and spoilage for over 25 days at room temperature (RT). Overall, the results clearly show that the PCDs@PVA film is easy to make, flexible, safe for the environment, and resistant to photodegradation. Hemolysis, and blood clotting exhibited favorable biocompatibility and nontoxicity.

WKNN-Based Wi-Fi Fingerprinting with Deep Distance Metric Learning via Siamese Triplet Network for Indoor Positioning

Weighted k-nearest neighbor (WKNN)-based Wi-Fi fingerprinting is popular in indoor location-based services due to its ease of implementation and low computational cost. KNN-based methods rely on distance metrics to select the nearest neighbors. However, traditional metrics often fail to capture the complexity of indoor environments and have limitations in identifying non-linear relationships. To address these issues, we propose a novel WKNN-based Wi-Fi fingerprinting method that incorporates distance metric learning. In the offline phase, our method utilizes a Siamese network with a triplet loss function to learn a meaningful distance metric from training fingerprints (FPs). This process employs a unique triplet mining strategy to handle the inherent noise in FPs. Subsequently, in the online phase, the learned metric is used to calculate the embedding distance, followed by a signal-space distance filtering step to optimally select neighbors and estimate the user’s location. The filtering step mitigates issues from an overfitted distance metric influenced by hard triplets, which could lead to incorrect neighbor selection. We evaluate the proposed method on three benchmark datasets, UJIIndoorLoc, Tampere, and UTSIndoorLoc, and compare it with four WKNN models. The results show a mean positioning error reduction of 3.55% on UJIIndoorLoc, 16.21% on Tampere, and 16.49% on UTSIndoorLoc, demonstrating enhanced positioning accuracy.

Development of a Smart Lock System using QR Code Technology

A smart lock system refers to a modern security solution that enables users to remotely control access to their homes or businesses using a smart device such as smartphone, tablet, or computer. This paper presents the development of a smart lock system using Quick Response (QR) code technology to address the problem of insecurity, inconvenience, and inflexibility in access control. The proposed system eliminates the need for physical keys or complex authentication and verification methods. The system integrates an ESP8266 microcontroller, barcode scanner, 16x2 liquid-crystal display (LCD), solenoid lock, relay, and a 12V power supply. The system allows authorised users to generate unique QR codes representing their access credentials through a user-friendly interface. These QR codes are scanned by the system, which processes the codes, verifies access permissions via a central server and provides real-time feedback through the LCD. Upon successful verification, the system triggers a relay to control the solenoid lock, to grant or deny access. The implementation and testing of the smart lock system demonstrated successful operation. The performance indices include authentication speed, system reliability, accuracy and response time, which were evaluated and found to be satisfactory. The obtained results showed that the proposed system outperformed traditional methods such as keys, and fingerprint authentication, with an access speed of 2.00 seconds, which is significantly faster than the alternatives. Comparative analysis with existing access control techniques demonstrated the developed system's enhanced security features and user-friendly operation, making it applicable for residential, commercial, and industrial use. Additionally, the system's scalability and adaptability allow it to be customised for various environments, offering a versatile solution to diverse security challenges. This work contributes to the field of security technology by providing an efficient and scalable smart lock system with novel algorithms, which enhances the convenience, robustness of access control and seamless user experience.

Synthesis and application of Ho³⁺ doped BaGd₂ZnO₅ nanophosphors for enhanced latent fingerprint development and poroscopy

In this study, Ho³⁺-doped BaGd₂ZnO₅ (1–11 mol%) nanophosphors (BGZO:Ho3+ NPs) were synthesized through combustion synthesis, utilizing Spirulina leaf extract as a natural green fuel. Luminescence studies revealed that the BGZO:Ho³⁺ phosphors exhibit a strong green emission primarily resulting from the 5S2→5I8 transition of Ho³⁺ ions. The optimal doping concentration was found to be 7 mol % Ho³⁺, which yielded the highest luminescence efficiency. Furthermore, the CIE chromaticity coordinates for BGZO:7Ho³⁺ were accurately determined to be (0.2595, 0.7290), with a color purity (CP) of 99.98 %. These results indicate the potential of this material for producing high-quality green emissions suitable for solid-state lighting and display applications. Optimized BGZO:Ho3+ NPs were utilized for latent fingerprints (LFPs) development via the powder dusting method. Under 365 nm UV light, the NPs effectively revealed Level I-III fingerprints (FPs) details, including ridge patterns, minutiae, and sweat pore features, on various substrates such as glass, plastic, and metal. The high luminescence of BGZO:Ho3+ NPs under UV illumination offers a sensitive and non-destructive method for enhancing FPs visibility, making it a promising tool for forensic applications. In addition, this study focuses on FPs poroscopy, examining the detailed pore structure of LFPs for forensic identification. Using advanced imaging techniques, we analyzed sweat pore distribution, size, and shape across various substrates and conditions. A detailed poroscopic analysis of LFPs, focusing on key parameters such as pore interspacing (165–332 μm), pore size (4140–9956 μm2), shapes (elliptical, rhomboid, triangular, square and rectangular) and pore angle (167°–179°). Further, a mathematical model was developed using Python-based software to enable precise and accurate analysis of FPs, enhancing clarity and identification accuracy, supporting the uniqueness of FPs beyond ridge patterns. The results demonstrate the potential of poroscopy for enhancing FPs analysis by offering an additional layer of precise biometric data.

Dual-mode visual imaging of latent fingerprints based on organic fluorescent probe with enhanced TICT emission

Fluorescence-based imaging has emerged as a promising technique for high-resolution visualization of latent fingerprints (LFPs), but detecting LFPs by fluorescent probes remains challenging at present. Herein, a water-soluble fluorescent dye (DEPN) with red emission and twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) properties was synthesized, which function as a dual-mode in-situ imaging probe for LFPs. The desired solid composite fluorescent fingerprint powder DEPN@MMT can be obtained by milling with montmorillonite (MMT) to realize the imaging of LFPs with 1–3 levels of details, which has the advantages of simple preparation, low doping ratio, good photostability, and is not limited by the substrate. Comparison with the actual fingerprint details extracted by fingerprint reader revealed a good match between the both, indicating that the fingerprint powder has high application value. The permanent preservation of LFPs with different curvatures was also realized by making rubbings. In addition, DEPN was able to image LFPs in aqueous solution with a concentration of 50 μM over a wide pH range, and it took only 20 s to obtain high-quality images that met the NFIQ2 detection standard. This dual-mode imaging probe of LFPs is highly practical, offering adaptable detection patterns for a range of complicated situations. It provides a valuable method for rapid and convenient visualization of LFPs, as well as their subsequent preservation and analysis.

A facile approach towards large-scale synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles derived from egg shell waste with enhanced UV shielding, nano priming and fingerprint real time object detection through YOLOv8x

This study demonstrates an eco-friendly method for synthesizing TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) utilizing an aqueous extract derived from egg shell (ES) waste. This study examines the use of TiO2 NPs for detecting Level I-III fingerprint (FP) features via the powder dusting method. The NPs enhance the visualization of ridge patterns, minutiae points, and pore structures in latent prints. Results show improved clarity, making this method promising for high-resolution forensic FP analysis. This paper explores the use of YOLOv8x, a cutting-edge object detection model, for FP analysis. YOLOv8x advanced architecture allows for rapid and accurate identification of minutiae points, ridge patterns, and other essential FP features. Its high precision and real-time detection enhance the efficiency of FP recognition, making it applicable to forensic investigations and biometric authentication. Experimental results show that YOLOv8x outperforms traditional methods in both accuracy and processing speed, highlighting its superiority in FP analysis tasks. The PVA@TiO2 films are engineered to offer excellent transparency, exceptional flexibility, and efficient UV radiation blocking properties, which have been rigorously evaluated across the UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C spectra. Blocking experiments revealed that the PVA@TiO2 (16 wt%) film effectively blocked 90.11 % of UV-A radiation, 92.82 % of UV-B radiation and 92.72 % of UV-C radiation. A solution of TiO2 NPs at environmentally relevant concentrations (20–160 mg/mL) is utilized as a nano-priming agent to improve the germination and early seedling growth of horse gram seeds. Notably, root length increased by 61 %, while shoot length grew by 58 %. The vigor index, an essential indicator of seedling health and strength, is significantly greater in the treated seeds, achieving a value of 2460, compared to 945 in the control group. This study presents a multifunctional material designed for its efficacy in FP detection, UV blocking capabilities, and beneficial effects on seed germination, providing a wide range of potential applications.

A novel red emitting Eu3+ doped CaSiO3 nanophosphor derived from agro-wastes for advanced forensic applications

The modified sol–gel approach was utilised to synthesise Eu3+ (1–5 mol%) doped CaSiO3 nanophosphors (NPs) using eggshell (ES) and rice husk ash (RHA) as precursors for SiO2 and CaO, respectively. Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) peaks confirm the monoclinic structure of the powdered samples. The photoluminescence (PL) emission spectra display distinct emission peaks corresponding to Eu3+ ions. After optimizing the Eu3+ ion concentration, the highest intensity (CaSiO3:3Eu3+) was achieved at 3 mol%. As the concentration increased beyond this point, the emission intensity decreased due to concentration quenching (CQ). Temperature-dependent photoluminescence (TDPL) was investigated in the range of 303 to 443 K. The results demonstrated that emissions at elevated temperatures are significantly stronger than those at ambient temperature. TDPL studies revealed excellent thermal stability, with emission intensity remaining at 87.5 % even at 423 K. Additionally, the phosphor’s absolute sensitivity of 0.003 K−1 and relative sensitivity of 1.44 % K−1 highlight its strong potential for temperature sensing applications. The suitability of the phosphor for the powder dusting method in fingerprint (FP) detection on various surfaces was also assessed. Under 365 nm UV light, the CaSiO3:3Eu3+ phosphor clearly reveals the level 1–3 structure of LFPs.

Beneficial effect of Caesalpinia pulcherrima linn., on diabetic neuropathy, cognitive dysfunction and cardiac complications in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats

Pharmacological relevanceCaesalpinia pulcherrima L. is used in Indian Traditional Medicinal system to treat Diabetes. AimThis study was carried out to evaluate the standardized alcoholic extract of Caesalpinia pulcherrima seed (CPS) in Streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic neuropathic and cardiac complications in rodents. Materials and methodsHPLC finger printing profile of CPS was performed to identify the bioactive molecules. Two doses of CPS (100 & 200 mg/kg b.w.) was orally administered daily once for six weeks to streptozotocin (50 mg/kg, i.v.)-induced diabetic rats. Every week intervals hot & cold immersion tests were carried to know the effect of CPS on peripheral neuropathy. In addition, blood glucose, body weight, food and water intake were also monitored. At the end of the study, sciatic nerve conduction velocity, diabetic cardiomyopathy and diabetic cognitive parameters were evaluated. Furthermore, histopathological studies of sciatic nerve and aortic strip were also carried out. ResultsHPLC finger print experiment showed the presence of gallic acid and protocatechuic acid. Administration of CPS for six weeks significantly prevented the development of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), cardiomyopathy and cognitive dysfunction in diabetic rats. The CPS treated rats displayed prominent (P < 0.001) improvement in motor coordination, muscle grip, locomotor activity and memory in diabetic rats. CPS treatment restored elevated systolic, diastolic, mean arterial blood pressure (MABP), and heart rate to near normal in diabetic condition. These observed beneficial effects were well correlated and justified with histopathological studies. In addition, CPS treatment also exhibited significant (P < 0.001) reduction of loss in body weight, and reduce the water and feed intake throughout the study. ConclusionTaken together, the present study provided a good insight in the therapeutic efficacy of Caesalpinia pulcherrima seed extract in dealing with diabetic complications. The study also scientifically justifies the ethnomedicinal/traditional claims of the title plant.

Driving License Management System Using Finger Print Sensors with Seat Belt Monitoring System

The finger print based driving license management is an advanced technology that is designed for security purposes. This system consists of a fingerprint sensor, which is used to identify the status of the driver, whether he/she obtained a license or not. This is a very highly secured system. The driver's fingerprint is already stored in the system for comparison purposes. Nowadays, accidents are increasing day by day. In the recent days minor people are driving the vehicles without the license; this may cause future accidents. In order to conquer this, we proposed this system. This system not only checks the license status, and here a further IR sensor is used to check whether the seat belt wore or not. By using this system, there are tremendous advantages, like accidents will be reduced, high security, and reduced vehicle theft. Keywords: Finger print sensor, microcontroller, and IR sensor.

Multilevel identity fine authentication method based on time-frequency domain feature extraction in industrial internet of things system

The cyber physical system is widely applied to industrial Internet of Things system and its security determines the safety of the industrial IoT system. This paper proposes a multilevel fine fingerprint authentication method for the security protection of key operating equipment. Firstly, Because of the acquired signals, the mathematical representation models are established separately, including the self-encoding model on the basis of the multiorder moment features and the multi-scale representation model based on the wavelet. Secondly, the multigranularity features of the time domain and frequency domain are extracted respectively based on the real-time data's self-encoding representation and multiscale representation. Then, the extracted features of different granularities can be built into the image representation based on the time-frequency fusion portrait. Based on the images of different granularities and the legitimate image library, a multiscale matching authentication method is established. Finally, simulation experiments show that the proposed method is effective.

Design of a Safe Security System Based on Internet of Things Using Face and Fingerprint Detection

Traditional safe security systems usually use manual keys and a combination of numbers or passwords to open the safe. This system has several disadvantages such as being easy to break into, cumbersome, and the owner easily loses the key, even forgets the password needed to open the safe, which causes the safe to be unable to open. This research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based safe security system that uses two security options to open the safe, namely face detection and fingerprint authentication to increase security against unauthorized access with a prototype method. The system uses the ESP32-CAM to capture facial images and send them to the Telegram app for manual verification by the owner, while the fingerprint sensor ensures only registered users can open the safe. Arduino Uno serves as the main microcontroller to manage the integration between components such as ESP32-CAM, fingerprint sensor, relay, solenoid lock, LCD, and buzzer. The test results show that this system is effective in providing security to the safe through notifications, although it still relies on manual verification of faces via Telegram and requires a stable internet connection, and fingerprints that have been registered are successfully implemented. Further development is recommended to automate face recognition and improve the overall performance of the system.

Anthropological and forensic significance of facial soft tissue thickness in Montenegrin population

A lack of soft tissue leads to difficulties in facial reconstruction and further identification in the absence of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), finger print and dental data. If these data are not available, then identification based on facial soft tissue thickness (FSTT) is the next reliable method. There is no data in the literature about facial soft tissue thickness in Montenegrin population. Once the measurement is performed, a software algorithm based on the multidetector computerized tomography (MDCT) imaged bone structures and use of FSTT would be able to provide a useful picture of the face for identification purposes. This prospective research was performed by MDCT head examinations of 83 adults aged 18–85, living in Montenegro. The FSTT was measured at eight central points (glabella (GL), nasion (NA), rhinion (RHI), mid-philtrum (MID), upper lip (UL), lower lip (LL), mental eminence (ME), and the point beneath the chin (BC)), and five bilateral points (frontal tubers (FT), supraorbital (SO), external orbital marginal point (EX), zygomatic arch (ZY), and middle masseter (MST)). It was observed that the points RHI, MID, UL, LL, ME, FT, SO and MST are thicker in men compared to women. With an increase in BMI, FSTT in the central points also increases, as well as bilaterally at the ZY, FT, SO and MST points. With aging, there is an increase of the thickness of the FSTT at the RHI and bilaterally at the EX and ZY, while at the MID, LL and MST, the thickness decreases with aging, in both sexes.

Red luminescence CaSiO3:Eu3+ eco-friendly nontoxic phosphor derived from biomass for display and latent finger print applications

Red luminescent Eu3+ activated CaSiO3 phosphor has been prepared by facile green synthesis hydrothermal route using biomass. Future technologies will be required to synthesize on a massive scale using quick, easy, and affordable ways. The current study deals with the preparation of CaSiO3:Eu3+ using egg shell and rice husk ash. The synthesized powders had a single phased monoclinic structure with space group P1 21/C1. It has been found that addition of Eu3+ ion dopant causes decrease in the optical energy band gap. The phosphor exhibits the intense peak at 612 nm corresponds to 5D0 → 7F2 of the Eu3+ anions upon excitation at 392 nm. The lifetimes ranged from 1.90 to 3.53 ms. With an increase in Eu3+ concentration, emission was tuned towards the red area of the CIE diagram. In order to detect hidden fingerprints on flat surfaces using the powder dusting approach, the CaSiO3:Eu3+ effectiveness was also evaluated. The nontoxicity of CaSiO3:Eu3+ was validated by carrying out a cell viability test on MG 63 cell lines. These outcomes demonstrated that the luminescent CaSiO3:Eu3+ can be used as potential material for display, security encoding, and latent fingerprint applications.

Identification of fingerprint patterns and axial triradius digital angles on male prisoners at Prison X in 2021

Dermatoglyphics is the science of describing streaks on the skin at the tips of the fingers and toes as well as the palms and feet and skin folds on both palms. Several studies have shown a distinctive dermatoglyphic tendency in prisoners. This study aims to determine the fingerprint pattern and the angle of ATD in male prisoners involved in murder and sexual crimes at Prison X. The research sample was obtained by total sampling. The sample size was 113 people. Fingerprint patterns were taken using the Digital persona U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint reader and the ATD angle using a wet stamp on plain paper. The results showed that the dominant fingerprint patterns were the ulnar loop (341 of 720 fingers) and plain whorl (202 of 720 fingers). The dominant ATD angle was &gt;50°. In conclusion, there is no distinctive trend in the fingerprint patterns of male inmates, but there is a distinctive trend in the ATD angle.

Fingerprint Pattern Feature Extraction for Loop Fingerprint Pattern Identification by Zhang-Suen and Stentiford Thinning Method

Every fingerprint that a human possesses must have a fingerprint pattern and must be unique. Each pattern has a ridge pattern that will not change as long as there is no change due to an accident or injury. This ridge pattern can be used as biometric recognition. Based on the ridge pattern owned, the fingerprint pattern is divided into 4 patterns, including the tented arch pattern, the whorl pattern, the loop pattern (ulnar loop and radial loop). The stage of fingerprint pattern recognition begins by looking for minutiae (termination and bifurcation) points on the fingerprint using the Crossing Number (CN) method. Before searching for CN, the fingerprint image must be processed using the Otsu and Zhang-Suen or Stentiford Thinning methods. Thinning is used to facilitate the extraction of minutiae in fingerprint images. The last stage in obtaining the minutiae point is classified by the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) method. The results obtained from the test data were 30 images, 24 images could be classified correctly, and 4 images could not be recognized. The accuracy rate of the fingerprint pattern identification system is 80%.

Unraveling Strong Supramolecular Assembly of a Novel Pyrene Based Hg(II)‐complex: Insights from Hirshfeld Surface, FMO and Molecular Electrostatic Potential (MEP) Analyses

AbstractA rare pyrene‐based coordination compound of Hg(II) [Hg(L)2] (1) (where, HL=2‐((Pyren‐1‐ylmethylene)amino)benzenethiol) was synthesized and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction (SC‐XRD) analysis. Crystallographic analysis revealed that complex 1 has seesaw geometry with HL coordinated as a bidentate ligand to a metal ion. The role of weak forces like π⋅⋅⋅π and CH⋅⋅⋅π interactions in influencing the self‐assembly process appears to be of importance. The electronic structure of the complex was predicted using DFT calculations with mixed basis set. DFT calculated structural parameters are in good agreement with the experimentally obtained parameters from XRD. Molecular reactivity and stability of the complex has been assessed through frontier molecular orbital analysis. Evaluation of molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) displays the electrophilic and nucleophilic reactivity sites. The Hirshfeld surface analysis clearly indicates C−H⋅⋅⋅π interactions and π⋅⋅⋅π stacking interactions are responsible to extend the supramolecular network of the complex. Analyses of the Finger print plots suggest that H⋅⋅⋅H and H⋅⋅⋅C contacts are major interactions for stabilizing the molecular crystal.
