The growth of the Muslim population in Indonesia has driven the expansion of the halal industry, creating opportunities for halal product services. This study examines the communication strategies implemented by Rumah Halal Nusantara. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study shows that effective communication by Halal Product Process (PPH) facilitators is crucial in simplifying the halal certification process for Micro and Small Enterprises. The use of WhatsApp as a communication tool is highly beneficial in providing quick and interactive support. This study highlights the importance of well-structured communication strategies in ensuring the success of the halal certification program. The use of digital platforms like WhatsApp enables real-time communication, making the process more accessible for business owners. Rumah Halal Nusantara's communication strategy in assisting Micro and Small Enterprises to obtain halal certification in Depok City can serve as a model of facilitation. This study emphasizes the importance of continuous support and education to ensure the successful implementation of the halal certification program, ultimately contributing to the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia.

Dampak Industri Halal pada Perekonomian di Indonesia: Pengaruh Pendapatan, Ekspor, dan FDI terhadap PDB Melalui Pendekatan GMM

This research explores the influence of income, exports and foreign direct investment (FDI) on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the halal industry in Indonesia, using the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) approach. This study is based on panel data from companies operating in the halal sector between 2010 and 2022. The results show that income and exports positively and significantly influence GDP growth, confirming the importance of company activities and export performance in driving national economic growth. In contrast, FDI was found to have no significant effect on GDP, indicating that foreign investment's contribution in this sector is not yet optimal or is influenced by other factors such as the quality of institutions and infrastructure. This research provides important implications for policymakers and stakeholders, considering the urgency of improving export strategies, diversifying markets, and improving the quality of institutions and infrastructure to maximize the economic benefits of FDI. In addition, the results of this research also emphasize the important role of the halal industry as a major contributor to Indonesia's economic growth, as well as the need for policies that support further development and diversification of the halal industrial sector.

ROAD MAP AND DEVELOPMENT HALAL INDUSTRY SECTOR IN INDONESIA

The purpose of this research is to find out the halal industry roadmap and the development of the halal industry sector in Indonesia. This research uses a literature review. The literature review uses data from trusted sources to be the research method of the technique used. The result of this study is that the halal industry in Indonesia began with research on food and beverage products found to contain pork extracts in 1988, so the government acted to form the MUI Food, Drug and Cosmetics Assessment Institute (LLPOM) officially in 1989 as the first halal inspection agency in Indonesia. The findings of this study suggest that stakeholders involved in the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia should support the halal industry roadmap. The halal industry business is developing in several sectors, including manufacturing, infrastructure, services, human resources, and halal certification standards. To overcome the demands of the growing halal industry in Indonesia, the government, business companies, and academics must collaborate and synergize to achieve the goal of making Indonesia a global halal center. The halal roadmap will help build and grow the halal ecosystem more methodically and comprehensively.

Urgensi Manajemen Sumber Daya Insani Pada Industri Halal

Today the halal industry is in a significant upward trend, ranging from banking, travel, fashion to other businesses. Of course this requires the best plan to support the increase in the halal industry in Indonesia, especially in the field of human resources. This paper uses a literature review of relevant references related to the urgency of human resource management in the halal industry. The importance of human resource development in the development of the halal industry is needed to encourage the development of the halal industry so that it can compete with conventional industries.

Effectiveness of food safety for halal industry in Indonesia

The present work aimed to identify and analyse stakeholders’ role in improving food safety and halalness in Semarang City. The effectiveness of food safety control can be ensured by one actor, and requires various related actors’ role. The present work used a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches (mixed method). The data were collected using a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held with relevant stakeholders, including Semarang City Health Office, Semarang City Trade Office, Semarang Food and Drug Administration Center, business association, academics, entrepreneurs, Consumer Development and Protection Institute, and consumers. In regard to priority aspect, it was found that emphasis must be given to three main aspects by stakeholders, namely economic, socio-cultural, and institutional, which could be used to ensure food safety and halalness for the people. Moreover, based on the stakeholder analysis results, the actors with significant influence and high dependency were entrepreneurs, Semarang City Health Office, Semarang Food and Drug Administration Center, Agency for Drug and Food Control, and academics. Meanwhile, the actors with firm convergence were Semarang City Health Office, Semarang Food and Drug Administration Center, and business associations since they share a commitment to building food safety. Furthermore, based on the FGD results, some improvements are required regarding food control that the food safety network has carried out, along with establishing food safety and halal regulation.

The Halal industry has emerged as a significant economic sector globally, driven by the growing demand for products and services that conform to Islamic principles. In Indonesia, with the world's largest Muslim population, the Halal industry has enormous potential for growth. This study investigates the role of Shariah risk management, Islamic investment ethics, and usury-free financing in shaping the trajectory of the Halal industry in Indonesia. Using quantitative analysis through structural equation modeling (SEM), this study examines the relationship between these financial practices and the development of the Halal industry. Data collected from key stakeholders in the industry revealed significant positive relationships between Shariah risk management, Islamic investment ethics, usury-free financing, and Halal industry development. The findings provide valuable insights for policy makers, investors, and industry stakeholders looking to foster sustainable growth and innovation in the Halal industry in Indonesia.

Tren dan Perkembangan Fashion Syariah Pada Era Modern di Kota Bandung

At this time the halal industry in Indonesia is becoming a public concern, especially in the field of fashion. The development of fashion trends cannot be separated from the existence of increasingly trendy technology, so business actors are trying to take advantage of these technological developments as a means of ideas and innovations to create products that are appropriate for their time in order to attract the attention of consumers and be able to compete in the market. With the development of syar'i fashion trends, resulting in the increase in sharia business, many designers continue to be innovative by bringing up many designs that are in demand by the public. This study aims to determine the trend of sharia fashion in the modern era in the city of Bandung, as well as find out how far the development of sharia fashion in the modern era. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach by collecting data sourced from previous research, obtained through Google scholar and dimensions. The results of this study show that the halal industry in the fashion sector has become a trend and has a very big opportunity to develop the halal fashion sector. However, behind the great opportunities there are challenges that must be faced including: Lack of halal awareness in Indonesian society, Lack of Public Understanding of the Concept of Halal in Fashion, not many fashion MSMEs that take care of halal certification, low awareness of the Indonesian people to compete.

Halal industry is an effort to process raw goods into finished or semi-finished goods using facilities/equipment whose licenses are in accordance with Islamic law. The large number of Muslim population in Indonesia has a positive impact on the development of the halal industry in Indonesia. In its development, the halal industry is divided into several sectors including halal food, halal fashion, halal pharmacy, halal tourism, halal finance, etc. This study was conducted to review Indonesian halal industry from a microeconomics and macroeconomics perspective. This research uses literature study obtained from various books and relevant journals. The results of this study are in the form of data on Indonesian state revenues and expenditures generated from the halal industry and their effects on the Indonesian economy.

How to Develop Halal Industry in Indonesia

In terms of developing the global halal industry, Indonesia is one of the countries that has great potential, seen from the number of Muslim-majority population. As a result, Indonesia has a large demand for halal products. However, this potential still needs to be developed. This study aims to determine the halal Industrial Strategy in Indonesia with a Delphi technique approach based on interviews with experts. Based on the calculation results, in general, of the 8 variables of the Halal Industry Strategy in Indonesia, all variables have been agreed upon by experts. From the results of the calculation, the 3 main priorities for determining the Halal Industry Strategy in Indonesia are (1) Strengthening Regulation & Policies, (2) Building Halal Life Style, (3) Strengthening HR Capacity. In the future, regulators and related stakeholders of halal industry need to strive to improve the necessary aspects so that in the future the development of the halal industry in Indonesia will rapidly and optimally grow.

Indonesia's potential in the halal industry at this time is very calculated, because Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. This role should not only be seen as a captive market, but also should encourage the growth of the halal industry in Indonesia that is able to compete globally. But in reality, currently Indonesia's halal food and beverage industry has not been included in the top 10 countries with the best halal food and beverage performance in the world. Whereas on the other hand, Indonesia actually has a great opportunity to develop halal products in this sector. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Islamic economic law in the application of the halal value chain (HVC) ecosystem in the halal food and beverage industry in Indonesia. This research method uses a qualitative type of research with a descriptive analysis approach. The implementation of this researchwas carried out at food and beverage companies in Indonesia. The subject of the study was the Head of General Affairs of halal food and beverage managers and halal food and beverage employees in Indonesia. The subject was taken by purposive sampling. The researcher's goal is to take the problems that exist in the Indonesian halal food and beverage industry by implementing the Halal Value Chain ecosystem<strong>.</strong> Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and questionnaires conducted to the Head of General Affairs of the food and beverage industry. The results of this study show that based on data from the Central Stastistic Agency (BPS) related to the Data on the Number of Halal Food and Beverage Exports in 2022 After the implementation of HVC shows that there is an increase in the export process and a reduction in the Import process, this means that the application of HVC in halal food and beverages in Indonesia is very influential so that it can increase the effectiveness of the halal product even though it has not fully run optimally. The supporting factors for the success of HVC are government support, dedicated assets, information technology, human resource management, collaborative partnerships, halal certification and halal traceability

Delphi Method for Prioritizing Halal Industry Development Strategies in Indonesia

This study aims to determine the priority of halal Industrial Strategy in Indonesia with the Delphi qualitative method. The data used are the results of interviews with academics, practitioners and Islamic economics in general. The total number of expert respondents is 11 experts. Based on the results of the study, in general, of the 8 Strategy variables, all variables have been agreed upon by experts to determine the development strategy of the halal industry in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the order of the most important variables of the Halal Industry Strategy in Indonesia are: (1) Strengthening Regulation & Policies, (2) Building Halal Life Style (3) Strengthening HR Capacity, (4) Holistic Halal Value Chain, (4) Scaling Up Halal Fund and Product Innovation, (4) Sharia Financial Literacy and Inclusion, (7) Halal Research Development, (8) Strengthening Industry and Capacity.

The Role of Non-State Actors in Establishing the Halal Ecosystem in Indonesia

Amidst the global growth of the Muslim population, the need for products or services that comply with sharia law has become unavoidable. As the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has declared itself to become a major player in the global halal industry. This can be seen from the changes made by Indonesia in the last decade, both in policy and governance aspects to form an effective halal sector ecosystem as planned in the Indonesia Islamic Economic Masterplan 2019-2024. However, amid several policies implemented by the government, the role of non-state actors, including but not limited to large industries, business groups and MSMEs, community organizations or NGOs, and product influencers, increases and mainstreaming the halal industry in Indonesia cannot be ruled out. Based on a study of several literature related to the halal industry in Indonesia, researchers see that most of the research on the halal industry in Indonesia focuses on discussing strategy and the government as well as opportunities and challenges for Indonesia in developing the halal industry. Therefore, the study aims to discuss the role of non-state actors in forming the halal industrial ecosystem in Indonesia.

Analysis of The Contention of Religious Ideology and Halal Industry in Social Media about Halal Logo Rebranding

The Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) halal logo design has pros and cons for Indonesian Muslims in terms of Arabic calligraphy, the shape of the halal logo, which resembles a wayang, and a total change from the previous halal logo of the Indonesian Council of Ulama (Majelis Ulama Indonesia). This research aims to analyze the phenomenon of the halal industry in Indonesia in the context of the contention between religious and industrial ideologies on social media, focusing the study on the controversial rebranding of the halal logo. This research uses a qualitative analysis method with a mass communication and political science approach to understand the substance and objectives of the various parties involved in the halal logo controversy on social media. This research indicates that a total change of the halal logo is not urgent in improving the quality of halal product guarantee services in Indonesia. The BPJPH halal logo design prioritizes artistic expression rather than Halal writing in Arabic as a sign that the product is "Halal," so it is difficult to read as a "Halal" sign. The essence of the halal logo is that it is a sign that the product has been certified halal by BPJPH so that the certainty of halal writing is easier and quicker for consumers to understand.

Contribution of the Halal Industry to Sustainable Economic Development in Indonesia: A Bibliometric Analysis

This study aims to investigate how the development of the halal industry promotes sustainable economic growth in Indonesia using bibliometric methods. The research employs bibliometric analysis with Publish or Perish and VOSviewer to map the literature and provide an overview. Based on the results of a systematic literature review, the researchers identified 500 Google Scholar articles from 2015 to 2023 through searches using Publish or Perish. The data was analyzed using VOSviewer to map the contribution of the halal industry to sustainable economic development. The results of the mapping are divided into three clusters: cluster 1 for economic development and growth, cluster 2 for the halal industry, and cluster 3 for halal tourism. The findings indicate that the halal industry in Indonesia plays a strategic role in economic growth. The halal industry can serve as a means for economic empowerment, employment expansion, and sustainable development, thereby enhancing the country's industrial competitiveness and boosting the national economy.

Developing Halal Industry in Indonesia using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM)

Halal industry has become a popular object and the latest trends in the world of international business. Not only in Indonesia but also Malaysia, Thailand even Europe began to glance at the potential and opportunities for halal industry. The phenomenon that began to develop halal industry in recent years is quite the attention of businesses and consumers themselves. Labeling "halal" or "sharia" on a product, not again become a form of obligation or obedience to a Muslim but has become the strength of a strong market, which not only as a guarantee of the products that are allowed for a Muslim but also a symbol of the global for quality assurance and a lifestyle choice. In previous studies, many researchers were interested in examining issues about the potential of halal industry, while very few researchers discuss the problems of the development of halal industry in Indonesia. Though research on the obstacles and development strategies of halal industry is needed to accelerate the development of halal industry in Indonesia. Based on this problem, which is taken from the study of literature, previous research and indepth interviews with academicians and practitioners, some issues in the development of the halal industry in Indonesia is divided into five aspects: 1) Policy, 2) Production, 3) Socialization, 4) Infrastructure, and 5) Human Resources.

The effect of liquidity and leverage on financial performance with company size as a moderating variable: A study on companies listed in Jakarta Islamic Index 30

IntroductionThe Jakarta Islamic Index is an index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which contains companies that contribute to the halal industry in Indonesia. However, research on financial performance specifically using liquidity, leverage and company size is still limited.ObjectivesThe research aims to examine the effect of liquidity and leverage on performance financial with company size as a moderating variable. This research aims to find out which companies in the Jakarta Islamic Index 30 are influenced by factors that can improve their financial performance so that they have a more positive impact on companies and investors.MethodThe subject of this research companies listed on Jakarta Islamic Index 30 for 2020 – 2022. Data collection techniques used in this study were purposive sampling and with a sample size of 114 samples. While the data analysis techniques used in this study is classic multiple regression analysis with interaction.ResultsThe analysis show that liquidity has a significant effect on financial performance, leverage has no effect on financial performance, company size moderates liquidity on financial performance but does not moderate leverage to financial performance.ImplicationsCompanies registered on Jakarta Islamic Index 30 can utilize their debt policy to obtain additional capital as long as the use is reasonable and does not burden the company.Originality/NoveltyThis study contributes to broaden the knowledge on financial performance of companies listed in Jakarta Islamic Index 30.
