Effective Learning Guidance Program in Improving the Calistung Ability of Children Aged 5-10 Years in Sudipayung Village

Calistung is a learning activity carried out by children by writing or drawing on layers of paper orother media spread on the floor. The calistung method aims to develop children's fine motor skills, such as the ability to write, draw, and recognize letters or numbers. CaLisTung can also help children develop cognitive and social skills, such as recognizing colors and shapes and interacting with peers. This service was carried out in Sudipayung Village, Ngampel District, and Kendal Regency. Parti cipants in this program are child renat the elementary school evelin Tanjung Asri Village, with a total of 25 children. The results of the implementation of this service show that the use of the method Calistung students have literacy skills such as reading, writing, and arithmetic. This kind of activitycan create beneficial changes by improving their literacy skills. increases student engagement inlearning and has a positive impacton their emotional as pects, knowledge, and behavior.

Pendampingan Literasi Bahasa Inggris Komunitas Anak Kampung Walal (KAWAL) di Kabupaten Sorong

In the 21st century, the acquisition of English as a second language is very important for a group of children in Walal Village who are currently studying at elementary school. This is useful for supporting 6 skills of 21st century education, namely critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaboration, culture and connectivity. Walal Village is one of the model villages in Sorong Regency which has a high enthusiasm for creating the latest breakthroughs, especially in the field of education. Walal Village is located in Salawati District which must be traveled 35 kilometers from Sorong City. Thus, access to information related to education is very limited for children in Walal Village. In this case, students of the Community Service Lecture (KPM) at the Muhammadiyah Sorong Education University provided one month of English literacy assistance for the children of Kampung Walal community. The aim of this assistance is an effort to empower Human Resources (HR) through a community empowerment program for English language learning guidance. This English literacy assistance is very important to provide to Walal Village children who are already aware of the importance of English around them. This program is also related to the description of the Walal Village Government's vision and mission in developing human resources in terms of quality education. English literacy assistance includes acquiring English, processing language in the form of remembering and memorizing words or terms, and understanding meanings that can be applied to listening, reading, speaking and writing skill activities. The efforts of this English literacy assistance are to change the mindset of the children of Walal Village that learning English is fun, regardless of age, and affordable. In fact, through mentoring, children in Walal Village experience changes in knowledge and attitudes during the English literacy process.

Hope action theory: An intervention career development for adolescence

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the development of technological disruption in the current era of globalization have resulted in uncertainty and challenges, especially in the field of workforce recruitment. This condition requires readiness for career selection in the pre-employment age profile. Therefore, effective career guidance is increasingly needed. This study aimed to map the HAI (Hope-Action Inventory) profile of 82 high school students as the basis for career guidance and counseling service programs in high school. The method used in this research was a descriptive study of hope-action competencies assessment. The measurement of HAI competencies was important for effectively managing one's career development. This study found that 13% of students were still in the low expected action competence category. Several dimensions of competence measured showed a range of several dimensions of hope-action competence that were still undetermined, namely the dimensions of self-clarity (mean 2.98. SD 0.23), visioning (mean 3.11. SD 0.16), goal setting and planning (mean 3.06. SD 0.16). Some correlations among these dimensions (r = 0.187 to 0.661) suggest a hierarchy in the competency profile of action expectations that should be considered for developing programs career guidance and counseling service program that integrates the hope action theory. It is expected that programs career guidance and counseling that integrates the hope action theory will be more effective in enhancing career development.

EFEKTIVITAS BIMBINGAN PRANIKAH DALAM MEWUJUDKAN KELUARGA SAKINAH OLEH KANTOR URUSAN AGAMA (KUA) MAYAMUK KABUPATEN SORONG

The occurrence of marital conflict is often because the marriage is not in accordance with the expectations and goals of the couple who marry. This is due to several things, for example, the bride and groom do not understand the real purpose of marriage even though the marriage is based on mutual love. In order to build a peaceful family, pre-marital guidance is needed, which is an effort to provide assistance to couples in solving problems or information about marriage, which will be faced by prospective brides. The focus of the problem studied are: 1) how is the implementation of premarital guidance program in KUA Mayamuk Sorong Regency? 2) how is the effectiveness of premarital guidance in forming a sakinah family after marriage at KUA Mayamuk Sorong Regency? Based on the sakinah of the researcher's interviews with the three couples who have participated in premarital guidance and have been married, the data obtained has shown that some of these informants have met the benchmarks of a Sakinah family (sakinah i family). Sakinah i families are families that are built on a legal marriage and have been able to fulfill their spiritual and material needs minimally but still cannot fulfill their social psychological needs, such as educational needs, religious guidance and family, following religious social interactions with their environment.

Exploration of Teachers Perception on their Roles in Career Guidance among Secondary Schools Students Career Choices

Aims: The study aim to explore the perceptions of teachers on their roles as career guidance providers on the challenges and opportunities associated with guiding students towards career pathways Study Design: Using qualitative methodology, Participants of this study were carefully chosen as experienced career guidance masters from the selected schools in Katsina State. The data was gathered through semi-structured interview and which is guided by a validated interview protocol linked with the research objective. Place and Duration of Study: Secondary schools of Katsina State Nigeria between December 2023 and April 2024. Methodology: We included 10 teachers (5 men, 5 women; age range 25-55 years) with teaching experience. The data collected was carefully analysed using ATLAS.ti 23 software to draw the schematic diagrams leading to discuss each theme and category based on existing literature. Results: From the findings, two main themes emerged from the analyses; “effectiveness of career guidance program and teachers' engagement”. From each of the two themes, three categories emerged with various quotations from the participants. These quotations were used to inform the development of more responsive and impactful career guidance initiatives within various educational institutions in Katsina state and beyond. Conclusion: Ultimately, this study contributes to the on-going discourse on policy and the development of career guidance in schools as a realm of career development that fosters a more inclusive approach to student guidance and successful future professional. However, further research may be necessary, particularly in other geographical areas.

BIMBINGAN BAGI ANAK BERKESULITAN BELAJAR SD SWASTA MUHAMMADIYAH 43 KECAMATAN KABANJAHE KABUPATEN KARO

This research aims to assist students in developing their potential optimally through comprehensive learning guidance. This research aims to explore and develop an effective guidance program for children with learning difficulties in Elementary School (SD). This activity was carried out at SD Swasta Muhammadiyah 43 Kabanjahe, on May 5, 2024. Learning difficulties experienced by children can affect their academic achievement as well as their emotional and social development. This research uses a qualitative method, namely by conducting orientation to elementary school teachers and parents, providing learning support and mentoring services, as well as monitoring and evaluating program activities. The approach used is an individual technique that applies directive counseling, group guidance applies the home room outside of lesson hours. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, counselors, and parents, as well as direct observation of students with learning difficulties. The research results show that the guidance given to children with learning difficulties must be individual and tailored to the needs of each child. An effective guidance program involves collaboration between teachers, counselors, and parents, as well as the use of creative and diverse learning strategies. Some effective strategies found include a multisensory approach, project-based learning, and the use of educational technology. In addition, emotional support and motivation were also found to be key factors in helping children overcome their learning difficulties.This research concludes that structured and ongoing guidance is very important in supporting children with learning difficulties in elementary school. Recommendations for the implementation of guidance programs include training for teachers and counselors, increasing parental involvement, and developing school policies that support inclusion and diversity in teaching methods.

Evaluation of the Implementation of Guidance and Counseling Programs (A Literature Study)

This study aims to explain in detail the theoretical basis and implementation of the evaluation of guidance and counseling programs in schools. The research method used is literature study, with data collection using the documentation method. Data analysis was performed using content analysis method. To ensure research accuracy and prevent misinformation in data analysis, relevant references were checked and re-read. The main objective of this research is to develop the theoretical basis and implementation of the guidance and counseling program. The results of this study include the elaboration of the basic theory and implementation of the guidance and counseling program as a whole, which includes: 1) understanding of program evaluation, 2) components of the guidance and counseling program, 3) understanding of evaluation of guidance and counseling programs, 4) the benefits of carrying out evaluation of guidance and counseling programs counseling, 5) evaluation procedures for guidance and counseling programs, 6) barriers to evaluating guidance and counseling programs.

NAVIGATING THE JOB MARKET: A MULTIPLE CASE STUDY ON SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES IN JOB SEARCHING

This multiple case study aimed to discover and understand the experiences of Senior High School graduates in job searching in Davao Region. The data were taken from the three (3) participants and three (3) informants whose responses were collected through in-depth interviews. Using the thematic analysis, essential themes were extracted from the participants’ responses. On the lived experiences related to job searching, the results revealed nine (9) major themes: preference for college graduates over SHS graduates, difficulty in job application process, stress and pressure in job searching, sense of unfulfilled career potentials despite K to 12 training, job instability and short-term opportunities, impediments to self-confidence and job security, importance of preparation before a job interview, economic insecurity, and deprivation of field experience during the work immersion. Furthermore, on how they overcome their struggles from job searching, six (6) themes emerged: preventing burnout from rejections through leisure activities, earning income through side hustles, intensifying self-reliance and independence, cultivating positive mindset, seeking advice and preparing for interviews, and applying for an industry that accept SHS graduates. Moreover, from the insights gained by the participants, six (6) major themes emerged: disregard the educational-based bias, nurture job resiliency, enhance the job readiness skills for practical experiences, call for work immersion opportunities for SHS students, meet the demands of the industry, and invest in career guidance programs. Cross-case analysis were also utilized to determine the similarities and differences of the themes that transpired. The results of this study were deemed significant to senior high school graduates, parents, teachers, school administrators, DepEd authorities, and future researchers. Bridging and bonding social capital in place-based rural careers advising

AbstractResearch studies continue to document the inequitable access to quality careers education and guidance for rural Australian youth, raising questions about these programs in rural schools. A significant proportion of the existing rural careers education and guidance literature focuses on factors of students’ decision-making, with little attention on the role of the careers advisor. This article explores how rural careers advisors develop and leverage their social capital to create place-based careers education and guidance programs. Drawing on narrative interviews with career advisors in western Victoria, the article uses theories of bridging and bonding social capital as an analytic framework to highlight the risks and opportunities in creating place-based programs. It argues that local knowledge and a strong network of relationships across the local communities assists advisors in tailoring relevant and effective careers education and guidance. This is vital to ensuring rural students have access to the quality careers education and guidance they need to have positive post-school outcomes.

The Relationship between Responsibility and Academic Achievement among Secondary School Students in International Pioneers Academy Schools in Jordan

The study aimed to measure the relationship between responsibility in choice theory and academic achievement among secondary school students in Al-Rowad International Schools in Jordan. To achieve the goal of the study, the researchers used the descriptive, correlational approach and used the measure of responsibility and the measure of academic achievement. The study sample consisted of (50) male and female students. The sample was selected from secondary school classes randomly. The results of the study revealed that there is a direct relationship between responsibility and perceived academic achievement among high school students in Al-Rowad schools in Jordan, where the value of the correlation coefficient reached (0.808), which is a statistically significant value at the significance level (0.05). The study came out with several recommendations, the most prominent of which are: developing Activating guidance programs based on choice theory to improve responsible behavior to raise the level of achievement.

Differential responses to academic stress during the COVID-19 pandemic, transition, and the new normal period

This study aimed to investigate decreasing student academic stress in distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, transition period, and new normal era by giving a self-help module to students. This research employed an experimental approach with a group pre-test post-test design with quantitative analytics. The perceived academic stress scale (PASS) and module evaluation scale were utilized to assess students' academic stress levels and their understanding of the module. The subjects consisted of one male student and thirty-seven female students, as the school was dominated by female students. This study indicated that students' academic stress levels during the pandemic and the new normal were in the medium range (18.82 - 19.97). The results showed that there was no significant difference in academic stress between the pandemic and the transition period (t = 1.322, p 0.05) and the data between the pandemic and the new normal (t = -1.426, p 0.05), while between the transition period and the new normal, it showed a significant difference (t = -4.189, p 0.05). The study recommends that schools develop future guidance and counseling programs to help students cope with stress and build resilience. This study's findings can inform policy decisions and academic interventions to support students' mental health and academic success during challenging times.

Urgensi Perkuat Layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling pada Masa Transisi Siswa SMP

Junior High School or mostly called SMP, is often referred to as a transitional period. During this time, students often face challenges and difficulties that require guidance and counseling services to help them navigate this crucial stage. However, limited access to guidance and counseling services prevents students from receiving optimal support. This can lead to various problems, including unaddressed student issues, declining academic performance, and impaired mental health. Therefore, strategic steps are needed to strengthen guidance and counseling services in SMP.This study employs a qualitative library research method. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that guidance and counseling in SMP need to be strengthened to ensure optimal delivery of services. The following are strategic steps for strengthening guidance and counseling services in SMP: (1) Increasing the number of guidance and counseling teachers. (2)Enhancing the professionalism of guidance and counseling teachers. (3)Developing infrastructure and resources. (4)Implementing a comprehensive and systematic guidance and counseling program. (5)Establishing collaboration with internal and external stakeholders of the school. It is expected that by strengthening these services, guidance and counseling can be effectively delivered, creating a conducive learning environment, and supporting holistic student development.

Implementation of the Kirkpatrick Model in Evaluating the Use of Digital Technology in Counseling Guidance Programs at SMP Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara

This research aimed to evaluate the Guidance Counseling (BK) service program in the use of digital technology at SMP Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara using the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model. This research method was quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data is technically collected using questionnaire techniques which are the main data source. The subjects in the research were 60 class VIII students who were determined based on a saturated sampling technique where all members of the population were used as research samples. In the context of this research, students act as evaluators or beneficiaries, while the guidance and counseling teachers and school principals are the parties who evaluate the guidance and counseling program services that are implemented. The results of the research show that: 1) At the reaction level, BK services are perceived as showing a scale using digital technology that is on a medium scale with an average of 3.35, 2) At the learning level, BK services in terms of technology use obtain an average of 3. 57 in the high category, 3) At the behavior level with indicators of application of values in the program it is in the medium category with an average of 3.38 in aspects of technology use that need special attention to be optimized, 4) At the results level, students assume that the use of technology is in the medium category with an average of 3.35 which needs to be maximized to improve the quality of the BK program at the research location.

This study investigates the impact of career coaching on the intrinsic motivation of undergraduate students majoring in education management in Jiangxi, China. With the rapid growth of career guidance services in Jiangxi, understanding how career coaching influences students' intrinsic motivation is crucial for both educational institutions and policymakers. The study employs a descriptive research approach, utilizing questionnaires distributed to 200 undergraduate students across five universities in Jiangxi. Data analysis will be conducted using SPSS software, focusing on Likert scale responses. The research aims to uncover the relationship between self-efficacy, career aspirations, personality traits, and coach capability on students' intrinsic motivation. It also explores the cultural context of Jiangxi and its potential influence on career coaching effectiveness. Additionally, the study investigates the long-term effects of career coaching on intrinsic motivation and its impact on various aspects of students' lives, including mental health and social well-being. The findings from this study have broad implications for education in Jiangxi, offering insights into how career coaching can enhance students' motivation, job satisfaction, and overall well-being. It also sheds light on the role of career guidance programs in contributing to a more prosperous Jiangxi economy. Ultimately, this research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on career coaching and its effects on intrinsic motivation, with potential applications for career development strategies in China and beyond.

الارشاد النفسي هو احد فروع علم النفس التطبيقي وقد تطور هذا الفرع تطورا سريعا في القرن الماضي ووضعت له نظريات شملت مجالاته جميعا التي تخدم حياة الانسان وحركته وحيويته مند الولادة حتى الشيخوخة مرورا بالمراحل الدراسية كافه ومرحلة العمل والحياة الاجتماعية والاسرية والمؤسساتية ومنها المؤسسة الرياضية ممثله في لاعبي الفعاليات الرياضية الجماعية والفردية ،تكمن مشكلة البحث في الوقوف على الحاجات الارشادية لخفض قلق المنافسة الرياضية وهل بإمكان جلسات الارشاد النفسي خفض قلق المنافسة الرياضية التي تعترض لاعبي كرة السلة، وهدفت الدراسة الى التعرف على مستوى القلق لدى اللاعبين عينة البحث وكذلك التعرف على تأثير الجلسات الارشادية في خفض القلق لهم ،وافترض الباحثون الجلسات الارشادية لها تأثير ايجابي لخفض القلق المنافسة الرياضية لدى عينة البحث المكونة من 14 لاعب اجريت عليهم الدراسة من خلال توزيع استمارة اختبار القلق وكذلك عمل جلسات ارشادية مكونة من 8 جلسات مدة الجلسة 30 دقيقة في اختبارين قبلي وبعدي وبعد جمع البيانات ومعالجتها احصائيا باستخدام الحقيبة الاحصائية spss توصلت الباحثون الى ان اللاعبين يتمتعون بمستوى عالي من قلق المنافسة وان الجلسات الارشادية اثرت ايجابيا بخفض القلق لديهم ،وقد اوصى الباحثون بضرورة اخذ الجانب النفسي دوره في الاعداد الرياضي وعند عمل الوحدات التدريبية بالإضافة الى جلسات ومحاضرات الارشاد النفسي للاعبين .

Health guidance intervention mitigates the escalation of predicted comprehensive cardiovascular disease risk: Interrupted time series design

IntroductionMetabolic syndrome increases the risk of cardiovascular events. Despite the Japanese healthcare system's efforts in early detection and intervention, particularly through Specific Health Checkup and Guidance programs, research on their effectiveness is limited. This study evaluated the impact of Specific Health Guidance on the predicted risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in working-age Japanese individuals. MethodsEmploying an Interrupted Time Series (ITS) design, this study compared the trends in predicted ASCVD risk and each individual risk factor used for the prediction of ASCVD risk before and after intervention in individuals participating in the guidance. ResultsAnalyses based on the ITS design indicated that participation in Specific Health Guidance programs, specifically the intensive level program, mitigates the increase trend of the predicted ASCVD risk. On the other hand, the impact on the trends of individual cardiovascular risk factors was minimal. ConclusionsThe intensive level Specific Health Guidance appeared to reduce the increasing trend in ASCVD risk, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive risk assessment in evaluating health interventions. However, the results are limited owing to the specific demographics and short evaluation period. Further research is necessary to understand the long-term impacts and broader applicability.

ANALISIS KINERJA GURU BK: PELAKSANAAN BIMBINGAN KLASIKAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEJURUAN

This study aims to look at the performance of guidance and counseling teachers at SMKN 1 Cikarang Utara in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a case study design with a focus on developing an in-depth analysis of the performance of guidance and counseling teachers. Data collection techniques using observation of the environment of SMKN 1 Cikarang Utara, interviews with the head of bk coordination and 3 guidance and counseling teachers and documentation in the form of photos and collection of supporting data. Data validity techniques use validity and credibility tests by triangulation as reinforcement and supporting data. The results showed that the implementation of the classical guidance program carried out went well in accordance with the objectives to be achieved. There is a change for the better in achieving service goals before and after being given a classical guidance program. These changes were accepted by several students. Changes that occur include changes in behavior, mindset, insight and knowledge.
