Abstract High-altitude operations present significant safety risks and challenges in accurately detecting combustible gases due to the inherent dangers of working at heights and the technical limitations of traditional detection methods. This study proposes a portable high-altitude combustible gas alarm detection device designed to address the safety risks and accuracy issues associated with high-altitude operations. By integrating wireless communication technology, precise gas concentration control, and automated flow adjustment, this device enables remote ground-based detection, eliminating the safety hazards of high-altitude operations while ensuring measurement accuracy. The device’s real-time monitoring of gas concentration within the calibration hood mitigates the issue of standard gas dilution in the air, and automated control further enhances detection precision. Experimental results demonstrate the device’s suitability for high-altitude alarm calibration, with a concentration measurement error of less than ±5% FS. This research offers a novel technical solution for the on-site detection of high-altitude combustible gas alarms.
