1. It is shown that, by rolling a mixture of carbonyl nickel and urea powders, it is possible to produce sintered electrode strip reinforced with gauze or a grid, having a porosity of about 75% after sintering. 2. The rolled strip may have the following constructional features: a) the powder mass layer may extend 1.0–2.0 mm beyond the edge of the grid strip; b) the grid strip may protrude from the powder layer along the length of the strip. 3. Sintered strip produced by rolling is superior to pressed strip lengths in respect to thickness and porosity uniformity.
