This article seeks to relate the foundations of Ethics and Knowledge Organization, perceiving them as internally connected, in order to build conceptual bridges between the two fields. The objective is to propose a characterization of Ethics and Social Justice, pointing out the consequences of its denial or absence in the Knowledge Organization. For this, a qualitative investigation was carried out that places the ethical debate in Plato and in the formation of ancient Greek philosophy, as well as presenting the concept of Social Justice as parity of participation, along the lines established by Nancy Fraser. The results indicate that the practice focused on Social Justice can be considered a super value for the Organization of Knowledge, acting in the sense of strengthening its own theoretical foundation and its orientation towards the expansion of democracy.
