PENGARUH EKSTRAK BUAH BELIMBING WULUH (AVERRHOA BILIMBI L.) TERHADAP DAYA TETAS TELUR IKAN GURAMI

Carp is one of commodities freshwater many developed by the cultivator of the fish, as the demand for a high market, maintenance easy and princes relatively stable, think nice and nutrition content high. One alternative to address the problem is the use of extract fruit carambola wuluh. Of which it has infected a fungus saprolegnia sp. Marinated to extrac the fruit of the leatherback wuluh. Growth Performance, Survival Rate and p38 Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase of Giant Gourami Fry (Osphronemus gouramy) on Different Temperature Levels

The low survival value of gourami fish juvenile is because gourami is easily stressed. Changes in temperature in the rearing media environment can affect fish life and can even cause stress. Cortisol and blood glucose are indicators of early stress in fish which then naturally respond to the presence of environmental stressors by producing stress proteins such as mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in growth, survival and p38 MAPKs of gourami fish juvenile reared at different temperatures. The working method used in this research is the experimental method. This research was conducted with 3 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatments given include (A) 27°C temperature treatment, (B) 29°C temperature treatment, (C) 31°C temperature treatment. Observations made were measurements of growth, survival, and p38 MAPK levels as well as physical and chemical parameters. The results of this study indicate that 31°C is the best temperature for gourami, the expression of p38 MAPK shows low distribution characterized by little brown color, survival rate of 80%, length growth of 1.8-2cm and daily growth rate of 0.21 g/day. During the study the pH in the treatments ranged from 7.3-8.1, while oxygen levels ranged from 4.2-7.7mg/l.

Evaluation of gouramy fish (Osphronemus goramy) hatchery in Pandaan Aquaculture Installation, Pasuruan

Abstract Gourami fish is well-known among the public due to its economical impact, good tastes, and easy to cultivate. This study aimed to determine the performance of gourami hatcheries at the Pandaan Aquaculture Installation. The method in this research used active participation and descriptive methods. The data collection method used was from primary and secondary data. The evaluation results showed that hatchery activity there produced a fertilization rate of 97.6%, hatching rate of 95.3%, survival rate of 91.3%, and specific growth rate of 7.85%. Water quality in hatchery activities also met standards. Gouramy hatchery activities included pond preparation, broodstock preparation, brood spawning, egg harvesting, egg hatching, larval and seed rearing, nursery, water quality monitoring, feed management, and pest and disease management. It can be concluded that hatchery activity at Pandaan Aquaculture Installation shows good performance.

Inovasi Solar Dryer Dome pada Usaha Budidaya Multiguna untuk Mendukung Urban Farming di Ekowisata Sungkai Green Park Lambung Bukit Pauh Kota Padang

The implementation of the Solar Dryer Dome innovation in Sungkai Green Park Ecotourism, Lambung Bukit Village, Pauh District, Padang City, is a strategic step in supporting urban farming practices. Lecturers and students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Andalas University, have successfully integrated this technology in the cultivation of vegetables, fish, broiler chickens, and the tea drying process. This infrastructure is equipped with a UV plastic roof to protect plants from excessive UV rays, while the center of the dome functions as a fish pond that utilizes fish waste as natural fertilizer for plants. The IoT-based control system allows efficient monitoring and control via mobile devices, with various sensors for temperature, humidity, soil pH, and water quality. As a result, harvest time becomes more efficient—vegetables in 21-27 days, gourami fish around 1000 per year, broiler chickens in 30 days, and dried tea in 8 hours in sunny weather. The specific objectives of implementing this innovation at the Solar Dryer Dome location are to increase production efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve product quality, all of which have a positive impact on local food security. This initiative also supports sustainable urban farming practices and improves community knowledge and skills in modern agriculture. Overall, the Solar Dryer Dome has a significant positive impact on the community and the surrounding environment.

The development of an IoT-based automated temperature and pH monitoring system to enhance the management of gourami fish ponds

This research aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automated system for monitoring temperature and pH in the context of gourami fish farming. Gourami fish ponds are often situated in various environments with significant variations in environmental conditions. The system is designed to enable pond owners to remotely monitor real-time water temperature and pH, which are key factors in maintaining optimal water quality and fish health. The temperature sensor used is the DS18B20, while the pH sensor used is the E210C. The ESP32 platform is employed due to its integrated Wi-Fi capabilities. Monitoring displays are accessible on an LCD, personal computer (PC), and smartphone. This research involves the calibration and validation of temperature and pH sensors to ensure accurate measurements. The average standard deviation value for the temperature sensor is 0.092, and for the pH sensor, it is 0.031. The average accuracy of the temperature sensor is 98.60%, while the pH sensor has an average accuracy of 98.41%. The results demonstrate that IoT-based temperature and pH monitoring allow for in-depth data analysis of environmental conditions and long-term trend analysis in pond management.

THE EFFECT OF ADDITIONAL DOSES OF CURCUMA FLOUR (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb) IN FEED ON THE GROWTH OF GOURAMY (Osphronemus gouramy) FRY

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum content of the addition of curcuma flour with different doses to the feed on the growth of gourami fry (Osphronemus gouramy). The method used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) experimental method, which consisted of 5 treatments with 3 replications. The treatment used was treatment (A) without giving curcuma flour (control), (B) giving curcuma flour at 2.5%/kg feed, (C) giving curcuma flour at 5%/kg feed, (D) giving curcuma flour ginger at 7.5%/kg feed, (E) giving curcuma flour at 10%/kg feed. The results of analysis of variance (Anova) showed that the addition of the flour at different doses had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the growth of gouramy fish fry. The results showed that the addition of curcuma flour at 7.5%/kg of feed gave the best results with the highest absolute weight growth of 15.11 ± 0,42 g, the highest absolute length growth of 3.92 ± 0,42 cm, the feed conversion ratio of 1.95 ± 0.11, and survival of 100%. Use of Reasonable Land in Developing Gourami Fish Cultivation for the People of Karangeger Pajarakan Village

This study aims to build the economy in the village mastarakat Karanggeger Pajarakan Probolinggo in an effort to improve the welfare of the community, welfare will be realized if the community's income increases. One of them is entrepreneurship through the empowerment of Gourami ponds which is expected to increase people's income. The method used is the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) approach with emphasis on empowerment, understanding the potential and challenges to improve the quality of individuals and groups. The result of this community service is in community empowerment through the development of aquaculture with ABCD approach to the community or residents, the authors found that the fish pond asset is very promising to improve the economy of the community, so that people know this in order to design the design as well as possible in accordance with the instructions of the fisheries office. Gourami fish management has been done starting with seeding as many as 10 thousand fish that will be harvested within the next 8-12 months.

EFEK PENAMBAHAN ESTRAK DAUN PEPAYA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN IKAN GURAMI (Osphronemus goramy)

This research aims to determine the effect of giving papaya leaf extract on the growth of gourami fish (Osphronemus goramy). This research was carried out in May - June 2021 in Bengkulu City for 60 days. The test fish used were gourami fish measuring 6-8 cm. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments, namely P1: Without papaya leaf extract (control), P2: Dose of papaya leaf extract (10%), P3: Dose of papaya leaf extract (20%), P4: Dose of extract papaya leaves (30%). Each treatment was repeated six times. The research data was analyzed using analysis of variance then continued with further tests for BNT 5% and 1%. The research results of adding papaya leaf extract to the growth of gourami fish for 60 days had a very significant effect on the parameters of absolute weight, absolute length, feed conversion and feed efficiency and had no effect on the survival of the gourami fish. The best treatment for the growth of gourami fish is an additional dose of 20% - 30% papaya leaf extract.

Osphronemus goramy scales-derived type 1 Collagen induces RUNX2 and Osteocalcin expression: An in vivo Study

Introduction: Alveolar bone defects need bone augmentation therapies by subtituting with bone material. Gourami (Osphronemus goramy) fish scale comprises type 1 collagen and it has been used as scaffolding material in bone tissue engineering. As alternative bone graft material, the scales have a big potency to promote osteogenesis in periodontal bone defect when autografts are not feasible. This study will analise Runx2 and Osteocalcin expression in wistar rat alveolar bone induced by type 1 collagen derived from gourami fish scale. Methods: 32 male Wistar rats were divided into four groups; control group—7 days (C7), treatment group—7 days (P7), control group—14 days (C14), and treatment group—14 days (P14). The left mandibular incisivus was extracted and the tooth socket was treated with 10mg collagen. The rats were euthanized (at day 7th and 14th) and immunohistochemistry was performed using monoclonal antibodies anti-RUNX2 and anti-osteocalcin. Results: After seven days and 14days, the expression of RUNX2 and osteocalcin in the treatment group increased significantly (p<0.05) compared with the control group. Conclusion: Type 1 collagen from gourami (Osphronemus goramy) fish scales increases RUNX2 and osteocalcin expression as a bone growth marker.

Impact of Feed Additives on the Growth of Gourami Fish Seeds (Osphronemus gourami)

The high market demand for gourami has led to an increase in fish farming activities. However, this fish farming activity is constrained by the spawning and breeding process. Gourami fish takes quite a long time in the seed growth phase so it is feared that it can hamper the fulfillment of gourami fish stocks in the market. Several studies have been conducted to shorten the growth time of fish seeds. One of them is in the field of feed. Modification and alternative feed are expected to contribute to science in the cultivation of gourami fish seeds. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of feeding additives to increase the growth of carp fry (Osphoronemous gouramy). The research was conducted from August to October 2019 using nets in concrete ponds. The research was conducted experimentally using the group randomized design (RAK) method carried out in 4 treatments and 4 groups. The treatments tested were the provision of additional ingredients consisting of P_1 = 15% Probiotic / Kg feed, P_2 = 0.4% Vitamin C / Kg feed, P_3 = 3% Spirulina/kg feed, P_4 = 3.25% Papain enzyme/kg feed. Observation parameters include absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, survival, and feed conversion ratio. The results showed that 3% spirulina/kg and 3.25% papain enzyme/kg had a significant effect on the rate of weight growth and growth.

Monitoring dan Klasifikasi Kualitas Air Kolam Ikan Gurami Berbasis Internet of Things Menggunakan Metode Naive Bayes

Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) noted that Indonesia produced 56,539 tons of gourami fish in the second quarter of 2022 High market demand and economical selling prices encourage farmers to cultivate gourami fish. In cultivating gourami fish there are several obstacles, for example, disease caused by poor water quality. Water quality is the main parameter in the success of gourami fish farming. This research aims to develop a water quality monitoring system based on the Internet of Things. The system prototype uses a temperature sensor (DS18B20), Ph sensor (dfrobot SEN0161), turbidity sensor (dfrobot SEN0189), flowmeter, and ultrasonic sensor (JSN-SR04) as input. The Arduino Mega R3 microcontroller is the processor and the Oled module (SSD1306) is the output. Thingboard is a cloud server that functions as sensor data monitoring. Temperature sensor testing results (DS18B20) average error 0.48%, Ph(dfrobot SEN0161) sensor testing average error 0.64%, ultrasonic sensor testing (JSN-SR04) average error 7.83%, testing Turbidity sensors can measure the level of water turbidity. Next, the water quality parameter data is processed using the Naïve Bayes algorithm method for classifying the water quality of gourami ponds. The results of this classification obtained an accuracy of 99.94% a Kappa Statistics value of 0.9989 and a Mean Absolute Error of 0.0003

Peningkatan Kemandirian Ekonomi Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan, Kriyan melalui Usaha Ternak Ikan Nila dan Ikan Gurami

Enhancing entrepreneurial spirit at Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding Schools) becomes a crucial point in the effort to improve the independence of the institution, considering the increasing needs and its potential to contribute to the economic well-being of the institution. In addition, the students (santri) also receive lessons in entrepreneurship, enabling them to learn about business and gain the confidence to become entrepreneurs, especially if supported by the readiness of the institution to facilitate its students. Besides the independence of the institution itself, entrepreneurship at Pondok Pesantren also benefits the surrounding community when the initiated business manages to empower the local community. Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan, located in Kriyan, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region, is one such institution that has the potential to develop an independent business. This is considering that the institution already has a 3kg Gas (Melon) business and has received prior training. Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan has significant potential in developing entrepreneurial spirit, both among its students and administrators. This results in a lack of diversification of economic revenue sources to support the institution's activities. To address this issue, the Community Service Team from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) implemented a community service program focusing on the cultivation of tilapia and gourami fish. The methods used include training, field practice, and ongoing assistance, monitored and evaluated periodically. The findings indicate a significant increase in knowledge and skills in fish cultivation among students and administrators, as well as the potential for a significant increase in income from this fish farming business. Thus, this program positively contributes to the utilization of land and human resources for additional income to support the activities of Pondok Pesantren Ahmad Dahlan.

Depth of Porosity of Glass Ionomer Cement with the Addition of Nano-Sized Gourami Scale Powder

Background: Glass ionomer cement (GIC) contains higher porosity than other restorative materials. Porosity can cause the GIC surface to become rough and reduce the material's mechanical properties. Gourami fish scales powder (GFSP) contains hydroxyapatite, which can potentially reduce the porosity of GIC. This research aimed to analyze the porosity depth of conventional GIC by adding 1.5%, 2.5%, and 3.5% GFSP nanoparticles (nGFSP). Materials and Methods: This type of research is an experimental laboratory with a post-test-only control group design. Twelve samples were disc-shaped diameter of 5 mm and a height of 2 mm which were divided into four groups: G0:GIC, G1: GIC+1,5% nGFSP, G2: GIC +2,5% nGFSP, and G3: GIC+3,5% nGFSP). Samples were cut into two parts and observed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results were analyzed by One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference (α = 0,05). Result: The average value of the porosity depth from the highest to the lowest is G0, G1, G2, G3. There was a significant difference between all sample groups (p = 0.000). Conclusion: The addition of nanoparticles GFSP reduced the porosity depth of conventional GIC; the addition of 3.5% nanoparticles GFSP showed the shallowest porosity depth.

Empowering Fish Cultivator Groups in Water-Minimum Areas by Cultivating Ospronemous gouramy Fish in Probiotic Media Tarpaulin Ponds in Asahduren Village, Jembrana Regency, Bali Province

This National Community Partnership Program (PKM) is a collaboration between Warmadewa University, Denpasar and Sam Ratulangi University, Manado with partner fish cultivator group (Pokdakan) "Mina Dewata" in Asahduren Village, Pekutatan District, Jembrana, Bali. This PKM aims to optimize the use of water and land resources while increasing Pokdakan productivity by cultivating gourami fish in tarpaulin ponds with probiotic media. The cultivation container is in the form of a tarpaulin pond with water media treated with probiotics, so that it saves water and the water quality remains healthy for the growth of gourami fish. The program is implemented using the applied study method, including: 1) Cultivating gourami fish in tarpaulin ponds with probiotic media; and 2) Increasing the capacity and competence of Pokdakan. In this initial stage, the group has succeeded in creating 4 cultivation ponds out of the 12 planned ponds.

Amylase activity in various digestive organs and blood urea levels of Osphronemus gouramy with Chlorella vulgaris feed supplementation and reared in different system

Osphronemus gouramy is a potential Indonesian fish that needs to be supported by good nutritional feed and water quality in a culture system. The research on the effect of combining Chlorella vulgaris (C. vulgaris) supplementation with culture systems of biofloc and non-biofloc in gourami fish on amylase activity and blood urea level has not been conducted. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of C. vulgaris supplementation with different culture systems on the amylase activity of various digestive organs and blood urea levels. It obtains the best C. vulgaris supplementation feed combination to increase the amylase activity of various digestive organs and reduce blood urea levels. This research was carried out experimentally with a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. Furthermore, gourami was fed with C. vulgaris levels of 0, 2, 3, 4, and 5 g kg-1 for 28 days and divided into biofloc and non-biofloc groups of culture systems. The amylase activity was measured at three pH buffers, and blood urea levels were analyzed using a urea kit. The results showed that amylase activity increased when supplemented with C. vulgaris 5 g kg-1 feed using the biofloc system, while blood urea levels decreased. C. vulgaris supplementation and biofloc system are alternative solutions to improving nutrition and water quality.

ANALISIS STRATEGI AGRIBISNIS KOMODITAS GURAMI (Osphronemus gouramy) DI KABUPATEN KEDIRI

This research aims to determine the performance, alternatives, and strategic priorities that can be implemented. The research was conducted in Tunglur Village, Badas District, Kediri Regency. The data analysis methods used are the IFE matrix, EFE matrix, SWOT matrix, and QSP matrix. The research results show that (1) the main driver for the development of the Gurami fishing industry in Kediri Regency is focused on expansion. Meanwhile, the most basic weakness is limited capital. The main opportunity is that many parties support the development of gourami fish commodities, while the biggest threat is the increase in prices of production factors. (2) Eight alternative strategies are proposed, namely two S-O strategies, two W-O strategies, two S-T strategies, and two W-T strategies. 3) The final strategic priority is to maintain the market and further strengthen relationships with stakeholders to invest in developing the gourami fish industry.

Technical Guidance for Raising Gourami Fish in the Round Pond System to Pokdakan Karya Maju, Karya Tani Village

The purpose of this service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of the Karya Maju Fish Farmers Group (Pokdakan) in Karya Tani Village, Barambai District, Barito Kuala Regency regarding the enlargement of gourami in the round pond system. The approach method used is the delivery of material through socialization, hands-on practice in installing circular pools, question and answer which is then carried out by evaluating the knowledge and skills of the target audience. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge and skills where previously the number of target audience who have no knowledge and skills about growing gouramy in the round pond system 80%, then decreased to 0%. In practices, the gouramy grew 92% for 30 days of rearing with a mortality rate only 8% and the calculation results were declared economically viable.

Effect of addition of rubber seeds flour (Hevea brasiliensis) in fish feed on growth and feeding efficiency of Gourami (Osphronemus goramy)

Gourami fish, Osphronemus goramy is an omnivorous organism that inhabits calm water sich as swamps, lakes. This study aims to determine the effect of using fermented rubber seeds to feed on the growth and survival of Gourami by feeding a mixture of fermented rubber seeds. The research was conducted at the Bungus Fish Seed Center, Padang City in January-February 2022 using the completely randomized design method with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The results showed that the best treatment was in treatment B with the addition of rubber seed flour that had been fermented as much as 30% so that the absolute weight gain value was (3.55 g), Specific Growth Rate (3.10%/day), Feed Conversion Ratio (0.19) and feed efficiency (51.03%). The lowest treatment was in treatment D where the addition of rubber seed flour fermentation was as much as 50% so that it had a bad effect on the growth rate of Gourami seed.

Status, distribution, and morphometric analysis of the genus Trichopodus in Sumatra, Indonesia

Trichopodus, the genus of dwarf gourami fish, is the oldest genus in the Osphronemidae family, with six valid species, three of which are found in Sumatra. In this study, the status, distribution, and morphometrics of Trichopodus leerii, T. pectoralis, and T. trichopterus from Sumatra were observed and analyzed. Although these species can be distinguished based on phenotypic characteristics, it is still possible to misidentify them in small or preserved samples. In this study, analyses were carried out on specimens in the collection of the Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense, combined with literature on the species status. The results showed that T. trichopterus and T. pectoralis were in the least concern category. T. trichopterus had the widest distribution, followed by T. pectoralis. T. leerii had the smallest distribution and is in a near-threatened conservation status. Further analysis revealed that 23 of the 25 measured morphological characteristics were informative, with the first three axes of a principal component analysis on morphometric data explaining 51.28% of the total variance in the sample. The three species were distinguished using a combination of pectoral fin length, eye diameter, pelvic fin length, and anterior snout width. Cluster analysis showed that there is consistency in the morphometrics of the species from various sample locations, where the same species are in the same clade. This research contributes to our understanding of the status and distribution of the species in genus Trichopodus and employs morphometric analysis to provide a practical key to classifying them in Sumatra.
