TOWARD GOOD PRACTICE OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT A COMMUNITY SERVICE AT SUSU MBOK DARMI BOGOR INDONESIA

Delivering a supply chain good practices might ensure goods and services reach consumers using the means and methods readily available in the workplace environment. To achieve a good supply chain management, it is a need to come across an excerpt of delivering the right product, in the right quantity, to the right people, at the right place and time, at the lowest possible cost. Good supply chain management is indeed required by any services industry such as commercial drinks services outlet. Susu Mbok Darmi provides commercial various milk drinks outlet, located at modern location, like mall and individual outlet location. A community service to enhance the knowledge toward good supply chain management was conducted to Susu Mbok Darmi team in particular its supply chain, purchasing and operation department. The activity was done in the form of workshop based on the preliminary observation and in-depth interview to identify the problem of current supply chain management. The result of this community service was an additional knowledge of best practice toward good supply chain management. Participants were successfully learned about the role of Procurement versus Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management and Materials Inventory Management

ANALISIS PENGELOLAN RISIKO RANTAI PASOK TEH PTPN VIII KEBUN RANCABALI UNIT SINUMBRA (Studi Kasus: PTPN VIII Kebun Rancabali Unit Sinumbra, Kecamatan Rancabali, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat)

Tea is one of the plantation commodities in Indonesia which has a production ranking in the top 10 in the world according to FAO data (2022). However, according to data from the Central Statistics Agency, tea exports in Indonesia have decreased in the last 10 years. PTPN VIII which produces tea has a broad global market, which has the 10 largest export destination countries. The decline in exports may show the need for good supply chain management with product standards and quality that can compete with other countries' products then, an effectively managed supply chain is needed. Difficulties that arise in agricultural supply chains such as perishability, seasonality, varying quality, and requiring a lot of space. This study focuses on supply chain risk at PTPN VIII Kebun Rancabali Sinumbra Unit as one of the units which position of the Sinumbra Unit in PTPN VIII Region III shows 9% and is in the eighth order of the nine existing plantations in Region III. The use of a fishbone diagram as a mapping for the risks obtained, then followed by the FMEA method to determine risk priorities and the AHP method as a tool for determining priorities in making decisions on mitigation actions. The results of this research are 18 risks in supply chain risk mapping using a fishbone diagram, then four supply chain variables are found, namely, plan, source, make, and delivery with a total of 10 risks that are the priority. Risks that are prioritized based on calculations using the FMEA method come from the plan variable, namely the work target for the production of raw materials is not implemented. All of these priority risks are then included in the AHP method for decision-making in alternative mitigation strategies, indicating the variable plan with the risk of processing work targets not being implemented is a priority in taking mitigation actions including periodic machine maintenance, increasing supervision of workers, and evaluation every six months for RKAPP.

Risk Analysis of Indonesian Mango Sustainable Supply Chain For Singapore Market

UD WN Mango Sultan, Gresik succeeded in exporting 1 ton of mangoes to Singapore in 2021. However, exports are still not sustainable because they are constrained by several risks faced in the mango supply chain. To support the development of mango sales, it is inseparable from good and sustainable supply chain management. Good supply chain management can reduce or anticipate the risks that are often faced by every supply chain actor. To reduce the impact of emerging risks, it is necessary to identify priority risks for further risk mitigation actions. This study aims to identify risks seen from the perception of each sustainable supply chain actor and evaluate the highest priority risk of each sustainable supply chain actor in mango commodities. The study uses primary data by conducting interviews and filling out questionnaires by informants from businessmen, farmers, and collector of mango commodity in Gresik District. Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FFMEA) technique is used to determine the priority of risk mitigation efforts. The results show that there are 16 risk components for UD WN Mango Sultan and collectors, and 11 risk components for farmers. Meanwhile, the priority risks for farmers, collectors, and UD WN Mango Sultan are operational risk (5,355), social risk (7,414), and environmental risk (7,917).

Challenges in the supply chain of cabbage in Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan municipality, Eastern Cape, South Africa

The main objective of the study was to advance good supply chain management practices for cabbage through improved shelf life, safety and produce quality, with a view to improving the sustainable supply of cabbage to the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality. Twenty-nine (29) cabbage farmers were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire. The data obtained was analysed descriptively using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software Version 22. Descriptive statistics identified the modes, means of variables, frequencies, and percentages. The results of the study showed that the majority respondents face cabbage losses due to poor management during transportation. Moreover, challenges experienced by the cabbage farmers included mould growth, poor transport services, poor temperature management, poor stock handling practices, and location of the farms in relation to the market. The findings further revealed that insect infestation in some cabbage consignments was also a contributing factor which led to a high rejection rate among the retailers. The researchers propose that extension advisers should train cabbage farmers to address the identified challenges and ensure a regular monitoring and evaluation process to ensure the success of farmers.

THE EFFECT OF ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING IMPLEMENTATION ON INCREASING COMPANY PERFORMANCE

The development of the world as a result of current globalization has led to an increase in worldwide competitiveness among businesses. Consequently, businesses always seek performance enhancements that might drive them to the forefront of commercial rivalry. Good supply chain management is one means of enhancing this performance. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is used by many companies. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a model of an information system that can assist companies in automating and integrating their fundamental business activities. This study aims to examine the impact of ERP on company performance. Using the process of literature review, data and information were acquired from several literature sources. The results reveal that ERP has an effect on a variety of company aspects, including planning, costs, forecasts, and integration. Furthermore, ERP can also influence management performance in terms of supervision, thereby enhancing the efficacy and efficiency of each business line. Additionally, ERP can increase revenue, contributing to enhanced financial performance.

Design of blockchain based smart agriculture framework to ensure safety and security

The country's entire population depends on agriculture, so it is absolutely essential to the economy. Its links and interactions with all of the country's relevant enterprises enable it to benefit from every part of the country. When gauging the social and economic well-being of a country, an agricultural base must be substantial. Agriculture is by far the main source of employment in most countries. It has many components, including supply chain management, crop insurance, and shipping of goods, which requires numerous unverified parties, such as farmers, retailers, customers, and wholesalers (assessor, surveyors). A case could be made that due to the presence of a middle man (i.e. human beings or human-operated agencies) crucial issues such as accessibility, expediency, security, and immutability have been raised. As a result, financial loss, crop contamination, and waste have occurred. Blockchain, the technology behind the digital currency bitcoin, is a decentralized shareholding ledger that collects data from multiple parties involved in the Bitcoin network transactions. For this reason, the Bitcoin network relies on the Blockchain to keep track of transaction history and other transaction-related information, such as the transaction's completion, the addresses of the sender(s) and the recipient(s), and information about whether the transaction was successful. Donors can be confident that the money will be given to only one organization. To keep information private, every piece of data is encrypted on the Blockchain. This article describes a blockchain-based agriculture infrastructure in which data regarding farmers and farming is safely and securely recorded.

Optimization of Sports Goods Industry Development Mode Based on Internet of Things Technology

Objectives: In order to effectively improve the information level of sports goods traceability, to achieve its safety and quality of the whole supervision and information sharing. In view of the current sports supplies supply chain management, there are many problems in operation efficiency, information level, management level. Methods: The application of Internet of Things (IOT) technology to supply chain management of sports goods is proposed, and the system model is constructed and designed. This paper analyzes the connotation of sporting goods traceability and the necessity and feasibility of implementing sporting goods traceability, and proposes the design of sporting goods traceability system based on Internet of Things technology. Results: Firstly, the tracing model of sporting goods based on RFID and EPC Internet of Things was constructed. Then the system was designed from the aspects of system requirements analysis, overall design and detailed design. Conclusion:This completes the real-time tracking and traceability of sporting goods, and promotes the informationization and visual management of the sporting goods supply chain.

Sistem Inventory Menggunakan Metode Supply Chain Management dalam Mengatur Jumlah Ketersediaan Obat pada Apotik

The development of information technology provides great benefits and convenience, both in terms of data processing and presentation of information on inventory of existing goods in organizations, agencies or companies. One of the business processes that can be developed through information technology is the company's supply chain management process. An inventory information system using a good Supply Chain Management (SCM) method will increase the productivity and performance of the company. In conducting the research conducted at the pharmacy, the aim was to improve the old system. By conducting direct observations in the field, several weaknesses were found from the system that was running at the Arafah Padang Pharmacy. The results of the analysis are applied in an application that is able to process inventory system data using the Supply Chain Management (SCM) method. With the design of an inventory system with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) method, it can be more helpful in processing drug inventory data and the existing inventory system can increase the effectiveness and work efficiency of Pharmacy employees.

Blockchain, emerged as one of the most interesting technology fields in the rapidly digitizing world, is a decentralized database in which the transactions are recorded via cryptographic techniques in an irreversible way. Because of their unalterable, decentralized, secure and transparent structures, blockchains have been widely studied for many use cases, especially for international trade. Finance, banking, supply chain management, customs procedures, insurance and digitization of goods are some of the numerous international trade related areas where blockchain applications and projects are developed. Besides that, research has been conducted on use of blockchains in areas such as accounting, tax collection, notary processes, digital certificates, intellectual property rights and smart contracts. This paper aims to take a detailed look at applications in international trade which employ blockchain technologies.

PENGUKURAN PERFORMASI RANTAI PASOK CANNED SARDINES PT SUMBER YALASAMUDRA: PENDEKATAN SCOR (SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATION REFERENCE)

The high potential of fisheries in Banyuwangi has caused many canned sardine processing industries to be established, one of which is PT. Sumber Yalasamudra in Muncar District. In recent years the population of lemuru fish has decreased so that PT. Sumber Yalasamudra must be able to carry out good supply chain management so that the production process continues to run smoothly. This study aimed to analyze the supply chain flow and supply chain performance of PT. Sumber Yalasamudra. The research method used descriptive analysis to explain supply chain flow and SCOR analysis to measure supply chain performance of PT. Sumber Yalasamudra. The results of the analysis showed that the supply chain flow of PT. Sumber Yalasamudra are divided into 3 streams, namely (a) product flows from fishermen to final consumers (buyers), (b) financial flows flowing from downstream to upstream in cash with a period of time and (c) information flows flowing from upstream to downstream and vice versa, and supply chain performance of PT Sumber Yalasamudra based on 5 attributes of SCM (Supply Chain Management) it can be concluded that PT Sumber Yalasamudra has a good performance because it is in a superior position.

A New Fuzzy DEA Model for Solving the MCDM Problems in Supplier Selection

Supplier selection is a crucial task in supply chain management, and good supply chain management is essential to a company's ability to develop sustainably and gain the trust and satisfaction of its customers. In modern supply chain management, supplier selection often takes the form of a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem. Thus, to solve this problem, this study formulated a novel fuzzy MCDM model, which is based on the fuzzy data envelopment analysis model. This novel approach can transform the linguistic variables of assessment criteria into well-founded quantitative data for calculation. Moreover, our approach can effectively discriminate between decision-making units (both efficient and inefficient) to aid managers in identifying the most suitable suppliers. We hope that our model can provide scholars and managers with new insights into solving the MCDM problem in supplier selection.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON MANUFACTURING MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (MSME) IN LUSAKA: A CASE OF MANDEVU AND KALINGALINGA MARKETS

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out the state of supply chain management within MSME’s in Zambia by investigating the Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices, its benefits and challenges using some selected manufacturing micro, small-medium enterprises in Mandevu and Kalingalinga markets of Lusaka.
 Methodology: The study used descriptive research design and chose questionnaire as the tool for data collection. Purposive sampling technique was employed to obtain information from both the management and staff of the MSMEs. One hundred (100) questionnaires were distributed to the respondents. The obtained data were then analysed using the descriptive method.
 Results: The study found out that the manufacturing MSME sector appreciates good supply chain management practices, but does not practise it. The study discovered that the sector has not established long term relationships with its customers and suppliers. The sector was found to face several challenges which threaten its long term growth and survival, the most worrying challenges being the lack of financial resources, failure to practice continuous quality improvement, low integration of process technologies and forecasting challenges. The study also revealed that when implemented SCM practices deliver a number of benefits to the MSMEs. For example, increased response to the customer, cost-cutting on service delivery, improved information sharing and improved capacity to offer after-sale services. It is evident that MSMEs would perform well if supply chain management activities are improved. This, however, can be accomplished, if the MSMEs engage in strategic partnerships, customer relationship, high level of information sharing, information quality, as well as continuous quality improvement.
 Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study could be replicated in other industry sectors of the economy and also in other developing countries to help build on the body of knowledge.

Supply Chain Management on Inventory Indonesian Drug Industry

The development of the human population in the world, especially Indonesia, to date is approximately 260 million people, making Indonesia in a big challenge where Indonesia must be able to meet the domestic drug supplies needed by the community. The availability of drugs is still an obstacle in the National Health Insurance in Indonesia, this requires the role of the pharmaceutical industry in supporting drug availability by implementing good supply chain management. The focus of this discussion is to look at drug supplies in Indonesia in meeting people's needs and identify factors for production planning, production capacity and raw material procurement for the pharmaceutical industry in supporting the availability of drugs to support the National Health Insurance. This research is a descriptive study by collecting information from various literatures on pharmacy and medicines in Indonesia with a focus on the discussion of production planning, production capacity and raw material procurement and delivery to pharmaceutical companies in supporting drug availability. Because the planning for drug needs used as a basis for drug procurement is inaccurate so that pharmaceutical companies cannot make accurate production plans and the quantity of drugs for the community is inaccurate, time and unavailable at any time, the need for and procurement of materials still depends on imported raw materials from abroad around 95% with a lead time of 1-3 months so that it has the potential to deplete drug supplies and make the National Health Insurance in Indonesia worse.

The influence of supply chain management on competitive advantage and company performance

At present, the condition of competition in a network is very tight due to rapid technological changes, economic and political stability in Indonesia which is experiencing uncertainty, and the large number of foreign investors entering, as well as new competitors. Companies themselves are required to always innovate in today's increasingly modern era. This competition must be able to create a good network in order to create competitive advantage and company performance in the formation of good Supply Chain Management. This study aims to determine the effect of supply chain management on competitive advantage and company performance. This study will examine supply chain management on competitive advantage and company performance in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Bandung City, West Java. In this study, there are several differences from previous research, namely the indicators that will be used in this study. Namely, the measured supply chain management variables are indicators of technology use, supply chain speed, customer satisfaction, supply chain integration and inventory management. The variables of competitive advantage that are measured are the indicators of Price, Quality, and Time to market, and sales growth. Meanwhile, the measured company performance variables are indicators of financial performance and operational performance. The analytical method used in testing the hypothesis is to use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS software version 20. Respondents in this study were 150 respondents in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Bandung, West Java. The results of this study indicate that supply chain management has a positive and significant effect on the company's competitive advantage. Competitive advantage has a positive and significant effect on company performance. Supply chain management has a positive and significant effect on company performance. Supply chain management has a positive and significant effect on company performance through competitive advantage.

ANALISIS RANTAI PASOK BUNGA SEDAP MALAM (Polianthes tuberosa) DI KECAMATAN AMBARAWA

The purpose of this research is to find out the description of performance of the supply chain and analyze the marketing channels for Polianthes tuberosa based on margin calculation and marketing efficiency. The research method used was a survey. Respondents consisted of farmers and actors at the flower marketing agency as well as night. Polianthes tuberosa farmers in Baran Village who were respondents as many as 26 and the number of samples of marketing institutions as many as 30 people consisting of market traders, florists and consumers. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative based on the supply chain development method in the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). The results of the study show that supply chain performance can be said to be quite good, marked by the fulfillment of demand for Polianthes tuberosa interest to consumers. Clear and directed supply chain goals, good supply chain structure, good supply chain management, sufficient and adequate resources and overall good supply chain performance. There are 3 marketing channels that are already efficient with the value of farmer share in marketing channel I that is 50.19%, marketing channel II which is 50.19% and marketing channel III which is 77.21%.

A multi-improvement local search using dataflow and GPU to solve the minimum latency problem

Optimization problems have great importance in the industrial field, specially for supply chain management and transportation of goods. Many of these problems are classified as NP-Hard, thus there is no known algorithm to find their exact (global optimal) solutions in polynomial time. Therefore, fast heuristic strategies are generally employed, specially those with the ability to escape from poor quality local optima, called metaheuristics. In general, the Local Search is the most computationally expensive phase of a metaheuristic, thus requiring a good use of all available computing resources. In this work, we explore state-of-the-art GPU processing local search modules (called neighborhood structures) from literature, together with a proposed Dataflow model with Multiple Output Gates. Although these neighborhood structures are classic for routing problems in literature, these are typically explored in a sequential manner, named Variable Neighborhood Descent. In this work, we demonstrate how to use these neighborhoods on multiple collaborative computing devices, building novel efficient Local Searches for a challenging optimization problem: the Minimum Latency Problem. Finally, we present experiments with the proposed distributed strategies on the Minimum Latency Problem, indicating the gains over previously proposed sequential/parallel approaches in literature, and also the current limitations to deal with larger problem instances.

Manufacturing 4.0: Discussion on Application in the Extractive Industry of Essential Oils

Yield uncertainties characterize the industrial extraction of essential oils. The variable plant contents, undetected and uncorrected operational issues such as production in small batches, with a significant variation in the process cycles, productivity, and quality, compromise process performance, and the value of the finished product. The technological advances of industry 4.0 provide an opportunity to achieve economic, environmental, and productivity gains, even with the wide variety of products manufactured. This study aimed at improving the performance of such processes using the pillars of industry 4.0 as a method, highlighting the techniques of data acquisition and processing for intelligent analysis, based on automated and systemic learning, generating improvements for the overall performance of the operation as well as enhancing good manufacturing practices (process safety, quality, repeatability and traceability) and supply chain management. Our findings showed the adherence of 4.0 vision to this industry.

The Dynamic Sustainability in Supply Chain Context of Malaysia’s Industry

This paper is discussing on the emergence of awareness in Malaysia’s supply chain in green practices and implementation towards sustainability. All elements in good supply chain management are being tabled from the various authors & publications within the latest three years period. All business entity inclusive of industries, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation covering the land, sea and air. World population is nearing 7.5 billion directly triggered a massive food production, electrical & electronics appliances, furnitures, housing estates, textiles industries, transportations for movement, upgrading of roads, seaports, bigger airports causing huge consumptions of fossil fuel. Consequently causing damage to the environment. World leaders are united in decision of tacking the global warming at United Nation assembly but the action on the ground is very minimal resulting in the iceberg melting continuously, flooding in low land area in coastal city such as Jakarta, Shanghai and Lagos. Endless effort are being taken to reduce the dependency on fossil fuel by the world leading economy nations such as China in developing electric car engines, Germany in longer lifespan battery operated vehicles as well as solar energy and water based engine (Hybrid). In the market with the pressure from the society and environmentalist manufacturing are aggressively implementing reverse logistics on their products, transportations companies are maximizing their truckloads, factories are reducing the electricity and create awareness and ownership which is resulting the low carbon footprint.

Sistem Pengukuran Kinerja Supply Chain Management Pada Proyek Konstruksi

Construction project implementation process is often found inefficiency and problems at every stage of the construction process. Inefficiencies are caused because construction projects have high levels of fragmentation. The high level of fragmentation cannot be separated from the complexity and many work items on construction projects. To reduce the problem of inefficiencies in the implementation of construction projects required good supply chain management or better known as supply chain management (SCM) on construction projects. Therefore it is necessary to study the management of SCM in the construction project to reduce the inefficiency that occurred. SCM management of construction projects is done by designing SCM performance measurement systems in construction projects. This performance measurement system produces indicators that are combined with the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method. So it helps in performing SCM performance measurement on construction projects. From the design results, obtained 14 SCM performance indicators on construction projects. The performance indicators are then used to perform SCM performance measurement of cement plant construction projects. From the measurement results obtained SCM performance value of 41 from a scale of 100. This shows the performance of SCM on construction projects for the construction of the cement plant is at a marginal level.

Social Protection Under Good Economic Performance but Social Strain: Lessons From the Latin American Experience (2000–2017)

During 2000-2017, Latin America (LA) achieved an annual growth rates of GDP of 2.6%. This generated an increase in the average monthly salary and a reduction in the Gini index. However, said improvements were unequal among the region, causing social strain and discontent in the groups that were not benefited by the economic growth. In response, governments built social protection networks that were meant to promote greater equity and increase the impact of growth on poverty. This paper aims to get lessons from LA experiences of actions taken by the governments, during the years 2000 and 2017, in order to boost opportunities. To achieve this, an analysis of the social protection networks is made around six key elements of management: identification of beneficiaries, supply chain management of public goods, system of information, education and training, monitoring and evaluation systems, process of graduation and, institutional coordination.
