This investigation used bamboo to develop a transparent material with magnetic and fluorescent characteristics. The transparent bamboo material was provided with new functions by adding rare earth long afterglow materials and magnetic nano-Fe3O4. According to the experimental results and comprehensive performance analysis, it was found that the transparent bamboo material created by the delignification treatment of the middle part of bamboo for 5 h and adding 2 wt% of phosphorus and 0.2 wt% of nano-Fe3O4 demonstrated superior comprehensive performance. While maintaining the transparency and haze inherent in transparent bamboo, it also exhibits good fluorescence and magnetic properties, as well as excellent mechanical properties. The magnetic fluorescent transparent bamboo (MFTB) generated by this technique exhibited significant potential for the use and expansion in areas like information storages, magneto-optical switches, biological analysis applications, opto-isolators, and modulators.
