A Swarm Intelligence Based Data Aggregation Protocol for Improvement of Network Performance in Wireless Sensor Networks Clustering

Wireless sensor networks consist of small sensor nodes of non-rechargeable battery and deployed in distant, unfriendly areas where it is infeasible to replace the battery of those nodes. Due to its limited capability of the energy, the energy efficient routing protocols are required to maximize the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. In recent years Clustering based routing protocols are proved to be best for Heterogeneous Wireless sensor networks. In this paper an efficient protocol is proposed using Glow worm swarm optimization (GSO) for heterogeneous networks. In the proposed protocol the Cluster Head is elected by a weighted probability based on the ratio between residual energy of each node, average energy of the network and distance of the node from sink node or base station. A sensor node uses single hop communication technique to inter cluster communication and Cluster heads uses Multi hop communication with the sink nodes or base station. Then data aggregation happens using the genetic algorithm to find the optimal path for efficient data transmission by reducing the communication overhead. Finally, based on the fitness of the Symbiotic Organism Search (SOS) Optimization optimal path is selected for data transmission. This protocol can improve the performance of the network energy consumption, signal strength and prolong the lifetime of Heterogeneous Wireless sensor networks as compared to other clustering protocols is shown in the simulation results.

IMPROVING FAULT TOLERANT RESOURCE OPTIMIZED AWARE JOB SCHEDULING FOR GRID COMPUTING

Workflow brokers of existing Grid Scheduling Systems are lack of cooperation mechanism which causes inefficient schedules of application distributed resources and it also worsens the utilization of various resources including network bandwidth and computational cycles. Furthermore considering the literature, all of these existing brokering systems primarily evolved around models of centralized hierarchical or client/server. In such models, vital responsibility such as resource discovery is delegated to the centralized server machines, thus they are associated with well-known disadvantages regarding single point of failure, scalability and network congestion at links that are leading to the server. In order to overcome these issues, we implement a new approach for decentralized cooperative workflow scheduling in a dynamically distributed resource sharing environment of Grids. The various actors in the system namely the users who belong to multiple control domains, workflow brokers and resources work together enabling a single cooperative resource sharing environment. But this approach ignored the fact that each grid site may have its own fault-tolerance strategy because each site is itself an autonomous domain. For instance, if a grid site handles the job check-pointing mechanism, each computation node must have the ability of periodical transmission of transient state of the job execution by computational node to the server. When there is a failure of job, it will migrate to another computational node and resume from the last stored checkpoint. A Glow worm Swarm Optimization (GSO) for job scheduling is used to address the issue of heterogeneity in fault-tolerance of computational grid but Weighted GSO that overcomes the position update imperfections of general GSO in a more efficient manner shown during comparison analysis. This system supports four kinds of fault-tolerance mechanisms, including the job migration, job retry, check-pointing and the job replication mechanisms also considering risk nature of Grid computing environment. The risk relationship between jobs and nodes are defined by the security demand and the trust level. Our evaluation based simulation results show that our algorithm has shorter makespan and more efficient. We also analyze the efficiency of the proposed approach against a centralized coordinated workflow scheduling technique and show that our approach is more efficient than the centralized technique with respect to achieving highly coordinated schedules.

In his lecture course The Fundamental Concepts of Metaphysics (1929-1930) Martin Heidegger repeatedly alludes to experiments with insects as examples for the relation of animals to the world. One report deals with a photograph made through the compound eye of a glow worm. By questioning what the glow worm might see, Heidegger separated animal vision from human vision as ontologically incomparable. In my paper I first show the source of Heidegger's report and then discuss how deeper knowledge of the original investigation might shed new light on Heidegger's presentation and his conclusions.

Increasing efficiency in Grid by using glow worm Algorithm

Nowadays, human beings encounter with hug data. Due to development of computer and detector technologies, few terabyte data has been produced. The analysis of these information require the sources whose financial costs cannot be afforded by any institution. In order to meet this demand, Grid computing has been considered as one of the most important fields of research. One of the important issues in grid environment is reliability in Grid service which must be studied. The study of Grid service helps systems’ designers to create better systems with more reliability. Also, it helps the users to use Grid environment logically. The main purpose of Grid system is preparing services with high reliability and the least cost for many users as well as supporting collaborative jobs. On one hand, resources have important role in increasing and decreasing Grid application. If resources are limited, defilewii be the result; therefore, will decrease Gird efficiency will decrease. In this paper, swarm intelligence Algorithm has been applied for Grid load balance. Since Gird environment is dynamic, we use glowworm algorithm in sites in order to balance the load. The algorithm simulation results presented by MATLAB software showed that this algorithm can increase efficiency as well as Grid environment reliability.

Ergastoplasmic paracrystalline inclusion bodies in the adipose gonadal envelope and fat body of the glow worm, Lampyris noctiluca (Insecta, Coleoptera)

The gonads of glow worm larvae are enveloped by adipose tissue which represents a specialized fat body. The adipose gonadal envelope, and also to a lesser extent the fat body cells, contain tubular paracrystalline inclusion bodies (PIBs). Cells of other tissues are devoid of such inclusions. The PIBs form in the cisternae of rough ER. In young larvae PIB formation is sparse, but at advanced larval stages PIBs often occur as bundles in stacks of ergastoplasm. Typically, a PIB within a cisterna consists of four to seven parallel tubules. The outer diameter of a tubule is ca 28.8 nm and the width of the tubule lumen ca 12.2 nm. The “wall” of a tubule contains globular protein subunits of ca 8.3 nm diameter; the subunits are arranged helically. Since the adipose gonadal envelope progresses through a cytological differentiation process during differentiation and maturation of the gonads, the increased number of PIBs may indicate enhanced metabolic activity of the tissue related to nutrition of the growing gonads.

Winston Churchill When we plunge into the organizational literature on leadership we quickly become lost in a labyrinth: there are endless definitions, countless articles and never-ending polemics. As far as leadership studies go, it seems that more and more has been studied about less and less, to end up ironically with a group of researchers studying everything about nothing. It prompted one wit to say recently that reading the current world literature on leadership is rather like going through the Parisian telephone directory while trying to read it in Chinese! The proliferation of literature on effective leadership is amply reflected by the increase in the number of articles in its bible, Stogdill's Handbook of Leadership.1 While the old handbook, published in 1974, listed only three thousand studies, that number increased to five thousand within seven years, a pace of publication that has accelerated ever since. It is unfortunate, however, that the popularity of leadership research has not been equaled by its relevance. One of the problems has been that too many theories about organizations seem to have had their gestation in the ivory towers of academic. The titles of the theories, new and old, reveal the nature of their contents, plodding and detached, often far removed from the reality of day-to-day life. These kinds of papers continue to appear; fortunately, however, some changes can be noted. An increasing number of scholars have become interested in going beyond the confinement of social science laboratory experiments to observe real leaders in action.

ABSTRACT Recent studies have all shown that membranes fracture internally during freeze-etching or freeze-cleaving, confirming that 2 internal membrane faces are produced. That these faces are not complementary is one of the main features of freeze-etch replicas still requiring explanation. In the present investigation certain plasma membranes in light organs of the New Zealand glow worm are found to be an exception to this general rule of non-complementarity, as there is a sufficient number of holes present in one membrane face to match the number of particles on the other. This finding suggests that most of the theories put forward to explain non-complementarity do not apply and that holes are probably lost in most membrane faces by distortion during fracturing.
