Objective: To study uncomplicated inguinal hernia within the general surgical unit of CS Réf CVI. Methodology: A retrospective and prospective study from February 2007 to June 2012 has been carried out so as to study uncomplicated inguinal hernias with 310 patients at CS Réf CVI. Inclusion standards were all patients received and operated complicated nay according to inguinal hernia within the general surgical unit of CS Réf CVI. Result: Uncomplicated inguinal hernia has represented 4,12% of surgical consult and uncomplicated hernia cure has represented 31,76% of surgical interventions. The male sex has been the most represented with a ratio of 12,72. The average age of our patients has been about 43,60 years old, farmers have been majoritarian with 80 cases (26,13%). Recurrence hernia has represented 37 cases (11,93%). The hernia has sieged on the right in 190 cases (61, 29%); it has sieged on the left in 91 cases (29, 35%) and it has been bilateral in 29 cases (9,35%). The local anesthesia has been used with 223 patients (71, 94%), general anesthesia with 69 patients (22,26%), and locoregional anesthesia with 18 patients (5,8%). External oblique hernia has represented 230 cases (74,19%). Shouldice’s technique has been used with 159 patients (51, 29%); Bassini’s one with 86 patients (27,74%) and the treatment of the bag with 65 patients (20,96%). The surgery rooms have been simple with 304 patients with an early post-surgery morbidity rate of 1,93 (6 cases) and 1 cases of post-surgery death. One case of recurrence (0,30 %). Conclusion: The uncomplicated inguinal is frequency at the CSRéfCVI. The Classical technique of hernia cure has permitted us to have encouraging results.
