ABSTRACT Semi-coke is a problematic material to burn, and how to use it is a typical problem enterprises face. This paper proposes a method to improve the performance of blended Semi-coke coal water slurry based on multi-peak distribution technology. By blending Semi-coke, the coal water slurry concentration can be increased by a maximum of 3.83%. In addition, the blending of Semi-coke reduced the flow property index (n) of coal water slurry from 0.66 to 0.51, the yield stress from 29.25 Pa to 12.45 Pa, and enhanced the pseudoplasticity of coal water slurry. Meanwhile, this paper establishes the relationship between the bimodal parameters and coal water slurry concentration and finds that the peak 2 positions, peak 2 height, peak 2 areas, and peak spacing negatively correlate with the slurry formation concentration. Finally, this paper found that the doping of Semi-coke can improve the gasification performance of coal water slurry. The ignition temperature was reduced from 884.9°C to 854.3°C and the burnout temperature from 1067.4°C to 1026.6°C after Semi-coke blending.
