The reorientation of the educational process into the formation of a creative person causes changes in the modern pedagogical activity, which is largely determined by the readiness of the teacher to develop the creative thinking of students, whose formation is carried out in the educational environment of a higher educational institution. The main goal of the article is describing the technology of forming the readiness of future teachers of informatics for the development of creative thinking of senior pupils in extracurricular activities. The methods of research used: theoretical (analysis of scientific sources, revealing of reliable facts about the interconnections between phenomena and processes and the regular tendencies of their development, comparison, modeling, system-structural and system-functional methods), which allowed to generalize and systematize the theoretical material on the problem under investigation; general science (abstraction, analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, modeling, analogy). Successful implementation of the formation of the readiness of the future teacher of informatics for the development of creative thinking of senior pupils in extracurricular activities is impossible without updating the contents of educational disciplines and pedagogically appropriate selection of forms, methods, means of extra-curricular activities. The process of formation of the readiness of the future teacher of informatics for the development of creative thinking of senior pupils in extracurricular activities is the following stages: students' awareness of the essence of the concepts of "creative thinking", "extra-curricular activities" and the process of developing the creative thinking of senior pupils in extracurricular activities in computer science; mastering of knowledge, skills and skills that will contribute to the formation of appropriate readiness; actualization in the educational process and deepening of theoretical knowledge on the basics of pedagogical communication (including solving conflicts situations, modeling pedagogical situations, etc.), programming and information technologies, research activities; study of forms of extra-curricular activities associated with the manifestations of creative thinking; initial mastery of the future teacher's ability to solve non-standard (olympiad) tasks in information technology and writing research papers; independent and creative implementation of practical tasks, the desire to improve the proposed solutions, etc. The implementation of the developed technology in the activity of a higher educational institution, the development of the appropriate methodological provision for the future teacher of informatics to develop the creative thinking of senior pupils in extracurricular activities will increase the readiness of future teachers to implement the activities described above.
