Due to the drastic changes that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to education worldwide and the anticipation of a prolonged duration of the pandemic, the purpose of the study was to look into students’ perceptions of online learning so that educators could promote their future learning experiences by developing the points that students believed were the advantages of online learning, and resolve any points that were considered its disadvantages. Seventy-two undergraduate students attending a university in Korea responded to an online survey that asked questions about their level of L2 skills and their attitudes toward online courses. Results showed that the students had positive perceptions of taking classes online by watching pre-recorded videos. The advantages and disadvantages of online learning were also reported in terms of various aspects, which should be taken into consideration when designing future online courses.
