Preparation of Metal‐Containing Zwitterionic Fe3O4@SiO2−βPDMA Composite Systems and Catalytic Activity Studies

AbstractIn response to the current challenges in the field, this study will contribute to the development of a highly versatile magnetic core/shell nanocomposite by addressing issues in the synthesis and functionalization of Fe3O4 nanoparticles through the presentation of innovative solutions. Firstly, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were synthesized. Tetraethyl orthosilicate was used as a silicon source and Fe3O4@SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized. The outer surface of Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles were modified and converted into Fe3O4@SiO2−NH2 structure. These modified particles were then functionalized with alkyl bromide to be used as an ATRP initiator and Fe3O4@SiO2−Br structure was obtained. The polymerization of 2‐(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DMA) monomer on the particle surface was achieved by the SI‐ATRP method. In the last step, betainization of Fe3O4@SiO2−PDMA composite was worked, and the salts of gold and silver were added to composite systems. The dispersions of the metal loaded Fe3O4@SiO2−βPDMA composite was obtained and used as catalysts in the reduction reaction of p‐nitrophenol to p‐aminophenol. Consequently, Fe3O4@SiO2−βPDMA composite system with magnetic properties in the range of 145–160 nm was prepared. The structure of synthesized magnetic nanoparticle was characterized by PXRD, TEM, TG‐DTA and the catalyst activity in the reduction reaction of p‐nitrophenol to p‐aminophenol was examined by UV‐vis spectrophotometer.

Alginate–functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a drug delivery system for targeted controlled release

The applications of alginate-functionalized magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4@Alg NPs) for drug delivery have been limited reported. In this study, Fe3O4@Alg NPs was successfully formulated using the co-precipitation method for the adsorption and delivery of curcumin in both oral and injectable routes. The Fe3O4@Alg NPs were synthesized under optimized conditions with a high saturation magnetization value and negligible remnant magnetization. Curcumin was efficiently integrated into the system through adsorption, achieving a drug encapsulation efficiency of 71% over 12 h, an average NPs size of 100–200 nm, a 1.2-time increase in the curcumin solubility, with insignificant hemolytic effects at concentrations of up to 20 mg mL−1. The adsorption isotherms and kinetic studies showed that the drug adsorption process was rapid, with low slope coefficient, high adsorption capacity of 5.981 mg g−1, and monolayer of curcumin physically adsorbed onto the NPs surfaces. Moreover, the Fe3O4@Alg NPs could protect curcumin from the acidic gastric environment and sustainably release it under simulated physiological (pH 7.4) and intestinal conditions (pH 6.8), with the release percentages of 93.48% and ∼100%, respectively. In summary, this study demonstrated the significant potential of Fe3O4@Alg NPs in enhancing the bioavailability of curcumin. These nanoparticles can be further explored as a promising distribution system for both oral and injectable administration.

Electrochemical properties of magnetite nanoparticles supported on carbon paste electrode in various electrolyte solutions: A study by cyclic voltammetry

Electrochemical properties of magnetite nanoparticles supported on carbon paste electrodes were investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry. The measurements were performed for bare and coated with citrate magnetite nanoparticles in aqueous solutions of various electrolytes: NaCl, NaClO4, and Na2HPO4. Cyclic voltammetry curves obtained on bare and citrate functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles are rather similar indicating that the electrochemical properties of the magnetite nanoparticles are not significantly affected by the citrate coating. Cyclic voltammetry scans reveal the formation of metallic iron below −1.2 V. The defective structure of the oxide phases formed by oxidation of metallic iron seems to play an important role in the chemisorption of chloride ions and their subsequent oxidation.Graphical

Oil content removal from oil water emulsion by super magnetic nanoparticles

Oily wastewater treatment processes are facing challenges due to strict regulations in the quality of effluent standards and waste production. The reuse of oily wastewater treatment effluents is rapidly gaining attention for achieving sustainable water supply. Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are widely applied as super adsorbents in industry. In the present study, the MNP was sprayed and mixed with oil-water emulsion, after the application of a magnetic field, a clear effluent was seen within minutes. The effects of the varying process parameters including, adsorbent dose, particle size, mixing time, American Petroleum Institute gravity (API gravity), pH, temperature, and oil concentration, on the percentage of oil removal and the removal capacity (mg/g) were studied. In this paper, six types of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (A:50 nm, B:15–20 nm, C:3 nm) and functionalized NH2/-COOH (A1:20–30 nm, B1:15–20 nm and C1:3 nm) were used as oil adsorbent. The highest percentage of oil removal was reached at 20 min, using 150 mg/L oil concentration, 100 mg adsorbent dose, room temperature, 28 API, and at 4 pH, and the results were 60 % (A), 72 % (B), 81 % (C), 85 % (A1), 88 % (B1) and 94 % (C1). Functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles exhibited higher reusability than uncoated MNPs (A-C). The results showed that Fe3O4 were highly effective, reusable, and suitable for oil removal from the oil-water emulsion. Kinetic models fit effectively with pseudo-second-order mode, and Freundlich model. This work also matches the research conducted by various researchers for oil removal from oily water using magnetic nanoparticles.

Collagen Biocomposites Derived from Fish Waste: Doped and Cross-Linked with Functionalized Fe3O4 Nanoparticles and Their Comparative Studies with a Green Approach.

Collagen-based nanobiocomposites can reabsorb and are biodegradable. These properties are effectively controlled by the number of cross-links. This study demonstrates an effortless and proficient approach for the functionalization of Fe3O4 NPs for cross-linking collagen obtained from biowaste, viz., fish scales of Lates Calcarifer, a marine origin. The size of Fe3O4 NPs (10-40 nm) was confirmed using particle size analysis. The physico-chemical properties of the aminosilane-coated Fe3O4 NPs cross-linked via succinylated collagen (FFCSC) were characterized using different analytical techniques and compared with succinylated collagen doped with Fe3O4 NPs (FDSC). Thermogravimetric analysis indicates cross-linked product FFCSC to be more stable than the FDSC. Also, the antibacterial effect was more pronounced for FFCSC than for FDSC nanobiocomposites. FFCSC exhibited improved mechanical properties which are essential for materials used for wound dressing purposes. Moreover, the cell viability of fibroblasts (3T3-L1) and their morphology studied by SEM and fluorescence microscopy showed biocompatibility of both FDSC and FFCSC. Thus, the current investigation, involves a waste to wealth approach where the collagen-based nanobiocomposites present an easy way to recycle the biowaste to value-added products using simple and clean methods, which are suitable for use in biomedical and environmental applications.

Preparation and characterization of a magnetic catalyst for coupling reactions

Pd supported on 2-aminoquinoline-7-carboxylic acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4-AQCA-Pd) as a new magnetic nanocatalyst was prepared and characterized by ICP-AES, FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, TGA, XRD and EDX techniques. This nanocatalyst is employed for coupling reactions of pyridyl esters with phenylboronic acid to obtain ketone derivatives in good to excellent yields. This green catalyst was easily removed, reused several times with no significant loss of activity and provided a clean synthesis with excellent yield in reduced times.

Synthesis, characterization, and performance comparison of boron using adsorbents based on N-methyl-D-glucosamine

Using N-methyl-D-glucosamine (NMDG) as the functional monomer, glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as the connecting monomer, functionalized Fe3O4 nano-particles (NPs) as the support, three adsorbents were prepared including direct polymer GMA-NMDG, magnetic GMA-NMDG polymer (MGN), and boron magnetic ion-imprinted polymer (BMIIP). Based upon the optimization of synthesis conditions, the prepared adsorbents and intermediate products were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscope, energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer, and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller to investigate the synthesis process, the morphological structure and the functional properties of the materials. The optimum performances of GMA-NMDG, MGN and BMIIP were obtained in the initial neutral solution (pH of 6.5). Moreover, GMA-NMDG and MGN reached the maximum adsorption capacity at 120 min, whereas BMIIP reached adsorption saturation at 60 min. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model was more suitable for the adsorption of boron using the adsorbents. The maximum adsorption capacity of GMA-NMDG was found to be 43.4 mg·g−1, while those of MGN and BMIIP were 32.5 and 28.3 mg·g−1, respectively. The Langmuir isotherm model was more appropriate to describe the adsorption process. The adsorbents maintained satisfactory adsorption performance within a certain temperature range. Competing ions had little effect on the adsorption of boron, and would be adsorbed simultaneously, due to which, the effect of co-adsorption can be considered. The adsorption capacity of GMA-NMDG was high, while the adsorption selectivity of BMIIP was much better. Furthermore, BMIIP showed good adsorption after five cycles of adsorption and desorption. The comparison of adsorbents showed that GMA-NMDG had the highest adsorption capacity and was suitable for co-adsorption. MGN had a high adsorption capacity, good comprehensive performance and magnetic properties. BMIIP had better adsorption rate, adsorption selectivity and recyclability. Through the optimization of synthesis conditions, the adsorption capacity of the traditional monomer NMDG polymer was increased, and the magnetism was given to facilitate rapid recovery. Combined with the ion imprinting technology, it showed higher boron adsorption selectivity in the presence of competitive ions.

A nano-organo catalyst mediated approach towards the green synthesis of 3-methyl-4-(phenyl)methylene-isoxazole-5(4H)-one derivatives and biological evaluation of the derivatives as a potent anti-fungal and anti-tubercular agent

An efficient and green protocol for the one-pot synthesis of 3-methyl-4-(phenyl)methylene-isoxazole-5(4H)-one derivatives catalyzed by a novel acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) is reported herein. The catalyst was synthesized and characterized by various analytical techniques. Ultrasound energy has been efficiently exploited for the preparation of the catalyst as well as the synthesis of a series of the aforesaid compounds. The salient features of this protocol include mild reaction condition, easy catalyst recovery, shorter reaction time and use of environmental-friendly solvents. In addition, preliminary in-vitro antifungal and antimycobacterial screening of the synthesized compounds were conducted against three pathogenic fungi viz., Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus flavus, Fusarium oxysporum and M. tuberculosis H37Rv respectively. Interestingly, 3-chloromethyl-4-(phenyl) methylene-isoxazole-5(4H)-one series exhibited over 50% growth inhibition against the mycelial growth of the fungi Fusarium oxysporum at 100 μg/mL. Whereas 4-(1H-indol-3-ylmethylene)-3-methyl-4H-isoxazol-5-one and 3-chloromethyl-4-(2,4,6-trimethyl-benzylidene)-4H-isoxazol-5-one displayed antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv strain equipotent to the standard drug, ethambutol (MIC 1.56 μg/mL).

Detection of bacterial contaminants via frequency manipulation of amino-groups functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles based resonant sensor

Bacterial infections have a large impact on public health. Through this study, we report on the development of complementary split-ring resonators (CSRR) supplemented by functionalized nanoparticles to detect bacteria in the aqueous medium. Iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles were functionalized with amino groups using (3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APTES) to form (APTES@Fe3O4) nanoparticles, which have a specific affinity towards the bacterial species. This affinity was evaluated using the Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacterial species. The resonant sensor was tuned at 430 MHz and the CSRR sensor bed was further activated using APTES@Fe3O4 nanoparticles. Bacterial detection was studied over a range of concentrations from 2.66 × 109 cells to 2.66 × 108 cells. The sensor actively responded to small changes in bacterial concentration, showing an overall shift in resonance frequency of ∼44 MHz (∼40 MHz/cell count) for E. coli and ∼55 MHz (50.43 MHz/cell count) for S. aureus. Dextran sulphate and Chitosan were used as the references. The magnetic character of the conjugated system exhibited strong interaction of the bacterial species with APTES@Fe3O4, justifying the high selectivity towards these species. This demonstrates the feasibility of a sensitive, fast, portable device, against the traditionally used time-consuming bio-assays.

Bis-Schiff base functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles for the sensitive fluorescence sensation of copper ions in aqueous medium

A fluorimetric nanosensor based on the bis-Schiff base fluorophore functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4@SiO2-Saloph) has been constructed for the sensation of aqueous Cu2+ ions. The final nanohybrid was thoroughly characterized by various analytical techniques. The characterization data confirmed the successful introduction of the fluorophore and the highly superparamagnetic nature of the nanoparticles. The fluorescence measurement showed that the fluorescence of the nanosensor was pH-dependent. Notably, the fluorescence was significantly reduced after the addition of Cu2+ ions at pH 6.0, and the linear concentration range for Cu2+detecting was 0.03−1 mg/L. The detection limit was measured to be 5.4 μg/L, showing the excellent sensitivity for Cu2+detection. Besides, the nanoparticles exhibited higher selectivity to Cu2+ over other studied interfering cations. Furthermore, the nanosensor demonstrated excellent sensing reversibility and practical applicability in actual water samples. Finally, the adsorption isotherm study suggested that a monolayer complexion of Cu2+ formed on the material surface.

Synthesis of Pd supported on 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a magnetic catalyst for synthesis of 2-methoxy-2-phenylacetonitrile derivative via a strecker-type reaction under ambient and solvent-free conditions

Pd supported on 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid functionalized Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles as an organic-inorganic hybrid heterogeneous catalyst was fabricated and characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, TGA, VSM, EDX, and ICP-AES techniques. The catalytic activity of the magnetic catalyst was probed through a Strecker-type reaction for one-pot synthesis of 2-methoxy-2-phenylacetonitrile derivatives under ambient and solvent-free conditions. Simple procedure, high yields, short reaction time, and environmentally benign method are advantages of this protocol. The catalyst was readily separated using an external magnet and reusable without significant loss of its catalytic efficiency.

A Reliable Electrochemical Sensor Based on Functionalized Magnetite Nanoparticles for Over‐the‐counter Allergy Medication Abuse Sensing in Biological Fluids

AbstractDiphenhydramine (DIPH) has become one of the world‘s most widely abused over‐the‐counter medications. In addition to relieving allergy symptoms, it is also recognized for causing elevated energy and mild euphoric effects. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently warned about serious problems at high doses including heart problems, seizures, coma or even death among addicted teenagers. Herein, a simple, cost‐effective, and reliable nanocomposite based electrochemical sensor was designed for DIPH quantification in biological fluids. Introducing the functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) into the inner‐filling solution and the PVC‐based ion sensing membrane has been employed and compared to the classical potentiometric approach. The nanoparticles were incorporated to endorse in situ cooperative ion‐pairing interaction between the ionophore and DIPH, and to improve the selectivity and detection limit (9.5×10−8 M). Nernstian potentiometric response was achieved for DIPH over the concentration range of 1.0×10−7 to 1.0×10−2 M with a slope of 59.0±0.2 mV/decade. Inherent merits of the proposed sensor include fast response time (6 s), superior stability (60 days) with higher sensitivity and selectivity towards DIPH without interference from co‐formulated drugs and several ions commonly found in biological matrices. The proposed sensor was successfully applied to the potentiometric determination of DIPH in different biological fluids (plasma and human milk) with an average recovery of 99.06±1.95 % and 100.34±1.92 %, respectively. As a consequence, the developed ISE might be the ideal choice for in‐line DIPH measurements in plasma samples to identify overdose ingestion and its related symptoms, as well as for quality‐control laboratories without prior treatments.

Electrochemical sensor for determination of hydroxylamine using functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles and graphene oxide modified screen-printed electrode

A simple strategy for determination of hydroxylamine based on Fe3O4 nanoparticles function­nalized by [2-(4-((3-(trimethoxysilyl)propylthio)methyl)1-H1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)acetic­acid] (FNPs) and graphene oxide (GO) modified screen-printed electrode (SPE), denoted as (Fe3O4 FNPs/GO/SPE), is reported. The electrochemical behavior of hydroxylamine was investigated at Fe3O4FNPs/GO/SPE by cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and chro­noamperometry (CHA) techniques in phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0). Fe3O4 FNPs/GO/SPE as a novel electrochemical sensor exhibited catalytic activity toward the oxidation of hydroxyl­ami­ne. The potential of hydroxylamine oxidation was shifted to more negative potentials, and its oxidation peak current increased on the modified electrode, also indicating that under these conditions, the electrochemical process is irreversible. The electrocatalytic current of hydroxyl­amine showed a good relationship in the concentration range of 0.05–700.0 μM, with a detection limit of 10.0 nM. The proposed electrode was applied for the determination of hydroxyl­amine in water samples, too.

Cu(II) supported on 5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-pyrrole-3-carboxylic acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Cu(II)-OHPC-Fe3O4) as a new magnetic nanocatalyst was prepared and characterized by ICP-AES, FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TEM, TGA, XRD, VSM and EDX techniques. Prepared nanocatalyst (Cu(II)-OHPC-Fe3O4) is employed for Pechmann reactions between different substituted phenols and ethyl acetoacetate to obtain new products of coumarin derivatives in good to excellent yields. This green catalyst was easily removed, reused several times with no significant loss of its activity and provided clean synthesis with excellent yield and reduced time.

Non-Enzymatic Hydrogen Peroxide Sensor Based on Fe3O4@Polydopamine-Ag Nanocomposite Modified Magnetic Glassy Carbon Electrode

A novel electrocatalyst, Fe3O4@Polydopamine-Ag nanocomposite, was successfully synthesized by a facile and environmentally friendly method. Fe3O4 nanoparticles were initially coated with polydopamine (PDA) via self-polymerization. Then, Ag nanoparticles were in situ deposited onto the surface of PDA functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles due to the reductive feature of PDA. The as-prepared Fe3O4@PDA-Ag nanocomposite was characterized by TEM, XRD, XPS and VSM. Moreover, antibacterial tests indicated that the Fe3O4@PDA-Ag nanocomposite exhibited excellent antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli. For the fabrication of sensor, Fe3O4@PDA-Ag nanocomposite was firmly immobilized onto the magnetic glassy carbon electrode as a result of the powerful magnetism interaction. The electrochemical behaviors of the sensor were interrogated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. The sensor exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the reduction of H2O2. In the optimum conditions, the linear response range of the constructed H2O2 sensor was from 0.1 to 17.0 mM with a detection limit of 1.6 μM (S/N = 3). In addition, the sensor exhibited long-term stability and good reproducibility, which is a promising analytical tool for the detection of real samples.

Preparation and Characterization of a Novel Magnetic Nano Catalyst for Synthesis and Antibacterial Activities of Novel Furan-2(5H)-Ones Derivatives

Sulfamic acid 2-Aminobenzothiazole-6-carboxylic acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a novel organic-inorganic hybrid heterogeneous catalyst were manufactured and characterized by FT-IR, XRD, TGA, SEM, TEM, and VSM techniques. The catalytic activity of the magnetic catalyst was investigated through the one-pot synthesis of novel 3,4,5-trisubstituted furan-2(5H)-ones derivatives from aryl aldehydes, 4-amino pyridine, and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate. The structure of all the new synthesized derivatives was determined by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR. The synthetic compounds exert moderate activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and their effectiveness is higher against Bacillus subtilis. This green nano catalytic procedure has good reversibility and provides clean production in a short reaction time. These characters make the method practical and economical for researchers.

Synthesis of amino acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles for adsorptive removal of Rhodamine B

L-Aspartic acid (L-Asp) functionalized magnetite nanoparticles (Fe3O4 NPs) were synthesized through a facile co-precipitation method using L-Asp as a capping agent. UV–Vis, FTIR, XRD, SEM, EDS, TEM, and VSM techniques were used to investigate the formation, morphology, elemental composition, and magnetic properties of the synthesized Fe3O4 NPs. Highly crystalline and spherical shaped pure phase Fe3O4 NPs were successfully synthesized using amino acid as a capping agent. The magnetic measurement analysis confirms the superparamagnetic nature of the synthesized L-Asp capped Fe3O4 NPs. The adsorption efficiency of L-Asp capped Fe3O4 NPs was assessed by the removal of Rhodamine B (RhB). The optimum removal efficiency was found to be 7.7 mg g−1 using 1 mg mL−1 adsorbent, and 30 mg L−1 RhB at pH 7 and 25 °C. The regression (R2adj) and standard deviation (SD) analysis were used to validate both kinetic and isotherm models. Avrami fractional-order and Liu models were selected as the best kinetic and isotherms, respectively. The maximum adsorption capacity (Qo) of L-Asp Fe3O4 NPs toward RhB Liu’s model was found to be 10.44 mg g−1.

A novel amino phosphonate-coated magnetic nanoparticle as MRI contrast agent

The great performance of functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) as contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is related to the functionalizing agents, once can tune colloidal properties, chemical stability, hydrophilicity, overall toxicity, as well as, dipole interparticle interactions. Phosphonate derivatives have proven to be excellent capping agents due to their ability to control the above parameters. However, the available functionalizing agents do not provide enough both attached and free-form phosphoric acid groups on NPs surface. Herein, we report the use of a commercially available amino-phosphonate compound, diethylenetriaminepenta (methylene phosphonic acid, DTPMP), to functionalize Fe3O4 NPs to be potentially applied as MRI contrast agent. For the synthesis of DTPMP-coated Fe3O4 NPs, two methodologies were applied, hydrothermal and sonochemical approaches. Several characterization techniques were performed, confirming the success of surface functionalization, which allowed a deep chemical discussion involving the interactions between DTPMP and Fe3O4 NPs. Furthermore, relaxivity and cytotoxicity analyses confirmed the MRI contrast agent potential of the DTPMP-coated Fe3O4 NPs, presenting non-cytotoxicity profile and high values of transverse relaxivity (357–417 mM−1 s−1). Therefore, this work presents a novel and excellent alternative magnetic material for biological and technological application, mainly considering MRI contrast agent.

A new approach to tailoring the separation characteristics of polyethersulfone nanofiltration membranes by 8-hydroxyquinoline functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles

8-Hydroxyquinoline (8-HQ) was used for modification of Fe3O4 nanoparticles (NPs) and preparation of polyethersulfone (PES)-based mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) by phase inversion process. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The effect of different concentrations of 8-HQ/Fe3O4 NPs into the PES as membrane matrix was investigated by FESEM and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The performance of prepared membranes was evaluated by the water contact angle, pure water flux (PWF), porosity, means pore size, and salt rejection. Bovine serum albumin (BSA) solution was used to investigate the antifouling properties of fabricated membranes. The results showed a decreasing water contact angle from 68.1° for the pristine membrane to 38.3° for M5 at 0.5 wt% 8-HQ/Fe3O4 NPs. The PWF enhanced for all mixed matrix membranes compared with the pristine membrane. The highest PWF (21.5L/m2h) was measured for M4 at 0.2wt% NPs, Wwhile it was 7.1 L/m2h for pristine membrane. Salt rejection improved from 58.55% in M1 (pristine membrane) to 96% in M4 (at 0.2 wt% of 8-HQ/Fe3O4 NPs). Also, the modified membranes showed suitable antifouling property.
