Purpose. Л. 2014 51 junction with the main objectives of the operation of railway transport: meet the needs of customers in the transportation, introduction of modern technologies, and others. The purpose of work is to determine the factors that affect the capacity of gridiron freight stations, research share of private wagons in total loading and the definition of the relationship between the sizes of the existing car fleet and track the development of railways of Ukraine. Methodology. The methods of the theory of organization operating the railways and to techno-economic analysis. Findings. With a slight decrease in the operational length of railways gridiron significantly increased the size of recycled freight car fleet. Continues to increase the ratio of the size of the car fleet of freight cars and the operating length of railways in most of what is most characteristic of the railways with the largest size pickup. Investigated the size of shares of private cars in total for specific cargo loading stations Dnieper and Donetsk railways. The factors affecting the gridiron freight stations. Scientific novelty. Developed a detailed structure of the factors influencing the gridiron freight stations, and determined the ratio between the sizes of the rolling stock and track the development of the railway station. Practical value. Detailing the factors influencing the gridiron freight stations will allow allocating in the analysis of their most significant work and improve the adequacy of simulation work specific freight station.
