Analysis of the Application of Android-Based Financial Application Development to MSME Financial Statements in Pari Serdang Bedagai City Village

In today's Digital Era, a financial report can be prepared using an android-based financial application by utilizing an android smartphone which will make it easier for MSME actors in Pari Serdang Bedagai City Village to see and enter transactions in the form of purchases-sales, debts-receivables, payment of operational expenses and others. This system makes it easier for MSME actors in Kota Pari Serdang Bedagai Village to find out business developments effectively and efficiently so that in the future it can be used as access to capital to formal financial institutions so that they can strengthen the economy in moving the wheels of the economy. The purpose of this study is to find out the process of implementing and developing a simple android-based financial application as a medium in compiling financial reports for MSMEs in Pari Serdang Bedagai City Village. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The data analysis techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study were obtained that in the financial recording of MSMEs in the area in the village of Pari Serdang Bedagai City, they have not used android-based financial applications, they still use simple and manual recording. Their obstacle is the lack of knowledge about android-based financial applications in compiling financial reports due to the level of education and lack of socialization. From the results of research and discussion, it is known that the level of education in the IT field affects the application and development of android-based financial applications in compiling financial reports.

Role of multi-level institutions in facilitating innovation and adaptation technologies for reducing climate risk and impact: Evidence from coastal communities of Bangladesh

While the role of innovation and adaptation technology in reducing climatic risks is widely recognized, few studies have investigated the role of formal, quasi-formal, and informal institutions in facilitating the adoption of such technology at the local level. The novel contribution of this study is in offering explanations of how local institutions facilitate or create barriers against innovation and implementation of climate adaptation technologies. In this study, we employ a mixed-methods research technique to empirically examine the roles of local institutions in two coastal communities in Bangladesh in facilitating reduction of the impacts of climate hazards. Primary data were collected via interviewing 300 household heads, 26 key informant interviews, and 2 Focus Group Discussion sessions. The findings reveal that local institutions (i.e., formal, quasi-formal, and informal) are actively involved in various partnership-building processes and actions to promote innovation and adaptation technologies at the community level. For example, in the study area of Satkhira District, in collaboration with local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as well as national level government organizations, such as Bangladesh Meteorological Department, Union Parishad Disaster Management Committees are deeply engaged in mobilizing local volunteers to effectively disseminate cyclone-related early warnings. However, significant institutional fragmentation in the country remains a major barrier to the sustainable implementation of various programs related to climatic hazards. For institutions to play their roles sustainably, it is recommended that national policies place greater emphasis on nurturing partnerships among regional stakeholders, as well as facilitating collective action for climate-induced disaster risk reduction and participatory community development.

Cultural Institution in the 21st Century: The Need, Tradition, and Construct (A Study on the Russian Population in the Republic of Tatarstan)

This article examines the conceptualization of the institutional forms of ethno-social daily routines among the modern Russian population of the Republic of Tatarstan. The basic cultural institutions, such as ethnicity, religious identity, family, and ethno-cultural practices, are described. Their role across different groups of the Russian population in Tatarstan is revealed. The analysis is based on a multi-paradigm approach and well-known socio-humanitarian theories (functionalism, phenomenology, and social constructivism). The study «Social well-being and ethno-cultural needs of the Russian population in the Republic of Tatarstan» carried out in autumn 2022 is used as an analytical source of data. The obtained results show that the demand for traditional cultural institutions, which can be categorized as «need», «tradition», and «construct», varies depending on their roles within the study groups. A growing influence of urban spaces in shaping the ethnic «tradition», particularly among young people, is shown.

How Institutional Quality Causes Financial Development?

Institutional quality has received considerable attention in recent years as a potential determinant of variation in the level of financial development across countries. The current paper critically reviews the literature linking formal and informal institutions and financial development. It discusses the main theories in this regard—namely, legal origins theory, the new political economy of finance, and cultural finance. The paper provides an overview of the latest empirical research in each of these areas with a focus on the data and methods used. The directions for further research are also highlighted.

Administrative and Economic Systems of the Mughal Empire: A Historical Analysis of Governance and Revenue Policies

The Mughal Dynasty commenced in 1526, led by the esteemed Babur, who is renowned as the pioneer and founder of Indian civilization through the process of unification. Due to its vast territorial reach from Kabul to Bengal, with natural boundaries such as the Arabian Sea and Himalayas, this dynasty was able to establish sophisticated formal institutions that surpassed those of other empires worldwide at that time. This study examines the complex governance system of The Mughal Empire, with a focus on the reigns of Babur, Humayun, Akbar, and Aurangzeb. Abul-Fazl Ibn Mubarak, a prominent historian during Akbar's reign, elucidated the Mughals' adoption of the dual strategies of 'JahanBani' (state maintenance) and 'Jahangiri' (imperial expansion). The article also examines Akbar's reforms in land revenue systems, which aimed to provide uniformity and economic stability in order to sustain the Empire's prosperity. The inclusion of women in the Mughal court is examined to highlight their cultural, political, and social achievements. This examination thoroughly explores the functioning of the Mughal administration and how it effectively maintained the empire's supremacy.

Pelatihan Pembuatan Terarium Sebagai Produk kewirausahaan Bagi Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Sindang Danau Kabupaten Oku Selatan

Formal school education institutions, one of which is Senior High School (SMA/SMK/MA) both public and private, which is in the process of achieving success in the teaching and learning process, are currently starting to implement entrepreneurship programs for students, especially since the Covid pandemic -19 hit. South Ogan Komering Ulu Regency (OKUS) is one of the districts in the province of South Sumatra, administratively located on the Sumatran highway so that the development of this district continues to progress. Various educational institutions both private and public, including SMAN 1 Sindang Danau. This PkM program aims to provide information for students and teachers in making terrariums as entrepreneurship learning based on science lessons. The activity was carried out on October 20 2022 at SMAN 1 Sindang Danau, OKU Selatan Regency. The implementation method is done by direct simulation. The results achieved by students of SMAN 1 Sindang Danau can apply terrarium making techniques as an application of science learning.

The role of parenting in child development

Abstract We study the consequences of unequal parenting on children’s long-term outcomes. Our analysis reveals that parenting style exerts a distinct influence on children’s development, separate from socio-economic factors such as education and race. We contend that parenting styles adapt to the evolving environment in which children are raised. Although correlated with socio-economic family characteristics, this factor demonstrates an independent impact. Recognizing how parents respond to economic shifts is crucial for deriving policy implications. Supporting this perspective, our findings indicate that parenting choices exhibit systematic variation across countries and local communities with varying formal and informal institutions. Therefore, a critical next step in addressing inequality in early-childhood outcomes involves examining how parents will modify their own behaviours in response to potential policy changes.

Internal information asymmetry and power distance

Using the difference in insider trading profitability between top and lower-level managers to proxy for firms’ internal information asymmetry, we show that power distance increases internal information asymmetry in an international sample of 10,103 firms across 22 economies from 2003 to 2018. Furthermore, we find that this positive impact is lessened for firms with less complexity, more female directors on board, or an internal CEO promoted from within the firm. Moreover, we show that a country’s high-quality formal institutions lessen the role that a country’s culture of power distance plays in escalating internal information asymmetry. Our main conclusions remain valid after taking into account robustness and endogeneity issues.

TRANSFORMATION OF REGIONAL FIRE SERVICES ORGANIZATION IN SERANG CITY BANTEN PROVINCE

Based on Law Number 23 of 2014 regarding on Regional Government, it is stated that fire is one of mandatory affairs relating to basic services in the field of public order and community protection. One of the consequences of mandatory matters related to basic services is the Minimum Service Standards (called SPM) set by the government to provide guarantees that all citizens in Indonesia will receive a minimum basic services, including in the fire sector. The institutional form of regional fire service organization is an important aspect in supporting the effective implementation of regional government duties in carrying out mandatory affairs related to basic services. Therefore, organizational transformation is a necessity that cannot be avoided, considering the various factors that influence the organization are changing so rapidly. The purpose of this research is to find out how organizational transformation occurs, to find the determining factors and to formulate a model for organizational transformation of regional fire service organization. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with data collection through interviews, observations and documentations. This research analyzes and evaluates the organizational structure of regional fire service organization in Serang City, Banten Province. The research results show that the transformation has been analyzed using the 4R approach (Reframing, Restructure, Revitalization and Renewal). In principle, the process of organizational transformation of regional fire service organization in Serang City, Banten Province has been carried out. This can be seen from the changes in organizational form and structure that adapt to district needs. However, this transformation shows suboptimal because it is not based on the implementation of the organization's mission, application of rules and political will. Thus, an ideal organization has not yet been achieved. A regional apparatus organization that handles the mandatory affairs related to basic services, the nomenclature, structure, duties and functions of fire and rescue services should be in an independent agency at least with the type C model.

Empirical Approaches to the Rule of Law: Contours and Challenges of a Social Science that Does Not Quite Yet Exist

In the past, the rule of law was largely overlooked by sociologists and other social scientists. However, recent years have seen an increasing number of empirical studies of the rule of law. I survey that diverse literature and identify three generations of empirical research, each based on a different approach: (a) the rule of law in action, (b) the rule of law index, and (c) the living rule of law. These studies give us a detailed, but often sobering, view of the rule of law in the real world. I critically review the emerging field and discuss challenges for future research. Developing a more coherent social science of the rule of law is important because it helps us to understand that the rule of law is defined not only by formal institutions and legal documents but also by the place of law in people's everyday lives.

Edukasi Pencegahan Perilaku Bullying Melalui Video Pendek pada Siswa SMP Khairul Imam Medan

Bullying in linguistic terms is bullying, which means disturbing and causing trouble. Bullying is an act that violates human rights, and currently, bullying cases are a hot topic being discussed in various media. Bullying is a serious act that affects children all over the world, including in Indonesia. Formal educational institutions, especially schools, are often places where bullying behaviour occurs. This phenomenon is not only limited to the lower middle school level, but upper middle school students are also not free from this act of bullying. In this context, junior high school students have begun to form groups and interact with their peers, making them more vulnerable to bullying. Therefore, the aim of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of junior high school students, especially in class VIII at the Khairul Imam Medan Integrated Islamic Middle School, about bullying behavior. Educational activities were carried out three times, which included preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. This education has benefits in efforts to prevent and detect early bullying behaviour in junior high school students, especially at Khairul Imam Integrated Islamic Middle School, Medan. Following the implementation of educational activities, we can conclude that students who were previously unaware of bullying now understand the concept and strategies to prevent it. The hope is that after this community service activity, the school and other related parties can take steps to prevent and detect bullying behaviour early, especially among junior high school students.

INFLUENCE OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS RATIO ANALYSIS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF SAVINGS AND CREDIT CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY IN KAKAMEGA COUNTY, KENYA

An essential function of Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOS) is to provide financial services to the underprivileged, who are not eligible for services provided by Formal Financial Institutions (FFIs). These SACCOS, however, face a number of difficulties that could affect how well they operate as a whole. The purpose of this study is to look into how financial statement analysis affects SACCO’s performance in Kakamega, Kenya. Examining a company's financial statements such as the income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet in order to evaluate its financial performance and make informed investment decisions is known as financial statement analysis. Because Kakamega, Kenya, has a large number of SACCOS and little research has been done in the area, it was chosen as the study location. Kakamega considerable agricultural output and comparatively high rates of poverty make it an ideal place to research how SACCOS help the underprivileged get financial access. The study specifically looked at how ratio analysis affects the performance of Sacco's in Kakamega, Kenya. The inquiry was conducted using a survey research design because it allows for the manipulation of variables and allows the researcher to choose and study distinct groups of people at one time. There were 830 respondents in the study population, of which 400 respondents made up the sample size determined by applying the Krecjie and Morgan methodology. Document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires were used to gather data. In order to examine the collected data, descriptive statistics such as means, frequencies, and percentages was used. A summary of the quantitative data was used to measure how strongly the variables are related. To determine the link between the independent and dependent variables, the researcher performed a multiple linear regression analysis. The study finished with a discussion of the significance of the findings for the success of SACCOS in Kakamega, Kenya, and recommendations for further research. The results were presented as tables, graphs, and pie charts. The study concluded that the majority of SACCOs in Kakamega, Kenya, recognize the significance of ratio analysis in monitoring and enhancing financial performance. With 85.3% of SACCOs employing ratio analysis, and recommended that the Policymakers can develop and enforce policies that promote the standardization of financial reporting practices across SACCOs. Formal and Informal Institutional Factors and Women Entrepreneurship in Egypt: A Qualitative Perspective

This paper aims to identify the constrains faced by female entrepreneurs in Egypt. This study also intends to examine the influence of formal and informal institutional factors on women’s entry into entrepreneurship in Egypt. In addition, to explore the factors enable women entrepreneurs to overcome the barriers they may face. The qualitative research approach was adopted in the study to explore the challenges experienced by Egyptian female entrepreneurs. Purposeful sampling was employed and twenty-five (25) women entrepreneurs were selected from five Egyptian governorates to conduct semi-structured interviews to collect primary data. The findings indicated that the main constraints faced Egyptian women entrepreneurs arise from difficulty in raising capital, socio-culture commitments, sexual harassment, work-family conflict and lack of managerial skills. The study found factors such family-husband support, religious values, personal traits and technological skills are crucial for overcome constraints faced by women entrepreneurs. The study recommends creating a funding program targeting female entrepreneurs and raise the awareness about the importance of women entrepreneurship as well as take necessary actions to prevent sexual harassment phenomenon. Minimal research has examined female entrepreneurship in Egypt. Therefore, this study offers valuable insights of constraints faced by women entrepreneurs in Egypt. The study contributes to the women’s entrepreneurship literature from the perspective of an Arab Islamic developing country.

Constructing regulatory regimes for sustainable development: commitment to resolve, clarity, and reasonableness

ABSTRACT To be effective, a regulatory regime for sustainable development must demonstrate to the regulated entities its resolve to attain regulatory goals while avoiding an arbitrary exercise of authority. Yet many developing countries lack the robust political-administrative institutions to construct and maintain such regimes. The environmental reform in Guangdong, China, shows how, with underdeveloped formal political-administrative institutions, the regulatory regime must demonstrate commitment acts, including transparent enforcement, compliance benchmarking, expectation pacing, and third-party enforcement. These acts help, over time, to maintain enterprises’ perceptions of the regulatory regime’s resolve, clarity, and reasonableness. By analyzing primary data from extensive fieldwork and survey observations conducted at two separate times, we show that enterprises are more likely to adopt environmental management measures if they perceive higher regulatory resolve, clarity, and reasonableness. Their assurance needs vary at different stages of regime development. Establishing clear expectations matters at an earlier stage when regulatory goals are new and expectations relatively lax. Yet, as expectations become more stringent, maintaining reasonableness becomes essential. In both stages, a perception of resoluteness in enforcement matters.

THE IMPACT OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC FACTORS OF HORTICULTURAL FARMERS ON ACCESS TO MICROFINANCE IN EAST JAVA

Almost all corporate financing in the agriculture sector is dependent on interest. Because the features of the agricultural sector are incompatible with the finance sector, banks often show little interest in funding the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study were Analyze the socio-economics factors that influence the decision of horticultural farmers in East Java in accessing microfinance. The method of determining the location of the research was carried out in two locations, namely Wonomulyo Village, Poncokusumo Subdistrict, Malang Regency, dan Pacet Village, Pacet Subdistrict, Mojokerto Regency. 160 farmers were chosen as the study's sample size using the proportionate stratified sampling technique and the Slovin formula. To answer these problems descriptive analysis, logistic regression analysis (logit) was used. Formal institutions assigned to channel the funds include government banks and private banks. Informal institutions that carry out the distribution of micro-credit funds are the private sector or institutions from the farmers themselves. The majority of farmers generally know that the level of formal financing sources is indeed lower, but administrative procedures are considered difficult. Based on the results of logistic regression analysis for the factors that influence the decisions of Horiculture farmers in East Java in accessing credit, including education, length of business, land area, and income. It is recommended that in order to formulate steps for the ease of taking out agricultural loan, Field Extension Officers, regional cooperatives, government banks, and private banks should conduct specific studies and take specific approaches.

International Experience in Adult Education: Transformation of Institutional Forms

Introduction. The article is devoted to the problem of institutional boundaries blurring triggered by the disintegration of traditional institutions, the emergence of new educational formats. The aim is to institutionally analyse the international experience in adult education, explore traditional and new forms, and identify key vectors of change. Materials and Methods. The methodological framework is an ecosystem approach, comparative, institutional and thematic content analyses of scientific publications. In the first step, the authors analysed statistical data and identified three groups of countries according to the level of adult involvement in lifelong learning. In the second step, the authors conducted a socio-historical review of institutional forms of adult education in different countries. Results. The analytical review allowed the authors to identify traditional and new institutional forms, as well as their representation in different countries. It was proved that traditional institutions are being replaced by new formats due to the development of digital technologies and the EdTech industry. Traditional institutions are characterized by internal stability, clear boundaries and hierarchy. They are being replaced by flexible, hybrid institutional structures based on digital communication networks with horizontal links. Roles and statuses of participants in the learning process, instructional design, learning pathways, procedures, assessment technologies, which are the key vectors of institutional transformation, have changed. Discussion and Conclusion. Having analysed historical experience and international best practices in adult education, the authors substantiate a possible evolutionary scenario of institutional changes. The results obtained contribute to the development of scientific ideas about the relationship between the labour market, EdTech industry and institutional forms in adult education to synchronize supply and demand. The study can be used to develop social policy measures for training different population groups and create a national ecosystem of lifelong adult education.

Integration of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon with Formal Education in Developing Students Religious Character in the Disruption Era

Religious character education is a serious challenge for formal educational institutions in Indonesia, especially when facing an era of disruption that has seen educational institutions digitized. Various efforts have been made, including integrating formal educational institutions with madrasah diniyah to strive for the development of students' religious character. Based on this, this research aims to examine education in madrasah diniyah, the integration model between madrasah diniyah and formal educational institutions, and the results of this integration. This research is qualitative, using a case study approach. This research was conducted at three educational institutions, namely Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon, MI Al-Furqon, and SDN 3 Panjang. The results of the research show that religious education at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon has built a religious foundation and also the religious character of students. From this, institutional integration has been formed between Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon and MI Al-Furqon and cultural integration between Madrasah Diniyah Al-Furqon and SDN 3 Panjang. This integration makes students have deeper values: social awareness, discipline, worship, politeness, and also Islamic knowledge are greater than students who do not study at madrasah diniyah.

Exploring the effect of institutions on entrepreneurial ecosystems: A meta–analysis

ABSTRACT The role of institutions in fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems (EEs) has received increasing attention from scholars. This meta-analysis is the first to assess the effectiveness of formal institution, informal institutions and networks in enhancing EEs performance. As such, it blends institutional theory with the theory of entrepreneurship through the lens of EEs. Further, it aims to unveil potential moderators on the nexus between EEs and institutions. Our findings show that although formal and informal institutions and networks are significant determinants of EEs performance, their effect sizes depend on the measurement context of EEs, the level of economic development, cultural and spatial specificities. In this sense, our findings, apart from confirming the role of institutions in EEs performance, help further expanding theorizing on the strength of this relationship by highlighting their context dependence.

WEAKNESS AS A PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPT AND LEGAL CATEGORY

The article is devoted to the most complex, little-studied in jurisprudence and the theory of civil law, deep-seated issues of protecting the weakness in delicate and other legal relations. The authors proceed from the fact that the effectiveness of the protection of the weakness is based on its holistic understanding of both legal and philosophical categories. Based on this, the authors draw a philosophical-semantic and lexical-legal analogy between this category and the category of a weak subject, its semantic conditionality from such philosophical categories as personality, self-worth of a person. It is proposed to consider the category of the weakness from the standpoint of its static and dynamic states, the conditionality of the effectiveness of its protection in the post-Soviet society from the development and state of effectiveness of formal institutions, as well as the ideological and value attitude of Kazakhstan society to the fundamental principles of the rule of law, formal equality and social justice The authors separately highlight the dependence of legal protection of a weak subject on the extent to which Kazakhstan's socio-legal reality realizes: a) the conditionality of a person from society, on the one hand; and b) his natural-biological and cognitive self-sufficiency, on the other. In this context, the authors make some retrospective analysis of the state of natural human rights in Kazakhstan of the Soviet period, reveal the nature and essence of the category "I". According to the authors, the category "I" in post-classical reality is a key element of such self-sufficiency. It is on the basis of their unity that reflection, comprehension and concepts of self-awareness and self-knowledge, self-identity, respect for self and other, society and the state should be built.

Pandemia COVID-19 w Chile. Wyzwania dla stosunków między organami władzy i koordynacji w zdecentralizowanym państwie unitarnym

The paper explores the relationship between national and subnational authorities in Chile in the context of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly analyzing the principle of coordination and the complexities of the state of emergency. The analysis is carried out in light of the constitutional provisions of the Chilean political system. Although subnational authorities developed significant activities to address the effects of the pandemic in their respective territories, particularly the local mayors, this was not accompanied by legal or practical reforms to integrate institutional or procedural changes to incorporate the subnational levels of government in the decision-making processes. During this state of emergency, the formal and informal institutions failed to be accountable for the necessary coordination of their competences at national, regional and local levels. Therefore, the COVID-19 pandemic, occurring during a nationwide constitution-making debate in Chile, opened the opportunity to discuss institutions and arrangements that could lead to an effective and legitimate system of intergovernmental relations in a decentralized unitary state.
