Dynamics of the process of formation of the value foundations of the information culture of students of secondary vocational education

The article deals with the problem of the dynamics of the process of forming the value foundations of the information culture of students of secondary vocational education. The theoretical analysis of research on the formation of information culture is given, the stages of this process are presented: informing about the norms and values of information culture (formation of a holistic view and understanding of the value foundations of information culture.); presentation of samples of action in the information and educational environment (demonstration of a sample of action in the information and educational environment); activity-based mediation of information culture values (inclusion of students in value-oriented activities that allow them to gain experience in behavior and activity); stimulation of involvement and motivation of development in solving problems (support of persistent cognitive interest and development); reflexive processing of the experience gained (development of a reflexive position). Experimental activity is described. The author's complex of techniques for the diagnosis of the process under study is presented. The analysis of the results indicates the positive dynamics of the formation of the value foundations of information culture. The results of the empirical research and mathematical and statistical processing of the results confirm the effectiveness of the described work on the formation of the value foundations of the information culture of students of secondary vocational education on the basis of the stages of this process proposed by the author.

МОДЕЛЬ ЦИФРОВОГО ОБРАЗОВАНИЯ ДЛЯ ФОРМИРОВАНИЯ ИНФОРМАЦИОННОЙ КУЛЬТУРЫ ОБУЧАЮЩИХСЯ В УСЛОВИЯХ СЕЛЬСКОЙ ШКОЛЫ ЯКУТИИ

In connection with the orientation of the educational paradigm to the development of the student's personality, there is a need to solve problems related to the formation of the student's information culture of personality, which allows him to understand the nature of information processes, their importance for self-improvement and the development of society, as well as to become a creator in his information behavior. The formation of the information culture of the personality of a student of a secondary school is impossible without the use of digital educational environment. This is particularly relevant in remote and hard-to-reach rural schools, since a digital educational environment can be built regardless of geographical location. This study is devoted to the practical implementation of the digital education model for the formation of students' information culture in the educational activities of the A.L. Bakhsyrov Killakh secondary School of the Olekminsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The model contains the following structural components (blocks): targeted, meaningful, organizational and activity, evaluative and effective. The methodological foundations of the organization are system-activity, environmental and cultural approaches. When implementing the model, didactic principles of activity, continuity, integrity, variability and creativity are used. The paper presents the didactic possibilities of the digital educational environment (digital educational resource, online excursions, digital books, developing mobile computer games, animated films, school television, a school channel in a messenger, a mobile application for self-development), a structural and content model of digital education and a list of created products. The developed and implemented model of digital education for the formation of the information culture of schoolchildren has proven its effectiveness and can be implemented in other rural schools in Russia, provided that the digital infrastructure is sufficiently formed and innovations are accepted by teaching teams.

The Level of Formation of The Information Culture of Islamic Students

This article explains what information culture is and its specific features in the era of modern information culture. Fast and high-quality circulation of information is needed in the educational system and is an important factor or aspect for the progress and development of a country. Therefore, it is important for students and the younger generation to implement the basic criteria of information culture in the proper use of the Internet in education. The research problem is to determine the social factors that lead to the lack of a critical approach to the selection of necessary information among students in Islamic educational institutions. This research is important because information culture is a vital need for future preachers or preachers. The research method uses a literature review approach. The focus of the research is to analyze the patterns of using information culture on the Internet and social media. The results of the study provide an explanation of the patterns of information use in society, especially in Islamic educational institutions. The results describe 13 key factors on the level of formation of students' information culture in Islamic education in the 21st century.

FORMATION OF INFORMATION CULTURE IN STUDENTS OF ENGINEERING AND PEDAGOGICAL AREAS OF EXPERTISE DURING THEIR VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The study examines the problem of the content and structure of the students’ information culture in engineering and pedagogical areas of expertise, as well as directions, methods and technologies of its formation during their professional training. The purpose of the article is to highlight the content and structure of the information culture in students of engineering and pedagogical specialities and to study the leading ways of managing its formation within the vocational training process. It has been established that information culture is complex, integrated, and value-based personal formation, a structural component of the future specialist’s professional culture. It includes a set of knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that aid in effectively perceiving, processing, understanding, evaluating, storing, producing, sharing and application of information in the modern information society, in professional activity and in teaching in educational institutions. It has been found out that information culture in its development goes through several qualitative levels, namely: cognitive (the level of awareness and functional knowledge); emotional value-based (instructions, evaluations, and attitudes); and behavioural (actual and potential cultural behaviour in working with information) ones. Following the analysis of primary sources, within the space of an individual’s information culture, the culture of educational-cognitive activity, communicative and computer cultures have been distinguished. It has been claimed that each component has independent significance and, in unity, ensures the implementation of cognitive, value-orientating, creative-developmental functions, as well as the functions of optimization, intensification, and professionalization in the students’ professional training in engineering and pedagogical area of expertise. It has been generalized that information culture assists future professionals to become active participants in the contemporary information space, effective agents of society’s digital transformation, and representatives of high professional culture and professional and pedagogical mastery. It has been emphasized that the process of shaping the information culture in students of engineering and pedagogical specialities is an integral part of their professional training, conducted based on comprehensive and interdisciplinary approaches. The main directions of such activity include: deepening the content of curriculum disciplines, expanding the content of educational and production practices, introducing special courses and electives, refining the content of students’ independent educational activities in engineering and pedagogical specialities, developing project-based and public activities of students, and in addition – networking. Practical experience in implementing programs for the formation of information culture in educational institutions of various levels has shown that such programs can be successful if they are adapted to the needs and capabilities of a specific educational organisation. Further refinement of comprehensive interdisciplinary programs for the formation of the students’ information culture is seen in its adaptation to changes in the information environment, development of interactive resources, strengthening digital security, collaboration with other organizations, and spreading awareness regarding the importance of information culture and digital literacy among all participants of the educational process. It has been concluded that managing the process of forming the information culture of students in engineering and pedagogical areas of expertise is a complex and multi-faceted task. In its implementation, it is necessary to ensure the unity, interconnection, and complementarity of all the mentioned directions, as well as to carry out direct operation (via consulting, lectures, and seminar classes) and indirect (through pedagogical conditions, established procedures, instructions, and modern SMART systems) competent pedagogical management.

Competencies of Librarians in the Ecosystem of Open Science

The development of an open science information infrastructure requires the presence of highly qualified library staff. He should be capable of responding to and interested in changes in science and technology, able to create innovative information products and make them available to the public, organize new forms of interaction with scientists, implement educational programs, and advise on associated with the concept of open science. The study is conducted in order to determine the areas of training and practice-oriented training for additional professional programs and retraining of specialized specialists. These programs are the specialists to acquire practical skills in the creation and use of open information resources of various types, the formation of information culture of users, the development of scientific communication and new library and information services. The results of the analysis of the required competencies of library specialists are presented. They take into account the trends in the development of the information ecosystem of open science and building relationships with users through partnerships; the system of different training in Russia is studied and the gap between the education of librarians and the practice of their work on information support of research activities is determined.

Formation of Information Culture of Higher Education Students in the Digital age

The purpose of the article is to analyze the features of the "information culture" of society and the individual in the digital era, as well as to determine the ways of its formation among students of higher education, in particular, specialties from the field of knowledge 02 "Culture and art"; to propose the content of the educational discipline "Information culture and academic integrity" from the experience of its teaching at the National Academy of Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts. The research methodology consists in the application of general scientific methods, namely: methods of terminological and comparative analysis, synthesis, generalization, system and activity approach, which makes it possible to achieve the set goal. The scientific novelty of the article. The work emphasizes the importance of teaching the educational discipline "Information culture and academic integrity" from the point of view of the competence approach, in the context of the formation of "information" and "digital" competence. Thus, focusing on the features of the modern stage of development of the information society, its digitalization. Examples of the formulation of information and digital competences prescribed in the requirements for "graduate competences" and "learning outcomes" in the approved Standards of higher education of the first (bachelor) level in specialties – 022 "Design", 023 "Fine art, decorative art" were selected and analyzed , restoration", 024 "Choreography", 025 "Musical art", 026 "Scenic art", 028 "Management of socio-cultural activities", 029 "Information, library and archival work" and in the relevant educational and professional programs in these specialties at the National Academy of Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts. The main content modules of the educational discipline program are defined. Emphasis is placed on the formation of the minimum efficiency of information search, critically evaluating sources of information, determining their authority and reliability, and academically fair use of other people's educational, scientific, and creative achievements. To use modern possibilities of information and communication technologies virtuously and effectively. Conclusions. The article proves the practicality of introducing the educational discipline "Information culture and academic integrity" as a mandatory educational component of the OPP, aimed at forming general and professional competencies in students of higher education majoring in the knowledge 02 "Culture and art." Recommendations for the meaningful content of the educational discipline and the use of game-based online learning methods have been determined. Contradictions of digital higher education in the information culture of modern society

Introduction. Digital education today is a new phenomenon for many countries of the world. In its most general form, it represents the next stage of informatization of education, but it has its own specific features. The author continues a number of previous studies on the problems of informatization of education, information socialization of personality, formation of information culture. Scientists are actively studying the problems associated with the digitalization of higher education. The range of these problems is quite wide and each of them arises on the basis of various contradictions that are studied in different areas of scientific knowledge: sociology, economics, pedagogy, philosophy, cultural studies, etc. To see the possible negative consequences of the transition to digital education and take measures to level them, it is necessary to identify and systematize these contradictions and problems. This will make it possible to develop programs and proposals to improve the quality and effectiveness of digital higher education based on an integrated system approach. The aim of the study is to analyze and systematize the main contradictions and problems of digital higher education in Russia. Materials and Methods. The methodology and methods of the study were the methods of analytical review of domestic and foreign literature on the development of digital education. Further, on the basis of methods of analysis, comparison, generalization and principles of dialectics, a systematization of the main contradictions and problems that arise in the system of modern higher education in Russia in the process of its digitalization was carried out. Results. The study showed that the main contradictions and related problems of digital higher education can be divided into three groups: within pedagogical activity between traditional and digital forms of education, training and upbringing; between digital and traditional forms of elements of education (subject, object, means, environment, conditions, goals, result); between elements of the main subsystems of culture (information, praxiological and axiological), the formation of which is the main goal of pedagogical activity. Discussion and Conclusions. The study can be used to build models of digital educational activities that enable you to learn new principles of the relationship of digital education, training, and education in a digital information culture of a modern society, a new status and role of subjects of pedagogical activity, a new paradigm of pedagogical interaction, given a system of contradictions between traditional and digital mechanisms of socialization.

Information culture as a component of the formation of state policy in the field of vocational pre-higher education

The current stage of development of social relations is characterized by rapid activation of digital (information) technologies. The intensive progress of science and technological progress have become the main features of modern society. The use of digital technologies gave impetus to the processes of transformation in society - the informational transformation of social relations, which is expressed in the application of modern digital technologies in various spheres of human activity. Education acquires new features and a new meaning in the information society.
 It was noted that the prospects of future use by specialists of the possibilities of informatization, the possibility of online communication, the use of automated search and reference legal systems and electronic databases of legal information call for the need to study information culture as a component of state policy in the field of vocational pre-university education.
 The article is devoted to highlighting those changes that form new relations in society, and shows the importance of the formation of information culture and its influence on the implementation of state policy in the field of vocational pre-higher education.
 It is emphasized that the successful performance of tasks in any field of production also depends on the information culture of specialists, which consists in the knowledge and ability to use the entire set of legal means of working with information during the performance of official duties within the limits of competence established by law and other legal acts . It was established that today a manager, a high-level specialist, is obliged to work with a computer, use the capabilities of information systems and work with large amounts of information.
 It is suggested that, in the implementation of state policy in the field of vocational pre-higher education, serious attention should be paid to the formation of information culture. In addition, during the training of specialists in vocational higher education institutions, one of the mandatory disciplines should be "Information culture".

СУЧАСНІ МЕТОДИ ВПЛИВУ НА ПІДСВІДОМІСТЬ ГЛЯДАЦЬКОЇ АУДИТОРІЇ В ТЕЛЕМАРАФОНІ «ЄДИНІ НОВИНИ»

<p><strong><em>The purpose </em></strong><em>of the article is to analyze modern methods of influencing the subconscious of the audience in the telethon «Yedini Novyni».</em></p><p><strong><em>Research methodology. </em></strong><em>To realize the purpose of the research, a comprehensive approach to the selection of the main research methods was used, namely: observation – for the analysis of the telethon «Edyny Novyni»; historical – for the study of phenomena in the process of their occurrence and in the dynamics of development; generalization and formulation of conclusions. And the implementation of the system approach helped to investigate in more detail modern methods of influencing the subconscious of the audience.</em></p><p><strong><em>The results. </em></strong><em>It was determined that the modern information society is equated with the concept of «information war», which is characterized as a special form of influence on citizens from other countries in peacetime or wartime due to the dissemination of relevant information and the protection of citizens of one’s country from such influence. Due to the start of a full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, which took place on February 24, 2022, the national telethon «Edyny Novyny» began its work with the aim of refuting Russian propaganda and fakes related to the situation in Ukraine.</em></p><p><em>After analyzing the structure of the national telethon, it was found out that it consists of informational teleplots with different topics: socio-political, military, economic, medical, cultural-historical, sports, scientific, logistical, etc. In addition, as part of our research, one of the issues of the national telethon was analyzed. And in accordance with the purpose of the research, modern methods of influencing the subconscious of the viewing audience of the telethon «Edyny Novyni» were considered.</em></p><p><em>Thus, the most common method of influencing the subconscious of the audience is capture, infection, information blockade, joining, word play, creation of information reality.</em></p><p><strong><em>The scientific novelty </em></strong><em>of the article lies in the fact that, for the first time, an attempt was made to outline modern methods of influencing the subconscious of the audience in the telethon «Edyni Novyni».</em></p><p><strong><em>Practical meaning.</em></strong><em> The results of the research can be used for the development of measures for the formation of information culture in the audience.</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> methods, mass media, subconsciousness, information war, telethon.</em></p>

The article analyzes opinions on the formation of informational culture in future history teachers in teaching history, telling historical truths, cleaning history from lies and fabrications.

Information and communication technologies in the professional activity of physical culture and sports specialists using the competence approach

The article examines the main directions of using information and communication technologies (ICT) in the professional activities of physical education managers. Information and communication technologies are defined as processes, methods of search, collection, storage, processing, provision, distribution of information and methods of implementation of such processes and methods.
 The introduction of ICT in the educational and training process stimulates interest in educational and training activities, promotes the formation of logical and creative thinking, promotes the development of students and the formation of information culture. Information and communication technologies contribute to the development of the competence of critical thinking and the competence of interpersonal interaction in training work.
 The relevance of the application of the researched technologies is substantiated, which is due to the social need to improve the quality of physical education of children of different ages and the educational process in general. The issue of applying the competence approach in the process of physical education as a condition for improving the quality of education is revealed. The mechanisms of implementation of the competence approach, taking into account the individual characteristics of students, were traced.
 The complex application of information and communication technologies in the process of physical education is quite relevant for the development of the student's personality and the formation of the following competencies in students: the ability to compare the advantages and disadvantages of various sources of information, to choose appropriate technologies for its search, to create and use adequate models and procedures for studying and processing information, etc.

Library Service in Ensuring the Information Ecology of an Organization: A Case Study of a Research University Library

Objective. Information products and services provided by academic libraries to support the educational process and research are a component of the information ecology of educational institutions, but their list within each academic library depends on the institutional ecology. Therefore, it is useful to study the practical experience of various academic libraries in ensuring the information ecology of research universities. As an example, we consider the successful experience of G. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (KPI Library). Methods. A qualitative method of longitudinal research was used to obtain data and analyze the KPI Library information services. A number of primary data sources were used, such as diaries of first-hand reflection, observations, engaged in documenting and developing a narrative about the effectiveness of interaction of students, lecturers, scientists with the information environment. Analytical and review, logical, systematic methods are applied to substantiate the place of library service in information ecology. Results. The experience of KPI Library in ensuring the information ecology of the university was studied. Ways of organizing prompt, effective and safe (ecological) interaction with users and support of internal information products and services are analyzed. It is shown which services (tools and information resources) and areas of activity of the library form the information ecology of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The role of the library in the formation of information culture and the culture of academic integrity of scientists, teachers and students of the university is shown. Conclusions. The considered example of KPI Library activity confirms that an academic library is directly involved in formation of the information ecology of a research university. A deeper analysis of the value of products and the effectiveness of library services for various members of the academic community as a component of the information ecology of the university may be the subject of further research.

Development of information culture among teaching staff of general secondary education institutions

Information culture is an integral component of the labor efficiency of specialists in a wide range of fields of professional employment. Information and communication technologies have undergone rapid changes in the main methods and types of human activity in the social environment, which encourage potential users to constantly master them and adapt to new types of professional activity. Professional development programs for teaching staff are created taking into account the current trends in the development of the information technology market and the possibilities of their use in the educational process by teaching staff of general secondary education institutions.
 The article presents the results of research on the development of information competence of pedagogical workers. A theoretical analysis of the problem of formation of information culture in the conditions of modern education was carried out. The functions of information competence in the structure of teacher professionalism are defined. Within the framework of the scientific project of NASU “Civil Service Competency Framework” (2018), we have developed a method of studying invariants of professional activity of civil servants. The ability to handle a great deal of information, that is viewed by us as an evolutionarily appropriate necessity, is the basis of personal and professional success in present-day information society. Based on the results of our research, we found that only a third of the subjects have developed the competencies that form the basis of information culture. It has been established that the socio-psychological level of information culture is developed at a low level among all teaching staff, regardless of length of service. The technological level, which is related to the ability to use modern ICT and search and accumulate information, is formed in a larger number of researched subjects, compared to the socio-psychological level.

PHILOSOPHICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROBLEM OF PERSONAL HEALTH IN THE INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL SPACE IN THE CONTEXT OF MASS MEDIA INFLUENCE

The article provides a philosophical understanding of the problem of personal health in the information and educational space in the context of mass media influence. The importance of disclosing the methodological foundations for applying the principles of health philosophy in modern conditions is determined. The interrelation of the problem of personal health in the information and educational space and issues of ethics and morality is revealed. It is proved that with the emergence of new technologies and means of communication, people face challenges and threats associated with the negative impact of the digital environment on their physical and mental health. The problems of education and personal health intersect at the level of the general process of human development in the process of unlocking one’s inner potential. It is proved that achieving health is impossible without the use of self-knowledge, self-observation, and self-control skills in educational practice. The importance of valeology and valeosophy in the formation of a new branch of philosophical knowledge - the philosophy of health - is revealed. The philosophy of health, realized within the modern information and educational space, offers a way of knowing a person through the category of "health", which reveals a person as a conscious, responsible being capable of managing psycho-emotional and physical state. The close connection between personal health, the process of informatization of education and the formation of information culture of educational subjects is revealed. It is proved that the educational aspects of the study of personal health are associated with the formation of its meaningful life priorities, the introduction of an axiological approach to the formation of health at the level of educational practices. The importance of media literacy in the development of information and media culture, health-saving technologies of using electronic media in the educational space as thebasis for the formation of value priorities of the individual in the information and educational space is revealed. The systemic, holistic, personality-oriented, axiological and cultural approaches to understanding the essence of health are revealed. The necessity of personality formation in the unity of spiritual, mental and physical aspects of health is determined.

Cultural Diplomacy and Libraries: the Experience of Russia and Uzbekistan

The authors reveal the role of cultural diplomacy as a tool for the exchange of cultural practices between different states in order to ensure mutual understanding and strengthen international stability. The purpose of the article is to show the example of participation of libraries and Universities in the implementation of the ideas of cultural diplomacy, to fill the gap in highlighting the experience of interaction in this area of Russia and Uzbekistan. The article analyses the experience of promoting the Russian concept of the formation of information culture of individual in Uzbekistan. The article interprets the information culture of individual as the most important factor of successful educational, professional and everyday activities, as well as social security of individual in the conditions of digital transformation of society. The authors characterize cooperation of the Research Institute of Information Technologies of the Social Sphere of the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture with the UNESCO Representative Office in Uzbekistan, the National Library of Uzbekistan named after A. Navoi and other library and educational organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2015—2022. The paper emphasizes the fruitfulness of the implementation of the model of cultural diplomacy based on respect for other cultures, mutual cultural exchange in order to increase cultural wealth and a better understanding of the peculiarities of other states, nations and peoples. The authors formulate the principles that ensure the fruitfulness of such model of cultural diplomacy: interest, passion of the party that perceives others cultural experience, rather than imposing on it the achievements and values of another culture; systematic and consistent building up of contacts, instead of the one-time nature of individual events; adaptation of cultural experience and cultural practices to the traditions of their own culture, rather than mechanical copying of the achievements of another culture; reliance on a wide range of actors, valued participants who play a significant role in the implementation of cultural diplomacy; mutual cultural enrichment, mutual cultural exchange, and not the dictate of traditions and values of one culture.

Barriers to the formation of information culture and improvement of information literacy

Introduction. Prospects for the study of information culture in world science are associated with identifying the causes of information inequality and information poverty, solving the problems of information security and information trust, highlighting points of growth and detecting the negative effects of the development of the information society. The purpose of this study was to find barriers to the development of information culture and study the digital adaptation of older people (of the “silver” and “golden” age) against the backdrop of the COVID-19 crisis. Materials and methods. The survey involved 500 respondents aged “45+” from the Kostroma region (Russian Federation). The survey was conducted in a mixed format using a questionnaire developed by the authors: online survey (published at: http://webanketa.com/forms/6cr3cchh6cqkadb460rp6css/ (100 respondents)), as well as a personal survey method (f2f). Research results. Against the background of adaptation to life in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the surveyed individuals of the silver and golden age revealed the following manifestations of information culture: high coverage of gadget use, in particular, 95.3% of the respondents use a mobile phone, while 63.9% use a desktop computer (whereas only 18.2% think that gadgets distract from more important things). The growth trend of online shopping has been confirmed. More than half of the 45+ respondents in the Kostroma region use the services from the Russian Portal of State Services (59.2%). The vast majority of older respondents (86.3%) support the point of view that it is mandatory to comply with the rules of digital etiquette, and among the respondents of the golden age, the ethical requirements for Internet communication turned out to be more pronounced than among those of the silver age. The problematic areas of digital practices of older people, which increase the subjective barriers to their use, are associated with the search for the necessary, in particular, news information on the Internet (23.7%). Respondents also lack the skills of safe Internet communication (for example, reckless behavior with letters from strangers); 61.6% of the respondents confirmed the desirability and necessity for themselves of digital educational sessions on digital literacy. Conclusion. Based on the literary material, the authors present an analysis of the terms that are in the semantic field of the concept of information culture, it is emphasized that in addition to the technological component of information culture and information literacy, a moral component is important. Against the background of a generally favorable picture of the adaptation of older people to the digital world, a request for educational programs on digital literacy, especially in the field of security, was identified.

TO THE INTERPRETATION OF THE CONCEPT OF “BOOK’ CULTURE” IN THE INTERDISCIPLINARY UKRAINE AND FOREIGN SCIENTIFIC DISCOURSE

The main purpose of scientific research is analytical exploring to consider the interpretation of the concept of “book’ culture” in the interdisciplinary Ukrainian and foreign scientific discourse. For implementation of this task, there are important to consider the main aspects to the interpretation of the concept of “book’ culture”. Such aspects include – theoretical and methodological, historical and practical areas of research. Also, the description of the views of Ukrainian and foreign researchers about the structure and nature of book culture deserves attention. As a system, book culture has the synergistic effect, because this type of culture combines not only the carrier of information, but also transmits values, reflects a certain level to culture of society. In general, there are four main levels of book’ culture – 1) the creation of the book – the combination of information and material components to the codex document in handwritten, printed and typographic way; 2) the preservation of book arrays – the activities of book collections, library institutions for the formation of book culture; 3) the book’ distribution – promotion of reading culture and book culture in general among social groups; 4) rethinking the importance of the book for the formation and translation of cultural values. The book’s culture had become the reason for the formation of information culture. Currently, this type of culture assessed as equal in the system of related cultures – the information culture, the literacy culture and the oral culture. At the same time, the question of defining the relationship between the terms “book’ culture” and “culture of book” are open for scientific discussion. The evolutionary development of book culture for different regions and for different historical periods also requires further research.

Development of information culture as a key attribute of a modern specialist in the process of training future translators

Study aims to investigate and develop directions for the formation of information culture in undergraduate students to improve the effectiveness of the training of future translators. Based on a survey of applicants, translation students, and research and teaching staff working with translation students, the study assesses the current level of development of information culture in future translators. The survey of applicants and translation students focuses on determining their attitude to working with the information they encounter in their studies and daily life and detecting the basic information-processing skills. The primary goal of the survey of teachers is to reveal their attitudes toward the development of information processing skills and the need to pay attention to the development of these skills in teaching their respective disciplines. The study concludes that the current level of development of information culture in future translators calls for systemic work on this field.

Issues of Formation of Information Culture in Youths in the Condition of Globalization

This article discusses issues of formation of information culture in youths in the condition of globalization. It should be noted that the idea without mastering modern knowledge, intellectual potential and advanced technologies, without forming a culture of effective use of information resources and modern means of communication in Uzbekistan no serious economic social, technical problem can be solved. The extent and power of the impact of information factors on the psychology of people requires raising the issues of formation of information culture to the level of a nation-wide problem in the current conditions.
