ANEKA DISRUPSI PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB DI PONDOK PESANTREN

<p style="text-align: justify;"><em>Islamic boarding schools, as traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, play a central role in preserving and promoting Islamic religious and cultural traditions. One of the important elements of education in Islamic boarding schools is the teaching of Arabic. Arabic is not only a means of understanding the teachings of Islam but also a gateway to the rich intellectual heritage of the Islamic world. This qualitative research uses open questionnaires as a data collection technique. The questionnaires were distributed to Arabic teachers in seven Islamic boarding schools in Situbondo. The results cite the strengths of Islamic boarding schools in the form of their long-standing tradition of teaching Arabic and Islamic culture, the presence of knowledgeable teachers, a focus on memorizing the Quran, and a communal learning environment. However, weaknesses in the traditional curriculum may overlook practical aspects such as the use of digital technology in Arabic language learning in the modern world. To improve Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools, it is important to address the practical aspects of the language, maximize opportunities for collaboration and adoption of technology, and address challenges such as cultural and social change and competition from formal educational institutions offering Arabic language instruction.</em></p>

Pelaksanaan Supervisi Akademik Kepala Madrasah dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja dan Mutu Guru

The implementation of education is an effort to improve human resources. Madrasah is also one of the means, because madrasah is a formal educational institution which in the implementation of education requires madrasah personnel to evaluate, supervise and improve the teaching and learning process carried out by teachers requires supervision. This study aims to determine the implementation of academic supervision in improving teacher performance and quality. This research is qualitative research with a type of field research. The techniques used in collecting data in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. While the technique in analyzing data is with three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of data analysis showed that the implementation of academic supervision of the head of the madrasah by visiting directly to class, and sometimes only listening to the course of learning outside the classroom. The results of academic supervision carried out by the head of MTs Negeri 4 Pidie have been running in accordance with existing regulations, including class visits, class observations, inter visitation, personal conversations, and teacher meetings

Efektivitas Artificial Intelligence Text to Speech dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca

As a second international language, Arabic has an existence to be learned by the general public, especially in formal and non-formal educational institutions. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in various aspects of life has brought significant impacts, including in the field of education and learning. One increasingly popular application of AI is Text-to-Speech (TTS), which allows computers to convert written text into audible voice. This study aims to help users understand Arabic text reading, especially for users who cannot read Arabic script. And can be one of the tools or alternatives in the process of learning Arabic to improve reading skills. AI text-to-speech (TTS) can be very useful in improving reading skills. One way that AI TTS can help is in Clear Pronunciation: AI TTS can produce clear and accurate sounds, helping listeners understand words correctly and mimic proper pronunciation.

Mapping, reflecting, and exploring education for the labour movement: a thematic literature review

ABSTRACT This article offers a comprehensive thematic literature review on labour education, exploring the major contributions as well as some of the limits of this scholarship and future directions for researchers. Based on an analysis of 180 English-language publications from the 1960s until today, we find several general trends that we analyse as four broad themes in this literature: the politics of labour education; labour education in, through, and with formal educational institutions; the pedagogy of labour education; and labour education, globalisation, and transnational solidarity. Identifying some of the gaps in the existing scholarship, we propose several future directions for research on labour education: connecting social movement scholarship and the labour education literature; labour education programmes that centre intersectionality, namely themes such as gender justice, anti-racism, and disability; labour education through solidarity with other social movements, such as the environmental movement; and labour education programmes led by different types of labour organisations beyond trade unions. Overall, this article contributes to our understanding of how labour education can strengthen the labour movement, reduce inequality, and promote decent work for all.

An Evaluation by the Class Teachers Instructing the Religious Culture and Ethics Course in Primary Schools of the Teaching and Learning Process

Values instilled in students during the primary school years have a lasting impact on their lives. Among the values that should be taught are religion and ethics, imparted first by families. However, they are taught through the Religious Culture and Ethics (RCE) course during the school years. In the formal educational institutions of our country, RCE education starts in the fourth-grade class of primary school. At schools without subject teachers, the RCE course, scheduled as two hours per week in primary schools, is delivered by class teachers. Based on this situation, the research sought to determine the class teachers' evaluations of the RCE course they teach in primary schools. The research was designed using a phenomenological approach. The research's study group consisted of 30 participants determined by criterion sampling among class teachers working at state schools in Ağrı province and instructing the RCE course in the 2022-2023 academic year. The data were obtained through the structured face-to-face interview, one of the qualitative data collection methods, and analyzed through content analysis. According to the research findings, the participants concurred that the teachers teaching the RCE course should possess pedagogical content and basic religious knowledge. Another finding was that it is essential to use applications and technology to make the RCE course more efficient. It was also found that fourth-grade students struggle to comprehend some abstract religious concepts as they are in the concrete operational period. Moreover, the textbook is insufficient and needs to be simplified in content and language. Consequently, it was discovered that the class teachers instructing this course encountered a number of challenges, yet they had recommendations for enhancing the teaching process.

Islamic Education During the Abbasid Dynasty and the Development of Modern Islamic Education

Education is a teaching and learning process that involves interaction with the surrounding environment. Islamic educational institutions strive to increase students' faith, understanding, appreciation and experience of the Islamic religion, so that they become individuals who believe and are devout in their personal, social, national and state lives. Islamic education has developed since the time of Rasulullah SAW., Khulafaur Rashidin, Bani Umayyah, Bani Abbasiyah, and continues to develop until now. The progress of Islamic education was especially visible during the Abbasid dynasty. This article aims to discuss the concept of Islamic education during the Abbasid Dynasty and the development of modern Islam. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with sources of information from various print and online media regarding this topic. The research results show that Islamic educational institutions during the Abbasid Dynasty can be categorized into three types. First, informal educational institutions such as the ulama's homes. Second, non-formal educational institutions such as kutabs, mosques, bookstores and libraries. Third, formal educational institutions such as madrasas. The many types of educational institutions are in accordance with Islamic teachings which require studying as a form of worship, so that places of study are not limited to just one location.

Kepemimpinan Kiai dalam Menanamkan Nilai-Nilai Moderasi Beragama di Pondok Pesantren At Tahdzib Rejoagung Ngoro Jombang

The emergence of the term religious moderation in Indonesia in recent times is closely related to various phenomena of intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism that occur in Indonesia. Moderation is a life view that always prioritizes the attitude of tolerance and always takes the middle road from two opposing attitudes. Islamic boarding schools are an integral part of the institutions that exist in Indonesia which instill religious values and practices in their students for the advancement of national development. As a subculture rooted in Islamic culture in Indonesia, Education in boarding schools, not only provides educational facilities and practices, but also instills a number of values or norms. One of them is the Islamic boarding school At-Tahdzib Rejoagung in Ngoro district. The Islamic boarding school At-Tahdzib as an educational institution has proven to be quite excellent in producing generations of the nation who have good character. One of the proofs is the large number of alumni of At-Tahdzib pesantren who are trusted by the community to become educators in various formal and non-formal educational institutions. This is certainly inseparable from the role of kiai leadership who are also teachers in the educational process. The role of leadership is an attitude and behavior in influencing human resources, so that they are willing to carry out their duties to achieve organizational goals effectively and efficiently. This study aims to examine the leadership of kiai in instilling the values of religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools. More specifically, this article intends to identify strategies and analyze the influence of kiai leadership in instilling the values of religious moderation at the Islamic boarding school At Tahdzib Ngoro Jombang

MOOCs: Determinants of Enrolment and Completion Rate among Learners of Higher Education Institutions in India

Aims: The advancement and integration of technology in education made a dramatic change in the landscape of the teaching-learning process. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) as one of the emerging trends in education removed the barriers of time, space, and pace throughout the world. Diverse lifelong learners irrespective of social, cultural, economic, age and gender identity are participating in the melting pot of MOOC. This study aimed to explore the present landscape of the participation and completion rate in MOOCs by learners from formal educational institutions in the eastern part of India specifically in West Bengal. The research also aimed to identify the underlying causes of the present landscape.
 Place and Duration of Study: The study was conducted among the learners who enrolled in different programs in different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) during the end of 2023.
 Methodology: A self-administered questionnaire in Google Forms was used to collect data from the learners. A total 298 samples have been collected. Collected data have been analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent samples ‘t’ test, ANOVA using SPSS and MS Excel.
 Results: The study depicted poor enrolment as well as completion rates in MOOCs among the learners. Lack of awareness and huge pressure on the present curriculum were the main factors behind non-enrolment. SWAYAM was the most popular MOOC platform among the students of West Bengal. Attaining knowledge, enhancing skills, and earning certificates were the main intentions of the students who enrolled in MOOCs. Lack of time, affordability, in-person proctored examination, non-cooperation of facilitators, length of courses, and uninteresting discussion forum were the major constraints to completing the MOOCs for the enrolled learners.
 Conclusion: Organizing awareness-building programs, institutional policy framing, and incorporating a credit transfer system into enrolled courses may be emphasized as immediate initiatives for re-thinking the present opportunities and challenges in higher education.

Educational Supervision: Analysis of Learning the Qur'an Tilawati Method at User Institutions in Surabaya

The Al-Qur'an tilawati learning method was developed to facilitate the study of the Al-Qur'an for Muslims. This research intends to examine the implementation of the tilawati technique in 5 Al-Quran learning institutions in Surabaya. This qualitative study employs descriptive approaches to elucidate and characterise supervision practices at five formal educational institutions in Surabaya that utilise the tilawati method. This study employed three data gathering methods: observation, interviews, and field documentation. This research includes data reduction, data display, and verification as part of the data analysis process. The research findings indicated that the Key Performance Area (KPA) was functioning efficiently in SD Khadijah 2 Surabaya, but was not meeting its intended purpose in the other four schools. The learning process does not correspond with the tilawati method. Teachers are inadequately trained to utilise this method. Attendance records, schedules, and achievements are not consistently shared with all teachers. Most classrooms have a layout of benches and tables with parallel shapes. The learning facilities are not fully developed in all elementary schools involved in the study. The tilawati method of learning has been implemented in 5 schools in Surabaya. The impact of implementing the tilawati method in schools is that students are more able to read the Al-Quran well and easily.

Implications of Islamic Activities in Fostering Student Discipline in Schools (Study at SMP N 1 Sukoharjo and SMP N 2 Tawangsari)

Character education to foster discipline needs to be pursued and implicated in formal and non-formal education. School is a formal educational institution that has the authority to shape student character. So that students can be fortified from the bad influence of association that can erode morals and morals. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis, with conclusions drawn using a deductive method that departs from general events and then reduces them to specific parts. The results of this study are; 1) Forms of Islamic activities to foster student discipline which are carried out at SMP N 1 Sukoharjo, namely by carrying out Dhuha prayers, holding outing classes, behaving well, and getting used to smiling, greeting and greetings. The form of Islamic activities at SMP N 2 Tawangsari is carrying out BTA (Reading and Writing the Qur'an) activities independently, independent and joint tahfidz, spiritual Fridays, and 3S habits (smiles, greetings and greetings), dhuha prayers and midday prayers and the third is the habit of reading the kafaratul majlis prayer. 2) The steps for cultivating student discipline to foster discipline are carried out at SMP N 1 Sukoharjo, namely by compiling a disciplinary program and conducting socialization with student guardians. While the steps used by SMP N 2 Tawangsari are by compiling programs to support discipline, conducting socialization with student guardians, getting used to setting a good example to teachers and giving educational punishments to students who violate it. 3) The effectiveness of Islamic activities to foster discipline applied at SMP N 1 Sukoharjo is to have a long lasting impact on future students. Whereas SMP N 2 Tawangsari in carrying out Islamic activities to foster discipline has long-term effectiveness.

The Effect of Quran Memorization on Mathematical Understanding Ability with Pearson Correlation and Linear Regression

The benefit of memorizing the Quran trigger Islamic education mobilizers to integrate Quran memorization activities as one of the compulsory or extracurricular subjects in formal educational institutions.. This study aims to understand the relationship and influence of the Quran memorization index on students' mathematical abilities. The methods used to answer this problem are the Pearson correlation test and the simple linear regression test. Both statistical methods were rigorously reviewed in this study. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between the variable of the Quran memorization index and the mathematical understanding abilities of students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Hasanah Darunnajah 9 with a correlation coefficient of 0.428 which is included in the medium category. In addition, the results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between the Quran memorization index on students' mathematical abilities, where students' mathematical abilities were 18.3% influenced by the Quran memorization index, while the rest were influenced by other factors.

Feedback challenges and strategies in EFL classroom: Insights from non-formal education institution

Feedback has a crucial position in supporting the success of teaching and learning processes in English as Foreign Language (EFL) classroom setting. In addition, research in this essential topic should be conducted continuously. Most research on topic have been done at schools or even universities. Only few studies concentrate in non- formal education institution such as English courses. Therefore, it is reasonable to conduct this study. Employing qualitative research, this study invited eight English teachers at non-formal education institution. The study used interview as the instrument to collect data and thematic content analysis to analyze the data. The findings displayed that the participants faced challenges and having strategies in providing feedback for students. The result revealed that teachers find challenges like inappropriate response from the students and insufficient time to make it happen fully. Then, the strategies implemented to fulfill these challenges are sharing appreciation towards students’ work at the beginning, making a clear follow-up session as well as having a clear information to students, and creating a direct comment to students’ work and also adding some notes. This study will contribute more not only for non-formal education institution but also for formal education in general. Furthermore, other aspects, such as teaching approach as well as the method used may be considered as important to adjust with these findings.

Konsep Membangun Generasi “Tafaqquh Fid Din” di Pesantren Persatuan Islam (Persis) Cikarang Utara Kabupaten Bekasi

Islamic Unity or remembered PERSIS is an Islamic organization according to Deliar Noer above as an Islamic organization that has a modern movement in the educational and social fields. Although the Islamic Union was born on September 12, 1923, it was only around the 1930s that the Islamic Union had a formal educational institution called "Islamic Education" or Pendis. This first education project was spearheaded by Mohammad Natsir (Former Prime Minister of Indonesia). This institution consists of several schools including Kindergarten, HIS (both established in 1930), MULO (1931) and a teacher's school or Kweekschool (1932). In March 1936, the Islamic Union inaugurated another educational institution called Pesantren Persatuan Islam. As the name implies, the educational institution established at the initiative of Ahmad Hassan or better known as A. Hassan is intended to form missionary cadres who spread religion in the midst of society. Research Method used by the author in providing information in accordance with the focus of research through qualitative methods with document review. Document review is considered as document analysis, which consists of books, articles, internet and materials appropriate to the research. As for the ways in which the data is collected. First, through a literature review that is in accordance with the material to be researched. Second, after the data has been obtained by the researcher, then analyze the data through descriptive methods in accordance with the author's understanding in conducting this study. The curriculum structure used by the Islamic Union Islamic Boarding School in North Cikarang can be seen how the portion of religious knowledge is very diverse without eliminating subjects that are commonly studied in other schools. This is one way this pesantren wants to produce a generation that is tafaqquh fid din in providing subject matter that prioritizes the basics of Islamic science. The responsibility of pesantren is very heavy, covering many aspects, religious responsibility and being able to master Islamic science "Tafaqquh Fid din" as well as the development of Islamic civilization and adorn themselves with "akhlak al-karimah". Therefore, the Islamic Union Pesantren, one of the educational institutions has a great responsibility to implement all of it, namely producing a generation that they not only understand Islamic religious science but also have good morals in the midst of society.

PENERAPAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL PADA MATERI PENJUMLAHAN KELAS 2 DI SDN 3 WONOBOYO

Mathematics as a field of study taught in formal education institutions is an important part of efforts to improve the quality of education. Media is a tool for conveying internal information about the learning process, use of media, learning objectives that are expected to be more easily achieved compared to what was planned to be achieved previously. Audiovisual media is media that contains sound components and audio images. The type of research used is a qualitative research method. Here the researcher used a direct survey to make observations by interviewing one of the teachers by asking several questions regarding video-based audio-visual media for teaching mathematics for class 2 addition material at SDN 3 Wonoboyo so that the researcher could immediately get precise and accurate information. results. answers and results. By applying audio-visual media to class 2 addition material at SDN 3 Wonoboyo, it is able to increase students' enthusiasm for learning mathematics. Apart from that, the application of audio-visual media in addition to material can improve student learning outcomes.

Health literacy is emerging as an important public health issue in the 21st century. Strengthening people's health literacy is the only and most powerful way to not only improve the health and wellness of each individual, but also to solve the problem of health inequality caused by social and economic disparities and the problem of rapidly increasing medical costs as the population ages. However, research on health literacy is still insufficient in Korea, and in particular, there is little research on practical measures to improve health literacy in adults.
 Lifestyle medicine, which has emerged as a fundamental solution to prevent and treat chronic diseases, which are called diseases of the 21st century, has already systematized the knowledge and technology of health literacy, so if a route to disseminate this is secured, projects to promote national health literacy can be carried out quickly.
 This study examines the definition and significance of health literacy and the background of the emergence of lifestyle medicine and its effects, then explores specific routes for implementing national health literacy education centered on lifestyle medicine, with online universities and religious facilities as the promising routes proposed.
 Since health literacy education must be conducted as part of lifelong education, formal educational institutions, social welfare facilities, religious facilities, workplaces, etc. can all serve as sites for health literacy education and practice. In particular, online universities are expected to play the most central role in many aspects, including their purpose, capability for content development, and operating system. Religious facilities are also social capital that can make a significant contribution as a center of health literacy education and mutual care in regional communities.

Wellness Tourism Development Strategy In Madura Based on Local Wisdom

Wellness tourism is a new niche in the global tourism industry that has high opportunities for product development. It is this local wisdom that underlies their daily cultural behavior that has great potential in the development of wellness tourism in Madura, even though it has to deal with the challenge of Madurese stereotypes for outside communities. This background underlies the importance of designing wellness tourism strategies based on local wisdom in Madura. This study used constructivist qualitative research methods. The determination of this strategy is adjusted to the research objectives that will build a model of health tourism development strategy based on local wisdom in Madura. Observations will be made on Madurese people in the Bangkalan and Sampang regions. The location selection was carried out by considering the socio-cultural characteristics of the Madurese people who have great tourism potential. The result of this study is that Madura has various types of tourism. If associated with the concept of wellness tourism, this potential can be explored deeper with the help of the theory of cultural commodification and become a potential new tourism commodity network called "wellness tourism based on local wisdom." Wellness Tourism can be a model of tourism development strategy that can drive the local economy in the Bangkalan Madura region. The potential of the Madurese people in an effort to increase new tourism, especially wellness tourism, requires efforts to diversify products. This is also a cultural commodification in an effort to strengthen Madura's potential as a wellness tourism destination; product diversification of Madura's resource potential; Strengthening Local Wisdom Education through Non-Formal and Formal Education Institutions. And policy collaboration with the Tourism Office, cooperatives, and village governments is needed.

Wage heterogeneity in the graduate market: Industry and public-private differences in Chile

Lifelong education has proven to be a significant challenge in the policy arena. The combination of formal education and labor-centered institutions has pressed the development of different mechanisms to understand the role of human capital accumulation in socioeconomic mobility and organizational performance. While the narratives of lifelong education have primed labor and educational studies across developed economies, in the case of developing economies, those logics appear contested by development economics conditions. In this paper, I use the context of the expansion of the graduate educational market and its policy reforms to analyze how a developing economy copes with a change in the availability of a highly educated workforce. Using panel and pseudo-panel data, I examine the evolution of educational returns for the graduate workforce in Chile between 1990 and 2018, considering the differences between industries and public and private sectors. The results point out that there are no public-private differences and high heterogeneity across economic sectors. The policy- and individual-level consequences are discussed.

Strong Madrasah Education Management Strategy To Improve The Quality of Education In MTsn 2 Malang City

Madrasah is a formal educational institution that has an important role in educating the nation's life. The quality of madrasa education needs to be continuously improved so that madrasas can play an optimal role in educating the nation's life. One effort that can be made to improve the quality of madrasa education is to implement strong madrasa education management. The aim of this research is to determine a strong madrasa education management strategy to improve the quality of education at MTSN 2 Malang City. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out using literature study and observation. The collected data is then analyzed in three stages, namely reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that strong madrasa education management is an important step in improving the quality of madrasa education. This step is carried out by implementing a good work ethic and performance, so that it can fulfill the mandate of Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. Apart from that, education management strategies can be implemented through implementing Allah SWT's command to print 'ulul albab' and Rasulullah SAW's command "thalabul ilmi faidhatun ala kullu muslimin wal muslimat." Thus, education or tarbiyah is directed at producing good student graduates, who are based on morals and have the main benchmarks, namely the Koran and hadith, not just ethics and morals.

Study of ``Merdeka Belajar'' Curriculum for Cultivating Student Character: Evidence from Indonesia

The curriculum is a tool that will never be separated from the educational process. In Indonesia, there have been several curriculum changes to support the implementation of education to run smoothly, and curriculum improvements in supporting the learning process have been carried out until now. The last curriculum improvement was carried out in 2020 under the name “Merdeka Belajar”, and its implementation was carried out in stages. In order to find out the effectiveness of the implementation of this curriculum in formal educational institutions, this study focuses on highlighting Merdeka Belajar curriculum to bring out the characters in students for independent learning. To solve this problem, the researcher used qualitative research methods with case study techniques, while the data collection method used were observation in the form of non participatory observations and interviews. The results of the study stated that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum has not been fully implemented, and still limited to Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) so it was categorized as a school “Mandiri Belajar”.

Policy In Developing Character Values In Indonesia

Character value is an important asset for the Indonesian nation. Strong character values can form a society that is noble, tolerant, and democratic. The development of character values in Indonesia has been a concern of the government for a long time. This study aims to examine policies in the development of character values in Indonesia, especially Purwakarta Regency, West Java. This research uses qualitative research methods. The data collection technique in this research was carried out by literature study obtained from Google Schoolar. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results show that the procedures for developing character values in Purwakarta Regency are regulated in Regent Regulation number 69 of 2015 concerning character education. This regulation not only outlines the process of teaching and learning activities, but also provides guidance to teachers, especially homeroom teachers, to monitor the character of students inside and outside the classroom. The implementation of the policy is done by utilizing local wisdom in Purwakarta district, which is applied through formal education institutions with a structured special seven-day program. This program succeeds in shaping students' character and improving students' life skills.
