Hegemoni Kekuasaan Pada Novel “Si Putih” Karya Tere Liye (Teori Gramsci)

This study aims to examine the form of hegemony of power contained in the novel "Si Putih" by Tere Liye. This research uses Gramsci's Hegemony theory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literary research approach with literature study data collection techniques, reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The data source of this research comes from the novel "Si Putih" by Tere Liye published in 2021 by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in the form of phrases, sentences or paragraphs contained in the novel. The results of this study describe the form of hegemony of power in the story towards the end of the novel "Si Putih" in one of the characters, namely the King of Mount Timur. The form of hegemony of power he exercised was to subjugate the Animal Controller to submit under his rule. In addition, the Eastern Mountain King's form of hegemony is shown by utilizing the power he has, by releasing the virus to modern cities so that his goal of revenge is achieved.

An acoustic study of Jonglish Communiy: Javanese-accented speech

People who speak English with a Javanese accent are referred to as Jonglish (Jowo-English) speakers. They end their sentences in a high tone, therefore, the aims of this study were to compare the intensity and pitch of Javanese accent speakers (specifically from Pekalongan, Semarang, and Pati) with native speakers. The focus was on investigating whether the high tone at the end of sentences affects the engaging nature of the conversation. It employed descriptive qualitative design and included data collection, acoustic analysis, perception analysis, linguistic analysis, and interpretation. The data were collected by audio recording in the form of sentences. Praat, a voice analysis, was utilized to analyze the data. The findings demonstrated that Pekalongan and Semarang speakers had higher pitch than native speaker (232.25 Hz and 206.27 Hz). Meanwhile, the pitch score for Pati was lower than native; 192.04 Hz. On the other hand, the intensity from those regions were lower than native speaker; 69.58 dB, 61.51 dB, and 68.203 dB, while the of native speaker was 71.306 dB. The fact that the Jonglish includes a tendency to end sentences with a high tone suggests a particular intonation pattern. Despite these variations, effective communication often relies on contextual cues and the listeners ability to adapt to different speech patterns. The study has the potential to make meaningful contributions to English pronunciation instruction, cultural awareness, and effective cross-cultural communication. The outcomes of the research can inform pedagogical practices and support the broader goal of promoting linguistic diversity in English language education.

BERPIKIR KRITIS-KREATIF SEBAGAI DIMENSI PROFIL PELAJAR PANCASILA PADA BUKU BAHASA INDONESIA KELAS VII KURIKULUM MERDEKA

Critical-creative thinking is a dimension of the Pancasila student profile that needs to be improved and applied to students so that they are able to face various problems that will be faced and are able to produce original and innovative ideas and works. This research aims to find out and describe the elements of critical-creative thinking contained in the Indonesian Language Book for Class VII Merdeka Curriculum and how these elements are presented therein. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data in this research are in the form of phrases and sentences that show the critical-creative thinking dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The data source in this research is a class VII middle school Indonesian language book. The results of the research show that all the critical-creative thinking elements of the Pancasila student profile are contained in the Indonesian Middle School class VII book. The elements of critical-creative thinking are all presented verbally through stories/reading texts, learning materials, and questions/challenges.

NL2SQL For Chatbot with Semantic Parsing Using Rule-Based Methods

Structured Query Language (SQL) is a command language that allows users to access database information. Ordinary people generally donot know how to make queries with SQL to a database. The chatbot is acomputer program developed to interact with its users via text or voice. In this study, chatbots were developed to help and facilitate users intheNatural Language to Structured Query Language (NL2SQL) process tosearch for information in an Academic Information Systemdatabasewith semantic parsing using a rule-based method that accepts input inthe form of interrogative sentences or order. In the Natural Language toStructured Query Language (NL2SQL) process several problems arise, namely input problems with unique parameters for the knowledge base, and slow searching or translation processes, which make Natural Language to Structured Query Language (NL2SQL) inef icient, problems This problem will be solved using a semantic parsingapproach using a rule-based method that is proven to be ef icient insolving issues such as the Natural Language to Structured QueryLanguage (NL2SQL) process. The results showed that the semanticparsing approach using the rule-based method succeeded in obtainingan accuracy rate of 96.72% using 122 test data in the formof questionsentences or command data about the Academic Information Systemof the Department of Informatics Engineering, Sriwijaya University inIndonesian, and an average execution time of 50.68 milliseconds. seconds or 0.05 seconds.

This research aims to describe the phenomenon of word processing which has socio-cultural meaning. This type of research is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research used to obtain more in-depth data, namely data that contains meaning. The meaning in question is the actual data in the form of words, sentences and discourse. The data in this research are words, phrases, sentences written by social media users which imply socio-cultural meaning. Data collection techniques in this research are library techniques and note-taking techniques. Library technique is a data collection technique by examining books and journal articles that are related to the problem being solved. The note technique is a technique for noting several forms that are relevant for research on written language use. The data analysis technique in research is descriptive analysis through the steps of identifying data, classifying data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. As a result of this research, the researcher found five examples of socio-cultural words, including: 1) Black skin, curly hair, I'm Papuan Bae sonde bae land of Timor lebe bae 3) Jogja is special, the country is special, the people are special, Bali Island Attractive Gods, Ama Mawolo, Ina Marawi.

Islamic Career Guidance for Academic Procrastination Behavior of Students at Muhammadiyah University Enrekang Class of 2017

Academic procrastination such as tending to postpone assignments and not being able to manage time well so as to delay or complete the assignments given. The aim of the research is to determine student procrastination behavior and service patterns towards these students. Method used namely a qualitative field approach (field research). Data collection techniques are through interviews and observation. The results of the research show that the academic procrastination behavior found was: Being late for class, postponing carrying out assignments given by the lecturer in charge of the course, carrying out other activities and permission to study in class, attendance not being optimal, and also being too engrossed in the organizational world so that it is threatened DO. Then to the procrastination is provided with Islamic career guidance services which include recognizing one's potential. where in each session they are guided to make a live proposal. The live proposal will determine when, where and how the career will be achieved. Then doing Affirmations is intended to help students create positive sentences written in "life proposals". The positive sentences are in the form of encouraging sentences. The sentences are short so they are easy and easy to remember. Like I learn from every experience and become wiser every day. I am a source of inspiration for my peers. I deserve to be happy with a more meaningful life, according to the instructions of the Al-Qur'an and Hadith.

KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA TERHADAP HUBUNGAN KEKERABATAN MASYARAKAT BAROMBONG KOTA MAKASSAR

The aim of this research is to describe forms of politeness and forms of politeness violations in the Makassar language towards kinship relations in the Barombong community of Makassar City. This type of research is qualitative research. Data was collected through the method of listening, being involved, taking notes and recording. This research data is in the form of words, phrases and sentences. The data source for this research is the speech of parents and children. Data analysis was carried out by researching transcription of data recorded during conversations in the field. The next process was data reduction, analyzing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is obtained from the triangulation process using the triangulation technique of methods, data sources, observers and theory. The results of the research show that the principles of politeness in language are in the form of (1) maxim of wisdom (2) maxim of acceptance, (3) maxim of praise, (4) maxim of humility, (5) maxim of agreement and (6) maxim of sympathy. Konflik Sosial dalam novel Terusir karya Hamka

This research aims to describe: (1) the form of social conflict in the novel Terusir by Hamka,(2) the causes of social conflict in the novel Terusir by Hamka,(3) the impact of social conflict in the novel Terusir by Hamka. The object used in this research is the novel Terusir by Hamka, the first printed edition published by Gema Insani in 2016. The type of research used is literary research using descriptive methods. The data in this research are in the form of words, phrases, clauses and sentences that describe social conflict in the form of the narrator's narration about the characters, the characters' speeches, the characters' actions depicted in the setting of the novel Terusir by Hamka. The data collection techniques in this research are reading and understanding the novel, identifying the main character, recording data related to the research problem, and inventorying the data into an inventory format related to the novel Terusir by Hamka. Data analysis techniques include identifying and classifying data, interpreting data, concluding the results of data analysis, and reporting the results of data analysis in the form of a thesis. Based on data analysis, the following forms of social conflict were found in the novel Terusir by Hamka, namely (1) ersonal conflict, (2) group or family conflict, (3)conflict in society. The causes of social conflict are, (1) differences between individuals, (2) differences in social class, (3) differences in interests, (4) social change. The impact of social conflict is in the form of, (1) destruction of group unity, (2) changes in social personality, (3) destruction of norms and social values.

PIVOT SYSTEM IN ARABIC COORDINATION SENTENCE: A SYNTACTIC TYPOLOGY STUDY

Coordination sentences are those that operate effectively in both written and spoken discourse. The pivot system will discuss the Arabic coordination sentence in this research. This study aimed to highlight the syntactic typology and pivot system of the Arabic coordination sentence. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive and content analysis methods. This data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman method. The data were obtained from the form of coordination sentences found in Arabic books and other sources that are considered relevant. The result showed that the Arabic coordinating sentences are formed by four types, namely (1) intransitive-intransitive, (2) intransitive-transitive, (3) transitive-intransitive, and (4) transitive-transitive. Eliminating FN for A and P in Arabic coordinating sentences differs from dropping FN for A and P in English and Arabic coordinating sentences. However, based on the syntactic constructions with indefinite verbs, Arabic grammar is the same as English and Indonesian. The findings of this study contribute insight and treasure to the wealth of science in syntactic typology.

Nilai-Nilai Moral dalam Novel Heartbreak Motel karya Ika Natassa

This research aims to describe the depiction of moral values in the novel Heartbreak Motel by Ika Natassa. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with data in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences containing moral values in the novel. The results show that there are 68 data containing moral values which are divided into three categories: first, moral values that relate between humans and themselves: surrendering to God, praying, recognizing God's greatness, gratitude, and obedience. Second, moral values that relate between humans and other humans: caring for others, helping, thanking, respecting others, giving advice, and forgiveness. Third, moral values that relate between humans and God: surrendering to God, praying, recognizing God's greatness, gratitude, and obedience. The conclusion of this study is that the novel Heartbreak Motel by Ika Natassa contains moral values that can be emulated by readers.

AbstractAlthough various works on African American English (AAE) offer significant and insightful analyses of the semantic interpretation of its aspectual elements, including in particular stressed remote past BIN and habitual be (behab), the syntactic analysis of these elements is problematic. BIN and behab are claimed to be invariant lexical elements with fixed semantic values, and to not interact with INFL (Tense) as auxiliaries do, thus not displaying subject–verb agreement or undergoing any operations typical of finite auxiliaries. However, considerations including syntactic positioning, accompanying auxiliaries, patterns of verb affixation, and the formation of active and passive sentences point instead to BIN and behab being in most instances phonetic manifestations of any of the various ordinary auxiliary verbs be (progressive, passive, and copular), elements of the system of auxiliaries common to both AAE and Mainstream American English (MAE). The surface forms BIN and be are sufficient to trigger their special meanings in logical representation. Semantically dedicated lexical elements are unnecessary. The various interpretations of sentences containing these forms are due to constructional semantic interpretation of various combinations of surface elements. This analysis further reveals the existence of another AAE innovation, a fourth auxiliary verb be unique to AAE indicating simple past.

This thesis is entitledTeachers and the Effectiveness of Sociology Learning. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Researchers explore the phenomena that occur in the field, then describe in the form of words and sentences. The methods used by researchers in collecting data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research conducted in the field show that clinical supervision in improving teacher performance has shown good results. Although there are some drawbacks. Clinical supervision atSMA Negeri 1 Menjalin is more dependent on teacher readiness. The supervisor who supervises the teachers is the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Menjalin. Clinical supervision at SMAN 1 Menjalin has several stages including initial preparation, initial meeting, observation. Teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Menjalin have met professional teacher standard switch have fulfilled four competencies including pedagogic competence, personal competence, professional competence and social competence. In improving these competencies, especially for the new teachers in SMAN 1 Menjalin, one way is through clinical supervision. The improvement felt by teachers who have carried out clinical supervision is increased performance and increased learning effectiveness, which can be seen from the very varied methods used, being able to manage classes well, being able to know and understand the character of each student well and being able to make participants students are active in learning.

ANALISIS FAKTOR STRES PADA KINERJA SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA

Stress is a phenomenon experienced due to the internal pressure within individuals. The purpose of this journal is to provide a description of stress management among employees. The methodology employed in this journal utilizes a qualitative approach, collecting data in the form of words, sentences, or phrases. The data gathered is secondary data obtained by the author from relevant books, journals, or research articles. The research indicates that stress arises from various factors, whether environmental, organizational, or individual, ultimately leading to a decrease in employee work productivity. Failure to manage stress properly can exacerbate the situation. In conclusion, this paper emphasizes the need for appropriate stress management for individuals experiencing stressful conditions. By doing so, their situation can be controlled, enabling employees to enhance their work productivit. The dynamics of stress in the workplace can have both positive and negative impacts, not only being a stimulus for workers to feel more enthusiastic and motivated, but can also cause a decrease in productivity and various health problems if not managed properly. Stress management is essential in maintaining a healthy work environment and ensuring employee well-being.

Language Acquisition of Declarative and Imperative Sentences in five-year-old Children

This study aims to describe the language acquisition of a five-year-old child. This research focuses on declarative and imperative sentence forms, using a descriptive qualitative approach with recording techniques. The analysis results show that the syntactic acquisition in declarative sentences has four forms, and imperative has five. The category of language acquisition at the syntactic level is good enough because there is minimal deviation from the form of speech produced. In summary, five-year-old children will likely use declarative and imperative sentences as they develop their language skills. They may start to use declarative sentences more naturally to convey information and use imperative sentences to express commands or requests, although their usage of these sentence types may vary in complexity and grammatical accuracy. Shortly, the results showed that children's utterances dominate in imperative sentences.

Implementasi Tradisi Wirid Yasin (Yasinan) di Desa Kota Bangun Sebagai Kajian Living Al-Qur’an

This study aims to find out what is the basis for Kota Bangun Village to carry out this routine activity. Can it be said as an effort to revive the Qur'an or not. The results of this journal are that the implementation of Yasin’s wirid activities which are carried out every Friday night in Kota Bangun village includes efforts to revive the Qur’an among the local communicaty. This is also called the study of living Al-Qur’an. This study uses a cumulative research method, which is a study that focuses on observations that produce data in the form of sentences and words and seeks to explain and interpret the objects of observation according to the data produced. Based on the results of the data, it was stated that the Yasin wirid activity was carried out to spread the religion of Islam, as a means of inviting residents to goodness, getting closer to Allah, and establishing friendship between residents of Kota Bangun Village. This activity was also carried out on the basis of several hadiths which predict the reading of Yasin's letter on Friday nights. Even though these hadiths are weak in quality, there is nothing wrong with being used as a basis for doing something good.

Stilistika dalam Geguritan Kidung Wengi Karya Hadi Pamungkas

This writing is intended to investigate the style of the language contained in the geguritan Kidung Wengi by Hadi Pamungkas using a stylistic scalpel. This writing uses a research lens that focuses on the object of study regarding the style of language, imagery, and typography used. The method used by the author in examining this geguritan is to use a qualitative descriptive method with the technique of collecting physical evidence in the form of words, phrases, and sentences in the geguritan containing the focus of the writing objective. Based on the research that has been done, the results obtained in the form of finding figure of speech, imagery, diction, and typography that are used to describe a situation as well as tools to beautify the language of geguritan. In this geguritan found images such as visual images, auditory images, motion images, and tactile images. There are also figures of speech found in Kidung Wengi's geguritan, including personification, metaphor, and hyperbole. This Gegutitan also contains dictions in its writing. In addition, in writing this geguritan the author also includes typography which is a writing technique related to the use of writing rules and the use of punctuation marks.

Analysis of Factors Affecting Speaking Skills During Semester 2 Student Learning Process BK FIP Study Program PGRI University Semarang

The low speaking skills possessed by students such as, insecurity and nervousness when dealing with many people, this makes students stammer so that they often say the word "a../e..". Some students will divert nervousness by moving their hands / feet, some are staring at the corners of the room. Then the lack of mastery of the material is also a factor in students not being confident and nervou. This type of research uses qualitative research with a case study method. Data collection used are interview guidelines, questionnaires and documentation. Then the data that has been obtained is analyzed through the stages of four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing, which is then presented in the form of descriptions in sentence form regarding the discovery of the meaning of each phenomenon.Based on the results of the data analysis, there are several factors that influence students' speaking skills, namely a reasonable attitude, calm and not rigid, the gaze must be directed to the interlocutor, willingness to respect other people's opinions, appropriate gestures and mimics, fluency, relevance / reasoning and mastery of the topic. Then there are still many students who have not been able to master these skills. Key Words: speaking skills, learning process.

CODE MIXING AND CODE SWITCHING USED BY THE CHARACTERS IN THE WEB SERIES “LAYANGAN PUTUS”

This research was aimed at : (1) To find out the types of code mixing and code switching used in the Indonesian web series entitled “Layangan Putus” and (2) To find out the reasons of code mixing and code switching used in the Indonesian web series entitled “Layangan Putus”. This method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, which describes and analyzes the utterances consisting of code mixing and code switching along with the reasons taken from “Layangan Putus” series. The technique of collecting data in this research used non-participant observation and documentation which are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. To analyze the data, the researcher used qualitative data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman. The result of this research showed that there were: 170 utterances of code mixing, 246 utterances of code switching, and 74 utterances of reasons used by the characters. Those 170 utterances of code mixing, it had 95 of insertion, 44 utterances of alternation, and 31 utterances of congruent lexicalization. Those 246 utterances of code switching, it had 17 utterances of tag-switching, 173 utterances of intra-sentential switching, and 56 utterances of inter-sentential switching. Those 74 utterances of the reasons, it had 34 utterances of talking about particular topic, 9 utterances of be emphatic about something, 8 utterances of interjection, 9 utterances of repetition used for clarification, and 14 utterances of intention of clarifying the speech content for interlocutor. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that insertion type in code mixing, intra-sentential type in code switching, and talking about particular topic were the most dominant used by the characters in “Layangan Putus” series. 'We are all in the same boat': a qualitative cross-sectional analysis of COVID-19 pandemic imagery in scientific literature and its use for people working in the German healthcare sector.

The COVID-19 pandemic presents a significant challenge to professional responders in healthcare settings. This is reflected in the language used to describe the pandemic in the professional literature of the respective professions. The aim of this multidisciplinary study was to analyze the linguistic imagery in the relevant professional literature and to determine the identification of different professional groups with it and its emotional effects. A list of 14 typical, widespread and differing imageries for COVID-19 in form of single sentences (e.g., "Until the pandemic is over, we can only run on sight.") were presented to 1,795 healthcare professionals in an online survey. The imageries had been extracted from a qualitative search in more than 3,500 international professional journals in medicine, psychology and theology. Ratings of agreement with these imageries and feelings about them were subjected to factor analysis. Based on the list of imageries presented, it was possible to identify three factors for high/low agreement by experiences, and two factors for high/low induced feelings. Broad agreement emerged for imageries on "fight against the crisis" and "lessons learned from the crisis", while imageries on "acceptance of uncontrollability" tended to be rejected. Imageries of "challenges" tended to lead to a sense of empowerment among subjects, while imageries of "humility" tended to lead to a sense of helplessness. Based on the qualitative and subsequential quantitative analysis, several factors for imageries for the COVID-19 pandemic were identified that have been used in the literature. Agreement with imageries is mixed, as is the assessment of how helpful they are.

Illocutionary Acts of Elon Musk at Ted Talk 2022

Every utterance produced by a speaker has its own type and function. However, this research focuses on illocutionary speech acts. This research aims to describe the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts in the conversation between Elon Musk and the moderator at TED Talk 2022 and describe the function of these speech acts. This data is in the form of sentences and clauses in conversations between Elon Musk and Chris Anderson which contain illocutionary acts. The data source was collected through observation methods using transcribing and note-taking techniques by watching and listening to video to know the context. The data is analyzed qualitatively using the theory proposed by Searle to study various types of illocutionary acts, followed by the theory proposed by Leech regarding the functions of illocutionary acts. The data analysis method used in this study is constant comparative or often called the equivalent method. The problems in this research are (1) What speech acts are contained in the conversation between Elon Musk and the moderator and (2) What is the function of each utterance. The results show that there are 4 types of speech acts in the conversation between Elon Musk and the moderator, namely (1) Assertive, (2) Directive, (3) Commissive, and (4) Expressive. Based on the function of illocutionary speech, two functions are obtained, namely (1) Collaborative function and (2) Convival function. The researcher suggests that further research needs to be carried out to understand illocutionary acts in conversation to be able to provide information and it is also necessary to pay attention to the context and situation to understand the meaning.
