The main problem in this research is the form of code switching and code mixing between sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district. This research aims to describe the forms of code switching and code mixing from Makassar language to Bugis language of sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district. This type of research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research design. The subjects in this research were sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district. The data in this research is in the form of oral data in the form of words, clauses and sentences containing code switching and code mixing from Makassar language to Bugis language sourced from sources, namely sellers and buyers at the Pa'jukukang fish auction, Bantaeng district, which was taken while the conversation process was in progress. Data collection was carried out using recording, listening and note-taking techniques. The results of this research show that there are three forms of code switching at the Bantaeng district fish auction, namely inter-sentence consisting of three data, intra-sentence consisting of three data, and code switching in tags consisting of three data. There are two forms of code mixing, namely the insertion of elements in the form of words consisting of three data and the insertion of elements in the form of phrases consisting of three data.

Analisis Campur Kode Bahasa Batak Pada Saat Pembelajaran di Kelas X SMA YAPIM Merek Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024

The research was carried out with the title "Analysis of Batak Language Code Mixing When Learning Indonesian in Class The use of code mixing is the Batak regional language. The aim of this research is to determine the main causes of the use of code mixing during learning. This research methodology is a qualitative descriptive method. Data was obtained from class X students of YAPIM Brand High School and the results of interviews from Indonesian language teachers. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing, recording and taking notes. The results of this research are forms of code mixing in teacher and student conversations in Indonesian language learning in class X SMA YAPIM Brand, namely: a. Use of Toba Batak language code mixing, b. There are 76 code-mixed data, the forms of code-mixing use are 13 code-mixes of word insertion, 17 phrase insertions, 46 clause insertions, word and sentence insertions. Factors causing code mixing are: a. Students' proficiency in speaking two languages, including the Toba Batak regional language and Indonesian, b. Social environment, c. Contextual situation. However, Indonesian language interference is not eliminated by the presence of the regional language, it's just that students sometimes focus more on using the regional language instead of being in context when speaking with fellow students.

Campur Kode Komunikasi Jual Beli dalam Grup WhatsApp E-Commerce Perguruan Tinggi

The purpose of this research is to determine the forms of code mixing and the factors causing it in the Whatsapp group of E-Commerce Campus, the family of lecturers, and the academic community of STAIN Mandailing Natal. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The primary data collection technique involves documentation, which entails collecting chat messages in the Whatsapp group for 24 days, from March 6, 2024, to March 29, 2024. Meanwhile, secondary data consists of books and scholarly articles related to the research title. The data analysis technique utilizes Milles and Huberman's theory, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results reveal the forms of code mixing in the Whatsapp group of E-Commerce Campus, comprising 28 word forms and 28 phrase forms. The factors causing code mixing are multilingual ability, educational background, diverse regional backgrounds, and the tendency to follow trends in buying and selling, often using English terms such as "ready," "order," and others.

Code Mixing Phenomena in Vietnam Online Newspapers

Along with the development of society, based on the internet platform, in addition to other types of written and visual newspapers, online newspapers were born, allowing people around the world to quickly access news without delay depends on space and time. To attract readers, the language of online newspapers is also increasingly being innovated to meet readers' tastes. Code mixing is a fairly common phenomenon in online newspapers, giving readers interesting impressions. Therefore, the article "Code mixing phenomena in Vietnam online newspapers” will survey the forms of code mixing in languages in Vietnamese online newspapers, thereby providing comprehensive assessments of this phenomenon on the Internet journalistic language in particular and communication in general.

Code Mixing in the Lyrics of the Song “You Never Know” by Blackpink

This research was a study of language code mixing contained in the lyrics of a song titled “You Never Know” by Blackpink. This study aimed to identify the forms of code mixing contained in the lyrics of the song you never know by black pink, identify the types of code mixing used in the song lyrics, and describe the source language of the code mixing contained in the lyrics of the song. The method used in this study was content analysis, which was a qualitatively oriented technique, usually used to determine the character of documents or to compare them. The conclusion obtained from this study was the forms of code mixing contained in the lyrics of the song You Never Know by Blackpink consisting of inserting words, phrases and clauses. Code mixing in the form of words totaling 8 data, phrases totaling 20 data and clauses totaling 10 data. The type of code mixing used in the lyrics of the song you never know by Blackpink was alternation code mixing. The outer code mixing used was 8 data. The source language contained in the lyrics of the song You Never Know by Blackpink came from English and Korean. The code-mixed from English language was 26 data and Korean was 44 data. Through this research, it can be suggested that further researchers can be developed with the theory of code switching which is closely related to code switching.

Analisis Penggunaan Campur Kode Indonesia-Inggris pada Video Iklan Produk Kecantikan Lokal

This research aims to describe and explain the types and forms of Indonesian-English code mixing used in advertising videos. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data used in this research are advertising videos on YouTube, especially advertising videos for local beauty products such as Make Over, Avoskin, Emina, Azarine, and Wardah. By watching videos advertising local beauty products on YouTube, researchers then analyzed the types and forms of code mixing used in advertisements. The research results show that the type of code mixing used in advertising videos for local beauty products is Outer Code Mixing. Of the total of 15 advertising videos that we analyzed, there were 50 uses of Indonesian-English code mixing. The forms of code mixing used are Intra sentential code mixing, Intra-lexical code mixing, and Involving a change of pronunciation.

Code-Mixing As a Communicative Strategy Among International Passengers and Employees in Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar

The use of English in service operations is very necessary in communicating with service users who not only come from Indonesia but also from abroad. Therefore, the use of English is very important in-service operations at the airport. This research aims to analyze code mixing as a communication strategy among passengers and employees at Hasanuddin International Airport. The design of this research was qualitative research. It is called collaborative qualitative because the research directly involves employees and international passengers as respondents. The research results show that there are three types of code mixing, namely alternation, congruence, and lexicalization. Respondents participated in interviews, which yielded information about the variables that influence the use of code mixing in textual communication regarding code mixing as a communication strategy between employees and international passengers. There are seven factors that cause code mixing, namely (1) lack of mastery, especially mastery of English, (2) intention to increase prestige, (3) wanting to show off one's skills, (4) searching for identity, (5) habits, (6) want to joke (make jokes) and (7) relaxed conversation situation (formality). It can be concluded that this research identifies three forms of code mixing, namely substitution, congruence and lexicalization and this is influenced by several factors in the occurrence of code mixing among employees and international passengers

Code Switching and Code Mixing in the “Induk Gajah” Movie: Sociolinguistic Study

This research is entitled "Code Switching and Code Mixing in the Induk Gajah Movie - Sociolinguistic Study." This research aims to describe the forms of code switching and code mixing, the factors causing code switching and code mixing as well as the function of code switching and code mixing contained in the film Parent Gajah. The theory used in this research is the sociolinguistic theory put forward by Soewito, using qualitative descriptive methods and using listening and note-taking techniques. The research results show that there are two forms of code switching, namely internal code switching and external code switching. The forms of code mixing are divided into code mixing in the form of words, code mixing in the form of baster, code mixing in the form of phrases, code mixing in the form of clauses and code mixing in the form of reduplication/repetition. The function of code switching and code mixing is to emphasize or convince something, to familiarize/relax the conversation, to evoke a sense of humor. Code Switching and Code Mixing: An Analysis in Boy William’s Reality Show ‘The Family’

This study aims to identify and analyze the types of code switching and code mixing between Indonesian and English in Boy William’s speech. The analysis utilizes Macswan's code switching and Musyken's code mixing theories to examine two episodes of 'The Family' reality show on the BW YouTube channel. Direct observation involving transcribing and taking notes on videotaped utterances was applied to analyze code switching and code mixing. The research findings indicated that Intra-sentential code switching was the predominant form of code switching observed in Boy William's speech. He regularly switched languages from English to Indonesian in one sentence to another, and vice versa. Nonetheless, alternation was the predominant form of code mixing that appeared. The phenomena of Indonesian-English in Boy William's speech is recognised as a consequence of conscious choice to embrace a bilingual identity in contemporary life. This study presents an analysis of code switching and code mixing in an Indonesian influencer who comes from a multicultural family. This study is limited to an oriental bilingual participant. Further studies with local Indonesian individuals are necessary to provide a more comprehensive understanding of how the influence of Indonesian-English mixed language impacts the younger generation in Indonesia.

Campur Kode dalam Lirik Lagu-Lagu Bagus Wirata: Kajian Sosiolinguistik

In recent years, the practice of code mixing in public communication in Bali has increased. Code mixing events can occur anytime and anywhere. One form of code mixing that has attracted attention is code mixing in pop song lyrics, especially Balinese pop songs. This is a concern in itself regarding the character of Balinese Pop songs, which were initially aimed at preserving Balinese art and culture, especially in terms of language, but have become something that seems to be forced solely for the sake of market demands. The formulation of the problem in this research is: 1) What is the form of code mixing in the lyrics of songs sung by Bagus Wirata 2) What factors encourage code mixing in the lyrics of songs sung by Bagus Wirata. The research approach used is an empirical method because the use of Balinese in the lyrics of Bagus Wirata's songs already exists naturally. The object of research in this research is the songs sung by singer Bagus Wirata. The data collection methods used were document study, observation and interviews.The research results are; 1. The form of code mixing in the lyrics of songs sung by Bagus Wirata is: The use of code mixing in the form of words is most often used in the lyrics of songs sung by Bagus Wirata with a total usage percentage of 63%. Code mixing in the form of clauses ranks second with a usage percentage of 19%. The remainder is code mixing in the form of phrases amounting to 13%, code mixing in the form of basters 3% and code mixing in the form of repeated words 2%. 2. Factors that encourage code mixing in the lyrics of songs sung by Bagus Wirata are; 1) language dominance, 2) language attitudes, 3) psycholinguistic motivation, 4) lack of equivalent words in Balinese, 5) commercial target market. 3. The impact of using code mixing on the Balinese language, namely; 1) destruction of the Balinese language system, 2) extinction of the Balinese language.

ANALISIS CAMPUR KODE PADA PERCAKAPAN MASYARAKATA DI DESA SISOBAHILI KECAMATAN SUSUA KABUPATEN NIAS SELATAN

This research was motivated by the code mixing of the Nias regional language and Indonesian in the conversations of the people of Sisobahili village, Susua District, South Nias Regency. This research aims (1) to describe the forms of code mixing in community conversations in Sisobahili village, Susua District, South Nias Regency (2) to determine the factors behind the occurrence of code mixing in community conversations in Sisobahili village, Susua District, South Nias Regency. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The research findings obtained by researchers are forms of code mixing in the conversations of the people of Sisobahili village, Susua District, South Nias Regency in the form of words, phrases, bastards, repetition of words, expressions/idioms and factors that cause code mixing in the conversations of the people of Sisobahili village, Susua District, Regency. South Nias in the form of role identification, variety identification, and the desire to explain/interpret. So it can be concluded that the forms of code mixing that occur in the conversations of the people of Sisobahili village, Susua District, South Nias Regency are in the form of words, phrases, bastards, repetition of words and expressions/idioms and the factors causing the emergence of code mixing in the conversations of the people of Sisobahili village, Susua District, South Nias Regency in the form of role identification, variety identification, the desire to explain and interpret, the researcher suggests to students that this research can be used as a basis for further research in the field of sociolinguistics for language teaching, for society, so that this research can increase society's insight or realize that mixed use code can cause the extinction of the Nias regional language, for readers, the use of code mixing is not good when communicating. Everyone should be able to use the correct language or use the real language and let's preserve the Nias regional language so that it doesn't perish and disappear.

The Analysis of Code–Mixing in Lyrics of Rungkad

In 1940 there is a song with title Kopral Jono that put code mixing in the lyrics “Aksimu bung very good seperti mas Robin Hood”. In 2024 code mixing can be found in a lot of songs, one of them is Rungkad created by Vicky Tri Prasetyo and popularized by Nella Kharisma. This research is conducted to find the forms of code mixing and the factors causing code mixing. The data collection technique in this research uses two techniques, namely reading and note-taking techniques. The data collection procedure is by reading the song lyrics, marking words, phrases, clauses, word repetitions, idioms, basters which indicate code mixing, noting the marked words, phrases, clauses, sentences, and then grouping the data which indicates code mixing according to the research problem. In Rungkad song there are 39 data of code mixing found in the form of inserting word element for 27 data, inserting phrase elements for 9 data and, inserting clause elements for 3 data. Meanwhile, for code mixing, inserting bastards, idioms and repetitions elements were not found at all. The form of code mixing in the Rungkad song lyrics is dominated by the form of code mixing in the form of inserting word elements, while the choice of language varieties is dominated by Javanese and Indonesian. Use of mixed Indonesian-Patani language codes in oral form by Patani (South of Thailand) pupils in Medan City

This research examines code mixing among Patani students in Medan City. The study aims to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude data on the use of Indonesian-Patani code mixing in oral form by Patani students from southern Thailand in Medan City, focusing on the lexicon form of code mixing. This research aims to investigate code mixing in the interactions of Patani students in the city of Medan. The data was collected using recording and note-taking techniques. The transcribed data was classified, analyzed, and interpreted to draw conclusions. Data analysis results indicate that Patani students in Medan City code-mix verbs, adjectives, nouns, pronouns, numerals, adverbs, and task words. In the research, the causes of code-mixing are divided into four categories: (i) a continued focus on the mother tongue, especially Patani Malay, (ii) difficulty in interacting with an environment that uses both Indonesian and regional languages, (iii) a lack of understanding of Indonesian, resulting in incorrect pronunciation, and (iv) difficulty in understanding new Indonesian vocabulary, resulting in the combination of familiar languages.

NAVIGATING LINGUISTIC SEAS: CODE-MIXING PATTERNS AT INDONESIAN COAST GUARD (BAKAMLA RI)

This study examines code-mixing form, function, and patterns within the context of linguistic phenomena at Indonesia Coast Guard (BAKAMLA RI) in East Indonesia, Ambon. To conduct the research, mixed-methode approach was adopted and the data source was a collection of recordings of the students’ utterances in the classroom and workplace. The study found that there were three forms of code mixing used by the students which included words, phrases, and clauses. The data analysis revealed that there were 39 instances of code mixing in the recordings. These 39 instances comprised of 20 data words code mixing, 14 data phrase code mixing, 11 data lexical need code mixing, and 9 data as a function of comment. In addition. code-mixing patterns within the context of linguistic phenomena, specifically focusing on three predominant models: Model of Verb (MoV), Model of Noun (MoN), and Model of Adjective (MoA). The research reveals a total of 158 instances of code-mixing across these models. The results indicated that Model of Verb (MoV) exhibited the highest frequency, constituting 62.03% of the total code-mixing observed. In contrast, Model of Noun (MoN) represented 27.22% of the code-mixing instances, while Model of Adjective (MoA) accounted for 10.75% of the overall code-mixing phenomena. This study sheds light on the use of code mixing in the context of English language teaching and provides new insights into the reasons behind its occurrence in the workplace.

Code-switching and code-mixing in indonesian learning at SMA YP Unila

The purpose of this research is to seek information about the factors causing code switching and code mixing in the post-pandemic learning process of the Indonesian language in class XII Social Sciences at SMA YP Unila. This study uses a descriptive approach. The data collected are in the form of words, pictures, and not numbers. This research leads to an in-depth description of the meaning, clarification, and placement of data in their respective contexts and describes them in the form of words from numbers. The total code-switching in learning interactions is one-word data, two phrases, and five sentences; this shows that students' and teachers' interest in code-switching in both classes is shallow. As in code-switching, the form of code mixing in its interaction is divided into internal code-mixing and external code-mixing. In internal code-mixing, the language used is the insertion of Javanese in Indonesian sentences. Meanwhile, in external code-mixing, the language used is the insertion of English and Arabic in the interaction of Indonesian language learning. The implication aims to make it easier for teachers and students to understand word insertion during learning interactions and quickly understand what other people say when communicating. The results of research on the speech incident in the film Uang Panai', found that there were speeches that were categorized into code switching and code mixing. The forms of code switching used in the film Uang Panai' include internal code switching and external code switching. The code-switching functions found in each data point in the film Uang Panai' are three: a more persuasive function, a more communicative function, and a more argumentative function. The form of code mixing found in the film Uang Panai' involves mixing internal and external code in the form of words, phrases, and clauses. Alih Kode Campur Kode dalam Novel Mimpi Bungsu Karya Vanny Chrisma W: Kajian Sosiolinguistik

Analysis of Code Switching and Code Mixing in the Novel Dreams of the Bungsu by Vanny Chrisma W Study: Sociolinguistics. Vanny Chrisma W or Fani Krismawati, born on December 4, 1983 in Sidoarjo, East Java, is the fourth of five children. Vanny Chrisma W once studied at STIE Perbanas Surabaya. Reading books is his hobby in order to increase knowledge and insight. The purpose of this study is to describe the linguistic phenomena that occur in the Dream Bungsu novel by Vanny Chrisma W, namely: (1) the form of code switching and (2) the form of code mixing. This research can be classified as a qualitative descriptive study with the research sample in the form of conversational speech in the Dream Bungsu novel by Vanny Charisma W. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection technique used is document analysis. The results in this study indicate that the form of code switching is in the form of 11 sentences in the form of Javanese. And 6 phrases in the form of Jakarta, English, and Javanese. The next findings are, 5 words in the form of Javanese and Jakarta language. The factors causing the use of code switching and code mixing in the Dream Bungsu Novel by Vanny Chrisma W are: (1), fellow Javanese to make it easier to accept the meaning of speech from the speaker to the speech partner, (2) the Javanese who live in the village do not master the Indonesian language. , (3) the use of English to make it look prestige.

THE USE OF CODE MIXING BETWEEN INDONESIA AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE ON RUANG SANDI PODCAST

The purpose of the research was to find out the forms of code mixing and the dominant forms of code mixing used by podcaster and guest star on Ruang Sandi podcast. The researcher took the data from six videos on Ruang Sandi podcast, from June 2020 until January 2021, especially the woman guest stars aged 20 to 30 years. This research was descriptive qualitative. The researcher used documentation method in collecting the data and then the data were classified using Suwito’s theory and presented in table form. Based on the result of the study, the researcher found that there were 705 code mixing consisting of 290 insertion of word, 216 insertion of phrase, 75 insertion of hybrid, 18 insertion of reduplication, 11 insertion of idiom, and 95 insertion of clause. The dominant forms was insertion of word with the percentage 41,13%.

Types, Forms, and Functions of Code Mixing in the Goyang Jember Program

Background: The broadcasters and callers in the Goyang Jember program on Prosalina FM radio are a reflection of the Pandalungan community, so the language used is unique and interesting to study.
 Purpose: This research aims to describe the types, forms, and functions of code mixing in the conversations between broadcasters and callers in the Goyang Jember program on Prosalina FM radio.
 Design and methods: This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was carried out using the observation method with tapping, free observation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis stage used the translational and referential equivalence method with descriptive, identification, and classification techniques.
 Results: The results of this study found two types of code mixing, namely internal code mixing from Javanese, Madurese, and Osing languages, and external code mixing from Arabic and English languages. The forms of code mixing found were insertion of words (152 data), phrases (42 data), repetition of words (1 data), clauses (24 data), and blasters (5 data). The functions of code mixing found were to build a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, show the ethnic identity of the speaker, show respect to the interlocutor, create humor, and show prestige. The result of this research is expected to provide awareness that code mixing in bilingual or multilingual communities serves to eliminate differences between societal groups and build interpersonal relationships among them.
