OZET Amac: Bu calismanin amaci yabanci uyruklu ogrencilerin yasadiklari sorunlarin tanimlanmasidir. Yontem: Tanimlayici tipteki bu arastirmanin evrenini Konya ilindeki universitelerde okumakta olan yabanci uyruklu ogrenciler olusturmaktadir. Orneklem 109 kisiden olusmustur. Elde edilen veriler arastirmacilar tarafindan gelistirilen 28 soruluk anket formu ile toplanmistir. Anket formu literatur taramalarina ek olarak “odak grup gorusmeleri” yoluyla gelistirilmistir. Veri toplama islemi Mayis-Haziran 2016 tarihlerinde yapilmis olup veriler yuzdelik, ortalama ve standart sapma ile analiz edilmistir. Bulgular: Katilimcilarin %61.5’i erkek, %54.1’i 21-25 yas araliginda, %52.3’u Sosyal Bilimler alaninda ogrenim gormektedirler. Katilimci ogrencilerin % 43.1’i Ortadogu bolgesinden ve %24.8’i Kafkaslar ve Orta Asya bolgesinden gelmektedir. Ogrencilerin %78.9’u ogrenci statusu ile ulkemize gelmis ve %90.8’i Turkiye’de herhangi bir kurumdan burs aldiklarini ifade etmislerdir. Elde edilen sonuclara gore yabanci ogrencilerin cogunlugu universite personellerinden, hocalarindan ve arkadaslarindan ayrimcilik gormediklerini ifade etmislerdir. Yabanci ogrencilerin Turkiye’de yasadiklarini ifade ettikleri en onemli sorun Turkceyi anlama ve Turkce ders izleme olarak gorulmektedir. Yemekler, yabanci ogrenciler icin orta duzeyli bir sorun olarak gorulmustur. Sonuclar: Yabanci uyruklu ogrencilerin yasadigi Turkceyi anlama, yemekler, sosyal yasama uyum ile ilgili yasadigi sorunlarin cozumune yonelik cok aktorlu bir yaklasim gerekmektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Goc, Yabanci uyruklu ogrenciler, Yabanci ogrenci sorunlari, universite ogrencileri ABSTRACT Investigation of the Problems of Foreign University Students: Konya Province Examination Aim: The aim of this study is identification of the foreign students’ problems. Methods: The universe of this descriptive study consists of the foreign students studying at the universities in Konya province. The sample has been consisted of 109 people. The obtained data have been collected by a 28-item questionnaire developed by the researchers. The questionnaire, in addition to literature, has been developed by using information obtained by the “focus group interviews”. Collecting data process was done in May-June 2016. Data have been analyzed by frequencies, mean and standard deviation. Results: 61.5% of participants are male, 54.1% of them are 21-25 age range, and 52.3% of them are studying in social sciences. 43.1% of the participant students are coming from Middle East and 24.8% of them are coming from Caucasus and Central Asia. 78.9% of the students have come to our country with the student statue and 90.8% of them have stated that they haven’t received any scholarship from any institutions. According to the results, majority of the foreign students have stated that they haven’t been discriminated by the university staff, professors and friends. It has been seen that the foreign students have stated that their most important problem is to understand Turkish and to follow the courses in Turkish. It has also seen that meal problem is a mid-level problem for foreign students. Conclusion s: A multi-actor approach is needed to solve the problems of foreign students with Turkish language understanding, food, and adaptation to social life.
