We report on YBa 2Cu 3O 7−δ/ YBa 2Co xCu 3−xO y / YBa 2Cu 3O 7−δ Josephson edge junctions with 0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.3. The I–V curves of these SNS junctions were RSJ-like with excess current, which can result from flux flow. Many junctions have shown suppression of I c of about 50% in a magnetic field, and clear Shapiro steps under microwave irradiation. We found that at 77 K the I cR N products of our junctions scaled as I c 0.61±0.09 (or as J c 0.66±0.09 ), similar to the results of other groups. We suggest that this dependence is basically due to flow of Josephson vortices in the large junctions which leads to a decrease in R N at lower temperatures and higher I c .
