Analysis of Students Creative Thinking Abilities on the Topic of Energy in Living Systems

Creative thinking is a habit of sharp thinking with intuition, moving the imagination, revealing new possibilities, uncovering unique ideas, and inspiring unexpected ideas. Based on fluency, flexibility, and originality, this research aims to describe students' creative thinking abilities regarding energy material in class VII life systems at SMP Negeri 1 Tapa. This research type is descriptive qualitative research. The instrument used is a 10-number essay test whose validity has been tested. The sample used in this research was 30 students. The results of research on creative thinking abilities on energy materials in living systems are in the fluency aspect of 55.83% in the enough creative category, the flexibility aspect of 67.5% in the creative category, and the originality aspect of 52.5% in the enough creative category. This shows that the low ability to think creatively is due to students' need to understand the creative thinking ability test and students' unfamiliarity with creative thinking. Students are expected to be able to practice working on questions that can hone creative thinking skills and can use the results of this research as a reference for further research related to creative thinking skills.

Fluency and Flexibility of Students in Solving Arithmetic Sequence Problems Based on Self Efficacy

This research is a descriptive qualitative research that aims to describe students' creative thinking in solving arithmetic sequence problems in terms of self-efficacy. This research was conducted at SMK Kesehatan Dhermajaya. The subjects of this study were 3 grade XI students who were taken according to the aspects of self-efficacy, namely magnitude, strength, generality. Creative thinking indicators in this study are fluency, flexibility, and novelty. The results of this study indicate that the magnitude subject in the fluency aspect is that students can provide 2 possible jars needed. The flexibility aspect is that students can solve with 2 alternative solutions with the arithmetic sequence formula, and write an arithmetic sequence that is at odds with 2 and if added together the result is 90. The strength of the fluency aspect is that students provide 2 possible jars needed. At the same time, the aspects of flexibility and novelty have not been fulfilled. The subject of generality in the fluency aspect is that students can provide 3 possible jars. The flexibility aspect is that students can provide 2 different alternative solutions, namely using the arithmetic sequence formula and writing an arithmetic sequence that is 2 apart and then adding them up. The three subjects, still have not shown the uniqueness of the answer or used different strategies so that the novelty aspect has not been fulfilled.

Analisis Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa SMA Negeri 4 Gorontalo Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Hots Pada Materi Laju Reaksi

This research aims to determine the achievement of aspects of students' creative thinking skills and the data collection technique for this research uses an essay test with 4 questions, this research is qualitative research, the sample in this research is 100 students of class XI-IPA. The results of the research show that students' creative thinking skills as a whole fall into the quite creative category with an average total percentage of 60%. With the level of students' creative thinking skills in solving High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on the reaction rate material in the fluency aspect of 58% in the quite creative category, in the flexibility aspect it was 53% in the quite creative category, in the originality aspect it was 70% in the quite good category, and the level of students' creative thinking skills in the elaboration aspect was 59% in the quite creative category.

Gender Bias in Educational Material and Teaching Practices in Schools: A Case Study of Public Secondary Schools in Iganga District

This study investigated gender bias in educational materials and teaching practices in a case study of public secondary schools in the Iganga district and objectively focused on; examining the indicators of gender bias in the preparation of educational materials and content delivery, identifying factors contributing to gender bias in educational programs, and examining the functional attempts made to eliminate gender bias to enhance teaching practices. Qualitative Oral-narrative results from teachers were obtained and reported in story form, while results from headteachers were obtained and reported verbatim. Findings indicated that there were several indicators of gender bias in the public secondary schools in Iganga District. This was reflected in leadership, where female headteachers were scarce, with only two schools having female principals. Besides, the internal administrative responsibilities were biased against females, as heads of disciplinary committees were predominantly male teachers, as were directors of studies and other positions. The causes for these, as per the findings, were: the perception that some jobs were best performed and suited for females; the flexibility aspect, as men were found to be so tough and rigid; and the favouritism aspect. Functional mechanisms for reducing gender biases in public secondary schools included, among other things, posting anti-gender bias messages on classroom and office walls, balancing responsibilities, and suggestion boxes. Conclusively, in almost all public secondary schools in Iganga District, there is no female head of the disciplinary committee an indicator of gender bias in the assignment of disciplinary committee responsibilities. Many female teachers are denied certain responsibilities because they are either married or unable to attend to their responsibilities at certain times of the day. The major recommendation is that every teacher should be required to ensure that gender-sensitive messages are disseminated and posted on walls and in appropriate places.

ANALISIS TINGKAT KEBUGARAN FISIK MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN OLAHRAGA MELALUI LATIHAN WEIGHT TRAINING

Students of the Sports Education Study Program experience problems of fatigue, lack of concentration, and inmotivation during theoretical lectures and practical activities that require endurance and flexibility. These observations indicate that a lack of physical fitness may affect academic performance and active participation in physical activity. The study aims to analyze the physical fitness of students through Weight training to improve their strength, endurance, and flexibility. This study used quantitative descriptive method by applying Weight training Exercise as an intervention. Analysis of the level of physical fitness showed that the strength aspect reached the high category by 60%, the endurance aspect reached the high category by 50%, and the flexibility aspect reached the high category by 40% of the total number of students. Weight training with exercise intensity, duration, regular diet, and adequate rest can effectively increase the strength, endurance, and flexibility of Sports Education Study Program students. This is very relevant to the purpose of sports education that wants to improve the physical abilities of students, both for the benefit of sports and health in general.

Existing Performance of Cocoa Agroindustry: Learn From Pt. Indonesia Hijau, Polewali Mandar, Indonesia

PT. Indonesia Hijau carries out innovation in the form of a processing business made from fermented cocoa beans. Processing cocoa beans into several types of chocolate products creates added value and also sells buy order chocolate products. This research aims to analyze production performance and marketing mapping of processed chocolate products. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the production performance of PT. Green Indonesia from the productivity aspect is categorized as good (>21,55 kg/HOK) and the capacity aspect is also categorized as good (>0.7). From the aspect of raw material and product quality, PT Indonesia Hijau has SNI, P-IRT, Halal and BPOM status. Apart from that, the flexibility aspect is considered to be good because it meets 3 dimensional measurements and also has a relatively good process speed aspect. However, this research suggests that the use of e-commerce in marketing can be optimized. Apart from that, you need to think about product delivery, which currently still takes a long time (because you have to transit first) in several cities, before arriving at the final destination city by means of the local government making a port of delivery of goods.

Creative thinking process at class viii students' in solving problems based on hayes' theory viewed from cognitive style and gender

The aim of this research is to describe the creative thinking process of male and female students with field dependent (FD) and field independent (FI) cognitive styles in solving mathematical problems based on Hayes' theory. This research is a descriptive study with the subjects being two male and two female students in class VIII MTs Darul Ulum Bandung, each of whom has FD and FI cognitive styles. The results of the research show that male FD students' creative thinking is based on flexibility, visible steps in planning solutions, being able to explain the various strategies used, originality, visible steps in implementing plans, determining new strategies in solving problems according to their own opinion, elaboration, visible steps in evaluating plans and evaluating results. , provide an assessment of problem solving planning. Deskripsi Kreativitas Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal TIMSS

This research explores students' creativity in solving problems using the TIMSS cognitive domain. This qualitative study employs a descriptive method with two eighth-grade students in Gowa as the research subjects. The selection of subjects is based on their initial mathematical abilities in the eighth grade, and students with high capabilities are grouped accordingly. The instruments used for data collection include a mathematics creativity test and interview guidelines. The study focuses on three aspects of creative thinking abilities: fluency, flexibility, and originality. The result of this study indicates that (1) the subject in the cognitive domain of applying algebraic content, high initial abilities meet the aspects of fluency and flexibility. This meant that obtained creative thinking ability level 3 (creative); (2) in the cognitive domain of reasoning, the subject's algebraic content fulfills the flexibility aspect. This means obtaining creative thinking ability level 2 (creative enough).

CREATIVE THINKING ABILITIES OF PROSPECTIVE MATHEMATICS TEACHERS IN SOLVING OPEN-ENDED TRIGONOMETRY PROBLEM

The current technological developments require students to have creative thinking skills. One of the four thinking skills needed in the 21st century is creative thinking skills which is still lacking in students. The purpose of this study was to describe prospective mathematics teachers’ creative thinking skills in solving open-ended trigonometry problems. This research is descriptive qualitative research. This study involved 40 prospective mathematics teachers who were then reduced to four subjects based on high and medium mathematical abilities which were studied in more depth in solving open-ended trigonometry problems. The research instruments used in this study were the researcher, interview guide, and open-ended trigonometry questions. The results of collegers work were analyzed based on aspects and levels of creative thinking skills. In this study, the data analysis phase includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Then triangulated the data in describing the results of the study. The results of this study are that first colleger with high mathematical abilities meet the aspects of fluency and novelty and the second fulfills the aspects of fluency and flexibility. First colleger with medium abilities fulfill the flexibility aspect and the second fulfills the novelty aspect. So, it can be concluded that collegers with high and medium mathematical abilities were solving open-ended trigonometry problems have a creative level and quite creative.

Coordinated active and reactive power operation of multiple dispersed resources for flexibility improvement

The purpose of this paper is to reach the optimal active and reactive power operation of multiple dispersed resources consisting of mobile energy storage system (MESS), demand response (DR) and photovoltaic (PV), for flexibility improvement of distribution network with uncertain PV and DR, minimization of power loss and operation cost whilst satisfaction of both power factor and voltage variation requirement. Especially, the flexibility aspect of distribution network is focused due to its significance for supporting economic operation without voltage rise issue during high PVs integration. Firstly, the active and reactive power operation spaces of MESS and PV inverter are discussed under power factor constraint. Then, the stochastic characteristics of PV generation and DR of microgrids are investigated using probability distribution. After that, the optimization framework coordination with dispersed MESS, PV inverter and DR to ensure operational flexibility of distribution network is proposed. Finally, the total cost minimization based flexibility improvement approach is presented by optimizing power loss, uncertain risk, operation cost of distribution network and MESS, satisfying operation constraints of both distribution network and dispersed resources. Simulation results conducted on the IEEE 69-bus system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach for PV accommodation, voltage quality improvement as well as peak load shaving.

The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of Tanjungpura University Biology Education students' creative thinking skills in developing an ideas for waste management into products. This research is a descriptive qualitative research type. The data in this study are in the form of response data in the form of a questionnaire. The results showed that the creative thinking ability in the fluency aspect was 58.48% in the sufficient category, the flexibility aspect was 63.01% in the creative category, the originality aspect was 61.48% in the creative category, and the elaboration aspect was 66.40% in the creative category. Based on the percentage, it was found that the aspect with the highest value was the elaboration aspect and the lowest value was in the fluency aspect.

This research aims to analyze the performance production of baked fish crackers kerupuk kemplang in Skip Rahayu Agroindustry, Bumi Waras Subdistrict, Bandar Lampung. The method used in this research is a survey method. The location was determined purposively with the consideration that the area is the production center of kerupuk kemplang agroindustry in Bandar Lampung. The samples in this study are 13 baked fish crackers kerupuk kemplang agroindustry owners that are randomly selected disproportionately. Data collected were in March - April 2021 and the data analysis method used in this research was qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The study results are kerupuk kemplang agroindustrial performance based on productivity aspect, capacity, quality, speed of delivery, and the speed of the process has been good, but based on the flexibility aspect it is not optimal. Indonesian College Students’ Perception toward Language Online Learning Before and During COVID-19 Pandemic

Integration of technology in the teaching and learning process brings innovation where a learning process can be conducted virtually despite time and place boundaries. Online learning as the integration of learning and technology is used as the primary strategy to continue the teaching and learning process due to the Covid-19 outbreak. This study aims to analyze student perceptions of online learning before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the students had negative and positive perceptions of online learning before and during the pandemic. Before the pandemic, the students emphasized exploring the materials, while the students emphasized flexibility in learning during the pandemic. Meanwhile, negative perceptions are shown through the loss of direct communication between teachers and students. During the pandemic, students emphasized the flexibility aspect of the online learning mode. However, negative perceptions also emerged, namely the abundance of online tasks and the difficulties of using e-learning. Various challenges of online learning were also found during the pandemic compared to before the outbreak. For example in addition to inadequate internet connections and gadgets, anxiety problems due to the workload and less appropriate learning plan also arose. It can be seen that online learning before and during the outbreak experienced dynamics, so teachers and students must be encouraged to be more adaptive in dealing with changes in their learning.

Membrane fouling by nanofibres and organic contaminants – Mechanisms and mitigation via periodic cleaning strategies

The fouling of water filtration membranes by nano/microplastic fragments can result in the decline of the water flux across membranes, however, the impact of other types of nano/microplastics on filtration processes, such as nano/micro fibres, has not been well characterised. The flexibility and high aspect ratio of nano/micro fibres could favor their adsorption onto filtration membranes, hence the presence of such fibres in water streams constitutes a potential threat to membrane units. In this work, the fouling of ultrafiltration membranes by a mixed system of poly(ethylene terephthalate) nanofibres and organic contaminants commonly found in textile industry effluents was investigated before mitigation strategies based on periodic gas scouring were developed. The nanofibres were prepared by electrospinning and cryo-sectioning using a freezing agent containing the organic contaminants of interest, poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(vinyl alcohol). Results showed that the organic contaminants induced a water flux decline across the membranes of 50% in less than an hour due to internal pore blocking whereas the adsorption of pure fibres as loose entanglements contributed to less than 10% of the permeation loss observed due to low pore coverage. Although applying periodic gas scouring was not efficient to dislodge the organic contaminants from the pores, this cleaning procedure removed up to 75% of the nanofibres from the surface of the membranes due to the shear forces generated by the gas bubbles. Hence, this study suggests that ultrafiltration membranes and gas scouring procedures could be successfully applied to control and limit the presence of fibres present in complex water streams.

Math Creativity Survey For Class 4 Elementary School

Problems in mathematics are increasingly complicated, especially related to students' creativity. The fundamental problem of learning mathematics is that learning is difficult and tedious and impacts students' learning outcomes. It needs special attention so that students' creative abilities in mathematics must be developed in various ways. The purpose of this study is to analyze the creativity of elementary school students in learning Mathematics. This research uses a descriptive approach in the form of a survey. This study involved 200 students from 11 elementary schools. The research instrument is a questionnaire based on four aspects: flexibility, originality, and elaboration. A descriptive approach was used to analyze the research data. The findings show that students' creativity differs in four aspects. The Fluency Aspect got a score of 3.07 in the medium category. The flexibility aspect got a score of 3,098 in the medium category. The originality aspect got a score of 2.37 in the medium category. The aspect elaboration got a score of 2.47 in the medium category. Based on the study results, it can be found that from the four aspects of student creativity in the medium category. The findings state that sub-indicators in every aspect of creativity need to be developed and improved.

Analisis Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa Kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 5 Bulukumba pada Penerapan Model Kooperatif Tipe STAD (Students Teams Achievement Divisions) dengan Mind Mapping (Studi pada Materi Pokok Larutan Asam Basa)

This descriptive study aims to determine how much ability of think creative of students on every aspect of the creative thinking skills (CTS) in terms of process and product. The subjects of this study were the students of class XI IPA 3 SMAN 5 Bulukumba. The class were taught using STAD Type of Cooperative Learning model with mind mapping. The instrument used in this study was observation sheet to measure the CTS of process and achievement test to measure CTS of product. The indicators achievement of CTS on application STAD type of Cooperative Learning model and mind mapping are: (1) fluency aspect reached 64.69 % belonging to high category, (2) flexibility aspect achieved 52.50 % belonging to low category, (3) originality aspect achieved 40.00 % belonging to lower category, and (4) elaboration aspect achieved 63.44 % belonging to medium category. Whereas the indicators achievement of CTS for the manufacture of mind mapping result are: (1) fluency aspect reached 74.22 % belonging to high category, (2) flexibility aspect achieved 66.41 % belonging to high category, (3) originality aspect achieved 53.13 % belonging to low category, and (4) elaboration aspect achieved 73.44 % belonging to high category. The Data were obtained by providing achievement test to measures the CTS of students during the learning process takes place. Values of achievement test were analysed using descriptive statistical analysis and is obtained the indicators of achievement for each aspect of that is to aspects of fluency reached 98.1% belonging to very high category, flexibility aspects achieved 91.5% belonging to very high category, and elaboration aspect reached 58.6% belonging to medium category. It was concluded that the aspects of fluency is an indicator that reach the highest percentage from other aspects of indicator of the creative thinking skills.

Application of Learning Models of Concept Attainment and Problem Based Learning Against High School Students' Creative Thinking Ability on Redox Material

Creative thinking is thinking to determine the new relationships between things, such as finding new solutions to a problem, finding new systems, and finding new artistic forms. This study aimed to analyze students' creative thinking ability by applying concept attainment and problem-based learning models in the redox material of class X SMA Negeri 9 Palu. This type of research was pre-experimental with the static group pre-test post-test design. This study used 2 classes, namely class X MIA 1 as experimental class 1 (n = 22) and class X MIA 2 as experimental class 2 (n = 22). Data analysis of students’ creative thinking was performed using the test given after learning (post-test). The results of this study indicated that the percentage value of the average creative thinking of the experimental class 1 students was 74.5% with the high category and the achievement of aspects of creative thinking of students with the percentage from highest to lowest in the originality aspect were 76.7%, flexibility aspect was 74.1%, and the fluency aspect was 72.7%. While the average percentage of experimental class 2 was 76.6% with the high category and the achievement of aspects of creative thinking of students with the highest to lowest percentage of the fluency aspect was 84.5%, the originality aspect was 75.1%, and the flexibility aspect was 70.2%. The results of this study can be concluded that the application of the Concept Attainment and Problem Based Learning models were very good in creative thinking skills of students class in SMA Negeri 9 Palu on Redox material.

Analysis of Ethno-STEM Integrated Project Based Learning on Students' Critical and Creative Thinking Skills

Critical and creative thinking is one of the 21st century skills that meet the needs in the educational process. In addition, learning local wisdom which is closely related to scientific concepts also really needs to be emphasized. This study aims to analyze students' critical and creative thinking skills through the application of Ethno-STEM Integrated Project Based Learning. This research is a case study research with a One-Shot Case Study design. The research subjects were 36 students of class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Weleri. Data collection used a test instrument that has been validated by experts and shows a Cronbach Alpha score of 0.72. From the results of data analysis, it shows that students' critical thinking skills achieve good criteria, with the highest achievement in the aspect of providing simple explanations and the ability to think creatively of students achieving good criteria with the highest achievement on the flexibility aspect, which is to provide various interpretations of a picture, story, or problem. In conclusion, the integrated Ethno-STEM Project Based Learning can train students' critical and creative thinking skills.
