AbstractThis study aims to determine how the characteristics of the visual, auditory, andkinesthetic learning styles of students of the Sociology Education Study Program, FKIPUNTAN. The method used by the researcher is a descriptive research method using aqualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, anddocumentation. Data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, datapresentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. Testing the validity of the data,namely the extension of observations, increasing persistence, and triangulation. Theresults of this study indicate that the students of the Sociology Education StudyProgram, FKIP UNTAN, have shown the characteristics of their respective learningstyles according to their abilities and habits that are often applied during and outsideof learning. There are students of the Sociology Education Study Program, FKIPUNTAN, who dominantly have visual learning style characteristics by relying more onsensory vision (eyes), namely by seeing, observing, and the like. There are also studentswho have dominant auditory learning style characteristics by relying more on sensoryhearing (ears), namely by listening. And there are also students who have dominantkinesthetic learning style characteristics by relying more on sensory physicalmovement, touch, work and the like.Keywords: Learning Style, Visual, Auditorial, Kinesthetic, Student
