<h3>FOREWORD</h3> Dr. Waltman Walters, Chief Editor of this journal has written his impressions of the Japanese Medical Congress, and has described some of his experiences during his stay of four weeks in Japan, when he visited many of the principal cities and gave several talks at medical schools and hospitals. Dr. Walters writes of his impressions and experiences in a letter to two Japanese fellows who are currently studying in the Mayo Foundation at Rochester, Minn. These two young Japanese, Dr. Yasuhiko Matsukado, of the University of Kyushu, and Dr. Yutaka Yoshida, of the University of Hirosaki, assisted Dr. Walters in the production of two 10-minute colored, sound ciné films in which they translated into Japanese a summary of the two papers which Dr. Walters presented before the Japanese Medical Congress, one on "The Development and Treatment of Cancer of the Stomach at the Mayo Clinic Since 1907," and the
