The general applied didactics capitalizes on the pedagogical notion of problem in all subjects of education, with special references in the field of mathematics, improved in the relationship between problem-based teaching and learning and problem-based assessment as a way of constantly verifying the results obtained. The problem is amethodological landmark proposed by school and teacher programs, with the function of activating students’ abilityto comprehend and reconstruct knowledge already assimilated. Problem-based teaching, approached as an object of study of general applied didactics to different subjects of education (especially in mathematics ) includes problem-based teachingactions – problem-based learning – problem-based assessment, in permanent interdependence through the innovative contribution of the teacher. The example of applied didactics in mathematics can be built in relation to the special pedagogical resources offered by curricular planning, structuralist-genetic constructivism (elaborated by Piaget), problem-based teaching (at the problem-based teaching level – problem-based learning – problem-based assessment).
