Reinterpretasi Pendidikan Moderat dalam Tafsir Al-Muntakhabat Karya KH. Achmad Asrori Al-Ishaqi dan Penerapannya dalam Sistem Pendidikan di Indonesia

The increasingly complex challenges of radicalism and intolerance, including in Indonesia, make it necessary to explore the understandings of previous ulama' so that they can give birth to a comprehensive understanding of moderate education, including understanding in contemporary Sufi interpretations, especially through the work of KH. Achmad Asrori al-Ishaqi, who is a recognized figure in the world of Islamic scholarship. The aim of this research is to explore new understandings about religious moderation education in the context of contemporary Sufi interpretation. The urgency of this research is to prevent the spread of religious extremism ideas that are spread through educational channels. This research method includes text analysis of the Sufi Tafsir al-Muntakhabat, with a focus on the concepts of religious moderation education contained in the work. Analysis is carried out in depth to understand how these concepts are interpreted and applied in today's context. The results obtained in this research are that there are four moderate educational values ​​in the Sufi commentary book al-Muntakhabāt by KH. Achmad Asrori al-Ishaqi include: First, justice ('is), second, wasaṭiyah (middle), third, strengthening brotherhood between fellow humans (tolerance), fourth, respect for differences. Looking at some of these moderate educational values, when implemented in the curriculum they will be an important contribution to efforts to prevent radicalism and extremism as well as building a more harmonious society

The impact of speciesism on customers' acceptance of service automation

PurposeThe marketplace is becoming increasingly automated, with consumers frequently expected to interact with machines. Not all consumers are receptive to this trend. We examine how the individual difference of speciesism impacts consumer reactions to automation in the marketplace.Design/methodology/approachWe conducted three studies, including an exploratory correlational survey and two two-factor studies.FindingsStudy 1 provides survey evidence of a positive relationship between one’s level of speciesism and their belief that customer service automation is justified. Study 2 finds that speciesists have more favorable attitudes toward brands using automated (vs human) customer service. Study 3 finds that the more speciesists perceive that tasks they are required to perform at their own work are illegitimate (i.e. unreasonable), the more favorable their reactions to automation, which provides support for our theorizing that speciesists appreciate automation’s ability to relieve humans of such work tasks.Practical implicationsWe recommend that marketers target speciesists as early adopters of chatbots. Further, brands targeting customers likely to be high on speciesism can benefit from adopting chatbots for routine tasks, as this can improve this segment’s brand attitudes.Originality/valueThis research identifies that speciesists, people who strongly ascribe to the belief that humans are superior to other species, are particularly receptive to automation in customer service (in the form of chatbots). We provide evidence suggesting that speciesists appreciate that automation relieves their fellow humans of automatable tasks.

Analisis Pengendalian Persediaan Produk Darah Menggunakan Metode Continuous Review System (Sistem-Q)

Blood is a vital necessity because in the event of a shortage, patients can only obtain blood from fellow humans. Blood available at the Blood Donor Unit, such as packed red cells (PRC) is most often needed for medical treatment, but is also often limited. This is due to the fluctuating supply and demand of blood. Based on the problem, a stochastic model with the continuous review system (CRS) or Q-system method is used. The approach will monitor inventory levels continuously, triggering reordering (r), when the stock reaches a certain threshold. This research applies a stochastic model to forecast demand (q), safety stock (ss), reorder point (r), maximum inventory (S), and total inventory cost (Ot). Before the calculation is done, the demand forecasting method is used, then the calculation with the Q-System. Based on data processing, obtained for each blood type A, B, AB, and O, namely, q values of 47, 48, 40, and 20 blood bags. The value of r is 73, 73, 71, and 17 blood bags. Leadership Ethics in the Perspective of Tri Hita Karana and Hastabrata

Leadership ethics are a fundamental component in creating harmony and organizational success. The Hindu perspective through the concepts of Tri Hita Karana (THK) and Hastabrata provides a unique view in forming an ideal leader. THK focuses on harmony between humans and God (Parahyangan), fellow humans (Pawongan), and the environment (Palemahan), while Hastabrata offers eight leadership characteristics inspired by natural elements. This article discusses the relevance of these two concepts in modern leadership, using a descriptive-qualitative approach based on literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the application of THK and Hastabrata values ​​is not only relevant in the context of local culture but also provides ethical insight for global leaders. With good integration, these two concepts are able to create leaders who are not only ethical but also visionary and innovative, relevant to the needs of today’s organizations.

Transformative Islamic Education Management in Responding to Environmental and Humanitarian Challenges in the Digital Age

Transformative Islamic education has an important role in responding to environmental and humanitarian challenges in the digital era. In this dynamic and rapidly changing era, a transformative approach in the management of Islamic education is very necessary to ensure that students are able to face the changes that occur wisely and sustainably. Transformative Islamic education teaches Islamic values that prioritize support for the environment and humanity. Through this approach, it is hoped that students can become agents of change who are responsible for protecting the environment and solving various humanitarian problems that exist in the world today. One of the environmental problems that is the main focus in transformative Islamic education is plastic waste. Plastic waste is a serious environmental problem with significant negative impacts on human life and other living things on earth. This research is library research, analyzed qualitatively using inductive thinking methods. The findings of this research are that, with a transformative approach, students are taught to care about the surrounding environment and understand the importance of preserving nature. Apart from that, transformative Islamic education also teaches the importance of empathy and concern for fellow humans. In this fast-paced and individualistic digital era, the values of caring for others are often neglected. Through a transformative approach, students are taught to be sensitive to the suffering of fellow humans and try to help others.

Berhikmat dalam Mengelola Amarah: Studi Topikal Penggunaan Kata Marah dalam Kitab Amsal

Abstract The book of Proverbs contains wise advice in facing life in this world. This advice is often in the form of practical advice that is easy to apply in a person's life. One of the important pieces of advice from this book is on how to manage anger. Uncontrolled anger often brings evil in a person. The word anger itself appears 19 times in this book. Two main questions are asked in this study: How does Proverbs view anger? How to manage anger wisely in humans according to Proverbs? Using a topical approach in the Book of Proverbs, two main things are concluded. First, anger is the root of ignorance and the enemy of wisdom. Anger will always have a bad impact and destroy peace among fellow humans. Second, Proverbs also gives wise advice on managing anger. It takes a calm and cautious attitude when one deals with anger. Managing anger is basically the same as managing good emotions. Patience and wisdom can quell the anger of others. It is the peace of mind produced by closeness to God and the fear of Him that will provide peace in overcoming all the roots of anger.

Memerdekakan Hak Orang Terpinggirkan: Analisis Teologi Pembebasan terhadap Karya Yayasan Kristen untuk Kesehatan Umum

The Christian Foundation for Public Health (YAKKUM) is a social foundation engaged in public health, focusing on all religious communities, including marginalized people who do not get justice. This research aimed to analyze how YAKKUM’s works to liberate the rights of marginalized people from the perspective of De La Torre’s liberation theology. This research used a qualitative descriptive analysis method with a literature review approach, observation, and interviews with credible participants. We found that YAKKUM is a social movement in the health sector that transforms the lives of people with services, empowerment, and guidance accompanied by compassion. Through work units, YAKKUM provides transformative services and empowers and guides marginalized people to live in peace and prosperity. YAKKUM’s efforts to liberate marginalized groups are tangible actions that manifest through a vertical relationship with God and are realized horizontally with fellow humans.

Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Guru Pada Mata Pelajaran Akhlak Kelas IV di Madrasah Diniyyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah Masjid Agung Ashliyah

Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah was one of the non-formal education in Indonesia, however there are several problems in learning at MDTA such as those found in moral learning at MDTA Masjid Agung Ashliyah Padang Panjang, namely teacher textbooks in teaching have not met learning objectives because the material is still limited and incomplete, the books provided by the madrasah are also still limited and teachers have not used teaching tools in the form of lesson implementation plans (RPP) in the learning process, so that the learning process is less effective and efficient. This study aims to produce a product in the form of teacher teaching materials as a guide for teachers in teaching. This study is entitled "Development of Teacher Teaching Materials for the Subject of Morals for Class IV at MDTA Masjid Agung Ashliyah Padang Panjang". This type of research was Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate, but this research only goes as far as Develop. This research was conducted at MDTA Masjid Agung Ashliyah Padang Panjang from May 10 to August 5, 2024. This study focuses on research on the development of teacher teaching materials for the subject of morals for class IV MDTA on the material "Morals are Easy for Fellow Humans". After the development of the teacher teaching materials, a feasibility test was carried out by curriculum experts and media experts. The results of the curriculum feasibility test were 86% with very feasible criteria, while the results of the media feasibility test were 84% with very feasible criteria, while the response of the morals subject teacher to the development of this teacher teaching material was 89.4% with a statement of very feasible. So it can be concluded that the development of teacher teaching materials for the subject of morals is very feasible to use.

This study aims to explore the values of “Manunggaling Kawula Gusti” contained in the kawung batik motif, which contains deep philosophical meaning in Javanese culture. “Manunggaling Kawula Gusti” is a teaching that emphasizes the union between man (kawula) and God (Gusti), describing an individual's spiritual journey towards awareness of the divine presence in every aspect of life. This teaching is often associated with Sheikh Siti Jenar, a controversial figure in Javanese history, who taught that God is a being that transcends everything, encompassing both the material and mental realms in their entirety. Sheikh Siti Jenar, who introduced the view that God is a being that encompasses the entire universe, both matter and soul, and transcends the understanding of human senses. On the other hand, the kawung batik motif is one of the classic batik motifs that has a repeating elliptical geometric pattern. This motif is not only appreciated for its beauty but also for its deep symbolic meaning. Kawung batik symbolizes the harmony between microcosm (humans) and macrocosm (the universe) and reminds humans of the importance of maintaining balance and harmony in life. This motif also reflects the teaching of “Sedulur Papat Limo Pancer”, which teaches about the four main directions that symbolize the elements of life that must be balanced with conscience as the center. This research uses the literature study method by analyzing various journal articles and relevant books. The results show that there is a strong philosophical connection between the concept of “Manunggaling Kawula Gusti” and the Batik Kawung motif. This motif is not only an artistic expression but also a visual reminder for Javanese people of the importance of maintaining a harmonious relationship with God, fellow humans, and nature. When the bot walks the talk: Investigating the foundations of trust in an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot.

The concept of trust in artificial intelligence (AI) has been gaining increasing relevance for understanding and shaping human interaction with AI systems. Despite a growing literature, there are disputes as to whether the processes of trust in AI are similar to that of interpersonal trust (i.e., in fellow humans). The aim of the present article is twofold. First, we provide a systematic test of an integrative model of trust inspired by interpersonal trust research encompassing trust, its antecedents (trustworthiness and trust propensity), and its consequences (intentions to use the AI and willingness to disclose personal information). Second, we investigate the role of AI personalization on trust and trustworthiness, considering both their mean levels and their dynamic relationships. In two pilot studies (N = 313) and one main study (N = 1,001) focusing on AI chatbots, we find that the integrative model of trust is suitable for the study of trust in virtual AI. Perceived trustworthiness of the AI, and more specifically its ability and integrity dimensions, is a significant antecedent of trust and so are anthropomorphism and propensity to trust smart technology. Trust, in turn, leads to greater intentions to use and willingness to disclose information to the AI. The personalized AI chatbot was perceived as more able and benevolent than the impersonal chatbot. It was also more anthropomorphized and led to greater usage intentions, but not to greater trust. Anthropomorphism, not trust, explained the greater intentions to use personalized AI. We discuss implications for research on trust in humans and in automation. Kesenian Dongkrek Sebagai Upaya Untuk Menyikapi Covid 19 Di Kota Madiun

This study aims to determine the meaning of the use of dongkrek art as local wisdom in an effort to respond to Covid-19 in Madiun City and to explore the material content in dongkrek art, and integrate dongkrek art with learning in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative with an ethnographic method that uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations. The results show that the community carries out mitigation with various activities through supernatural powers and horizontally by establishing good relationships with fellow humans and nature. Dongkrek is a regional art native to Mejayan Village, Mejayan District, Caruban, Madiun City, East Java, Indonesia. This art is in the form of dance and musical accompaniment that tells the story of Raden Ngabei Lo Prawirodipuro's efforts in overcoming the plague. At that time, the Mejayan community was hit by an epidemic. It is said that if in the morning they were sick, they would suddenly die in the afternoon, likewise when they were sick in the afternoon, they would die in the morning. As an effort to overcome the plagueblug, Raden Ngabei Lo Prawirodipuro, who at that time served as Demang, created the dongkrek dance and music. This art is believed to have magical powers to ward off disease and bring safety. Raden Ngabei Lo Prawirodipuro's efforts to ward off the plagueblug were through the movements and accompaniment of dongkrek music which contained symbols that symbolized the struggle against disease and evil forces. This dance also contains prayers and hopes that the community will be given health and prosperity. Dongkrek art is not just dance and music, but also a reflection of the history and culture of the Madiun community. Through Dongkrek, we can learn a lot about noble values, cultural resilience, and the importance of preserving ancestral heritage. The noble values contained in dongkrek must be maintained and preserved. This art is one of the cultural identities of the City of Madiun.

Maximizing the Role of Parents as a Container for Forming Children of the Qur'anic Generation from the Perspective of Surah Al-Luqman

Climate change mitigation: A question of humanitarian or environmental motivation?

Addressing climate change at the individual level and the associated conflict between self-interest and the common good is viewed primarily as a motivational challenge in the environmental domain. However, due to this conflict, climate change mitigation has also been framed as a classical social dilemma that requires direct, overt cooperation with other people. Thus, there seems to be a lack of clarity in the extents to which climate change mitigation depends on humanitarian-prosocial motivation or environmental motivation. This study investigates the extents to which individual climate change mitigation is driven by humanitarian and environmental motivation – two motivations that are rooted in an inherent human prosocial propensity that stems from a combination of our genetic makeup and our established culture of prosocial behavior. We conducted a laboratory experiment using an adapted Public Goods Game in an environmental context with N = 201 participants. We found that both humanitarian and environmental motivation positively predicted pro-environmental choices in the Public Goods Game, with humanitarian motivation as the stronger predictor. On a theoretical level, these results suggest that environmentally positive behaviors that demand significant cooperation could be more accurately understood as both humanitarian-prosocial behaviors and pro-environmental actions. On a practical level, interventions should be tailored to the required level of cooperation, for instance, through framing or by promoting a sense of connectedness with either fellow humans or nature.

Living sustainability: reflections on the value of everyday practices

ABSTRACT This article explores the value of small-scale, intimate, and personal everyday practices, often hidden from the public eye, for sustainability transformations. It invites fellow humans to see value, depth and hope in small-scale transformations and relies on a long-term autoethnographic project of its author as a practitioner of voluntary simplicity and extreme minimalism. Via methodological contemplations underpinned by critical realism, the article celebrates deviation from positivistic conceptions of science that encourage researchers to maintain distinct identities: scientists during our working hours and humans beyond this. It aims to nurture a more holistic approach to ourselves as both researchers and practitioners and reveal the struggles of navigating and reconciling these different roles.

The Tradition of Saparan in Yeh Sumbul Village, Jembrana, Bali

The Saparan Tradition in Yeh Sumbul Village, Jembrana, Bali, is seen as a manifestation of local wisdom that reflects the balance of relationships between humans and God, fellow humans, and nature. This study investigates this tradition. This tradition is carried out every Sapar month in the Islamic calendar as a way to express gratitude to God and ask for people to be protected from disasters. With strong moral, spiritual, and social values, the Saparan Tradition includes various activities, such as parties, tahlilan, and religious rituals. This tradition is closely related to the idea of Tri Hita Karana, a Balinese philosophical concept that emphasizes harmony between humans and God (Parhyangan), fellow humans (Pawongan), and nature (Palemahan). To understand how the Saparan Tradition reflects the relationship between humans and God, fellow humans, and the environment, this study analyzes data from observations, interviews, and documentation. The study shows that the Yeh Sumbul Saparan Tradition enhances spirituality, solidarity, and love for ancestral culture as well as maintaining social and ecological balance. “Metri Deso” in Village Cleansing Rituals As an Effort to Preserve the Local Wisdom of Javanese Culture: Phenomenological Study in Blau Hamlet, Permanu Village, Pakisaji Subdistrict, Malang Regency

“Metri Deso” or clean village is a local wisdom tradition that needs to be preserved. Blau Hamlet, Permanu Village, Pakisaji Subdistrict held a village cleanup to thank God. This study aims to determine and analyze the success of “metri deso” in preserving local wisdom. Previous research discussed a lot about community participation as an effort to clean the village and preserve Javanese culture. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that “metri deso” is a village cleaning ritual performed to preserve wisdom in the form of the nation’s religious wealth through worship and helping and showing tolerance and compassion for fellow humans. Thus, it can be concluded that in Blau hamlet of Permanu village, Pakisaji sub-district, the Javanese tradition has been well-preserved through the “metri deso” activity in the village cleaning ritual. Relevansi Teori Belajar Humanistik Carl Rogers dalam Pendidikan Karakter Perspektif Islam

This study aims to analyze the relevance of Carl Rogers' humanistic learning theory in Islamic perspective character education. The type of research used is qualitative research with library research method. The data analysis technique consists of three stages, namely: data condensation stage, data presentation stage, and verification or conclusion drawing stage. The data validity test is carried out using the source triangulation method. Carl Rogers' Humanistic Learning Theory has relevance in the context of Islamic character education. Five important things in the learning process of desire to learn, meaningful learning, learning without punishment, learning by own initiative, and learning and change, provide a useful foundation for the development of students' character and spirituality in accordance with Islamic principles. Both approaches emphasize the importance of active learners, meaningful personal experiences, a positive learning environment, and a continuous process of change. The integration of these two approaches provides a strong foundation for creating more meaningful and effective learning in shaping learners' character in accordance with Islamic teachings that prioritize kindness, justice and compassion in relation to God, fellow humans and the universe. Therefore, the relevance of Carl Rogers' humanistic learning theory in Islamic perspective character education brings a sustainable positive impact in shaping a responsible and noble generation.

LoVi App: Android Application-based Image Classification for Low Vision

In Indonesia, many people with visual impairments are drawing public attention to their rights as fellow humans. One of the limitations that individuals with low vision face is their ability to recognize objects and navigate their surroundings due to difficulties in visual perception. In this modern era, deep learning technologies, especially in image classification, can help people with low vision overcome these challenges. In this paper, we discuss a deep learning system that optimizes image classification on users' smartphones to enhance visual support for individuals with low vision. We present an Android-based app, LoVi, designed to assist users with low vision. Powered by core systems within Sherpa models (TrotoarNet, IndoorNet, and CurrencyNet), LoVi has three modes: outdoor, indoor, and currency. The LoVi application provides over 80% accuracy for navigation on sidewalks, indoor object recognition, and currency identification. TrotoarNet aids in sidewalk navigation, IndoorNet assists with indoor object identification, and CurrencyNet recognizes Rupiah banknotes. Additionally, low-vision users can receive voice feedback for further accessibility.

Response to A Story During Cognitive Screening – Expression of the Inherent Awareness of Survival of Fellow Human Beings

Abstract Background The comprehensive assessment of cognition should include the immediate recall of information as well as that provided after delay. The phenomenon of patients providing intrusions is well recognised in the realm of cognitive assessment. Certain intrusions have been found to recur across patient performances. Methods Retrospective analysis was undertaken of patients (n=9) screened for dementia using the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (Pearson) between 2022 and 2024. Data was sourced from MDT notes cataloguing the results of memory tests undertaken whereby the patient had added information regarding loss of life for persons involved in a fire. Data were elicited regarding List Learning (LL) and Recall; Story Memory and Recall, Figure Copy and Recall. The final sheet was used to elicit scores for each category. Results Median age was 76 (range 61-84 years). Male to female was 4:5. Patients were found to make a comment regarding loss of life e.g. ‘nobody was hurt’ where the information did not exist in the original story script. This occurred equally at Story Memory Stage and Story Recall Stage (77.7%). When compared with list and figure copy elements- only one patient also had errors in both LL and memory figure. Six patients had intrusion errors across other elements. Where the story was accentuated in both immediate and delayed recall stages- pts had intrusions in list learning (n=2, 22%) list recall (n=3, 33.3%) but no intrusions on Figure Copy- immediate or delayed. Conclusion Although this cohort of patients was small- each one of them included the status of life lost when given a short story to recite and then recall. These comments occurred both on immediate episodic recall and after delay and were not always associated with a replicated intrusion phenomena across other elements. This inherent interest in the survival of other humans is worth highlighting.
