Analysis of factors affecting purchase decision on freshwater ornamental fish (Case Study: Bandung Ornamental Fish Center, Bandung City, West Java)

Bandung Ornamental Fish Center is one of the freshwater ornamental fish markets in Bandung City. Since its inauguration in 2020, Sentra Ikan Hias Bandung has experienced a decrease in the number of sellers due to the consumer interest on freshwater ornamental fish. This research aims to analyze the consumer characteristics and the factors of consumer behavior and marketing mix (4P) that influence consumer purchasing decisions for freshwater ornamental fish at the Bandung Ornamental Fish Center. This research was conducted from 19 December 2022 to 19 January 2023. The method used in this research is a case study using descriptive analysis for consumer characteristic and statistical inferential methods using PLS-SEM to analyze the factor affecting purchase decision on freshwater ornamental fish. The data collection technique used in this research is a questionnaire and interview. Data analysis in this reaserch uses the PLS-SEM analysis method with a five-point Likert scale using SmartPLS 3 software with nine variables con-sist of personal, psychology, social, culture, price, product, pro-motion, place and purchase decision that listed in Table 1. The analysis results showed that the factors influencing purchase decision of a freshwater ornamental fish at the Bandung Ornamental Fish Center were psychological, social and promotional factors. Researchers suggest the marketers carry out promotions related to consumer psychological and social factors to attract consumer interest.Keywords: Consumer behavior; factor analysis; freshwater ornamental fish; marketing mix; purchase decision; PLS-SEM

Factors Affecting Purchase Decision of Life Insurance Policy of Customer in Chitwan

Background: Life insurance policy enjoys a unique position in the field of investments and should be judged in this light. The policy owner behaviour towards life insurance than the conventional savings and protection view. The objective of this research was to assess the intentions of people towards purchasing decision of life insurance, to analyze the awareness level of life insurance in Chitwan and to examine the relationship among perception, attitudes, awareness and purchase decision.Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted among 150 policy holder respondents in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal. Non probability purposive sampling technique was used for data collection. Data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical tools. In this research Independent Variables was (Purpose of Buying, perception and evaluation alternatives, trust) while dependent Variable was (Purchase of Life Insurance Policy). Data was analysed by using SPSS 20. P-value <0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results: Majority of the respondents are between 30-40 years age group which is 37.3 percent of the respondents, 26.7 percent of the respondents are 20-30 age groups. Correlation coefficient between the independent variables purpose of buying and dependent variable factor affecting customer purchase life insurance policy is found to be statistically significant. Conclusions: The study concludes that the factors affecting customer purchase on life insurance policy includes education, economic status, medical emergencies, better returns, comparison with other insurance companies, perception of individuals, available alternatives and trust.

Factors affecting purchase decision of cosmetic Products in Haryana

The current research aims to better understand the motivations behind cosmetics purchases in the Indian state of Haryana. In the state of Haryana, 754 people were randomly chosen to participate. The data was then subjected to Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Significant at P 0.05, KMO = 0.896, and Bartlett's sphericity test; all other covariates have a P value of >0.621. The study demonstrated four factors and their associated items at the 5% level of significance. It has been found that these elements play a major role in the selection of cosmetics in Haryana. The higher the score on the data and information construct, the more dependable the elements that influence the buyer to make a purchase of cosmetics.

Factors affecting purchase decision by applying green marketing campaign

This study aims to determine the effect of green brand image, green price, and brand prestige on purchasing decisions for AQUA Returnable Glass Bottle products. This is a quantitative study with the population of casual dining restaurant customers in Badung Regency. They have decided to purchase and consume AQUA Returnable Glass Bottle products. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires and Likert scale. The sample was taken by using a purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The result showed that partially green brand image, green price, and brand prestige have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Simultaneously, green brand image, green price, and brand prestige have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The research implication for AQUA is that it is recommended to be able to maintain the image it already has while still applying green marketing as a tool to support product-purchasing decisions. For further research, the researchers should add other variables and indicators such as green products, green advertising, lifestyle, and social influence.

Factors Affecting Purchase Decision in Indonesian E-Commerce Industry

E-commerce is currently popular in Indonesia and has changed the way a business is transacted. The E-commerce industry itself has become a vital part of the economy in Indonesia. Many are trying to get as many users as possible and competing with each other to be the top one with various marketing strategies, yet the strategies have not always been considered sufficient. This is quantitative research with data collection through questionnaires to the 326 respondents, but 121 respondents did not pass the filter questions and get 205 respondents for valid data. The data analysis method used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results show that price discount, advertising effectiveness, and brand awareness have a significant positive effect on purchase decisions. The results show that attractiveness has a significant positive effect on brand awareness. The results also show trustworthiness and expertise which has no significant effect on brand awareness.

Factors Affecting Purchase Decision of Halal Processed Meat for Muslim Consumers in Semarang

This research analyzes price perception, product quality, halal awareness, halal certification, and halal marketing as factors affecting purchase decision through purchase intention as an intervening variable. The data collected through a questionnaire survey consisting of 130 Muslim consumers in Semarang who purchased halal processed meat products use Structural Equation Model – AMOS analysis. The results of the analysis show that price perception has an insignificant effect on purchase intention and purchase decision. The product quality has a significant effect on purchase intention and an insignificant effect on purchase decision. Halal awareness has a significant effect on purchase intention and an insignificant effect on purchase decision. Halal certification has a significant effect on purchase intention and an insignificant effect on purchase decision. Halal marketing has a significant effect on purchase intention and an insignificant effect on purchase decision. The effect of mediation, quality product towards purchase decision through purchase intention as an intervening variable can mediate as a full mediation.

IRONY OF INDONESIAN INTERNET SHOPPING BEHAVIOUR AND WHAT E-COMMERCE SHOULD PURSUE IT

Current research from Hootsuite & We Are Social (2018) showed that Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest number of internet users in the world. However, only 21% are making purchase through e-commerce. It leaves 79% of potential consumers to be acquired. Such a big business potential stimulate a question, how can this be? And further question, how e-commerce marketer can tap in this big untouched opportunity? The study will try to list on the factors affecting purchase decision through online platform and the online consumer behaviour. Then, study the market through Yasa Singgih’s, the owner of Men’s Republic (an Indonesian fashion e-commerce founded in 2014), Instagram followers about their preferences, expectation, and holdbacks to do online purchase and to get deeper understanding by interviewing ten people from survey population. The result shows that some of them are already purchasing things from e-commerce however system adoption and trust issues are still the main holdbacks. Finally, the paper conclude that there are five things can be done to tap-in the potential market: to focus marketing on the most digital literate customers (millennials and Gen-Z), to use social media as marketing and communication channel (both before and after sales), provide better back-end (database and preferences) and front-end security (product quality and delivery time), and last but not least to urge government and telecommunication companies to enhance connectivity quality (speed and coverage).

A Study on Factors Affecting Purchase Decision Based on Awareness, Affordability, Adoptability and Availability of FMCG products in Rural India

The word marketing is proposed as an organizational steps and a sequence of processes which creates communicates and deliver value to customers and maintains customer partnerships in order to provide advantages to the organization and its stake holders. According to Kotlar “Marketing is a social and managerial process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating, offering and freely exchanging products and services of value with others”. Another marketing activity is rural marketing where one protagonist participant belongs to the rural area. This signifies that rural marketing comprises of input and output marketing of products or services between rural areas and other topographical areas. Such marketing is merchandise that has been specifically designed for the non-urban consumers along with the glossaries which in particular suits their needs and to make them acquainted about the products which they are not aware of. The motive of this paper is to know about the rural markets and the factors which affect the buying decision of rural consumers on HUL’s FMCG products. The paper attempts to comprehend the rural market, significance and present scenario of rural market in the context of FMCG products. The principal objective of the study is to analyze the strength and opportunities of HUL’s FMCG in rural markets of India especially in U.P. East and investigate various problems that are being encountered by the rural marketer.

Factors affecting purchase decision for Indian two wheelers in Sri Lankan market

Within the past decade two wheeler usage indicates a rapid growth in Sri Lankan market. Among the two wheeler population, Indian two wheeler brads representing a huge portion. In this research study researcher put effort to find out what are the factors effect on decisions of consumers on Indian two wheelers as a novel research. Main purpose of this study was to identify why Indian two wheeler brands becoming more popular and which factors effect on the purchasing decision and open up the gateway to study on this area among this study. Researcher’s previous working experience at Automotive Industry was lead to conduct the study. Data were collected from four districts representing the Sri Lankan population using questionnaire. According to the literature review researcher employed six variables namely Price, Technology and Design, Product Awareness, Spare Parts Availability, After Sales Services and Economic Conditions. Data was gathered from two wheeler users and non-users who are having ether two wheeler or willing to have a two wheeler. The findings also revealed several implications for marketers to better segmentation and targeting in the automobile industry especially on two wheeler sales. Further contribution of the demographic factors such as age, gender, income level, education level how far impacted on the purchasing decisions of the two wheelers and those are helpful to marketing managers to develop their strategies. Ultimately the study provides important insides how the variables are impact on purchasing decisions towards the Indian two wheelers at the Sri Lankan market.

Factors Affecting Purchase Decision of Canned Tuna Brands in Maldives

This study aimed to identify factors affecting purchase decision of canned tuna brands in the Maldives. Consumer decision making behaviour theories, models and past literature was reviewed to recognize various factors that affect purchase decision, followed by generating a multi-factor questionnaire with a Likert-Scale from 1-5 which helped conduct a pilot test to select most appropriate variables for this study. Theoretical framework was developed consisting of five major independent variables; social factors, product characteristics, company characteristics, marketing activities and Psychological factors. Data was collected using convenient sampling from a total of 450 customers visiting four of the largest supermarkets in Male’, the capital city of Maldives to ensure the reliability and validity of the research. The collected data was analyzed using statistical software’s AMOS 22. Confirmatory Factor analysis was used to confirm the factors that loads on each component and “Psychological factor” was removed from the original construct to meet the standard loading. Structural Equation Modeling was then performed to examine the path analysis and to test the hypotheses. Results indicated product characteristics to have a positive significant impact on consumer’s purchase decision. However, social factors, company characteristics and marketing activities were found to have no significance on purchase decision. Furthermore, demographic characters were analyzed for its significance; females, housewives and entrepreneurs were determined to specifically have a stronger purchase intention. Therefore, product characteristics of canned tuna such as taste, packaging and nutrition are most important factors that have a strong influence on consumers purchase decision of canned tuna brands in Maldives. This study included only consumers in Male’, hence further studies may include other regions of the country, especially the populated atolls. Future researches may also aim on deeper perspective of product characteristics such as impact of various canned tuna flavors; tuna in sunflower oil, tuna in olive oil or brine. As well discovering impact of various labelling or brand characters that influence consumers purchase decision would be resourceful to canned tuna producers and marketers.

Consumers’ Attitude towards Branded Apparels: Gender Perspective

The relationship between consumers’ decision-making styles and their choice between domestic and imported brand clothing is investigated using a sample of Indian consumers. The objective of this paper is to gauge the factors affecting purchase decision taking gender perspective as base. Empirical findings are calculated using survey technique and chi square test with a sample of 320 participants in Delhi and NCR. The objective of this paper is to analyze the significance of demographic profile of consumers affecting the purchase decision of branded garments and to observe from gender perspective the consumer awareness about different apparel brands available in the Indian market and also to find out whether there is a significant difference in total expenditure on branded apparels done by males vis- a - vis females. The results exhibit no significant differences in the brand awareness, shopping frequency and shopping expenditure between males and females.
