Pelaksanaan Program Ekstrakurikuler Tahfidz Al-Qur’an di MTs Negeri 1 Palembang

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an extracurricular program at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang as an effort to develop students' character based on Islamic values. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of the study consist of 12 individuals, including the vice principal in charge of student affairs, the head of the tahfidz program, teachers, and students participating in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program. Data collection methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employs a phenomenological approach by examining phenomena or events occurring in the surrounding environment and life. The process involves three steps: collecting data on the implementation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an extracurricular program, reducing or categorizing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions, followed by validating the data. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an extracurricular program at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang takes place after school activities, focusing on memorization and revision (murojaah). The memorization methods used align with those established at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang and are adjusted to the methods preferred by teachers and students while ensuring recitations adhere to tajweed rules.

Implementasi Ekstrakurikuler untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Santri dalam Menulis Kaligrafi di Ponpes Riyadlus Sholihin Kota Probolinggo

This study seeks to provide a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of calligraphy-focused extracurricular activities at Pondok Pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin, examining their role in enhancing students' creative capacities in Arabic calligraphy. Historically, calligraphy emerged as a means of venerating the Qur'anic verses, but its development over time has shifted towards emphasizing aesthetic values. The discipline of calligraphy encompasses several distinct styles, including khat naskhi, khat tsulus, khat diwani, khat diwani jali, khat riq’ah, khat farisi, and khat kufi. At Pondok Pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin, calligraphy is embedded within the framework of religious education, prioritizing the artful transcription of Qur'anic text. This research adopts a qualitative methodology with a descriptive orientation, employing analytical techniques to delve into the subject matter. The analytical framework utilized is derived from Miles and Huberman, encompassing stages such as data reduction, data presentation, conclusion formulation, and data verification. The findings underscore the substantial impact of calligraphy extracurricular programs at Pondok Pesantren Riyadlus Sholihin, located in Probolinggo City, in fostering students' creative expression and technical proficiency in calligraphy. Moreover, these activities extend beyond technical skill development, nurturing a deeper appreciation for Islamic art and cultural heritage through structured training and sustained mentorship.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to clarify the overall structure and meaning of their experiences by deeply exploring the phenomena and essence of the comparison and program experience of counseling psychology majors. Methods Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 10 counseling psychology majors from G University in Seoul. All collected data were transcribed, and Colaizzi's four-step analysis method was used for data analysis. Through this process, meanings were extracted from experiential statements, and themes and categories were subsequently identified. Results As a result, seven major categories were derived, which include various psychological changes such as competency enhancement, internal conflict, positive self-resolution, and a proactive life direction experienced by students through extracurricular programs. Conclusions The results of this study allow for a deep understanding of not only the changes in major competencies according to the characteristics of the counseling psychology major but also the complex psychological changes and personal growth. This provides important implications for the balanced provision of curricular and extracurricular activities and for the design and policy-making of programs aimed at practical competency.

Analisis Literatur Tentang Penerapan Pendidikan Multikultural Di Tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama

This study examines the implementation of multicultural education in Indonesian Junior High Schools (SMP), aiming to explore and evaluate innovative strategies in creating a more inclusive and harmonious learning environment. Through a systematic literature review methodology, the research analyzes various academic references to understand best practices in implementing multicultural education. The findings reveal diverse approaches adopted by various junior high schools, including the integration of democratic and humanistic values in the curriculum and the development of extracurricular programs that support cross-cultural understanding. Key findings indicate that schools adopting a holistic approach, integrating both curricular and extracurricular aspects, demonstrate higher success rates in creating inclusive learning environments. This research contributes to the development of effective multicultural education models at the junior high school level, concluding that successful implementation depends on the systematic integration of diversity values, school community support, and student-centered learning methods. The research findings have significant implications for developing educational policies to address the needs of an increasingly diverse society.

Pelatihan Mikrokontroler Dasar Arduino UNO dan Simulasi Tinkercad

The Electrical Engineering study program of the Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia has been collaborating with Harapan Bagi Bangsa Christian Middle School, Cilincing, North Jakarta for several years in an extracurricular program for junior high school students, as a form of community service from Electrical Engineering lecturers. The extracurricular activity program implemented is in the form of basic electronics training. The theme of the activity varies, according to the requests and needs of the partner schools. The first activity is to provide basic electronics skills training to students. This program received a very positive response from teachers and students. From the evaluation results of previous activities, all students wanted training activities with advanced materials. The training provided is an introduction to basic Arduino Uno microcontrollers using Tinkercad simulation software. The purpose of this activity is to conduct training on the introduction and how to program the Arduino Uno microcontroller to turn on Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). The training was carried out at Harapan Bagi Bangsa Christian Middle School. The training began by assembling the resistor and LED components on the project board. After all the components were installed, an Arduino Uno microcontroller program was created to turn on the LEDs alternately according to the order of the program created. The training used Tinkercad simulation software and the Arduino Uno microcontroller board. From the results of the student evaluation, 92.2% of students gave good and excellent ratings, while 7.8% gave neutral ratings for this training.

Peran Madrasah dalam Membentuk Karakter Siswa Kelas IV untuk Menghadapi Era Digital Di MI Al Mu’awanah Cibinong Bogor

Madrasahs as educational institutions play a very important role in the character building of students. Madrasahs are responsible for the moral education of students and more so than other educational institutions. Madrasah is a place to provide moral and moral education, not just a place to learn science. The purpose of the research conducted was to reveal the Role of Madrasahs in Shaping the Character of Grade IV Students to Face the Digital Age at MI Al Mu'awanah Cibinong Bogor. The method used in this research is qualitative research and data collection is done by means of observation, interviews, documentation While data collection is done by collecting primary and secondary data in the field. The results showed that 1) Madrasah already has a vision to create a generation that is intellectually intelligent, and also noble and adaptive to technological developments and a mission to improve the ability to use information and communication technology (ICT) to support the learning process of teachers and students in schools. 2) Madrasah shape students' character by teaching digital literacy to students so that they can navigate the digital world intelligently and critically, and avoid negative content 3) Madrasah shape students' character by explaining to students about the negative impact of gadget addiction and directing students to make a schedule for gadget use and interesting alternative activities such as sports, arts, or traditional games and extracurricular programs.

Self-Growth in the Extra-curricular Programs Experience : Focused on Undergraduate Counseling Psychology Students at G University

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and processes of self-growth in extracurricular programs. For this purpose, 10 students majoring in counseling psychology were selected, and their statements about various extracurricular experiences were collected. The collected data was analyzed focusing on the theme of self-growth, using the Repetitive Comparative Analysis method. The analysis resulted in 69 concepts, 14 categories, and 5 domains (stages). These domains, when viewed as a self-growth process, consist of 1) initial challenge stage, 2) perception transformation stage, 3) motivation and goal-setting stage, 4) practice and effort stage, and 5) growth and integration stage. At each stage, participants recognized anxiety and fear, developed positive self-awareness, voluntarily set goals, and made continuous efforts. This process led to relational growth and integration of knowledge, revealing the meaning of self-growth in extracurricular experiences that helped both liberal arts and major studies overall. By presenting the step-by-step process of self-growth in extracurricular experiences, this study helps understand the challenges students face and their process of overcoming them. These findings have implications for supporting students' holistic development and creating a student-centered educational environment. Furthermore, they can be used as foundational data for research on reexamining the direction of university education, developing and improving effective extracurricular programs, and analyzing specific factors.

The Impacts of the Flipped Learning-Based Extracurricular English Resume-Writing Course

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of the flipped learning-based extracurricular English resume-writing program in order to suggest various models for extracurricular English programs and to improve Korean EFL college students’ career planning as well as professional communication skills in global settings. Following the flipped learning approach, the students watched a video lecture on writing effective resumes prior to the in-class activities. During the in-class activities, the students completed a quiz that tested their understanding of the content presented in the video lecture, and then the students created a resume in pairs in response to a job advertisement with the support and feedback of the instructor. Each student also created the resume that they would like to have in four years’ time and provided and received feedback in a peer review session. The data from 50 participants who completed resumes before and after the course and post-survey questionnaires were analyzed. Analyses revealed that the program positively affected students’ English resume-writing skills, increased their confidence, and offered opportunities for their career planning. Given that little research examining the effects of a resume-writing course has been carried out, this study contributes to the literature in terms of providing empirical evidence of its effectiveness and suggests a desirable model for an extracurricular English program. This study also offers pedagogical implications for Korean EFL students in that including specific, quantifiable details in the experience section of a resume should be emphasized in future similar programs.

유아교육 전공 학생들의 비교과프로그램 운영에 대한 인식조사 - K 대학 유아교육과 학생을 대상으로

This study surveyed 319 students majoring in early childhood education at a four-year K-university located in Gyeonggi-do on their perception of the extracurricular program. Through this, it is intended to provide basic data on the development and operation of extracurricular program for students majoring in early childhood education in the future. This research tool is a questionnaire related to the operation of extracurricular program and was analyzed by the SPSS 24 statistical program. Early childhood education students at K University participated the most in the program to promote career and practical skills in the field. First-year students' participation was the lowest, while fourth-year students who were about to graduate and find employment were the highest. Satisfaction with the 'creative personality' and 'convergence' programs was relatively low, and the satisfaction of other programs all showed a score of 3.4 or more on a 4-point scale and were statistically significant. As a result of DUNCAN post-test, the satisfaction of first-year students was relatively low, so improvement measures are required. In the 'teaching personality' program, the effect of the program was the largest, while the 'creative personality' program showed a relatively low degree of improvement, and these results were statistically very significant. The 3,4rd grade, who is about to practice childcare, had the highest rate of request for program opening, and the 1st grade had the lowest rate. Early childhood education students were more likely to demand that a extracurricular program of major-related and digital use be conducted at home non-face-to-face within 2 hours during the afternoon or evening of the semester.

Analysis of Nutrition Knowledge After One Year of Intervention in a National Extracurricular Athletics Program: A Cross-Sectional Study with Pair-Matched Controls of Polish Adolescents

Background: Nutrition knowledge may be translated into adequate dietary intake and proper eating habits, so adolescent education programs focusing on improving eating habits and nutrition knowledge are needed. The aim of the cross-sectional study with pair-matched controls was to assess the Consumer Nutrition Knowledge Scale (CoNKS) results and its determinants after one year of intervention in a national extracurricular athletics program within a pair-matched sample of Polish adolescents. Methods: The #goathletics Study evaluated a Polish national extracurricular athletics program, ‘Athletics for all’, being a voluntary and free-of-charge physical activity program organized by the Polish Athletics Association. The study allowed comparing the intervention group of adolescents aged 10–14 years, participating in the program for at least 9 months (a school year) and a pair-matched group not participating in it, while the matching was based on city, gender, and age (each group: n = 506 adolescents, n = 281 females and n = 225 males). The nutrition knowledge was assessed using a Consumer Nutrition Knowledge Scale (CoNKS), and during the analysis, the following factors were taken into account: body weight, height, Body Mass Index (BMI), waist circumference, and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR). Results: The ‘Athletics for all’ program participation influenced not only the total CoNKS score (p < 0.0001) but also the scores in all studied areas—within procedural nutrition knowledge (p = 0.0002), declarative nutrition knowledge on nutrients (p = 0.0001), and declarative nutrition knowledge on calories (p < 0.0001), and program participants revealed a stronger understanding of all the studied areas compared to non-participating individuals. Gender, BMI, and central obesity tendency were not associated with the total CoNKS score (p > 0.05), or any of the studied areas (p > 0.05). The statistically significant differences in the number of correct answers were observed for four items within procedural nutrition knowledge, for four items within declarative nutrition knowledge on nutrients, and for four items within declarative nutrition knowledge on calories (p < 0.05), while for all of them, ‘Athletics for all’ program participants revealed a stronger understanding. Conclusions: One year of intervention in a national extracurricular athletics program significantly influenced the nutrition knowledge of the studied group of adolescents aged 10–14 years. While compared with the pair-matched control group of Polish adolescents, they were characterized by a stronger understanding of all areas of nutrition knowledge.

The method in this study uses qualitative methods at MTs Al Amiriyyah Blokagung Banyuwangi. This research design uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Qualitative research with a case study approach. The sources of information in the research are the Principal, Teachers and Students. This data collection technique uses observation, interviews, and documentation. This data analysis uses data collection data collection, data reduction and categorization, data appearance and conclusion drawing. The results in this study that the transformation of ethical leadership in Islamic education management in madrasah through the Development of Work Ethic and Professionalism of Teachers, Development of Social and Emotional Skills of Students and Improvement of Madrasah Image and Reputation. development of work ethic and professionalism of teachers with Commitment to Duty, Teaching Quality, Self-Development, Discipline and Work Ethics, Involvement in the School Community, Self Evaluation and Reflection, Cooperation and Collaboration, and Adaptability and Innovation. The development of social and emotional skills is realized through extracurricular programs. Improving the image and reputation of a madrasah is key in attracting prospective students, gaining community support, and building strong trust.

Evaluating the Effectiveness of an Extracurricular Teacher Education Training Program for DigCompEdu Competences

In the ongoing era of digital transformation, it is imperative for teachers to equip learners with essential digital competences to navigate the intricacies of the digital landscape successfully. As future in-service teachers function as role models and educators for the proper use of digital technology, pre-service teachers must develop adequate digital proficiency. This holds particularly true in Germany, where the prevailing competence levels of pre-service teachers are reportedly suboptimal. To this end, an extracurricular training program for pre-service teachers, based on the DigCompEdu framework, was implemented from 2021 to 2024, coinciding with COVID-19 pandemic-related limitations. A total of 242 pre-service teachers registered for the program, and 40 completed it. Employing a pre–post design, we assessed (1) attitudes towards digital technology and digital learning, (2) competence beliefs, and (3) test-based competences. Pre–post comparisons show an improvement only in participants’ confidence in deploying digital technologies for subject-specific purposes. Unexpectedly, no other statistically significant differences were observed. These findings point at shortcomings in the program, which are discussed to highlight potential areas for refinement and improvement in future programs and curricular implementation.

The role of positive leadership in influencing recreational and extracurricular (R&E) programs to address mental wellbeing of prisoners.

Mental health issues such as stress, anxiety and depression are prevalent among the prisoners, highlighting the urgent need to address mental health challenges in prison facilities. Existing research highlights the crucial role of recreational and extracurricular (R&E) programs in promoting the mental well-being of prisoners. Another stream of literature identifies the importance of effective leadership within the prison system to the success of these programs and services aimed at improving the mental health of incarcerated individuals. The purpose of this study is to provide a thorough examination of the breadth, scope and characteristics of the published literature, focusing on how positive leadership in prison settings can foster the success of R&E programs in addressing mental health challenges among prisoners. In this scoping review, a systematic literature review (SLR), using the guidelines of preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis (PRISMA, 2020) by Page et al. (2021), was followed which provides guidelines for study selection and research question, identification of relevant studies via databases and registers, multi-step screening to exclude literatures that are not directly relevant and finalizing body of literature for theory development, summarizing and reporting. The included studies for theory development were appraised for quality using methodology-specific tools. A critical narrative synthesis was adopted to present a theoretical framework for positive leadership influence on R&E programs to promote prisoner engagement and their mental well-being. The SLR procedure resulted in a total of 122 studies that met the inclusion criteria for the topics of the current paper. The finalized list of studies that were used for theory development included 21studies in the area of prison and prison system (including organizations), 33 in the area of individual and team behavior (including inmates and correctional officers), 26 in the area of leadership (both organizational and correctional facilities), 12 in the area of R&E (including training and education), 31 in the area of mental health and behavior and 2 studies on research methods. Of these 122 studies, 83 studies were peer-reviewed scientific publications, selected chapters from 7 books, while the remaining 32 included nonscientific and anecdotal reports. Despite the plethora of literature on the significance of effective leadership within organizational strategies and operations, there remains a notable gap in literature regarding the role of leadership and other enabling factors in the implementation and management of effective programs within correctional facilities aimed at improving the mental well-being of prisoners. This paper explores the role and relationship of leadership and R&E programs and activities in prisons to improve the mental well-being of prisoners. Specifically, a program's resource sufficiency, positive reinforcement of prisoner behavior during the engagement and psychological conditions of the program are critical for successful prisoner engagement in such programs. Based on organizational theories of positive leadership and engagement (i.e. prisoner participation and engagement in R&E programs), this study offers four propositions to develop a theoretical framework of positive leadership in influencing such programs, which in turn can be a catalyst to reduce mental health issues among prisoners in correction facilities.

Peran Kepala Madrasah dalam Mengimplementasikan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah

The implementation of school-based management, the madrasah head is a driving actor, determines the direction of madrasah policy, which will determine how the objectives of madrasah and education in general are realized. This study aims to: (1) To find out the planning process of madrasah principals in the implementation of MBS at Madrasah Aliyah Al Azhar Modung Bangkalan, (2) To find out the role of madrasah principals as educators in school-based management at Madrasah Aliyah Al Azhar Modung Bangkalan, (3) To find out the role of madrasah principals as supervisors in school-based management at Madrasah Aliyah Al Azhar Modung Bangkalan. This type of research includes field research, using qualitative methods using a descriptive approach. While collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. The research findings show that: (1) The Planning Process for the Implementation of Madrasah Based Management of Madrasah Aliyah Al Azhar Modung Bangkalan runs quite well and is carried out by involving the committee (student guardians, community leaders and donors) and all other madrasah components. (2) The head of Madrasah Aliyah Al Azhar Modung Bangkalan in implementing MBS as an educator must have the ability to guide teachers, non-teaching staff, students, develop educational staff, science and technology and provide teaching examples. (3) The head of Madrasah Aliyah Al Azhar Modung Bangkalan in implementing MBS as a supervisor must provide guidance, assistance, supervision, assessment on the technical implementation and development of education, teaching, program improvement, teaching activities. And must have the ability to compile, implement clinical, non-clinical, extra-curricular supervision programs.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION IN THE FUNCTION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

The main goal of this paper is to determine the level of development of entrepreneurial education in the Republic of Serbia, bearing in mind the fact that entrepreneurial education plays a significant role in encouraging entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurship. Acquiring and developing entrepreneurial competences in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for persons older than 15 years is also achieved through the implementation of the functional basic education program for adults. In the design and realization of entrepreneurial activities, the connection of the economy and educational institutions plays a significant role, as well as the introduction and implementation of the dual education system, began to be implemented within certain secondary vocational schools, mainly in the field of technical-technological scientific disciplines. Various extracurricular activities, projects and programs implemented in educational institutions, often with the support of national and/or international institutions, organizations, business entities, etc., make a significant contribution to the acquisition and development of entrepreneurial competences. Entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and abilities can be improved by studying entrepreneurship at universities and colleges, through independent exams and/or modules, at basic, professional, specialist, master's and doctoral studies, with a multidisciplinary approach, mainly within organizational sciences, business economics and management, engineering management and industrial engineering. Entrepreneurship is also successfully studied in the sphere of informal education, through the implementation of various training and development programs created for different age categories of the population, with different levels of entrepreneurial (prior) knowledge. Based on research, it has been established that in the Republic of Serbia, a certain progress has been made in the implementation of entrepreneurial education, which is represented in a formal sense at all levels of education, especially in secondary vocational education. On the other hand, it was established that it is necessary to work on improving the general entrepreneurial climate and entrepreneurial environment, which would stimulate all categories of the population to be additionally educated, activated and realize their entrepreneurial potential. In this, entrepreneurial education plays an extremely important role, which should be continuously improved. It is especially necessary to work on improving the implementation of entrepreneurial education in the youth population. The need to create a program to encourage and improve female entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship of the socio-economically vulnerable population was also identified.

Research on the Relationship between Leadership Skills and Participation in Extracurricular Sports Activities among Junior High School Students in Hainan, China

This research explores the relationship between leadership skills and participation in extracurricular sports activities among junior high school students in Hainan, China. The study aims to investigate how engagement in sports activities outside of the regular curriculum contributes to the development of leadership qualities such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving. A quantitative approach was employed, the surveys with 512 students to gather quantitative data. The findings indicate a significant positive correlation between active involvement in extracurricular sports and the enhancement of leadership skills, with students demonstrating improved confidence, responsibility, and social cohesion. These results suggest that participation in sports plays a critical role in fostering leadership abilities at a formative age, providing valuable insights for educators and policymakers to promote well-rounded student development through extracurricular programs. The study also highlights potential cultural and regional factors unique to Hainan that may influence the dynamics of leadership and sports participation. The research highlights the important role of extracurricular sports in developing leadership skills among junior high school students in Hainan, China. It suggests that schools and policymakers should prioritize sports programs, as they contribute to key leadership traits like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. These activities not only enhance physical health but also foster personal growth, including confidence and responsibility. The study emphasizes the value of designing sports programs that actively promote leadership development and the importance of considering cultural and regional factors. Additionally, it encourages further research on the long-term impact of sports participation on leadership and its transfer to academic and career success.

Esporte no contexto escolar: organização do espaço e tempo extracurricular

Schools have assumed the sports phenomenon in extracurricular programs as a possibility for appropriating culture and expanding social relations, cognitive learning, health, etc. However, However, we know little about the organization of sports as an extracurricular program at school. This is qualitative research that analyzes the results of the Youth School Games in Mato Grosso to identify schools that stand out in the sports scene, selecting those with the greatest participation in the state phase between 2016 and 2019. Thus, from the perspective of Sport Pedagogy this research aimed to investigate the organization of sports in an extracurricular context in schools that take part in the Mato Grosso School Youth Games. From the statements of managers (direction and coordination), it became evident that informality predominates in the organization of extracurricular sports. Thus, the perception that sport contributes positively to the development of young people was confirmed.

Influence of the Sociomotor Component of Sports Practice on Adolescent Sustainability Awareness.

In the context of increasing global focus on sustainability, it is critical to explore how various activities, such as sports, affect young people's understanding of sustainability. Despite the recognized importance, there is a significant research gap regarding the impact of different sports practices especially their sociomotor components on adolescents' sustainability awareness (SA) across environmental, social, and economic dimensions. This cross-sectional study assessed the relationship between the sociomotor component of sports practices and SA in 1157 adolescents, representing diverse genders, socioeconomic backgrounds, and educational levels. The Sustainability Consciousness Questionnaire was employed to measure aspects of sustainability, and sports practices were categorized by their sociomotor components to evaluate their influence on SA. Analysis revealed a significant association between cooperative sports without opposition and SA, particularly within the social dimension. These sports practices, which emphasize team collaboration over competition, were linked to increased social SA among adolescents, suggesting the educational potential of incorporating such sports into academic and extracurricular programs. The findings underscore the potential role of cooperative sports in fostering a deeper understanding of sustainability among youth. By reducing ego-centric behavior and encouraging teamwork, these sports practices may contribute to developing a more socially conscious and sustainable mindset.
