Hemangioma is a rapidly growing benign neoplasm that can cause both esthetic and functional impairment. It is relatively rare in the oral cavity and its most frequent site is the lower lip. Treatment mainly depends on the correct diagnosis and anatomical location. This report describes a clinical case of extensive lip hemangioma treated with cryosurgery. A 42-year-old Caucasian male presented a congenital hemangioma of the lower lip, which had been growing over the years. The patient was treated with 12 sessions of cryosurgery (5 cycles/session) with a significant reduction in the lesion. This minimally invasive approach is more comfortable and involves a lower risk of bleeding when compared to conventional surgery. In conclusion, cryosurgery is a viable option for the treatment of extensive hemangioma of the lip.
