Pengembangan PowerPoint Interaktif Berorientasi terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Dasar Persamaan Diferensial Parsial

The understanding of partial-differential equation basic concept is the basic knowledge needed to understand and determine general solutions on partial-differential equations. From the observation on the partial-differential equation class, there are still some students who are unable to understand the basic concept of partial-differential equation. This study aims to discover how the development of interactive PowerPoint learning media is oriented to the basic concept understanding of partial-differential equation. This study was an R&D research using 4D model by Thiagarajan through some stages namely define, design, develop, and dissemination. The instruments used were media expert and material expert validation sheets, student and practitioner response questionnaires, and Quizizz-assisted tests. There were 14 slides on the results of interactive PowerPoint development which contained the title of materials delivered, the learning goals to be achieved, interactive activities, evaluation and references. The interactive PowerPoint learning media can be said to be valid by media expert judgments and material expert judgments, and is practical to use according to the results of student and practitioner response questionnaires. Interactive PowerPoint media is also effective in helping understand the basic concepts of PDP.

Criterios y parámetros de evaluación de competencias comunicativas e interculturales en estudiantes universitarios quechua hablantes de Perú

The present research is qualitative in nature and its objective is to determine the criteria and parameters for the evaluation of oral and intercultural communicative competence in the Quechua language in order to propose an instrument and a rubric to measure the level of oral competence of these mutually interrelated competencies. This instrument was submitted to the judgment of experts and subsequently applied to Quechua-speaking university students of social sciences and humanities at Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal. These students were selected through the application of a diagnostic file card. The result of the study was that, in order to evaluate oral and intercultural communicative competences in Quechua and other indigenous languages of the country, it is necessary to consider the linguistic, sociolinguistic and pragmatic dimensions of such knowledge, as well as the cognitive, affective and attitudinal aspects, in a holistic way and having interculturality as the transverse axis.

Innovation of Edupreneurship-based Science Literacy Module to Increase Independent Dimensions of Elementary School Students

Independent attitude is one aspect of the main goals of education. However, this independent attitude needs special attention, as currently the strawberry generation phenomenon which is characterized by children's low level of independence is widespread including in Indonesia. This research aims to develop innovative a scientific literacy module based on Ajak-Temani-Mandiri learning model integrated with Edupreneurship to increase the independent attitude of elementary school students. This research used Borg & Gall research and development method with stages, namely: research and information collecting; planning; develop preliminary form of product; preliminary field testing; main product revision; main field testing; operational product revision; operational field testing; final product revision; and dissemination & implementation. The subjects in this research were one expert judgment who validated the instrument, two expert judgments as product validators: namely validators of learning resources and materials. Meanwhile, the limited trial subjects for this research were class IV students at SDNS, totaling 21 students, and for the wide trial, class IV students at SDNM1, totaling 56 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation and questionnaire techniques. The data analysis technique used qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques in the form of inferential statistics. The results showed that a scientific literacy module was produced with characteristics in accordance with the stages of Ajak-Temani-Mandiri learning model integrated by edupreneurship which is valid and proven was able to increase students’ independent attitude of elementary school students.

Evaluating the applicability of a machine learning methodology to improve TMY weather file generation for different Canadian climate zones

Typical meteorological year (TMY) weather files are used in building energy simulations to represent typical weather conditions for a location. The conventional approach to generating TMY weather files uses a set of universal weighting factors determined based on expert judgment. These universal weighting factors can overlook the distinct weather patterns between different locations and their influence on energy performance. A previous study used machine learning to generate location-specific weighting factors with respect to building energy performance. The objectives of this paper are: (1) To assess the applicability of the previous study across varying Canadian climates; (2) To investigate the feasibility of using standardized climate zone-based weighting factors to reduce the computational time associated with extracting location-based weighting factors while still considering local climate conditions to facilitate wider adoption of the proposed methodology. The investigation is conducted for a medium office building for 18 locations across six Canadian climate zones and generates two weather files, TMYSTATION and TMYCZ, for each location. The TMYSTATION weather files are generated using location-based weighting factors for each location whereas the TMYCZ weather files are generated using climate zone-based weighting factors for each location. The coefficient of variation of the root mean square error (CVRMSE) and normalized mean bias error (NMBE) are used to compare the performance of the proposed weather files with conventional weather files using the energy demands obtained through building simulation. The TMYSTATION and TMYCZ weather files outperform the conventional weather files in predicting the long-term energy performance of buildings. Although the TMYSTATION files marginally outperform the TMYCZ weather files in representing the long-term weather data, the convenience of standardized climate zone-based weighting factors allows the approach to be widely deployed.

A Novel Risk-Perception Model Based on Blockchain for Supply Chain Finance of China Real Estate

More than 220 enterprises in China's real estate industry have gone bankrupt, causing serious losses. The National Bureau of Statistics of China showed that the country's investment in property development fell by 8.5% year-on-year, while domestic lending dropped by 11.5% and the use of foreign capital fell by 43%. Upon this, the development of supply chain finance can alleviate the pressure on enterprise funds and stabilize the real estate market. However, risk in supply chain finance is the biggest obstacle to the development of supply chain finance and current researches on risk assessment of supply chain finance face problems such as imprecise classification, slow assessment speed, a small number of samples, and data that is easily tampered with. Therefore, this study integrated graph convolutional neural networks into the smart contracts of the contract layer of blockchain. This integration established a novel intelligent perception model for supply chain finance risk. Based on a consortium chain with the government and enterprises as nodes, the model was established, including risk monitoring, assessment, and categorized early warnings. In the risk assessment part, we compared the graph convolutional neural network with multilayer perceptron and support vector machine finding that the accuracy rate of the graphic convolutional neural network is 94%, which is higher than the above models. The intelligent risk-perception model proposed in this paper operates faster than expert judgment assessments used by banks. It also provides accurate risk levels and quantifies the probability of enterprises being classified as high-risk, offering technical support to regulatory authorities in controlling supply chain financial risk.

Identifying Terms to Represent Concepts of a Work Process Ontology

Objectives: To identify ontology concepts from text documents for the construction of work process ontology. Methods: This study proposes a methodology to identify terms representing a work process ontology concept from a document. The methodology encompasses several key steps: document collecting, text pre-processing, term weighting and analysis, terms mapping, and domain expert relevance judgments. A comparison between the results of three different term weighting schemes, namely the Term Frequency (TF), Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TFIDF), and Mutual Information (MI) is made with the ontology concept that the domain expert has judged. Findings: The approaches adopted in this study have managed to extract ontological concepts from the targeted domain knowledge source. The findings of the comparison analysis suggest that the TFIDF term weighting scheme exhibits better results compared to the TF and MI weighting schemes. Novelty: A work process ontology is a structured knowledge describing daily operations in the government sector. However, there has been little to no effort in building the work process ontology. This study presents an integrated approach for identifying ontology concepts from documents within the domain of the work process. To the utmost extent of our understanding, this research initiative is the initial attempt to introduce a structured methodology for the semi-automatic extraction and evaluation of concepts and relationships within this domain. Microenterprises’ Ability to Repay Debt. Do Saving Literacy and Knowledge Transfer Matter?

The research STEAM educational approach in collaborative learning, Faculty of Pedagogy and Physical Culture – UNE, quantitative approach study, type of applied research, quasi-experimental design, hypothetical deductive method, population in this research the population will be made up of 78. The instrument for the dependent variable collaborative learning which was validated by expert judgment obtained an Applicable declaration, and Cronbach's Alpha reliability, with 0.702 being high reliability. Their results in the pretest that the mean found in the EG = 57.76 regular collaborative learning; CG average = 70.14 good level. In the posttest, the average of the EG = 100.88, a very good collaborative learning, the average of the CG = 72.20, a regular collaborative learning. Conclusion: STEAM educational approach significantly influences collaborative learning, Faculty of Pedagogy and Physical Culture - UNE. (In the posttest z = -6.074, p < 0.05, values where the EG is favored by its average rank that is equal to (38), being evident that it is greater than the CG that obtained (13) as a result. In the posttest after the proposal, according to the Mann Whitney U statistic).

THE APPLICATION OF THE INDEX CARD MATCH LEARNING METHOD IN IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS IN SLOW LEARNER STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 7 SALATIGA

Slow learner students tend to have a difficult grasping power, especially towards reading comprehension so instruments are needed to help them in reading comprehension such as the use of Index Card Match. The Index Card Match learning method is a fun designed learning method that is based on matching cards that are usually used by teachers with notes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the Index Card Match learning method in improving the reading comprehension skills of slow learner students at SMPN 7 Salatiga. This research uses the Quasi Experiment method with the experimental design used in this research is One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. Validity measurement in pre-test and post-test questions as a benchmark to determine the effect of treatment is done by conducting expert judgment. This research was conducted in 3 stages, namely Pre-research (preparation and pre-test, Treatment (Treatment) and End of research. The results showed a significance value of 0.012 (p0.05) and a t-count of -2.197, in other words the use of Index Card Match had a significant effect on the learning process.

Development and Preliminary Validation of a Scale to Measure Perceived Therapist's Knowledge about Gender Identity Diversity among Trans and Non-Binary Individuals in Puerto Rico.

This study aimed to describe the development of the Perceived Therapist's Knowledge about Gender Identity Diversity Scale and to preliminarily validate this scale by describing its psychometric properties. This research instrument was constructed based on the existing literature and recommendations for instrument development. Initially, a 36-item scale was devised to assess perceived openness and knowledge about gender identity diversity in therapy. The content validation process involved 12 expert judges, leading to a refined 25-item scale. Participants consisting of 57 trans and non-binary Puerto Rican individuals completed the scale. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a unidimensional structure, supporting a single factor named "perceived knowledge about gender identity diversity in therapy." The final scale demonstrated excellent reliability (α = 0.978; Sα = 0.980; ω = 0.979), indicating strong internal consistency. This validated scale contributes to assessing primarily Hispanic trans and non-binary individuals' perceptions of their therapists' knowledge about gender identity diversity.

Adaptation and validation of the Safe Birth Checklist for the nursing team

The objective of the research was to adapt and validate a safe birth checklist for the nursing team. This is a methodological study, carried out in 2021, conducted through the bibliographical survey phases; adaptation of the World Health Organization checklist; appearance and content validation with 22 expert judges; Adequacy of the checklist and validation with 11 nursing technicians. The project was approved by the Research Ethics Committee. The adapted material brought a more robust checklist and the old points of attention were also converted into a checklist, resulting in 19 new questions related to childbirth safety. The expert judges evaluated the material regarding objective, structure, presentation and relevance, obtaining an Overall Content Validity Index of 0.99. Total Cronbach's alpha 0.93. Among the target audience, there was a minimum agreement of 72.7% on the topics organization, writing, appearance and motivation. The manual is considered adapted and validated by experts and representatives of the target audience in terms of its content and appearance.

Investigating primary pre-service teachers' perceptions of nonfiction picturebooks

This study explores the factors contributing to the imbalance between fiction and nonfiction materials in primary school classrooms, with a specific emphasis on the perspectives of prospective teachers. Employing a qualitative research approach, the investigation involved 30 student teachers who had completed the Children’s Literature course at a Spanish university. Semi-structured interviews, with questions validated by expert judges, were utilized to gather responses, which were subsequently transcribed and analyzed through coding, following a categorical framework refined post-response analysis. The primary findings indicate a restricted exposure to nonfiction picturebooks in familial and educational settings. Despite positive emotional responses from trainee teachers, the study reveals an inadequacy in their training, hindering the development of a comprehensive understanding and the reinforcement of self-efficacy for integrating nonfiction materials into future teaching practices. Furthermore, the research underscores a disparity between the perceived significance of nonfiction picturebooks for enhancing children’s multimodal reading and the inclination of trainee teachers to prioritize fiction due to a lack of confidence and previous exposure. As a result, the study proposes a reassessment of teacher training programs, recommending a more thorough focus on nonfiction materials and continuous professional development to address the disparity between beliefs and actual classroom practices.

Structured expert judgement approach of the health impact of various chemicals and classes of chemicals.

Chemical contamination and pollution are an ongoing threat to human health and the environment. The concern over the consequences of chemical exposures at the global level continues to grow. Because resources are constrained, there is a need to prioritize interventions focused on the greatest health impact. Data, especially related to chemical exposures, are rarely available for most substances of concern, and alternate methods to evaluate their impact are needed. A Structured Expert Judgment (Research Outreach, 2021) process was performed to provide plausible estimates of health impacts for 16 commonly found pollutants: asbestos, arsenic, benzene, chromium, cadmium, dioxins, fluoride, highly hazardous pesticides (HHPs), lead, mercury, polycyclic-aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances (PFAs), phthalates, endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), and brominated flame retardants (BRFs). This process, undertaken by sector experts, weighed individual estimations of the probable global health scale health impacts of each pollutant using objective estimates of the expert opinions' statistical accuracy and informativeness. The foremost substances, in terms of mean projected annual total deaths, were lead, asbestos, arsenic, and HHPs. Lead surpasses the others by a large margin, with an estimated median value of 1.7 million deaths annually. The three other substances averaged between 136,000 and 274,000 deaths per year. Of the 12 other chemicals evaluated, none reached an estimated annual death count exceeding 100,000. These findings underscore the importance of prioritizing available resources on reducing and remediating the impacts of these key pollutants. Based on the evidence available, experts concluded some of the more notorious chemical pollutants, such as PCBs and dioxin, do not result in high levels of human health impact from a global scale perspective. However, the chemical toxicity of some compounds released in recent decades, such as Endocrine Disrupters and PFAs, cannot be ignored, even if current impacts are limited. Moreover, the impact of some chemicals may be disproportionately large in some geographic areas. Continued research and monitoring are essential; and a preventative approach is needed for chemicals. These results, and potential similar analyses of other chemicals, are provided as inputs to ongoing discussions about priority setting for global chemicals and pollution management. Furthermore, we suggest that this SEJ process be repeated periodically as new information becomes available.

Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) on Accidents Due to Tilting Ship

The transportation industry is the main point of the distribution of goods and passengers. Data shows the number of shipwrecks is very high. The accident was caused by many factors, one of which was the tilting of the ship. The research starts from categorizing the causes of ship accidents through existing secondary data, FGD with expert judgments to find the root of the problem and also looking for what mitigations can be done so that similar incidents do not repeat. And the analysis is made in the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) method. The results of this study indicate that there are human factors in recurring events at all stages of HFACS such asunsafe acts, the preconditions for unsafe acts, unsafe supervision and organisational influences. For the stages of unsafe acts are Skill based Errors, decision errors, Perceptual Errors, and Exceptional. For the stage of the preconditions for unsafe acts are technological environment, physical environment, and adverse mental state; and for the stage of unsafe supervision is the lack of supervision; for organizational influences there are resource management and organizational climate.

A designathon to co-create HPV screening and vaccination approaches for mothers and daughters in Nigeria: findings from a community-led participatory event

BackgroundOncogenic types of human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection cause substantial morbidity and mortality in Nigeria. Nigeria has low cervical cancer screening and vaccination rates, suggesting the need for community engagement to enhance reach and uptake. We organised a designathon to identify community-led, innovative approaches to promote HPV screening and vaccination for women and girls, respectively, in Nigeria. A designathon is a three-phase participatory process informed by design thinking that includes the preparation phase that includes soliciting innovative ideas from end-users, an intensive collaborative event to co-create intervention components, and follow-up activities.MethodsWe organised a three-phase designathon for women (30-65yrs) and girls (11-26yrs) in Nigeria. First, we launched a national crowdsourcing open call for ideas on community-driven strategies to support HPV screening among women and vaccination among girls. The open call was promoted widely on social media and at in-person gatherings. All eligible entries were graded by judges and 16 exceptional teams (with 4-6members each). All six geo-political zones of Nigeria were invited to join an in-person event held over three days in Lagos to refine their ideas and present them to a panel of expert judges. The ideas from teams were reviewed and scored based on relevance, feasibility, innovation, potential impact, and mother-daughter team dynamics. We present quantitative data on people who submitted and themes from the textual submissions.ResultsWe received a total of 612 submissions to the open call from mother-daughter dyads. Participants submitted ideas via a website designated for the contest (n = 392), in-person (n = 99), email (n = 31), or via an instant messaging application (n = 92). Overall, 470 were eligible for judging after initial screening. The average age of participants for daughters was 19 years and 39 years for mothers. Themes from the top 16 proposals included leveraging local leaders (5/16), faith-based networks (4/16), educational systems (4/16), and other community networks (7/16) to promote awareness of cervical cancer prevention services. After an in-person collaborative event, eight teams were selected to join an innovation training boot camp, for capacity building to implement ideas.ConclusionsInnovative strategies are needed to promote HPV screening for mothers and vaccination for girls in Nigeria. Our designathon was able to facilitate Nigerian mother-daughter teams to develop cervical cancer prevention strategies. Implementation research is needed to assess the effectiveness of these strategies.

Evaluating pedestrian facilities for enhancing pedestrian safety in Addis Ababa city

Transport demand has been increasing in most third-world countries. However, poorly maintained facilities and poor planning exposed pedestrians to high-traffic accidents. This paper aims to evaluate pedestrian facilities using the pedestrian level of service to enhance pedestrian safety in Addis Ababa. Relevant data was collected through field measurement and direct observation from 13 purposively identified pedestrian sites across the Piyasa to Bole bridge and Megenagna to Torihayloch road corridors. Pedestrian level of service derivation considered capacity, traffic, comfort, safety, and security conditions and their sub-components. The weight of each criterion and sub-factor was decided according to the Saaty scale using the judgment of experts under the analytical hierarchical process. The result of the study strongly stipulates the presence of the problem of pedestrian facilities in Megenagna, Mexico, Urael Church, and Golagol which can affect the level of pedestrian safety. However, Denibel City, Legahare, Torhayloch, and National Theater sites have scored better Pedestrian level of service for the walking population. Finally, the study recommended the requirement of prior attention for the sites with very poor and poor pedestrian levels of service by the concerned sectors.

PEMETAAN JASA EKOSISTEM PENYEDIA PANGAN DI PROVINSI BALI

Ecosystem services are the benefits that humans obtain from ecosystems. With the growing demand to implement sustainable development, the need for information on ecosystem services is increasing as a consideration in various policies and development planning. In response to this need, the method that is often used is the preparation of ecosystem services maps using an approach obtained from land cover data. Many people think this method works well and saves a lot of time and money, especially for studying places on a global, regional, or national level, where it's easy to get data on land cover. The point of this study is to look at how the results of the 2018 and 2022 food supply ecosystem services maps compare. These maps were made by experts who thought about how ecosystem services could be used in different types of land and ecoregions. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with the pairwise comparison method is used to figure out how much ecosystem services are worth in relation to land cover and ecoregions. The island of Bali was used as a study area, and food supply was the type of ecosystem service that was looked at. Ecoregion data results for 2022 with the high class being more dominant and having an area of 385,339.19 ha or the equivalent of 66.67%. Land cover in 2018 produced a dominant high class with an area of 288,931.82 ha or the equivalent of 48.74%. The land cover results in 2022 are predominantly high class with an area of 289,039.25 ha or the equivalent of 50.01% of the total area of the island of Bali. The analysis results from the combination of ecoregion and land cover in 2022 are predominantly high class with an area of 182,039.65 ha or the equivalent of 31.49%. Several factors can explain the connection between ecosystem processes and the benefits they provide, which can get around or lessen the problems with using land cover data. Extracting organizational culture from text: the development and validation of a theory-driven tool for digital data

ABSTRACT Understanding organizational culture and practices (OCPs) is crucial for business success, yet current assessments rely heavily on self-reports. We developed the “Dictionary of Organizational Culture and Practices”, the first theory-based text analysis tool designed to quantify OCPs as an alternative to surveys. Our approach integrates computational natural language processing with expert human judgement, using a 26 million words large corpus consisting of employee reviews of 526 companies, 1,121 mission and vision statements, and 285 company websites. We replicate Hofstede’s six-dimensional model of OCPs, not to be confused with Hofstede’s widely known model of national culture. Criterion validity is established by comparing our tool to existing ones that used data-driven approaches. Notably, our tool demonstrates construct validity through the striking similarity of the dimensional structure with survey-based measures. The level of alignment varied depending on the type of text, with congruence coefficients exceeding .9. Our findings offer valuable insights for academics and managers seeking to understand and shape an organization’s culture more effectively.

Academic self-efficacy and anxiety about English learning in university students

In the university context, it is a concern to improve English learning in students, given that much scientific information is found in this language, hence the interest in examining the related factors. The objective was to determine the relationship between academic self-efficacy (AA) and linguistic anxiety about learning English (ALAI). The research was quantitative, basic and descriptive correlational design, with a non-probabilistic sample of 246 students from a state university. The validity of the instruments was evaluated by means of expert judgment and factor analysis. Cronbach's alpha reliability of the AA was 0,938 and of the ALAI 0,908. The results showed a significant inverse correlation between the variables (r = -0,403, p = 0,001). It is concluded that the higher the AA, the lower the ALAI, which merits improving students' self-efficacy

Attitude of Public Elementary School Teachers Towards Children with Special Needs in Tangerang Regency

Education is a basic right of Indonesian citizens, including children with special needs. The presence of children with special needs in regular schools, most schools in Indonesia have provided special education services for children with special needs. This study aims to find out the tendency of public elementary school teachers' attitudes towards children with special needs in Tangerang district. This research method uses quantitative with a correlational research design. The population in this study is 40 public elementary school teachers in Tangerang Regency. This research took place in a public elementary school in the Tangerang Regency area. Virgin collection is carried out using an attitude scale. The scale of attitudes used was tested for validity through expert judgment and statistical calculations by Spearman Rho. The results of the study showed that teachers' attitudes towards children with special needs had a moderate category, namely 20 teachers (50%) with the results of the correlation between teachers' attitudes and children with special needs had a close relationship with the value (-0.189). So it can be concluded that children with special needs have a relationship with the attitude of the teacher given to the child.

Evaluative practice and its impact on teaching performance of the faculty of engineering of a public university of Peru 2023

The general objective of the research was to determine to what extent evaluative practice affects teaching performance in the Faculty of Engineering at a public university in Peru 2023. The type of research was basic, quantitative approach, non-experimental causal correlational design of transectional cut; the sample consisted of 50 teachers of the Faculty of Engineering of a Public University; two questionnaires were used, valid and reliable to expert judgment, to process the results the statistical program SPSS V26 was used. Among the results it was found that for 58.0% (29 teachers) the evaluative practices were at a good level; and for 64.0% (32 teachers) the teaching performance reached a high level. It was concluded that evaluative practices significantly influenced 73.2% of teacher performance; due to the Nagelkerke value of 0.732 and a regression significance of less than 1% (p < 0.01). It is the teacher's job to develop good evaluative practices that allow him/her to have a high level of teaching performance, reflected in the skills, knowledge and behaviours that students acquire.
