Using the reactive/transport dispersive models to simulate a monolithic anion exchanger: Experimental parameter determination, simultaneous model evaluation, and validation.

Selecting an adequate model to represent the mass transfer mechanisms occurring in a chromatographic process is generally complicated, which is one of the reasons why monolithic chromatography is scarcely simulated. In this study, the chromatographic separation of model proteins bovine serum albumin (BSA), β-lactoglobulin-A, and β-lactoglobulin-B on an anion exchange monolith was simulated based on experimental parameter determination, simultaneous model testing, and validation under three statistical criteria: retention time, dispersion accuracies, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Experimental characterization of morphologic, physicochemical, and kinetic parameters was performed through volume balances, pressure drop analysis, breakthrough curve analysis, and batch adsorptions. Free Gibbs energy indicated a spontaneous adsorption process for proteins and counterions. Dimensionless numbers were estimated based on height equivalent to a theoretical plate analysis, finding that pore diffusion controlled β-lactoglobulin separation, whereas adsorption/desorption kinetics was the dominant mechanism for BSA. The elution profiles were modeled using the transport dispersive model and the reactive dispersive model coupled with steric mass action (SMA) isotherms because these models allowed to consider most of the mass transport mechanisms that have been described. RDM-SMA presented the most accurate simulations at pH 6.0 and at low (250mM) and high (400mM) NaCl concentrations. This simulation will be used as reference to forecast the purification of these proteins from bovine whey waste and to extrapolate this methodology to other monolith-based separations using these three statistical criteria that have not been used previously for this purpose.

Mathematical Modeling of The Estimate of Methane Gas Generation, of The Organic Fraction Of Msw From The Agreste Alagoano Sanitary Landfill, From Standard Data And Experimental Data

Objective: The objective of this study is to carry out mathematical modeling in the generation of methane gas, through two mathematical models, using standard data and data obtained in the laboratory. Theoretical framework: The emission of methane gas, generated by the decomposition of solid waste in landfills, is one of the serious problems of air pollution and one way to minimize the impacts of methane on the environment is through its use to generate energy. To this end, there are ways to estimate the generation of CH4 during the useful life of the landfill. Method: For modeling, the computer programs of LandGEM and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) were used to carry out the theoretical estimate of CH4 production during the useful life of the Agreste Alagoano landfill in two scenarios: one with standard program values for the local climate region and another with information obtained from experimental data from research by Santana (2022). Results and Discussion: When standard input data was adopted, the LandGEM model presented a 38% higher value in CH4 production compared to the IPCC model. When considering input data obtained experimentally, the IPCC showed CH4 generation 32.66% higher than the LandGEM, this was possible due to the COD value that was high as a result of the L0 of the organic fraction, exceeding the theoretical value of 0.15 to the experimental value of 0.27 in the new scenario. Implications of the research: Determining parameters for modeling methane gas generation will help in managing landfill waste and its energy recovery potential, in addition to the application of mathematical models for estimating biogas production potential as tools essential for both energy and environmental studies. Originality/value: This research presents as originality the determination of experimental parameters applied to the mathematical modeling of methane gas generation in landfills in the rural region, since studies on modeling in landfills with the climatic conditions of the rural region of Brazil are not common in the literature.

Parametric Optimization of Torsional Parameters of Ferrocement "U" Wrapped Beams Using Recent Meta-Heuristic Optimization Algorithms.

Structural elements are subjected to different types of loads, one of which is a torsional load. Due to the complexity of the analysis, torsion was not given much importance in earlier days. With stringent updates in codal provisions and due to architectural modifications, torsion is now considered one of the major parameters for structural design. The main aim of this paper is to analyze distressed elements due to torsion. It highlights different approaches, such as destructive and non-destructive processes, to be adopted to estimate the torsional parameters of a ferrocement "U" wrapped beam. The destructive method is the experimental determination of parameters, which is absolutely necessary. The non-destructive method includes an analytical method based on a softened truss model as well as a soft computing method. The soft computing method is based on the regression coefficient analysis method along with two recent optimization algorithms, i.e., (1) ARO (artificial rabbits optimization) and (2) DAOA (dynamic arithmetic optimization algorithm). The predicted results are found to be in agreement with the experimental values (destructive method). Lastly, the obtained results from both proposed methods are analyzed, and it is found that both algorithms can be utilized in any engineering problem to determine the global optimum value with corresponding input optimal settings. As the experimental method is time-consuming and expensive, analytical, and soft computing methods can be preferred over the experimental method.

Fault detection and isolation for a secondary loop refrigeration system

Secondary loop refrigeration systems offer advantages over conventional system architectures: refrigerant charge reduction, maintenance simplification, and reduced safety hazards. Currently, no model-based fault detection for a secondary loop system has been reported. This article presents a fault detection and isolation scheme for a secondary loop refrigeration system where parametric faults (dirt/ice-buildup and secondary loop pump failure) and sensor faults (four temperature sensors in the secondary loop) are detected and isolated. The fault detection and isolation system is based on unknown input observers and on extended Kalman filters. The models are obtained through physical relations combined with experimental parameter determination (gray-box model) and are cross-validated against measurement data. The complete fault detection and isolation architecture is experimentally validated on a secondary loop refrigeration system mounted on a cooling box inside a climate chamber. Experimental results show that important parametric faults can be reliably detected and isolated, and the fault detection and isolation of sensor faults are effective.

Global sensitivity analysis based on Gaussian-process metamodelling for complex biomechanical problems.

Biomechanical models often need to describe very complex systems, organs or diseases, and hence also include a large number of parameters. One of the attractive features of physics-based models is that in those models (most) parameters have a clear physical meaning. Nevertheless, the determination of these parameters is often very elaborate and costly and shows a large scatter within the population. Hence, it is essential to identify the most important parameters (worth the effort) for a particular problem at hand. In order to distinguish parameters which have a significant influence on a specific model output from non-influential parameters, we use sensitivity analysis, in particular the Sobol method as a global variance-based method. However, the Sobol method requires a large number of model evaluations, which is prohibitive for computationally expensive models. We therefore employ Gaussian processes as a metamodel for the underlying full model. Metamodelling introduces further uncertainty, which we also quantify. We demonstrate the approach by applying it to two different problems: nanoparticle-mediated drug delivery in a complex, multiphase tumour-growth model, and arterial growth and remodelling. Even relatively small numbers of evaluations of the full model suffice to identify the influential parameters in both cases and to separate them from non-influential parameters. The approach also allows the quantification of higher-order interaction effects. We thus show that a variance-based global sensitivity analysis is feasible for complex, computationally expensive biomechanical models. Different aspects of sensitivity analysis are covered including a transparent declaration of the uncertainties involved in the estimation process. Such a global sensitivity analysis not only helps to massively reduce costs for experimental determination of parameters but is also highly beneficial for inverse analysis of such complex models.

Examination of Energy Efficiency of Air Handling Unit with Integrated Air to Air Heat Exchanger in Cooling Mode

Object of the present study is an experimental determination of parameters, showing efficiency of air handling unit with integrated air to air heat exchanger in cooling mode: effectiveness of supply side of air to air heat exchanger, coefficient of performance and specific fan power of air handling unit. A daily performance of air handling unit in cooling mode is conducted. Effectiveness of supply side of air to air heat exchanger in range of 50.5 % to 74.3 % is received. Coefficient of performance in range of 0.88 to 2.99 and specific fan power of air handling unit in range of 1.77 kW/(m3/s) to 3.06 kW/(m3/s) are received. A relation between effectiveness of supply side of air to air heat exchanger and ratio of heat capacity rates of supply and exhaust air is received. Effectiveness of supply side of air to air heat exchanger depends on values of mass flow of supply and the exhaust air. High values of mass flow of exhaust air responds to high effectiveness of supply side of air to air heat exchanger.

Method of Cylindrical Linear Induction Motor Equivalent Circuit Parameters Determination and Performance Calculation Algorithm

Cylindrical linear induction motors (LIM) are currently used in many industrial applications. Task of modeling of electrical machine is of great importance for optimization of processes of design and manufacture of engines with optimal technical characteristics. Traditional approach of construction of mathematical models of asynchronous machines based on classical theory of electrical machines, in comparison with methods of field theory and numerical methods, is much simpler. Structurally cylindrical LIM are distinguished by the absence of transverse edge effects, which contributes to the use of the methods of the classical theory of electrical machines for construction of their mathematical models. In this paper proposes an analytical method of calculation of parameters of equivalent circuit and operating characteristics of cylindrical LIM. In work engine was studied, movable part of which is made in the form of solid steel bar with a copper coating. Equivalent circuits of linear induction motors of various designs (one-sided, two-sided, cruciform, cylindrical) are considered, and assessment of the possibility of their application for research motor is made. Work of cylindrical LIM on industrial mechanisms is characterized by relatively small value of working stroke. For such engines, it is difficult to carry out standard tests, in particular idle stroke test, in order to obtain data for calculation of parameters of the equivalent circuit. The paper proposes a method of experimental determination of parameters of the equivalent circuit. Stator active resistance is measured at direct current, and stator reactance is measured using out-of-rotor method. The remaining parameters of equivalent circuit are calculated according to short circuit experience and engine work mode without load (is taken as an idle stroke experience). It is shown that exact G-shaped equivalent circuit, when calculation of parameters of which active and reactive components of correction factor and active resistance of magnetization branch are taken into account, provides acceptable accuracy in determination of values of equivalent circuit parameters. Algorithm of calculation of work characteristics of cylindrical LAM based on equivalent circuit data is presented. Comparison of calculated and experimental data showed satisfactory results, error is not more than 7%. A new model for decomposition of the total power losses, which includes four components is proposed. Each of the components of the proposed model has a certain physical meaning due to the nature of electromagnetic processes in a three-phase four-wire system. Definitions to describe each of the proposed components are formulated. It is shown that each of supplementary components of the total loss power is proportional to the minimum possible loss power and to the square of the RMS value of the power, which is caused by its occurrence in three-phase four-wire power supply system, and it is inversely proportional to the mean square of the net power loss. The synthesized Matlab-model for verification of the four-component structure of power losses showed a high degree of its adequacy. The proposed model allows us to rethink the description of power losses in three-phase AC circuits and can be used in specialized measuring instruments for electrical networks monitoring. Using the information obtained in the monitoring process, it is possible to plan technical measures to reduce losses of electrical energy in the power supply system, as well as to estimate the capital costs of these measures.

Determination of Sr2+ mobility in viscous bovine bone marrow by cryo-time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry.

In osteoporosis research, strontium ions (Sr2+ ) have emerged as promising therapeutic agent in modified bone cements for better fracture healing. Modeling of Sr2+ dispersion in bone could be used as a predictive tool for the evaluation of functionalized biomaterials in future. Therefore, determination of experimental parameters for Sr2+ transport in bone is essential. In this study, we focus on the determination of Sr2+ diffusion in viscous bovine bone marrow by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS). For this comparatively fast diffusion (FD) experiment, a specific experimental protocol of ToF-SIMS depth profiling under cryogenic conditions was developed. The validity of our experimental approach is proven by a time-dependent experimental series. Furthermore, 2D and 3D mass spectrometric imaging analysis was used to study Sr2+ surface and bulk distribution within bovine bone marrow. Detailed 2D and 3D mass spectrometric imaging analysis revealed that Sr2+ diffusion is slower in bone marrow areas with high intensity of lipid and fatty acid signals than in areas with less lipid content. The Sr2+ transport within this passive model can be described by Fickian diffusion. Average diffusion coefficients of Sr2+ in bovine bone marrow were obtained from diffusion profiles in FD areas (Dbovine,FD = [2.09 ± 2.39]·10-9 cm2 s-1 ), slow diffusion areas (Dbovine,SD = [1.52 ± 1.80]·10-10 cm2 s-1 ), and total area diffusion (Dbovine,TA = [1.94 ± 2.40]·10-9 cm2 s-1 ). We were able to show that cryo-ToF-SIMS is a useful tool for the characterization of rapid diffusion in water-containing highly viscous media. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported experimental approach for the investigation of the distribution of low concentrated therapeutic agents in bone marrow. Overall, our results provide important insights about Sr2+ diffusion in bovine bone marrow.

Removal of free fatty acid (FFA) in crude palm oil (CPO) using potassium oxide/dolomite as an adsorbent: Optimization by Taguchi method

In this study, potassium oxide supported on dolomite adsorbent was used as an adsorbent for free fatty acids (FFAs) treatment in crude palm oil (CPO). The characteristics of the adsorbent were determined by TGA, XRD, SEM, BET and TPD-CO2. Taguchi method was utilized for experimental design and optimum condition determination. There were four parameters and three levels involved in this study: time (30, 60, 90 min), stirring rate (300, 500, 700 rpm), adsorbent dosage (1, 3, 5 wt%) and K2O concentration (5, 10, 15 wt%). The adsorbent had a larger pore size, higher basic strength, and more basic sites in greater efficiency (63%) in FFAs removal from CPO. The optimum conditions were at 30 min time, 700 rpm stirring rate, 5 wt% adsorbent dosage and 15 wt% K2O concentration. Taguchi method simplified determination of experimental parameters and minimized the operating costs.

Dynamics of cytokine profile in patients with abdominal sepsis caused by pancreonecrosis

Acute pancreatitis is one of the most pressing problems of modern pancreatology, according to the authors ranks first among surgical pathologies.The aim of this study was to evaluate the dynamics of cytokine profile in patients with abdominal sepsis caused by pancreatic necrosis.Materials and methods.The study was conducted in 12 patients diagnosed with abdominal sepsis caused by pancreatic necrosis, in the period from 2017 to 2020 who were treated in medical hospitals in Chernivtsi and Ternopil. The control group consisted of 17 patients without signs of abdominal sepsis and acute surgical pathology. Both groups were representative by age, sex, comorbidities, risk factors. Determination of experimental parameters in the blood of patients was performed in the postoperative period (the results were evaluated before surgery, on the first and tenth days of the postoperative period).Research results and their discussion.In patients with abdominal sepsis, a violation of the mechanisms of cell adhesion and costimulatory-cooperative interaction of immunocompetent cells was observed in the preoperative period, as indicated by the low level of CD11a + and CD162 + expression on them. The decrease in the content of IL-6 in the blood with a slight progressive increase in the level of IL-4 corresponds to a moderate imbalance of cytokine regulation of the immune response.

A Mixed Numerical-Experimental Method to Characterize Metal-Polymer Interfaces for Crash Applications

Metallic (M) and polymer (P) materials as layered hybrid metal-polymer-metal (MPM) sandwiches offer a wide range of applications by combining the advantages of both material classes. The interfaces between the materials have a considerable impact on the resulting mechanical properties of the composite and its structural performance. Besides the fact that the experimental methods to determine the properties of the single constituents are well established, the characterization of interface failure behavior between dissimilar materials is very challenging. In this study, a mixed numerical–experimental approach for the determination of the mode I energy release rate is investigated. Using the example of an interface between a steel (St) and a thermoplastic polyolefin (PP/PE), the process of specimen development, experimental parameter determination, and numerical calibration is presented. A modified design of the Double Cantilever Beam (DCB) is utilized to characterize the interlaminar properties and a tailored experimental setup is presented. For this, an inverse calibration method is used by employing numerical studies using cohesive elements and the explicit solver of LS-DYNA based on the force-displacement and crack propagation results.

Influence of disposable relaparotomy and programmed sanation on the expression and dynamics of clusters determinations on immunocompetent cells of patients with abdominal sepsis caused by severe peritonitis

Relaparotomy in the treatment of postoperative complications of abdominal surgery remains a difficult problem of modern surgery.To evaluate the prognostic value of expression clusters of determination on immunocompetent cells of patients, the dynamics of HLA-DR + molecules and cytokines in the blood of patients with abdominal sepsis caused by severe peritonitis, as well as abscesses and phlegmons for postoperative period.Materials and methods.The study was conducted in 40 patients diagnosed with abdominal sepsis in the period from 2017-2020, which was treated in medical institutions of Chernivtsi and Ternopil in Ukraine, and which were divided into control and research groups. The control group consisted of 17 patients without signs of abdominal sepsis and acute surgical pathology. Determination of the expression of determination clusters such as CD11a, CD162, CD95, CD16 on immunocompetent cells, and the study of the dynamics of expression of HLA-DR + molecules and the content of cytokines IL-2, IL-4, IL-6 in the blood of patients was performed in the postoperative period. Both groups were representative by age, sex, comorbidities, risk factors. Determination of experimental parameters in the blood of patients was performed in the postoperative period (the results were evaluated before surgery, on the first, third, seventh, and on the fourteenth day of the postoperative period).Research results and their discussionIn patients with abdominal sepsis caused by severe peritonitis, the expression of HLA-DR + molecules on immunocompetent cells increases, which to some extent indicates an intensification of γ-interferon synthesis. At the same time, there is a sharp decrease in the content of IL-2 in the blood - the main regulator of a specific immune response.

Comparison and experimental validation of predictive models for soft, fiber-reinforced actuators

Successful soft robot modeling approaches appearing in the recent literature have been based on a variety of distinct theories, including traditional robotic theory, continuum mechanics, and machine learning. Though specific modeling techniques have been developed for and validated against already realized systems, their strengths and weaknesses have not been explicitly compared against each other. In this article, we show how three distinct model structures, a lumped-parameter model, a continuum mechanical model, and a neural network, compare in capturing the gross trends and specific features of the force generation of soft robotic actuators. In particular, we study models for fiber-reinforced elastomeric enclosures (FREEs), which are a popular choice of soft actuator and that are used in several soft articulated systems, including soft manipulators, exoskeletons, grippers, and locomoting soft robots. We generated benchmark data by testing eight FREE samples that spanned broad design and kinematic spaces and compared the models on their ability to predict the loading–deformation relationships of these samples. This comparison shows the predictive capabilities of each model on individual actuators and each model’s generalizability across the design space. While the neural net achieved the highest peak performance, the first principles-based models generalized best across all actuator design parameters tested. The results highlight the essential roles of mathematical structure and experimental parameter determination in building high-performing, generalizable soft actuator models with varying effort invested in system identification.

Echelle LIBS-Raman system: A versatile tool for mineralogical and archaeological applications

There are a number of analytical techniques used to study material related problems. Most of them imply experimental determination of parameters and functions by means of which elemental, optical and other properties of materials can be described. Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and Raman spectroscopy are highly complementary spectroscopic techniques used for lab, in-situ, and remote analyses of materials. The LIBS-Raman system provides further information compared to other conventional techniques since it can detect the presence of low atomic number-elements, isotopic composition, hydration and structure of trace materials which may be present as surface layers etc., which are very difficult, if not impossible, by portable X-ray based systems. A setup for LIBS and Raman spectroscopy measurements in a single unit has been developed and reported recently by us using an echelle spectrograph system. The system utilizes a single nanosecond pulsed Nd:YAG laser (532 nm) and an ICCD coupled echelle spectrograph for both measurements. The unit has been successfully used for multipurpose applications such as identification of minerals, pigments etc and also for checking quality assurance. The combined atomic and molecular information from the same location on a sample, at several locations, can provide more comprehensive information regarding its properties than using either of these quantities taken singly. In many cases, it has been observed that the high resolution of the echelle spectrograph provides better quality Raman signals by virtue of the small degeneracy/crystal field splitting of many fundamental Raman bands. This can provide valuable information on inclusions in bulk samples, changes due to symmetry alteration or complex formation with surroundings, hydrogen bonding etc. The advantage of echelle system to identify natural and artificial pigments by identifying the minor and trace components by the spectra of the elements therein, is also helpful in many situations. In the present paper, the orthogonal use of LIBS and Raman spectroscopy is assessed and highlighted. The results clearly demonstrate the potential of echelle-based LIBS-Raman system in applications where more detailed information on complex samples like minerals, archaeological artifacts etc, is required with minimum sample damage or consumption.

Investigation of strontium transport and strontium quantification in cortical rat bone by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry.

Next-generation bone implants will be functionalized with drugs for stimulating bone growth. Modelling of drug release by such functionalized biomaterials and drug dispersion into bone can be used as predicting tool for biomaterials testing in future. Therefore, the determination of experimental parameters to describe and simulate drug release in bone is essential. Here, we focus on Sr2+ transport and quantification in cortical rat bone. Sr2+ dose-dependently stimulates bone-building osteoblasts and inhibits bone-resorbing osteoclasts. It should be preferentially applied in the case of bone fracture in the context of osteoporotic bone status. Transport properties of cortical rat bone were investigated by dipping experiments of bone sections in aqueous Sr2+ solution followed by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) depth profiling. Data evaluation was carried out by fitting a suitable mathematical diffusion equation to the experimental data. An average diffusion coefficient of D = (1.68 ± 0.57) · 10-13 cm2 s-1 for healthy cortical bone was obtained. This value differed only slightly from the value of D = (4.30 ± 1.43) · 10-13 cm2 s-1 for osteoporotic cortical bone. Transmission electron microscopy investigations revealed a comparable nano- and ultrastructure for both types of bone status. Additionally, Sr2+-enriched mineralized collagen standards were prepared for ToF-SIMS quantification of Sr2+ content. The obtained calibration curve was used for Sr2+ quantification in cortical and trabecular bone in real bone sections. The results allow important insights regarding the Sr2+ transport properties in healthy and osteoporotic bone and can ultimately be used to perform a simulation of drug release and mobility in bone.

Mathematical modelling and experimental determination of parameters of the guidance system of weaponry complex

The methodological approaches to the improvement of the control system of the vertical guidance mechanism of FM-21 multiple launch missile system to increasing its speed and positioning accuracy are confirmed. The use of the three-circuit positional structure of the control system of the guidance mechanism with a position control loop and a fuzzy corrector is justified. A mathematical model of the guiding package motion has been obtained and its reaction has been calculated. The parameters of the electrical and mechanical elements of a guidance system and their transient characteristics are experimentally obtained. With the use of the approximation procedure, the analytical dependencies of these transient characteristics and corresponding transient functions of various orders of the elements of an electric drive power circuit are obtained.

Experimental determination of parameters and characteristics of the oil separation unit of combined design

The article deals with the oil separation unit based on engine-separator. The paper presents data of experimental observation of the most important characteristic of the "hot cycle" separator, i.e. heat-conductivity coefficient. It shows the method of measurement and subsequent data processing.

Nonlinear optical properties of the vanadium dioxide films

In this work the properties of vanadium oxides films are investigated for optimizing their nonlinear optical coefficients. Vanadium oxides films are studied obtained by pyrolysis of vanadyl acetylacetonate. Experimental determination of parameters of films was carried out by measuring the dependencies of reflectivity and conductivity with temperature. The results show that the variation of the thickness of vanadium oxide films can significantly change their optical performance.

Toward a Distinct and Quantitative Validation Method for Predictive Process Modelling—On the Example of Solid-Liquid Extraction Processes of Complex Plant Extracts

Physico-chemical modelling and predictive simulation are becoming key for modern process engineering. Rigorous models rely on the separation of different effects (e.g., fluid dynamics, kinetics, mass transfer) by distinct experimental parameter determination on lab-scale. The equations allow the transfer of the lab-scale data to any desired scale, if characteristic numbers like e.g., Reynolds, Péclet, Sherwood, Schmidt remain constant and fluid-dynamics of both scales are known and can be described by the model. A useful model has to be accurate and therefore match the experimental data at different scales and combinations of process and operating parameters. Besides accuracy as one quality attribute for the modelling depth, model precision also has to be evaluated. Model precision is considered as the combination of modelling depth and the influence of experimental errors in model parameter determination on the simulation results. A model is considered appropriate if the deviation of the simulation results is in the same order of magnitude as the reproducibility of the experimental data to be substituted by the simulation. Especially in natural product extraction, the accuracy of the modelling approach can be shown through various studies including different feedstocks and scales, as well as process and operating parameters. Therefore, a statistics-based quantitative method for the assessment of model precision is derived and discussed in detail in this paper to complete the process engineering toolbox. Therefore a systematic workflow including decision criteria is provided.

Modelling of mechanical and filtration processes near the well with regard to anisotropy

A geomechanical approach to modeling deformation and seepage is presented. Three stages of modeling are described: choice of an appropriate mechanical model and its adaptation to the case in question, experimental determination of parameters of the model, simulation of processes of seepage for particular configurations of the well. The applied model allows describing the main specific characteristics of mechanical behavior of the collector: the influence of the pore pressure on deformation; the influence of not only shear but also comprehensive stresses and pore pressure on the transition to inelastic behavior; the appearance of inelastic volumetric deformation and its nontrivial dependence on the stress state; the anisotropy of elastic, strength and seepage properties; non-obvious dependence of permeability on the stress strain state. The model unites essential characteristics of Hill’s plastic flow theory for anisotropic materials and the Drucker–Prager theory for inelastic deformation of soils. The results of experimental determination of the involved parameters obtained using true triaxial loading system for the collector of Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea are presented.
