This study aims to describe the ability to write persuasive texts for class VIII junior high school students through the use of image media. The instrument used in this study was a performance test of writing persuasive text. The assessment taken in writing the text is based on the structure and linguistic rules contained in the persuasion text, namely the existence of opinions or arguments, facts, and invitation sentences. Then students write persuasive texts using image media. This research is a type of descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research data was obtained from the students' ability to write persuasive texts. The research subjects were students of class VIIIF as many as 30 students. Analysis of the data used in this study is the result of student work.The results showed that the ability to write persuasive texts using image media in every aspect got a score above the average. In the aspect of writing arguments, the score is 84, the ability to write facts is 89, and the value of the ability to write invitations is 85. The conclusions of this study indicate that the ability to write persuasive texts for class VIIIF students is in the capable category with an average score of 86. of the overall results of the assessed aspects.

Analysis of Indonesian Public Opinion Sentiment on Policy on Twitter Social Media “PPKM” Using K-Nearest Neighbor

COVID-19 or Coronavirus disease 2019 is currently a pandemic that is spreading very quickly throughout the world, including Indonesia. Various handling and policies have been carried out, one of which is called “PPKM” policy or what can also be called the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities issued by the Indonesian government. “PPKM” is currently one of the topics that is often discussed by the public, one of which is on the Twitter social media platform. The existence of opinions given by the community, it is necessary to have a sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis is an analytical process obtained from various social media platforms and the internet. The aim is to find out how the public's sentiment towards the implementation of “PPKM” policies in Indonesia is through tweets and comments on the Twitter social media platform. In this study, the process of analyzing public opinion regarding the “PPKM” policy will be carried out by classifying opinions into 3 sentiments, namely positive, negative or neutral. Classification is done using the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. The K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) algorithm is a classification method for a set of data based on previously classified data learning. Included in supervised learning, where the results of the new query instance are classified based on the majority of the distance proximity of the categories in K-NN. The results of data preprocessing and sentiment classification, in the first test positive sentiment 37.6% of 261 data, negative sentiment 65.9% of 636 data and neutral sentiment 9.

Sustainable education: altering the opinions on renewable energy sources

Our paper studies the link between the education and the people’s opinions and views of the renewable energy sources (RES). We employ the representative data (1026 respondents) from the Czech Republic. Our empirical model did not reveal any associations between the subjective opinion on the respondents about the possibility to replace electricity generation from conventional sources (such as coal-fired or gas-fired power plants, nuclear power plants or large hydroelectric power plants) with the electricity from wind, solar radiation and biomass combustion. In addition, there seemed to be no correlation between the usage of renewable energy in the Czech Republic and the education of the respondents. However, there are strong significant association between the level of education of the respondents and the existence of opinions on the RES. Higher education means higher probability of the existence of such an opinion. Almost one third of the respondents with primary education did not have an opinion on the topic. This might be caused by an increasing interest in RES of people with higher level of education as they are likely to be more open to all discussions on the socially relevant issues in general. The lack of association between which opinion people have and their level of education is likely to indicate the marginal role of explaining the importance of RES in education.

State Ownership, Family Ownership, and Sustainability Report Quality: The Moderating Role of Board Effectiveness

Objective - This research analyzes the effect of state ownership, family ownership, and the effectiveness of the board's moderating role on sustainability report quality of Indonesian companies. Methodology/Technique - Sustainability report quality is a factor analysis of percentage of disclosure quantity score with GRI G3 and G4 (content analysis), the natural logarithm of the number of pages, existence of opinion, and existence of an independent party assessment on GRI application check, independent party assessment. Board effectiveness is divided into three categories: independence, size, and competence. Findings - Using data of 123 companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange between 2010 and 2014, it is found that state ownership, board effectiveness based on independence, and competence positively affect sustainability report quality while family ownership and board effectiveness based on size do not affect sustainability report quality. For board effectiveness moderating role, board effectiveness based on independence and size strengthen state ownership effect on sustainability report quality. Meanwhile, board effectiveness does not weaken family ownership effect on sustainability report quality. Novelty - This research contributes to literature regarding the relationship between corporate governance and sustainability report quality, particularly the effectiveness of a board's moderating role to sustainability report quality, which is scarcely researched. Caracteristicas epidemiológicas das alterações de linguagem em um centro fonoaudiológico do primeiro setor

OBJETIVO: Caracterizar a população com diagnóstico fonoaudiológico de alteração de linguagem, atendida por um centro fonoaudiológico do primeiro setor da capital alagoana. MÉTODOS: Foram analisados dados contidos em 138 prontuários de pacientes com diagnóstico de alteração de linguagem com alta fonoaudiológica, no período de junho de 2000 a junho de 2006. Foram colhidos dados relativos ao gênero, idade no diagnóstico, procedência, escolaridade na admissão, diagnóstico fonoaudiológico, tempo de espera para o início da terapia, tempo de atendimento, encaminhamentos realizados, atendimento interdisciplinar e a presença ou não de pareceres de outras especialidades. Para as variáveis numéricas, determinou-se a média, desvio padrão e erro padrão. A correlação entre as variáveis foi avaliada através do teste de correlação linear de Spearman (p<005). RESULTADOS: A maioria da população atendida procede da capital (90,6%). O gênero masculino predominou na amostra (65,9%), que teve média de idade de 15,63 anos e escolaridade com média de 3,39 anos de estudo; as patologias mais freqüentes foram o desvio fonológico (24,5%) e a gagueira (12,3%). Apesar de não existir correlação estatística entre os encaminhamentos e atendimentos interdisciplinares, a correlação foi demonstrada entre as especialidades de encaminhamentos e atendimentos. CONCLUSÃO: A população com alteração de linguagem é bastante heterogênea e as alterações mais freqüentes poderiam ter sido evitadas por meio de estratégias como ações preventivas em Fonoaudiologia.
