Multidimensional and hierarchical design of biomass-derived carbon nanofiber networks for efficient microwave absorption

Carbon materials have gained significant attention for their potential as highly efficient microwave absorbers. However, it remains a challenge to attain a perfect integration of thin thickness, wide frequency bandwidth, lightweight and strong absorption through structural design of carbon materials. Herein, we design multidimensional and hierarchical carbon nanofiber networks consisting of core-shell carbon nanofibers wrapped by hollow carbon nanoparticles, named CPDA@RCNFs. CPDA@RCNFs which are derived from cellulose and polydopamine (PDA) were prepared by electrostatic spinning, deacetylation, self-polymerization, and carbonization, successively. Thanks to the cooperation of three-dimensional conductive networks, core-shell/hollow/porous structures, as well as doped nitrogen and oxygen heteroatoms, CPDA@RCNFs exhibit excellent comprehensive microwave absorption performance. Specifically, an ultra-strong reflection loss value of -63.31dB and a wide frequency bandwidth of 5.60GHz (12.32-17.92GHz) are achieved at a very thin thickness of 1.8mm with an ultra-low filler loading of 5wt%. This work provides a new insight into the structural design of advanced high-performance microwave absorption carbon materials.

Micro-helical Ni3Fe chain encapsulated in ultralight MXene/C aerogel to realize multi-functionality: Radar stealth, thermal insulation, fire resistance, and mechanical properties

Magnetic carbon aerogels with high porosity, ultralow density, and excellent impedance matching are considered to be a promising microwave absorption (MA) material. In this study, ethylene glycol polymerization is used to assemble Ni3Fe particles into a micro-helical chain, which is further wrapped by MXene and then encapsulated in poly-Schiff-base aerogels through the carbonyl–amine condensation reaction. Finally, ultralight TiO2/Ni3Fe/MXene/C (NFMC) aerogels are synthesized through calcination treatment. Benefiting from the electromagnetic synergistic effect of multi-dimensional and multi-component materials, the NFMC-7 aerogel exhibits excellent MA performance with a minimum reflection loss of −61.6 dB at 3.0-mm thickness and an effective absorption bandwidth of 8.16 GHz at 2.77-mm thickness under a low filler loading of 7.6 wt%. Commercial computer simulation technology is used to verify the strong magnetic and dielectric loss characteristics of Ni3Fe chains. At the same time, the NFMC-7 aerogel exhibits excellent radar stealth, heat insulation, compression resistance, and fire resistance performance, which verifies its practical applicability. Overall, this work establishes an effective strategy to fabricate multi-functional magnetic aerogels, which can serve as lightweight, thin, and strong microwave absorbers with broad absorption bandwidth.

Highly enhanced microwave absorption of carbon nanotube/nickel/styrene-butadiene-styrene composite with segregated structure

High-performance microwave absorption (MA) polymer composites are highly required in electromagnetic protection. Although the desirable MA performance of many MA absorbers is obtained, its loading of obtaining optimal MA performance still is too high, which is not beneficial to the mechanical properties of polymer composites. In this work, based on the concept of segregated structure, the selective distribution of carbon nanotube/nickel (CNT/Ni) particles was successfully achieved in the styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) matrix via hot-compression molding. The CNT/Ni/SBS composites with segregated structure present an excellent MA performance when the filler content is only 5 wt%, including the minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of −42.7 dB and effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 6.6 GHz, which shows 27.3 % and 8.2 % increases in comparison to the optimal MA performance of the composites with randomly dispersed structure (10 wt%). In addition, the elongation at break and tensile strength of CNT/Ni/SBS composites can reach 1222 % and 14.3 MPa, respectively, showing great application potential as flexible MA materials. The efficient method provides a promising way to improve the function efficiency of MA absorbers and develop high-performance MA polymer composites with low filler loading in the future.

In Situ Synthesis of an Epoxy Resin Microwave Absorption Coating with Anti-Ultraviolet Aging Effects

A nanoparticle-anchored three-dimensional microsphere flower-structured layered double hydroxide (LDH) material with Fe3O4 particles was successfully prepared using simple hydrothermal and hot solvent methods. Micro-nanostructured Fe3O4@LDHs (SLF) composites balance microwave absorption, corrosion protection, and UV aging resistance. The minimum reflection loss value of SLF is −35.75 dB at 14.16 GHz, when the absorber thickness is 8 mm, and the absorption bandwidth at this frequency is up to 2.56 GHz for RL values less than −10 dB, while the LL is only 1 GHz. The SLF /EP coating has not only excellent microwave absorption performance but also excellent corrosion and UV aging resistance performance. The coating still has some anti-corrosion effect after 10 d of immersion. This work is intended as a reference for the development of new coatings with excellent microwave absorption properties as well as corrosion and UV aging resistance for wind turbine tower barrels (seaside wind power generation equipment) surfaces.

Multi-electron transfer mechanism and band structures of CNTs in MOF-derived CNTs/Co hybrids for enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption property

Metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived magnetic metal/carbon nanocomposites have received widespread attention for electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption. The present study introduces a novel approach to MOF composite material design by constructing composites modified with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and magnetic Co nanoparticles. The carbon confinement effect in CNT/Co not only regulates the electronic structure of Co-C bonds, but also maintains the redox cycle of Co0/2→Co3+→Co0/2+, improving electronic activity and exhibiting synergistic integration characteristics of efficient electromagnetic wave absorption. Particularly, the maximum reflection loss (RLmin) of CNTs/Co-900 reached −52.7 dB at 4.67 GHz in the case of an absorber thickness of 1.6 mm. The excellent microwave absorption performance may be attributed to the interwoven structure formed by novel ZIF-67, CNTs, and Co metal nanoparticles and the double loss of magnetic Co and dielectric CNTs. In addition, the band gap of CNTs was calculated to be Eg = 0.27 eV by the semi-empirical tight-binding method with DFTB+. It is confirmed that CNTs have high electron migration ability, which is beneficial to conductive loss. EVA copolymer loaded with PAni/CNT/GNP hybrids: A flexible and lightweight material with high microwave absorption

AbstractMicrowave‐absorbing materials are widely used for electromagnetic interference shielding and stealth technology. However, most existing materials are heavy, rigid, and expensive, limiting their practical applications. Therefore, there is a need to develop new materials that are flexible, lightweight, and cost effective. This study aimed to synthesize and characterize a novel ternary composite material based on polyaniline (PAni), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) in an ethylene‐vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer matrix. PAni‐based ternary composites were prepared by in situ polymerization of aniline in toluene dispersion of CNT/GNP hybrids and EVA. The microwave absorption properties were evaluated using a vector network analyzer in the frequency range of 8.2–18 GHz. The presence of as little as 0.8 wt% of CNT/GNP hybrid with appropriate mass ratio increased the conductivity by more than four orders of magnitude compared to the EVA@PAni blend. The minimum reflection loss corresponded to −40.55 dB at 16.31 GHz for the system containing CNT/GNP = 0.3:0.7, whereas those with CNT/GNP = 0.0:1.0 and 0.7:0.3 presented the widest effective absorption bandwidths (RL < −10 dB), covering almost the entire Ku‐band. Due to the excellent flexibility, low weight, and high microwave absorption performance, these composites are potential candidates for microwave absorption applications.

Ti3C2Tx/PANI/CoNi as a ternary composite material unveiling excellent microwave absorption performance

Ti3C2Tx MXene material exhibits exceptional dielectric properties and a distinct layered structure, making it a noteworthy microwave absorbing material. However, its microwave absorption performance is limited due to poor impedance matching and a single loss mechanism. To address these issues, this work develops a solvothermal method to introduce the magnetic component CoNi alloy and generate organic polymer PANI through in-situ polymerization, resulting in the preparation of Ti3C2Tx/PANI/CoNi ternary composites that significantly improve impedance matching and microwave absorption performance. The microwave absorption properties of the binary and ternary composites are compared, and the superior performance of the ternary composites is emphasized. Among the ternary composites, M-P-CN 3:1:8 exhibited an excellent microwave absorption performance, demonstrating a minimum RL value of −55.48 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.1 GHz at a thickness of 2.0 mm. The synergistic effect of multiple loss mechanisms, multilayer structures, and multiple interfacial polarization methods further contribute to the enhanced microwave absorption performance of ternary composites. This study provides a straightforward method for synthesizing and designing multi-component composite absorbing materials based on MXene.

Cation Bimetallic MOF Anchored Carbon Fiber for Highly Efficient Microwave Absorption.

Carbon fiber (CF) is a potential microwave absorption (MA) material due to the strong dielectric loss. Nevertheless, owing to the high conductivity, poor impedance matching of carbon-based materials results in limited MA performance. How to solve this problem and achieve excellent MA performance remains a principal challenge. Herein, taking full advantage of CF and excellent impedance matching of bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOF)derivatives layer, an excellent microwave absorber based on micron-scale 1D CF and NiCoMOF (CF@NiCoMOF-800)is developed. After adjusting the oxygen vacancies of the bimetallic MOF, the resultant microwave absorber presented excellent MA properties including the minimum reflection loss (RLmin ) of -80.63dB and wide effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 8.01GHz when its mass percent is only 5wt.% and the thickness is 2.59mm. Simultaneously, the mechanical properties of the epoxy resin (EP)-based coating with this microwave absorber are effectively improved. The hardness (H), elastic modulus (E), bending strength, and compressive strength of CF@NiCoMOF-800/EP coating are 334MPa, 5.56GPa, 82.2MPa, and 135.8MPa, which is 38%, 15%, 106% and 53% higher than EP coating. This work provides a promising solution for carbon materials achieving excellent MA properties and mechanical properties.

A controllable foaming approach for the fabrication of “rattan-like” graphene-based composite aerogel with desirable microwave absorption capacity

As a common environmental pollutant, microwave can cause great harms to human health. The development of high-performance microwave absorber with lightweight is indeed necessary. Herein, “rattan-like” graphene-based composite aerogels, having macroscopic pores surrounded by plenty of small pores, were designed and fabricated via an in-situ foaming then carbonized approach. Firstly, graphene oxide (GO), nanocellulose and ferrous ions were integrated into an aerogel with uniform large pores via a freeze-casting method. Then, the aerogel was immersed into a H2O2 solution, during which bubble clusters generated in situ. These bubbles were driven into the stacked GO sheets and formed small pores. With the increase of the H2O2 concentration from 0.5 to 10 wt%, the count percentage of the small pores in the aerogel increased from 81.5 to 95.2%. After the final carbonization, the graphene sheets were dually interconnected with magnetic nanoparticles and carbonized nanocellulose. The unique porous structure and dual-connected networks endowed the aerogel with enhanced conductive loss and optimized impedance matching capacity, and thus an excellent microwave absorption performance, whose maximum reflection loss achieves −68.5 dB. Further, the aerogel also exhibited superior sound absorption performance (noise reduction coefficient up to 0.91 in 1000–6300 Hz), and good mechanical stability.

Synthesis of ultra-small Co3O4-C core-shell nanoparticles with improved thermal stability and microwave absorption properties

Ultra-small Co3O4-C nanoparticles were synthesized with an average core size of 8.2 nm by annealing CoC nanoparticles in air at a relative low temperature. The formation mechanism of these nanoparticles can be attributed to the presence of defective C shells, the high chemical activity of ultra-small Co nanoparticles, and the gradual oxidation of the C shell during the low-temperature annealing process. The Co3O4-C nanoparticles demonstrated remarkable thermal stability at temperatures of up to 360 °C in air. Moreover, he Co3O4-C nanoparticles exhibited excellent microwave absorption performances, with an optimal reflection loss of −64.2 dB and an effective bandwidth of 6.08 GHz at a single thickness of 2.2 mm. These impressive microwave absorption properties can be attributed to the small size effects, the core-shell nanostructure, and the presence of defective C shells in the nanoparticles. Overall, the as-synthesized Co3O4-C nanoparticles show great potential for future applications as microwave absorbers, thanks to their large bandwidth, strong microwave absorption, and high thermal stability in air.

Molten salt-directed synthesis of carbon nanotube/C3N4/manganese carbodiimide(MnNCN): Novel microwave absorbing materials

Owing to their potential functional performance, metal-substituted carbodiimides of the form M(NCN)x have attracted the attention of scholars. However, the application of these new functional materials in microwave absorption (MA) has rarely been reported. In this study, carbon nanotube (CNT)/C3N4/MnNCN (CCM) was prepared via a facile molten salt strategy (MSS) to develop efficient microwave absorbing materials. The morphology, components, and MA properties of CCM were systematically investigated. The results show that synthesized CCM has an excellent MA performance. Specifically, the effective absorbing bandwidth (EAB) and optimal MA performance of CCM were 5.48 GHz (12.32–17.8 GHz) and −57.7 dB, respectively. The unique structure, special magnetic properties of MnNCN, and multiple loss mechanisms promote the MA properties of CCM. Therefore, this study explored the application of M(NCN)x in the field of MA for the first time and expanded the research on the MSS in the MA field.

Morphology-tailored microwave absorption in MOF-derived Co9S8/Co@N, S dual-doped carbon composites via ligand-exchange induced progressive hollow engineering

Flexible manipulations of morphology and composition have been considered as an art to achieve excellent microwave absorption performance for absorbers derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). In this work, a strategy combining ligand-exchange induced hollow engineering and high-temperature one-step sulfuration has been proposed to fabricate the Co9S8/Co@N, S dual-doped carbon-based absorbers with tailored solid, yolk-shelled and entirely hollow polyhedral morphologies. The progressive hollow engineering not only enables composition control in the sulfuration process, but also endows the proposed absorbers with superior microwave absorption capacity due to the enhanced conductivity loss and Maxwell-Wagner polarization as well as optimized impedance matching. The yolk-shelled Co9S8/Co@N, S dual-doped carbon-based composite achieves a broad effective absorption bandwidth of 5.13 GHz at 1.88 mm with 20 wt% loading and realizes a minimum microwave loss of − 51.78 dB @ 11.63 GHz with 2.37 mm. This work reveals that the joint strategy of ligand-exchange induced hollow engineering and gas-solid reactive thermal process is an effective path to construct high-efficient lightweight multi-interfacial microwave absorbers for addressing the electromagnetic pollutions.

Lightweight aramid nanofibers/carbon nanotubes/MnFe2O4 composite aerogel for highly efficient microwave absorption

With the booming development and wide applications of modern communication technology, wearable devices are becoming more and more popular in our life. Meanwhile, the pollution and radiation of electromagnetic wave (EMW) is becoming increasingly prominent and threating to human health, equipment operation and military security. Multi-component regulation and spatial microstructure design of microwave absorption materials is an effective strategy for solving the pollution and radiation of electromagnetic wave. Herein, aramid nanofibers/carbon nanotubes/MnFe2O4 (ACF) composite aerogel were prepared through the combination of freeze-drying technique and hydrothermal method. Impedance matching of aramid nanofibers/carbon nanotubes aerogel is improved by introducing MnFe2O4 particles, inducing to that EMW is more easily incident into aerogel and then attenuated by microwave absorber. In addition, the three-dimensional networks structure of aerogel can enhance the multiple reflection and scattering, and improve the loss capacity of EMW. ACF05 aerogel exhibits a minimum reflection loss of −64.6 dB at 12.0 GHz and broad effective absorption bandwidth of 5.0 GHz under thickness of 2.1 mm. The excellent microwave absorption (MA) performance of ACF aerogel mainly comes from the synergistic effect of three-dimensional networks structure, impedance matching, dielectric loss and magnetic loss.

Preparation of Metal–Organic-Framework-Derived Fe-CN@CoCN Nanocomposites and Their Microwave Absorption Performance

Microwave technology is commonly used in many fields such as wireless communication and medical treatment, which are closely related to social development. However, electromagnetic pollution caused by microwaves is gradually increasing and the demand for high-performance microwave absorption materials is also increasing. Porous materials obtained by the pyrolysis of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) at high temperatures exhibit good conductivity and magnetism, and the original skeleton structure of MOFs can be maintained; thus, MOF-derived materials can be considered viable candidates of microwave absorption materials. In this paper, Fe-CN@CoCN materials were prepared by pyrolyzing a ferrocene (Fc)-doped core–shell zeolite imidazole framework (Fc-ZIF-8@ZIF-67) at 700, 800, and 900 °C for 2 h in an Ar atmosphere. The obtained Fe-CN@CoCN-0.25-700 nanocomposite exhibited excellent microwave absorption (MA) performance with a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of −42.27 dB at 5.68 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB, RL < −10 dB) of 4.80 GHz at a thickness of 2.5 mm. The Fe-CN@CoCN-0.25-800 nanocomposite possessed optimized MA properties with an RLmin of −40.78 dB at 12.56 GHz and an EAB of 4.16 GHz at relatively low thickness of 2 mm. Fe-CN@CoCN nanocomposites are expected to be efficient materials for microwave absorption coatings.

Microwave-induced biomass pyrolysis coupled with hydrothermal char composites catalysis to selectively prepare phenols-rich liquid products

In this study, three types of hydrothermal char-supported metal nanoparticle composites (HCM-Fe, HCM-Co, and HCM-Ni) were prepared using pinewood as the raw material via an ion hydrothermal pretreatment followed by microwave heating method, which were then served as both catalysts and microwave absorbers to enhance the rapid pyrolysis of pine wood particles for the selective preparation of phenols-rich bio-oil. The combined effects of hydrothermal carbonization and microwave heating enriched the pore structure of the composite surface, yielding ordered carbon structures such as carbon microspheres, carbon nanotubes, and graphite layers. Also, metal nanoparticles were generated and uniformly anchored on the hydrothermal char matrix by the graphite layers. The three types of hydrothermal carbon-based catalysts exhibit excellent microwave absorption performance, facilitating rapid heating of pine particles at a rate as fast as 5.49 °C/s. Among these catalysts, HCM-Co demonstrates the best catalytic performance, efficiently promoting the cleavage of the β-O-4 bond in lignin and achieving a liquid product yield of 38.4 % at 500 °C. The resulting bio-oil is characterized by its richness in phenolic compounds, accounting for 54.9 % of its composition, and partial mitigation of acidity.

Heterostructured BN@Co‐C@C Endowing Polyester Composites Excellent Thermal Conductivity and Microwave Absorption at C Band

AbstractThe trends of miniaturization, lightweight, and high integration in electronics have brought serious issues in heat dissipation and electromagnetic compatibility and also limited the simultaneous use of thermally conductive and microwave absorption materials. Therefore, it is imperative to design materials that possess those dual functions. In this work, one‐pot method is used to anchor zeolitic imidazolate framework ZIF‐67 coated with polydopamine (PDA) on boron nitride (BN) to obtain BN@ZIF‐67@PDA. The pyrolysis product BN@Co‐C@C is used as heterostructured thermally conductive/microwave absorption fillers and blended with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to prepare BN@Co‐C@C/PET composites. When the mass ratio of BN to ZIF‐67@PDA is 7.5:1 and the mass fraction of BN7.5@Co‐C@C is 45 wt%, the BN7.5@Co‐C@C/PET composites exhibit excellent thermal conductivities and microwave absorption performances. The thermal conductivity coefficient is 5.37 W m−1 K−1, which is 35.8 times higher than that of PET (0.15 W m−1 K−1), and also higher than that of 45 wt% (BN7.5/Co‐C@C)/PET composites (4.03 W m−1 K−1) prepared by directly mixing. The minimum reflection loss of 45 wt% BN7.5@Co‐C@C/PET composites are −63.1 dB at 4.72 GHz, and the corresponding effective absorption bandwidth is 1.28 GHz (4.08–5.36 GHz), achieving excellent microwave absorption performance at C band.

Synthesis and electromagnetic wave properties of Ti2.7M0.1T0.2AlC2 (M = Fe, Ni, T = Zr, Mo, W, Ta) powder

Presently, there is a growing interest in exploring materials for absorbing electromagnetic waves (EMW). MAX materials stand out as potential absorbers. However, limited attention has been given to understanding the impact of doping on their intrinsic properties. This study innovatively introduces magnetic metallic elements (Fe, Ni) and transition metallic elements (Mo, Zr, W, Ta) simultaneously into the M site of Ti3AlC2, forming novel ternary MAX phase ceramics. Phase and microstructural analyses indicate the successful preparation of a single solid solution with uniformly distributed elements. Notably, Ti2.7Fe0.1Mo0.2AlC2 exhibits the lowest reflection loss at − 33.9 dB. Ti2.7Ni0.1Ta0.2AlC2 demonstrates the widest absorption bandwidth of 5.10 GHz. Importantly, the matching thicknesses for Ti2.7Fe0.1Mo0.2AlC2 and Ti2.7Ni0.1Ta0.2AlC2 are 2.5 mm and 1.97 mm, respectively. This indicates that the material achieves excellent microwave absorption performance while maintaining a lightweight and thin structure, making it suitable for various specific requirements. We systematically investigated the influence of different doping elements on the microwave absorption properties of Ti3AlC2, with a particular emphasis on the simultaneous introduction of magnetic metallic and transition metallic elements. This dual incorporation has significantly enhanced both dielectric and magnetic losses, offering crucial insights for the design of future innovative microwave absorption materials.

Designing high-performance microwave absorption materials through co-doping strategy: Experimental and theoretical insights

The essence of designing ideal absorption materials is to control the electromagnetic parameters. In this work, doping strategy was adopted to regulate electromagnetic parameters. According to the experimental results and density functional theory calculations, the introduction of Co can make the charge redistribute, distortion increase, bonds length decrease, and bonds energy enhance, which can lead to the reducing of dielectric storage and raising of dielectric loss. Meanwhile, the superfine long nanowires of Co-doped MnO2 can bring abundant surface and interfaces, which improve the polarization relaxations. These changes result in the enhancement of attenuation and improvement of impedance matching feature at the same time. Therefore, the Co-doped MnO2 exhibits excellent microwave absorption performance, the minimal reflection loss is -51.03 dB and effective absorbing bandwidth can reach 7.04 GHz. This work offers an effective approach for the design of high-performance microwave absorption materials, which has been validated through experimental and theoretical evidence.

Interfacial engineering of core–shell structured FeCoNi@SnO2 magnetic composites for tunable radar-infrared compatible stealth

Radar-Infrared (IR) compatible camouflage is challenging as the spectral requirements for two bands differ or even collide with each other. Hence, the development of compatible stealth materials is urgently needed. This study employed a simple method to synthesize core–shell FeCoNi@SnO2 composite materials (MCCMs) with different alloy and SnO2 thicknesses. The unique interfacial engineering, the synergistic effect between multiple components, and the low IR emissivity of SnO2 allow this material to excel in radar-IR compatible stealth. Notably, the electromagnetic (EM) parameters, microwave absorption (MA) capacity, and IR radiation characteristics can be tuned by adjusting the atomic ratios and outer layer thickness, resulting in excellent MA performance along with low IR emissivity. Thereinto, the product has an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 7.20 GHz at 1.20 mm and reflection loss (RL) of −53.54 dB at 5.80 GHz. The core–shell FeCoNi@SnO2 MCCM modified by the SnO2 layer can enhance the EAB and RL values to 8.12 GHz (1.61 mm) and −65.55 dB (11.08 GHz) due to the increased interface polarization. Furthermore, thanks to the strong IR reflection of the SnO2 layer, the obtained composites achieve an IR emissivity of approximately 0.50. This work provides a straightforward for developing radar-IR compatible stealth materials.

Controllable fabrication of CoNi bimetallic alloy for high-performance electromagnetic wave absorption.

With the coming era of artificial intelligence (AI) dominated by high-tech electronics, developing high-performance microwave absorption materials (MAMs) is imperative to solve the problem of increasing electromagnetic inference and pollution. Herein, a metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived CoNi bimetallic alloy (CoNi/C) with an irregular rod-like structure is prepared by a thermal reduction method. Introducing the CoNi alloy facilitates the balance between conduction loss and polarization loss and forms good impedance matching, leading to excellent microwave absorption performance. Interestingly, the optimization of absorption performance can be further achieved by controllably modulating the molar ratio of Co and Ni (Co2+/Ni2+). As expected, the obtained CoNi/C delivers excellent microwave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of -50.80 dB at 10.40 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 3.28 GHz (8.91-12.19 GHz) with a filler loading of 50 wt% at 2.0 mm. In addition, the CoNi/C can reach a maximum EAB of 4.77 GHz (12.99-17.76 GHz) at a low thickness of 1.5 mm, spanning nearly the entire Ku band. The CoNi3/C also exhibits an impressive RLmin of -44.84 dB at 3.28 GHz in the S band. This work offers a novel strategy to modulate the magnetic/electric properties of MOF-derived MAMs.
