Sistema de gestión ISO 9001-2015: Técnicas y herramientas de ingenieria de calidad para su implementación

El presente artículo muestra una evolución de la calidad en función de la normatividad existente en busca de mejora de procesos, además, como las normas ISO 9000 impactan en el mejoramiento continuo de las organizaciones optimizando los productos ofrecidos al consumidor final. De igual forma el análisis de como la ingeniería de calidad realiza los aportes necesarios en la generación de técnicas y métodos de implementación para seguimiento y control de procesos basados en estadísticas y modelos matemáticos útiles para reducción de costos, reducción de tiempos y mejora de calidad de vida de los empleados, finalmente se realiza un interrelacionar de los requisitos de los que trata la norma ISO 9001:2015 y las herramientas que desde la perspectiva de la ingeniería de la Calidad se pudieran aplicar a fin de garantizar el éxito y sostenibilidad de un Sistema de Gestión Calidad en una organización ya sea de bienes o servicios.

The New ISO 19011 Standard for Management System Auditing

For the first time, ISO has turned its attention to the problem of bridging the gap between two of its more famous families of standards, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000, issuing in October 2002 the ISO 19011 international standard, that provides guidelines specifically but not exclusively for quality and/or environmental management system audits. This paper analyzes the main characteristic aspects referring in particular to existing auditing methods and to the Vision 2000 evolution of quality management systems. The paper also focuses on the process of auditor and consultant qualification following introduction of the new concept of competence.

Evolution of quality management: British Benefit Enquiry Line

Crosby suggested that “quality is free”. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the argument that, although it is not free, it can reduce costs. The UK’s Benefit Enquiry Line (BEL) for people with disabilities is used to illustrate this. The evolution of quality management systems implemented by BEL is examined. These include Charter Mark, Service First, Investors in People, the Business Excellence Framework and the EFQM Excellence Model. A comparative analysis is undertaken between the findings of the authors and those of other academic writers. Conclusions are drawn as to the appropriateness of these quality initiatives in facilitating continuous improvement at minimal cost.

Total Quality Control: Evolution of Quality Management Systems

An understanding of industrial total quality control and the evolutionary process experienced for quality systems in business and industry provides guidance for the development of quality management systems in health care laboratories. Quality systems in laboratories are built on quality laboratory practices, have a strong statistical process control or quality control component, and have recently been extended to include broader monitoring for quality assurance. Laboratories need to develop a well-organized quality improvement component and need to place more emphasis on quality planning. All these components, working together, provide the necessary system for quality management.
