2021 International Conference of Environmental Law, Applied Sciences, and Technology (ICOFLAST 2021) The 2021 International Conference of Environmental Law, Applied Sciences, and Technology (ICOFLAST 2021) was organized by Janabadra University. This international conference was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this conference has been held in a hybrid which is online (virtual) and offline. The offline participants come from the local city. However, the participants’ enthusiasm did not prevent them from participating in expressing ideas from the studies that the authors have carried out. Global warming has become an important issue that occurs throughout the world, resulting in the instability of the earth’s cycle. Climate change impacts natural disasters resulting in the loss of ecosystem functions and vulnerabilities in a community as a recipient of disaster risk, thus requiring disaster risk reduction efforts. Therefore, disaster management activities are needed to reduce risk from mitigation and preparedness, emergency response and recovery, and strategic plans. In addition, from a technological perspective, the industrial revolution is one of the causes of global warming, which results in the greenhouse effect and the fulfillment of carbon dioxide gas emissions in the air that affect geological and meteorological cycle conditions. The disasters that arise have a relationship between global warming and sea-level rise due to the addition of seawater mass from melting polar ice every year. In addition, the disaster risk results in loss of community function, victims, material losses, physical damage, and environmental damage. In these two decades, there has been rapid population growth globally. The need for fulfillment of life has resulted in an increase in the supply of gas emissions and the greenhouse effect on earth, which is not balanced with the region‘s capacity. The background of the theme taken in this conference is the Sustainable Conservation Movement to Protect Nature and Global Warming Mitigation. We, the committee, hope that the papers at this conference will contribute to the development and support of future research.
