Knowledge and practice of healthcare providers and associated factors of essential newborn care in Ethiopia: a systematic review and meta-analysis

BackgroundPreventing neonatal mortality and morbidity in developing countries such as Ethiopia requires improved practices and knowledge among healthcare providers. Several studies have been conducted in Ethiopia, but the overall level has not been estimated based on essential newborn care practices, knowledge of health care providers, and associated factors. Therefore, the objective of this review is to assess the overall practice and knowledge of essential newborn care and associated factors among healthcare providers in Ethiopia.Methods and materialsOnly articles published in English were included in this review. Medline/PubMed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, EMBASE, and CINAHL, Scopus, Ethiopian University Repository Online, and the Cochrane Library are the main databases. The review included cross-sectional studies written in English that met the inclusion requirements. Using a random-effects model, the overall practice and knowledge level was estimated. Additionally, funnel plots and Eggers’ test were used to assess publication bias. STATA version 14 was used to perform all statistical analysis.ResultsThis review included 15 studies involving 3,210 health care providers in Ethiopia. In Ethiopia, overall health care providers had a good practice and knowledge level of essential newborn care of 57.38% [95% CI (49.56; 65.20); I2 = 95.3%, P < 0.001] and 54.06% [95% CI (45.07; 63.05); I2 = 95.5%, P < 0.001], respectively. Knowledge, training status, and material availability of healthcare professional were significantly associated with their practice of essential newborn care, while educational qualification and training status were significantly associated with the knowledge of healthcare providers of essential newborn care.ConclusionsOverall, 57% and 54% of healthcare providers had good ENC practices and knowledge. So, the Ethiopian government and other stakeholders should take immediate measures to improve essential neonatal care practice and knowledge among healthcare providers, and improve identified factors.

Using Podcasts to Facilitate Textbook Readings in a Medical-Surgical Nursing Course.

Undergraduate students need to possess the skills to read a nursing textbook critically. Professor-made guided reading podcasts were added to a junior-level first medical-surgical nursing course to develop textbook reading skills and focus on essential knowledge points for success. A total of 148 students were asked to complete a voluntary, anonymous, cross-sectional, descriptive survey about their use and perceptions of the podcasts, with 36.49% (n = 54) of students consenting to participate. Of the participants, 61.11% (n = 33) of students listened to all or most podcasts, and 78% (n = 39) of students agreed or strongly agreed that the podcasts were helpful to their learning. Implementing professor-made guided reading podcasts was a helpful educational innovation to assist nursing students in critically reading the textbook, which will be continued for future course iterations. Mode selective damping behavior of additively manufactured beam structures

AbstractAdditive manufacturing, with its inherent process-related degrees of freedom, offers significant potential for manufacturing high-performance parts. This allows effects to be integrated that enable completely new solution mechanisms for existing conflicting objectives, which means that the degrees of design freedom make it possible to optimize the application-specific behavior of a part. In addition to the thermal or electrical properties, the dynamic behavior of a part can also be optimized, for example. This article focuses on the integration of the particle damping effect, which can contribute significantly to increased part damping. Unfused powder inside the part leads to energy dissipation through impact and friction mechanisms. However, the particle damping effect is not yet fully explored, lacking essential knowledge for application in product design. Therefore, test specimens with particle dampers, manufactured using laser powder bed fusion by laser beam from 1.2709 tool steel, are investigated, with variations in the position and size of the particle-filled cavities. To determine damping, the samples are freely supported and excited with an impulse. The damping ratio is calculated based on the recorded decay behavior. The results show an increase in damping ratio of up to a factor of 70, with the extent of improvement strongly dependent on the cavity’s volume and, crucially, its position relative to the part’s mode shape. A linear relationship between the damping ratio and the displacement of the volume of the cavities of the beams is shown.

Enhancing educational efficiency: Generative AI chatbots and DevOps in Education 4.0

AbstractThe emergence of new technologies has developed a new industrial need for engineering graduate students. This modern industry needs a modern educational framework to support further development. This research revolves around developing the learning methodological approach for university courses that aligns with Education 4.0 and can fulfill the essential knowledge requirements for future engineers in Industry 4.0. We used a constructive approach as a baseline methodology already proven in the field of engineering education. On the other hand, we modified this approach by implementing Industry 4.0 standards, such as Agile methodology, DevOps tools, and Artificial intelligence chatbots. In this way, we managed to establish one more step in the digital transformation of education as one of the paramount cornerstones of Industry 4.0. As a result, during the course, Agile methodology and DevOps tools created a learning environment very similar to the real software development environment in companies. The efficiency of the delivery of the learning material also increased by implementation and integration of AI chatbots. This was tracked by the number of projects developed during course implementation. The study showed that in the field of education, the implementation of novel approaches developed in the industry to increase efficiency can be implemented in the educational environment. It also showed that the implementation of those methodologies does not hinder but improves the efficiency of the educational cycle.

Important intergenerational transmission of knowledge in promotion of well-being and cultural identity in Greenland

ABSTRACT The “Kinguaariit Inuunerissut” (KI) camps, meaning “generations in well-being” in Greenlandic, was a pilot initiative designed to enhance cultural identity and intergenerational connections through culturally relevant activities. The outcomes of the KI-camps have informed the development of a broader KI-concept aiming at tailoring and implementing elements from KI-camps into early childhood education services, after-school programmes, and schools. In this paper we present the results from three workshop held in January 2024 in Sisimiut, Greenland where 28 older participants and 28 professionals were asked about essential knowledge and skills to be passed down to younger generations. The focus was on songs, storytelling/myths, the spiritual world, animals, plants, skills in nature/home, and handicrafts. Results shows that older people and professionals agree on the importance of passing down cultural knowledge through all the different categories and support the need to integrate these elements into educational programmes to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen community cohesion. The findings will guide the integration of intergenerational activities into municipal institutions and contribute to culturally relevant health promotion strategies in Greenland.

Voices of Elementary Computer Science Teachers: Computer Science Integration Rationales and Practices

Objectives . Computer Science (CS) education has become increasingly prevalent in elementary schools because of multiple rationales, such as the importance of computational literacy and the growing demand for CS-related workforce preparation. As elementary CS standards continue to be adopted by many states, more examples and voices from the field may help educators understand what effective computational thinking (CT)/CS integration looks like in practice. Method . We employed a descriptive qualitative approach to study eight award-winning K-8 CS teachers and aimed to answer three research questions: (1) What were elementary CS teachers’ rationales for CT/CS integration? (2) How do elementary CS teachers integrate CT/CS into their classroom practices? (3) What are the needs of CS teachers for meaningful CT/CS integration in elementary schools? Data were collected through interviews, a questionnaire, and artifacts and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings . Our findings of elementary CS teachers’ rationales for CT/CS integration encompassed its essential nature as a literacy skill, its potential to promote equity in education, and its alignment with standards across various disciplines. To support CT/CS integration at the elementary level, CS teachers described important aspects with examples from their instructional practices: (a) Real-world applications; (b) hands-on activities; (c) strategies to scaffold and guide student learning; (d) collaboration with classroom teachers; and (e) support from professional development (PD). Conclusion . The study results shared CS teachers’ voices from practice and shed light on the urgent need for more support and PD opportunities for both homeroom teachers and CS teachers in elementary schools, as well as the crucial need for multiple levels of support within K-12 school systems. Continuous efforts in creating systematic and sustainable PD plans and supporting collaborative professional communities for teachers within the instructional context are a must to help prepare our elementary students with the essential CS knowledge and skills they need to thrive in this technology-rich society.

Application of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Multi-Criteria Evaluation (MCE) for a case study and scenario assessment of flood risk in the White Volta Basin of the Upper East Region, Ghana

In recent years, Ghana, particularly the inhabitants of the Upper East Region, has experienced profound impact of flooding, largely attributable to the complex interplay of climatic factors. This research embarks on a comprehensive assessment of flood risk zones nestled within the White Volta Basin, situated in the Upper East Region. The study employs advanced cartographic methodologies and uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in conjunction with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to systematically categorize areas susceptible to inundation. Leveraging geospatial datasets acquired from satellites such as Landsat and Sentinel. Topographic, slope, and Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) maps have been constructed. The empirical findings underscore the susceptibility of specific regions, including the Talensi District, territories within Bawku West, and some segments of the Bolgatanga Municipal area, to escalated flood risk. Additionally, the research underscores the high vulnerability of communities such as Nunku, Tolla, Zaare, Pwalugu, Balungu, Winkongo, Biung, and Tongo to the negative impact of inundation. Significantly, the study unveils a pivotal factor in the perpetuation of flood devastation—namely, the role of water discharge. This intrinsic linkage between discharge rates and flood occurrences underscores the pressing need to address this critical component in mitigation strategies to reduce adverse impacts on the basin’s resident communities. The insights derived from the study offer some level of hope for residents, providing essential knowledge concerning flood-prone areas and optimal timing for agricultural activities to safeguard their cherished livelihoods.

Advancing radiology education for medical students: leveraging digital tools and resources

This study evaluates diverse educational resources to address the gaps in diagnostic radiology education for medical students, aiming to identify tools that enhance theoretical knowledge and practical diagnostic skills. Employing a multi-faceted review, we analyzed digital platforms, academic databases, and social media for resources beneficial to medical students in radiology, assessing their accessibility, content quality, and educational value. Our investigation uncovered a broad spectrum of resources, from foundational platforms to advanced simulation tools, varying in their approach to teaching radiology. Traditional resources provide essential theoretical knowledge, while digital tools, including interactive case studies and multimedia content, offer immersive learning experiences. Notably, resources integrating machine learning and social media facilitate dynamic, peer-to-peer learning and up-to-date case discussions. Despite the minimal current focus on VR, its role in enhancing interactive learning is notable. The diversity in educational tools highlights the evolving nature of radiology education, reflecting a shift towards more engaging and practical learning methodologies. Identifying and integrating a variety of educational resources into radiology education can significantly enhance learning outcomes for medical students, preparing them for the complexities of modern diagnostic radiology with a well-rounded educational approach.

Updated ASM Curriculum Guidelines describe core microbiology content to modernize the framework for microbiology education.

Curricular guidelines promote standardized approaches to coverage of essential knowledge and skills in undergraduate education. The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Microbiology were developed in 2012. Continuous, rapid growth of knowledge in science and a dynamic, changing world necessitate updates to these guidelines. As such, ASM formed a task force in the summer of 2022. The task force assessed the 2012 ASM Curriculum Guidelines considering advancements in technology, an understanding of an expanded role of microbes, and a broader scope addressing relevant social and environmental aspects of microbiology. Language in the updated guidelines was also modified to better include eukaryotic microbes, viruses, and other acellular microbes. The task force formed working groups, each aimed at revising specific sections of the 2012 ASM Curriculum Guidelines. The revisions to the ASM Curriculum Guidelines were reviewed by subject matter experts and education stakeholders. Feedback from this peer review was incorporated into the updated guidelines, and further comments were solicited from the ASM Conference of Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE) attendees in November 2023 before these guidelines were finalized. In this article, we describe the rationale and development of updated ASM Curriculum Guidelines which identify foundational concepts that will serve to improve microbial literacy and that can be expanded upon to address more advanced and specialized topics.

Research and innovation of the “ship navigation radar” course based on the four‐in‐one approach in engineering education accreditation

AbstractTo achieve the strategic goal of marine and transportation power, it is imperative to cultivate highly skilled navigation professionals with a strong theoretical foundation and practical expertize. Seizing the opportunity by the “Double Thousand Plan” first‐class undergraduate courses initiated by the Ministry of Education, a four‐in‐one experimental teaching model is developed for ship navigation radar courses that integrate virtual reality technology under the context of engineering certification. The model encompasses land laboratory real training, maritime radar simulator training platform, comprehensive real‐ship training at sea, and virtual laboratory teaching and training. Through this innovative approach, students can acquire essential knowledge of ship navigation radar required for practical activities in navigation practice while honing their operational skills in positioning, navigation, and collision avoidance using radars. Furthermore, an analysis of course attainment and future development trends is conducted to provide insights into enhancing maritime education and fostering internationally competitive shipping talents.

Drivers of growth and decay of Sargassum in the Tropical Atlantic: A Lagrangian approach

The proliferation of Sargassum in the Tropical Atlantic has occurred almost every year since 2011, but a strong variability of biomass is observed among years. Essential knowledge about the drivers of Sargassum growth and decay is still lacking to explain this interannual variability. Benefiting from accurate basin scale Sargassum detections provided by remote sensing, and from physical and biogeochemical ocean simulations, we developed a Lagrangian drift-growth model to simulate Sargassum distribution over the period 2016–2020. The resulting trajectories and biomass time series of Sargassum aggregates were analyzed to highlight the main limiting factors of growth and decay. The nitrogen and phosphorous concentrations are found to be weakly restrictive compared to physical limiting factors, especially the temperature. In particular, the warm waters found off northern Brazil appear to be instrumental in triggering the end of seasonal growth of Sargassum. The timing of the seasonal warming of this region strongly impacts the quantities of Sargassum simulated each year. This suggests that this region should be monitored to anticipate the development of Sargassum and resulting strandings.

The association between dietary knowledge based on the Chinese Dietary Guidelines and adherence to healthy dietary habits: a large-scale cross-sectional study

IntroductionPrevious systematic review has shown that individuals with more comprehensive dietary knowledge tend to engage in healthier eating patterns among American or European population. However, research on the association between dietary knowledge based on the Chinese Dietary Guidelines and healthy dietary behaviors, particularly among adolescents and college students in China, is lacking. This study aimed to examine the association between dietary knowledge based on the Chinese Dietary Guidelines and adherence to healthy dietary behaviors among adolescents and college students in China.MethodsA cross-sectional study was conducted in China in August and October 2023. The study involved 527 adolescents and 11,856 college students. A convenience and cluster sampling methodology was employed to select one or two grades from 33 different university majors. The dietary behaviors of college students were evaluated by assessing their consumption of nine food groups: water, eggs, milk and milk products, vegetables, fruit, red meat, soy and soy products, seafood, and sugar-sweetened beverages. The dietary behaviors of adolescents were evaluated by assessing their consumption of five food groups: fast food, salty snack foods, fruits, vegetables, and soft drinks and sugared fruit beverages. The participants’ dietary knowledge was assessed using the Chinese Dietary Guidelines. The relationship between dietary knowledge and behaviors was examined using a multivariate logistic regression analysis.ResultsThe questionnaire response rate was 100.0%. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed a significant positive association between dietary knowledge and the likelihood of exhibiting diverse dietary behaviors among college students. After adjusting for gender, age, family income, place of residence, and parents’ education levels, the results demonstrated a positive association between dietary knowledge and adherence to 4–8 eating habits among college students. In contrast, similar association was not observed among adolescent.ConclusionThis study revealed a significant association between dietary knowledge based on the Guidelines and adherence to healthy dietary behaviors among college students in China. That is to say, the higher the level of dietary knowledge based on the Guidelines among college students, the healthier the dietary behaviors they tend to adopt in their daily lives. These findings indicate the necessity of developing educational interventions based on the Guidelines to enhance dietary knowledge among individuals with limited dietary knowledge. Such interventions could facilitate the acquisition of essential health-related knowledge and strengthen motivation to engage in healthy dietary behaviors. Future studies should employ longitudinal prospective designs or randomized controlled trials in order to establish a causal association between dietary knowledge based on the Guidelines and healthy dietary behaviors.

Revolutionizing Ocean Cleanup: A Portuguese Case Study with Unmanned Vehicles Fighting Spills

It is of the utmost importance for every country to monitor and control maritime pollution within its exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) has developed and implemented the CleanSeaNet (CSN) satellite monitoring system to aid in the surveillance and control of hydrocarbon and hazardous substance spills in the ocean. This system’s primary objective is to alert European Union (EU) coastal states to potential spills within their EEZs, enabling them to take the necessary legal and operational actions. To reduce operational costs and increase response capability, the feasibility of implementing a national network (NN) of unmanned vehicles (UVs), both surface and aerial, was explored using a Portuguese case study. The following approach and analysis can be easily generalized to other case studies, bringing essential knowledge to the field. Analyzing oil spill alert events in the Portuguese EEZ between 2017 and 2021 and performing a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis, essential information has been proposed for the optimal location of an NN of UVs. The study results demonstrate that integrating spill alerts at sea with UVs may significantly improve response time, costs, and personnel involvement, making maritime pollution combat actions more effective.

Unlocking the Chemical and Structural Complexity of Aluminum Hydroxy Acetates: from Commodity Chemicals to Porous Materials.

Aluminum acetates have been in use for more than a century, but despite their widespread commercial applications, essential scientific knowledge of their synthesis-structure-property relationships is lacking. High-throughput screening, followed by fine tuning and extensive optimization of reaction conditions using Al3+, OH- and CH3COO- ions, has unraveled their complex synthetic chemistry, yielding for the first time the four phase pure products Al(OH)(O2CCH3) ⋅ x H2O (x = 0, 2) (1A and CAU-65, 1B), Al3O(HO2CCH3)(O2CCH3)7 (2), and the porous aluminum salt [Al24(OH)56(CH3COO)12](OH)4 (CAU-55-OH, 3). Structure determination by electron and X-ray diffraction was carried out and the data suggested porosity for 1B and 3, which was confirmed by physisorption experiments. Even the scale-up to the 10 L scale was accomplished for 1A, 1B and 3 with yields of up to 1.1 kg (99%). This study of a seemingly simple chemical system provides important information on both fundamental inorganic chemistry and porous materials.

Development of the Joint Expeditionary Medical Officer.

The Uniformed Services University is known for its dual mission of preparing military medical officers for operational readiness and leadership roles. The Joint Expeditionary Medical Officer (JEMO) project is a novel internal program that was initiated in 2022 and aims to fortify and evaluate the essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) within the School of Medicine's Molecules to Military Medicine curriculum that are pivotal for the development of a deployment-ready military medical officer. The JEMO-KSA program identifies and deliberately develops a core set of mission-critical skills during the course of students' undergraduate medical education. This helps ensure that Uniformed Services University graduates attain a strong foundational level of operational readiness across various military medical domains. Currently, 371 distinct KSAs have been integrated into the curriculum, with over 86% being assessed at different time frames. Over time, our goal is to present individual students with a customized JEMO "report card" depicting their readiness level; a document that could be updated and expanded throughout their military medical career. The JEMO project represents a significant stride toward optimizing the readiness of military medical officers by systematically identifying, strengthening, and assessing vital operational skills and abilities. With an ongoing commitment to excellence, the project envisages creating an even more robustly structured curriculum that is continually refined to address current operational readiness, setting a new standard for military medical education. While challenges such as accurately measuring the impact of integrated KSAs and continuously updating them to meet evolving military needs remain, the forward momentum associated with the JEMO project will help facilitate the development of military medical officers who have the KSAs to actively support mission success while simultaneously enhancing the overall effectiveness of military health care.

Integrating Digital Authentic Materials in ESP Classrooms: Effects on Kazakh Students’ Language Proficiency and Student Engagement

The primary aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of selected task-design strategies for integrating digital authentic materials into ESP instruction. It mainly focuses on how teachers navigated this alternative learning environment and the challenges they experienced. A mixed-methods approach was employed, gathering quantitative data through standardized tests and qualitative data through interviews and classroom observations. The study involved thirty-five language instructors from the English language departments of two leading Kazakh universities. The results revealed that critical media literacy instruction to use authentic materials in language learning significantly enhances language proficiency and engagement and effectively equips students with the necessary skills to navigate and assess the digital information landscape. These findings underscore the potential of digital authentic materials in language instruction, paving the way for a promising future in language education. The research highlights the importance of integrating digital literacy into the curriculum to prepare students for the demands of the digital age. The research findings provide vital insights for policymakers and stakeholders to deliberate on effective professional development programs. These programs can assist educators in addressing challenges and acquiring essential content knowledge, pedagogical expertise, and technological competence.

Annona squamosa Linn.: A Review of Its Ethnobotany, Pharmacology, Phytochemistry, Toxicity, and Conservation Needs

Nature exhibits a unique beauty that is both recognized and integrated into human practices globally. Annona squamosa Linn., commonly known as “sweet sugar,” is a small medicinal shrub cultivated for its fruits. This species is widely distributed across Asia, Africa, North and South America, and Brazil. Traditionally, it has been used for its antidiabetic, antihypertensive, insecticidal, and antimicrobial properties. This article is based on the literature review collected from various sources such as Scopus, Sci-Hub, PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct, and SciFinder. The literature review reveals that A. squamosa possesses numerous promising pharmacological activities due to its rich array of active phytoconstituents. This review provides essential knowledge for future research, guiding investigators in exploring the plant’s pharmacological activities, isolating bioactive fractions, and implementing these findings in the management of various diseases.

Gender and Sexuality Awareness in Medical Education and Practice: Mixed Methods Study.

The integration of gender and sexuality awareness in health care is increasingly recognized as vital for patient outcomes. Despite this, there is a notable lack of comprehensive data on the current state of physicians' training and perceptions in these areas, leading to a gap in targeted educational interventions and optimal health care delivery. The study's aim was to explore the experiences and perceptions of attending and resident physicians regarding the inclusion of gender and sexuality content in medical school curricula and professional practice in Israel. This cross-sectional survey targeted a diverse group of physicians across various specializations and experience levels. Distributed through Israeli Medical Associations and professional networks, it included sections on experiences with gender and sexuality content, perceptions of knowledge, the impact of medical school curricula on professional capabilities, and views on integrating gender medicine in medical education. Descriptive and correlational analyses, along with gender-based and medical status-based comparisons, were used, complemented, and enhanced by qualitative analysis of participants' replies. The survey, encompassing 189 respondents, revealed low-to-moderate exposure to gender and sexuality content in medical school curricula, with a similar perception of preparedness. A need for more comprehensive training was widely recognized. The majority valued training in these areas for enhancing professional capabilities, identifying 10 essential gender-related knowledge areas. The preference for integrating gender medicine throughout medical education was significant. Gender-based analysis indicated variations in exposure and perceptions. The study highlights a crucial need for the inclusion of gender and sexuality awareness in medical education and practice. It suggests the necessity for curriculum development, targeted training programs, policy advocacy, mentorship initiatives, and research to evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions. The findings serve as a foundation for future directions in medical education, aiming for a more inclusive, aware, and prepared medical workforce.

Lymph nodes in oral squamous cell carcinoma: a comprehensive anatomical perspective.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) often exhibits a propensity for metastasis to lymph nodes (LNs), significantly influencing prognosis. Neck dissection (ND) is an important part in the treatment of OSCC. Variations in the preference for and pathways of lymph node metastasis (LNM) in different regions of the oral cavity have been observed. Currently, there is a lack of sufficient emphasis on the anatomical perspectives of LNM and ND. This review elucidates the lymphatic system of the maxillofacial regions from an anatomical standpoint, details the distribution of the sentinel LNs across different subsites, and summarizes the various classifications of the cervical LNs. Additionally, we elaborate on the methods used to study the lymphatic system, particularly imaging techniques. Furthermore, we investigate the pathways of cervical LNM and evaluate the efficacy of ND from an anatomical viewpoint. The overall objective of this review is to provide essential anatomical knowledge for managing LNs in OSCC, in the hope of providing patients with effective treatment modalities to enhance their quality of life.

Development of a virtual teaching module for advanced semiconductor fabrication and its learning effectiveness analysis

AbstractSemiconductor fabrication is the process of manufacturing semiconductor devices, typically integrated circuits (ICs) such as microprocessors and memory. This involves transferring circuit diagrams onto a silicon wafer using photomasks and photoresists. After a series of fabrication processes, ICs are created on the wafer surface and then diced into individual chips, which are packaged and tested with quality control procedures to become the final products. Virtual reality (VR) simulates imaginary experiences or environments difficult to achieve in the real world through human senses and immersive equipment, allowing users to interact in a virtual 3D space in real time, making it well suited for applications in science education and industrial training. This study transforms the essential knowledge of advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes into an easily understandable virtual teaching module, thereby creating educational resources for high school and college students. The objective is to enhance their scientific and technological literacy, yielding substantial benefits for the general public. This study utilized VR technology to simplify and clarify the knowledge about the semiconductor manufacturing process, making it more engaging for learners. The virtual teaching module's learning content includes an overview of wafer preparation, semiconductor fabrication, chip packaging, and IC testing. Users can interact with the virtual teaching module and conduct virtual experiments to enhance their understanding by trial and error. Experimental results show that it can improve students' learning achievement and learning motivation. Therefore, the virtual teaching module is suitable for high‐school students and the general public to understand semiconductor technology and its applications. The effectiveness of the virtual teaching module is heavily dependent on the availability and quality of VR hardware and software. Limited access to advanced VR equipment or technical issues could have affected the learning experience, thereby influencing the learning outcomes.
