Analysis of Screw Press Machine Performance Using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method at PT Agro Synergy Nusantara

PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara PKS Aceh Seujahtera is a company engaged in the plantation and processing of oil palm fruit, where the production is in the form of crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernel and fiber. This factory has 2 horizontal type sterilizers with a capacity of 40 tons each. One machine that has a vital role in the production process is the screw press. Based on the results of observations and interviews with the company, it was found that the screw press machine was often damaged in the production process, as a result the production process was stopped and production results were not optimal, besides that the company would also experience losses. The purpose of this research is to measure the performance of the Screw Press Machine at PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara by calculating OEE through 3 main factors, namely Availability Ratio, Performance Effeciency Ratio, and Quality Ratio and determining corrective actions that can improve the performance of the Screw Press machine. The results of the performance analysis on the screw press machine obtained an Availability Ratio value of 84.52%, Performance Effeciency Ratio of 86.68%, Quality Ratio of 100%, and OEE of 73.37%. Based on a comparison with the Word Class Ideal Standard, only the Quality Ratio value meets the standard while the Availability Ratio, Performance Effeciency Ratio, and OEE have not met, meaning that the overall performance of the Screw Press Machine has decreased and has not met the Word Class Ideal Standard and it is necessary to improve the performance of the machine. Recommendations for improvements that can be made to improve the performance of the screw press machine again are to carry out routine maintenance on machine components so that damage can be prevented before severe damage occurs and cause longer downtime, conduct training for workers so that they can develop themselves and know more about the machine and the responsibilities that must be carried out, reinforce the implementation of routine and scheduled maintenance (preventive maintenance), and increase supervision during the FFB sorting process.

Analisis Efektivitas Gas Turbine Generator pada PT Mitra Energi Batam

PT Mitra Energi Batam is one of the Gas Power Plants (PLTG) and regulates the electricity supply of Batam city with PT PLN-Batam. According to the tabulation of PT Mitra Energi Batam's production data from September 2022 to September 2023, the rolls-royce Gas Turbine Generator production engine has a downtime value of 805.60 hours. The purpose of the study is to find out the factors that cause high downtime and know how to minimize it. Using the proposed Overall Equipment Effectiveness method as a way to measure Losses due to production disruptions by taking six big loss and Fishbone diagrams to find the cause and effect of Losses that cause failure of machine or equipment operations. The results of the study of the highest OEE value in August 2023 were 98.54%, the lowest OEE value was in April 2023 which was 0%, the cause was severe damage to the power turbine blade which required engine replacement, but was constrained by the time of the engine spare delivery process. The six big Losses factor that contributed the most to the OEE value was idling minor stoppage with an average value of 8.83% and equipment failure Losses with an average value of 8.81%.

Increased Productivity of Packing Machines Through Implementation of Total Productive Maintenance Using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method Case Study of PT. GFPJ

In the world's manufacturing industry, increasing productivity is very important in fulfilling domestic and international markets as well as maintaining customer confidence. The company is trying to increase productivity in production. The fact that the packing machine is in an inefficient condition and the management is trying to implement it. in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to maximize the effectiveness of machine facilities in the industry. Then corrective actions are tested using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, which is the calculation method used in this OEE value is determined by availability, performance and quality. The low OEE value of the packing machine at PT. GFPJ results from the availability value of = 60% for the results of the performance value of = 100% and the value of quality = 93%, it can be concluded that the OEE value obtained on the machine packing is 59.86%, while the international OEE standard is 87%, so it needs improvement. The factor that becomes a priority for improvement is the performance or performance of the machine in producing concrete, because the performance value is the lowest value of the three factors that affect the OEE value.

Analisis Pemeliharaan Mesin Extrusion Press Pada Produksi Ban Dengan Menggunakan Penerapan Total Productive Manitenance (TPM) di PT. XYZ

PT. XYZ is a company that produces motorcycle and car tires. This company has a fairly broad product market, so the products it manufactures have good product quality. In producing tires, one of the machines used in producing tires is an extrusion press machine. In carrying out its production, the extrusion press experiences downtime in the period August-December 2022, where the biggest downtime occurs in August, which has a downtime of 1890 minutes. After conducting an analysis using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness method to determine the level of effectiveness of the extrusion press machine, the OEE value calculation results from the August-December 2022 range are less than the international standard value of 85%. so we need an increase in the OEE value on the extrusion press machine. In increasing the OEE value, better engine maintenance is needed, so the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) method is used as an effort to make engine maintenance even more effective.

Improving Performance and Electricity Production with the Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method as the Basis for the Proposed Application of the Total Productive Maintenance Concept on the PLTS Equipment System at Soekarno-Hatta Airport

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is one of the airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura II as the airport operator. At Soekarno-Hatta Airport there are several PLTS (Solar Power Plant) facilities, one of which is located at Terminal 3 of the Airport. There are 2 PLTS locations in Terminal 3, namely PLTS with a capacity of 2Å~60 KWp in Domestic Terminal 3 and a capacity of 2Å~60 KWp in International Terminal 3. Technically, based on the report on the activity, the PLTS production value has decreased in performance and production in 2020. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the OEE value, identify Six Big Losses, and analyze maintenance and repair data as an effort to implement the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) concept for improve the performance and production of PV mini-grid. The method used in this paper uses the calculation of the value of OEE, Six Big Losses and causal analysis using a fishbone diagram. Based on the results of calculations at international terminal 3 the OEE value is 95.59% and in domestic terminal 3 it is 94.56%. At the airport, the expected availability value is above 99.18%, but at the domestic Terminal 3 it has an availability value of 96.93%. Regarding the calculation of the value of Six big losses, the largest percentage is in Reduce Speed Losses, where the value for International Terminal 3 is 95.71% and Domestic Terminal 3 is 94.35%. Reduce Speed Losses related to the operation function of PLTS not running well so that the performance and electricity production produced by PLTS is not as expected.

Total Productive Maintenance Analysis of The Oven Machine Using Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method

The oven machine is one of the important components of the production process in the bakery company. CV Halalan Thoyiban is a bakery company engaged in the manufacture of various breads. The products of this company are various bread such as Bakpia Green Bean and Bakpia Green Coconut. The problem that occurs in the company is the low efficiency of bakpia bread production, caused by the large number of machine breakdowns so that the optimal level of machine productivity is not achieved. The production machine, especially the oven machine often breaks down and causes the production process to stop. Based on these problems, in this study, an analysis of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) was carried out using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to measure the effectiveness of the machine. Further analysis of the cause-and-effect diagram is conducted to propose the improvement recommendation. The results of the analysis show the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for the oven machine obtained an average of 38.1%, where the activity measured at the availability index is 59.72%, the performance index is 68.90% and the quality ratio is 93.30%. The OEE value is low and does not meet the World Class standard. The main causes are large breakdowns and long maintenance processes. The first improvement recommendation is applying preventive maintenance based on the planned maintenance schedule. The second recommendation is providing a training to operators about machine operation and maintenance. And the last is providing a simple installation for gas cylinder to avoid the long changing time to maximize performance of the oven machine.

ANALISIS PENERAPAN PERAWATAN PADA MESIN DIGESTER DENGAN METODE OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS (OEE) PT. XYZ


 XYZ is a company engaged in the processing of palm oil into crude palm oil (CPO). In processing oil palm fruit, the digester machine is one of the machines that crush the loose fruit so that the pulp of the palm fruit can be separated from the nuts / seeds and this will facilitate the pressing process of the oil palm fruit in a screw press. Total productive maintenance (TPM) is a system that is useful in increasing factory productivity and the efficiency of company production by using machines / equipment effectively used to produce a product. The main purpose of implementing TPM is carried out through the overall equipment effectiveness analysis method to identify and types of damage to critical components that are the object of research and to increase the overall equipment effectiveness value as a performance measure of the results of this study. To determine the comparison of the overall equipment effectiveness value, the calculation of the effectiveness value of the digester machine is carried out using the overall equipment effectiveness method. Based on the results of data processing, it can be concluded that the overall equipment effectiveness value of the digester machine is 3.95%, which is obtained from the availability ratio of 41.24%, the performance efficiency ratio of 157.57 and the rate of quality product of 100%.

Research on Effectiveness Evaluation Method of Weapon Equipment

Due to the wide application of high and new technology in weapons and equipment, modern weapons present the characteristics of complexity and systematization, and their effectiveness analysis and evaluation are paid more and more attention, which has become an arduous and urgent task in the research of weapon equipment system. Only by using scientific methods and technology to evaluate the effectiveness of various types of weapons and equipment, can we have a profound understanding of the characteristics and application value of weapons and equipment, ensure that the army can give full play to the operational potential of weapons and equipment, improve the operational efficiency, and explore the correct direction of the construction and development of weapons and equipment. Therefore, systematic research on weapon equipment effectiveness evaluation method is a necessary way for every military equipment effectiveness researcher to seek effective and accurate quantitative analysis of weapon equipment effectiveness method.

EVALUASI OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS SEBAGAI UPAYA PERBAIKAN PRODUKTIVITAS MESIN PRODUKSI KAIN NON-WOVENS (STUDI KASUS PT. MEGAH SEMBADA INDUSTRIES)

The manufacturing industry has a system for applying machinery, labor, equipment and raw materials to be transformed into a product that has a sale value. Production machinery and equipment are the main resources that cannot be separated from the overall resource system owned by the company. At PT. Sumber Wovens Utama production machines are used nonstop and cause a decrease in performance of these machines which include frequent breakdowns, loss of ideal speed, and poor quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the overall value of the effectiveness of the production machinery at this time, to find the root cause of the overall equipment effectiveness value is not as expected, and to provide an improvement to the cause of the low value of the overall equipment effectiveness of the non-wovens fabric production machine. The method used in this research is the Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method to calculate the level of effectiveness and productivity of production machines, Fishbone Diagrams to solve problems in projects and Analysis of 5 why to provide improvements to the level of productivity of these machines. The results showed that the average overall equipment effectiveness value for the period November 2018 - April 2019 was 83.2%, this value was still below the world class standard of 85%. Therefore, it is given an improvement over the overall equipment effectiveness value not being achieved by making regular maintenance schedules for production machines, making standard product changeover procedures, making standard parameters for each type of product and updating it every 1 month, etc. so that it gets good results, namely increases the overall equipment effectiveness value of the production machine to be 88.30%.Keywords: Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Fishbone Diagram, 5 why analys, Mesin Produksi, Kain Non-wovens, Production Machine, Non-wovens Fabric

Improved YM Laser Machine Performance with Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Fault Tree Analysis Methods Implementation at PT. XYZ

In the development of the shoe-making industry, demanding companies continue to improve the quality and quality of production. PT. XYZ responded by improving the performance of the YM Laser machine which is the main engine in the sports shoe production line. The approach is carried out using the entire Equipment Effectiveness Method and Error Tree Analysis. The purpose of this study is to measure the ratio of value availability, performance ratio, quality ratio, total value of OEE on YM Laser machines, identify the root causes of problems and make improvement plans to improve machine performance. YM Laser Machines have a Overall Average Equipment Effectiveness Value of 75.89%. After researching with the OEE method, it was found that the root of the problem was to reduce speed. Furthermore, the investigation using a cause and effect diagram, obtained the main cause is a machine factor. All problems found were solved using Fault Tree Analysis on engine factors and their improvement efforts to make standard lens replacement so that the lens is always in optimal condition, changing the quality of the switch so that it is not easily damaged again, and regularly updating software and replacing standard bolts.

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Analysis on Lathe Machines using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method and Six Big Losses

C.V. Oni Jaya is a company engaged in manufacturing by producing / modifying motorcycle parts. This company is inseparable from problems related to the effectiveness of equipment or machinery. One of the causes of the disruption of the production process is the lack of maintenance management on the machine. Measurement of the level of effectiveness of the machine by using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, the OEE calculation starts from January 2017 until December 2017. In the data processing, it can be seen that the set up and adjustment factors, Reduced Speed Loss and Breakdown Loss have the largest percentage of the six factors causing losses that affect the effectiveness of the machine. Analysis is done by looking at the cumulative percentage of six big losses factors against the total time loss caused by each factor of the six big losses.

Analysis of Double indian Ballbreaker Net Sorter Machine Based on Overall Equipment Effectiveness Method Cases in Tea Plantation Plants

In a factory, the position of the production machine plays an important role because if the engine is damaged it will disrupt the production target. This study analyzes the performance of Double Indian Ballbreaker Net Sorter (DIBN) machines, one of the machines used to produce orthodox tea which in the fact, this machine often damaged and has high downtime. This leads to a low level of machine availability in the Production Department. For that, we need an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method to measure the performance and the level of effectiveness of the machine and six big losses factor analysis to find out what factors cause low of OEE value. Based on the OEE calculation results, the value of OEE DIBN machine is 53.98%. The result is still far from the standard set by the Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance of 85%. From six big losses, it is known that the most influencing factors to decrease the effectiveness of DIBN machines are rework losses (23.33%), reduced yield losses (20.17%) and reduced speed of 19.49%.

Analisa Perawatan Mesin Pulper Menggunakan Metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Pulper machines. The research was conducted using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness method. The research conducted at a company engaged in the Pulp & Paper field. Data collected by interviews and conducting direct observations in the area during February 2017. Based on the research, it can conclude that the Pulley OEE value was obtained by 77.31% with the main factor causing damage was Broken Ragger by 46%. The proposed improvements that can be given to minimize the incidence of broken ragger are training of ragger machine operators regularly, planning maintenance of scheduled ragger machines as well as providing tools to make it easier for operators to repair damaged machines
