Why is it important? Financial literacy in students in entrepreneurship: A systematic literature review

This paper aims to analyze financial literacy in students a foundational understanding of personal finance management in addition to more intricate financial concepts like corporate risk analysis and capital management techniques. A comprehensive evaluation of the literature has been conducted by locating 155 studies from different sources. 36 papers were determined to be pertinent for the current investigation after the 155 research were eliminated based on selection criteria. The results of the study show that financial literacy has a significant impact on the success of students in entrepreneurship, both in planning, management, and business development. This article also provides recommendations for the development of a more comprehensive entrepreneurship education curriculum, which integrates financial literacy as a core competency. This paper develops a research model that can be used for universities or policymakers who need to create financial skills in entrepreneurial students in order to improve financial performance.

Cooperative learning to strengthen entrepreneurship and management skills in high school students

This study evaluated how cooperative learning strengthens entrepreneurship and management skills in high school students. A quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach was conducted, involving 80 students divided into intervention and control groups. A questionnaire was administered before and after the experiment, revealing that cooperative learning leads to significant improvements in the quality of education compared to traditional learning methods. The main findings showed that key competencies in entrepreneurship and management are enhanced through cooperative learning, making this methodology essential for improving students' academic and professional skills.

Obstacles to the application of comprehensive quality standards in the colleges of Asmariya Islamic University from the point of view of faculty members ((The College of Humanities for Girls as a model)))

Technology has now become an urgent necessity in various fields، and it performs many functions that save people time and effort، and among these fields are: the educational process، where the demand for it has increased; Because of its ability to increase students’ effectiveness and academic achievement، especially educational videos. This study aimed to demonstrate the impact of using educational videos on raising the achievement of first year secondary school students - the Entrepreneurship and Business Branch in the subject of Management and Economics - at Bani Naim Secondary School for Girls. The experimental method was used to achieve the aim of the study. Due to its accuracy in observing the study population and its suitability to the research tool. The study demonstrated the positive impact of educational videos on the study population (students of entrepreneurship and business at Bani Naim Secondary School for Girls)، as the students’ academic achievement increased and their grades in that subject rose. The researcher recommends that the teacher introduce educational videos into the teaching process، and consider them one of the modern educational methods in the teaching process.

Executive functions: a fresh perspective for entrepreneurship education

PurposeThis paper introduces executive functions (EFs)–i.e. high-level cognitive processes that are elicited in novel and non-routinised situations–into discussions within entrepreneurship education (EE). By reviewing the existing literature, it highlights how EFs are important for the entrepreneur, their role in the entrepreneurial process and implications for improving EE.Design/methodology/approachWe conduct a literature review bridging cognitive psychology, EE and entrepreneurship fields to clarify the role of EFs in the entrepreneurial process. To do so, we define EFs and then propose a model of the entrepreneurial process to frame our review and identify knowledge and gaps in current research.FindingsThis review shows why EFs are valuable for EE and calls for more focus on them to better prepare students for entrepreneurship and general life challenges. The findings underscore the importance of EFs in understanding key aspects of the entrepreneurial process. Although EFs are studied in the entrepreneurship and EE fields, they are rarely conceptualised from a cognitive psychology perspective, with research often focusing on isolated EF components instead of examining them as a whole.Originality/valueThis review is the first to highlight the role of EFs in the entrepreneurial process in a structured way. Integrating cognitive psychology insights on EFs can enrich EE for both venture creation and value creation approaches while also supporting the development of more effective programs. This focus on EFs also provides a fresh perspective and a valuable lens for understanding complex phenomena such as cognition, learning and the factors behind success and failure in entrepreneurship.

FACTORS AFFECTING ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIONS IN STUDENTS: A THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVE OF ENTREPRENEURIAL EDUCATION AND INTENTION

Entrepreneurship has been viewed as a key contributor to generating new jobs and an economic catalyst in a country. It creates a sense of independence and a financially strong mindset among graduates who become self-employed, which contributes to the financial growth of the nation. Research studies in existence explain that entrepreneurial action is based on entrepreneurial intention, which is primarily driven by goal-oriented conduct of an individual. However, the question that still remains unanswered is that what links the transmission of intention into entrepreneurial behavior has not been studied in abundance. Thus, it is imperative to identify those factors that significantly impact the entrepreneurial intention of student entrepreneurs who have attained the minimum post- secondary level of education. This research aims to study the impact of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intentions, which leads to entrepreneurial action. We attempt to examine the factors that affect intention, such as financial, motivational, and psychological, among students. This paper is descriptive in nature, and the data collected is secondary in the form of reviews and suggestions. Entrepreneurial intentions lead to entrepreneurial behavior. Hence, entrepreneurship educationalists will reap benefits from intention based behavioral research in entrepreneurship. The paper concludes with the identification of factors playing a vital role in entrepreneurial actions. The authors provide input for practical implications and directions for future research.

Educational Management Strategies to Promote the Sustainable Development of Entrepreneurship of Students in Higher Vocational Colleges

The This paper aims to explore educational management strategies for promoting the sustainable development of entrepreneurship among students in higher vocational colleges. The research subjects consist of 400 students from 10 higher vocational colleges in Guangdong Province. Based on the data analysis results from a questionnaire survey of these 400 students and interviews with 12 experts, it is concluded that the factors influencing the sustainable development of entrepreneurship among students in higher vocational colleges include entrepreneurship knowledge, entrepreneurship teams, entrepreneurial experience, entrepreneurial capital, and entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, the influencing environmental factors encompass the market environment, educational management environment, policy and legal environment, and family environment. Combining SWOT, PEST, and TOWS matrix analyses, this paper proposes educational management strategies to foster the sustainable development of entrepreneurship among students in higher vocational colleges. These strategies aim to cultivate students' entrepreneurial spirit, provide more entrepreneurial talents to society, and promote the sustainable development of the social economy.

The role of mental accounting and financial attitudes in shaping financial behavior among entrepreneurial students using fintech

This study examines the influence of mental accounting, financial attitudes, financial knowledge, and financial self-efficacy on the financial behavior of diligent students in using fintech. This study differs from previous research because it uses a sample of students who already have a business and often use fintech. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. This study found that financial attitudes and self-efficacy had a significant effect on financial behavior, while financial knowledge had no significant effect on financial self-efficacy and mental accounting. Mental accounting significantly affects financial attitudes, financial behavior, and financial self-efficacy. These findings prove the importance of mental accounting in increasing the confidence and effectiveness of students who often use fintech and have a business in making financial decisions. This research contributes to developing the theory of planned behavior in the context of financial behavior. It reveals that financial literacy does not necessarily increase financial self-efficacy and mental accounting, especially among students who often use fintech and are just starting a business.

Hubungan Mata Pelajaran Projek Kreatif dan Kewirausahaan terhadap Minat Berwirausaha Siswa Jurusan Kuliner di SMKN 33 Jakarta

Based on data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency in February 2023, the number of unemployed in Indonesia reached 7.99 million with the number of unemployed in Indonesia according to vocational school education level being 2.07 million people. This is contrary to the aim of Vocational Schools to increase community participation rates in education. Vocational School graduates should be able to build their own businesses to reduce the number of unemployed in Indonesia and the number of unemployed Vocational School graduates. Based on the title of this research, a suitable research method is an associative quantitative method with survey techniques and descriptive explanation. This research has two variables which are the object of research, where Creative Project Subjects and Entrepreneurship are the independent variables (X) while the dependent variable is Student Entrepreneurial Interest (Y). This research aims to determine the relationship between PKK subjects and interest in entrepreneurship among students majoring in Culinary at SMKN 33 Jakarta. The results of the hypothesis test show that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between the PKK subject and Culinary students' interest in entrepreneurship. The correlation coefficient (r) value shows positive and significant results, the higher the PKK subject score, the higher the interest in entrepreneurship for Culinary students. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the creative and entrepreneurship project subjects in this research show an important role in building the interest and courage of students majoring in culinary arts at SMKN 33 Jakarta to become entrepreneurs, as well as maximizing students' entrepreneurial skills and knowledge.

Exploring Factors Affecting High-School Student Entrepreneurship Competency

Entrepreneurial competencies are increasingly recognized as essential skills for students in today's dynamic and competitive world. This study aims to identify and validate the crucial entrepreneurial competencies of Thai high school students using a 2nd-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). A questionnaire was developed to assess these competencies, administered to a sample of high school technology teachers selected using multi-stage random sampling. The results indicated that technology teachers perceive the development of entrepreneurial competencies as crucial for their students. Specifically, the analysis revealed that entrepreneurial skills, leadership skills, and innovative adaptability were most important. These findings suggest that enhancing these competencies can significantly contribute to students' overall entrepreneurial potential. The research contributes to the understanding of entrepreneurial competencies among high school students and provides a validated framework for assessing these competencies. The study's novelty lies in its validation of essential entrepreneurial competencies specifically tailored for Thai high school students, offering a framework for assessing and nurturing these competencies in an educational context.

The Role of Halal Certification In The Digitalization Of Small And Medium Enterprise Students Of The Social Science Education Department Iain Syekh Nurjati Cirebon

Globalization is characterized by the use of information and communication technology in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 as the basic capital needed by industrial players to develop businesses, including MSMEs in higher education. The problems in this research include: how to halal certification for student MSMEs and how to implement digitalization of small and medium enterprises among students. The halal theory from the World Halal Council (WHC) and halal certification bodies mentions ethical aspects in business so that producers operate honestly, fairly and transparently in line with Islamic principles. In the field of education, Freire's theory focuses on education as the main key to social empowerment because through education, people are able to develop abilities and skills to participate effectively in economic empowerment. Qualitative method research with a phenomenological approach explores halal certification, the development of student MSMEs, the Social Mart application and the implementation of digitalization of MSMEs. Firstly, the researcher observes and analyzes the phenomenon of halal certification with the digital economy which is the research topic, secondly determines the focus of the research based on the results of initial observations and interviews with entrepreneurial students. The three sources of data collected were observations, information from several entrepreneurs and course lecturers. The research results show that halal certification and digitalization of MSMEs have a positive impact on the development of MSMEs. has higher sales figures when compared to MSMEs that have not implemented digitalization because they have higher operational efficiency

PEMANFAATAN TEMPE SEBAGAI KOMODITI LOKAL UNTUK PASAR GLOBAL

Tempeh, one of Indonesia's traditional fermented foods, has great potential to become an international culinary commodity because of its high nutritional content and relevance to healthy and sustainable food trends. However, the main problems faced are the use of tempeh which is only processed into household food, lack of product innovation, and packaging that is not attractive for the global market. Small businesses also face problems with a lack of understanding of good marketing strategies. This community service aims to provide business actors and entrepreneurial students with an understanding of the potential of tempeh as a competitive local commodity in the global market. Hygienic production processes, high-quality fermentation methods, creative packaging and digital marketing techniques are taught to participants in this service. The methods used include technical training, live demonstrations and interactive discussions guided by expert speakers in the field of food technology. Participants are also trained to utilize digital platforms such as marketplaces and social media to expand market reach. The results of the service show that business actors are able to understand the importance of production and packaging standards to meet export requirements. Product innovations, such as crispy tempeh and energy balls, received a positive response as diversification that suits global market tastes. Digital-based marketing strategies also provide opportunities to reach global consumers. By overcoming these challenges, tempeh has great potential to compete in international markets as a superior local product in Indonesia.

Investigating how individual entrepreneurial orientation impacts entrepreneurial intention: The mediating role of positivity and moderating affect of institutional support among university students

ABSTRACT As the global economy evolves, fostering student entrepreneurship has become a pivotal objective for educational institutions and policy makers, particularly in emerging economies like India. Owing to which, this study unravels the multifaceted factors influencing the entrepreneurial intentions (EI) of students by illuminating the role of positivity (POS) as a mediator and institutional support (IS) as a moderator within the relationships. Through employing a validated questionnaire, data were collected from 303 student respondents specializing in management and engineering across India. The hypothesized model was rigorously tested using the partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS–SEM) approach. Results reveal a positive correlation between individual entrepreneurial orientation (Ind.EO) and EI, with POS as a complete mediator in this relationship. Furthermore, IS significantly enhances the impact of POS on EI, intensifying the connection when support is abundant and diminishing it when scarce. This research presents a holistic perspective on the boundary conditions and mechanisms by which personality traits and contextual elements shape students’ EI within the Indian milieu. The pioneering aspect of this study lies in the introduction of POS as a mediating factor and IS as a moderating factor in the Ind.EO–EI and POS–EI relationships, a novel exploration not previously undertaken.

Implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka Through the P5 Program in Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMP Tahfidz Assyifa Al Islami Parung

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation, challenges, and solutions in applying the Kurikulum Merdeka through the P5 program in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The research was conducted at SMP Tahfidz Assyifa Al Islami Parung using a qualitative approach and field research methodology. Data collection techniques included interviews, documentation, and observation, with data validity tested through triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis involved data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka through the P5 program in PAI learning began in the fourth week of July in the 2024 academic year, focusing on entrepreneurship for seventh-grade students and democracy for eighth-grade students. However, challenges were identified, including limited teacher understanding and training regarding the P5 program, insufficient supervision from project coordinators, and inadequate module support, as the materials were primarily downloaded from the internet.

DEVELOPMENT OF INTIATIVE AND ENTRENEURSHIP OF STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF WORKING ON THE STEM-PROJECT IN NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

The formation of abilities and skills is absolutely necessary for personal development of students. Initiative and entrepreneurship are one of the comprehensive life skills not only for entrepreneurs and ordinary citizens, but also for young people. Тhe development of this competence helps to take care of one's own development, helps to realize one's own ideas, increases the competitiveness of an individual in the labor market, actively involves citizens in social life and increases their well-being.To date, there is no established definition of entrepreneurship of students, just as there are no clearly defined conditions for the development of initiative and entrepreneurship and criteria for evaluating the level of formation of this competence. The tasks of the research were the following: analysis of educational products of students, which are the results of work on STEM projects; substantiation of the effective criterion of formation of initiative and entrepreneurship among students as a key competence of the concept of New Ukrainian School. The publication demonstrates that the creative activity of students in the pursuit of creating educational products during the implementation of a STEM project is an effective criterion for the formation of such competence as initiative and entrepreneurship. Objective assessment of the quality of created products is determined by external experts during the STEM-project approbation in creative competitions of various levels (from regional to international). Examples of such competitions can be the following: Ukrainian competition for inventive and rationalizing projects in the ecological and naturalistic direction, Ukrainian competition for youth energy-saving projects "Energy and Environment", Ukrainian scientific and technical competition "Eco-Techno Ukraine", Ukrainian competition for the defense of students' scientific and research works – members of the National Academy of Sciences, the Ukrainian project "Energy Conservation and Ecology for Schoolchildren", the annual school conference "Khortytsia Readings", the regional competition of artistic and technical creativity "TechnoEcoStyle".

Mentoring-Based Coaching to Form Innovative and Independent Student Entrepreneurship

Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (UMRI), one of the campuses that supports development programs, has carried out planning and coaching students to become entrepreneurs. This can be seen from the level of participation and success of UMRI students in several student competitions, such as PKM-Entrepreneurship, P2MW, and Entrepreneurship Award. However, after the competition, many student businesses closed due to inadequate business management, equipment, and other factors. Therefore, this coaching program was carried out. The methods used are socialization, selection, provision, increasing tenant capacity (entrepreneurship training and internships), providing science and technology as well as business capital, mentoring, and evaluation monitoring. As a result of this activity, there are 20 student tenants who partner with 10 types of products. There has been an increase in tenant capacity with training, onboarding (internships), mentoring, and application of science and technology, as well as capital provided. It is hoped that this increase in tenant capacity will also improve their business skills so that their business can run well.

Unleashing Entrepreneurial Potential: How Non-Economics Students Dive into the World of Business

In overcoming the complexity of the global world of work, non-economics students need to increase their interest and involvement in entrepreneurial activities to reduce the unemployment rate in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the interest and participation of Non-Economics Students in entrepreneurship. This literature review uses secondary data, especially referring to articles related to the research focus. The research focuses on entrepreneurship among non-economic study program students. The research results show that non-economic students' interest in entrepreneurship is still low. Negative views, lack of knowledge, and minimal environmental support hamper their involvement in entrepreneurial activities. Factors influencing interest and involvement involve family environment, entrepreneurial education, self-confidence, and institutional support. Efforts are needed to increase non-economic students' interest in entrepreneurship. Improvements in curriculum approaches and educational environments are required to increase their involvement in entrepreneurial activities. Focusing on key factors can be the basis for improving educational policies and programs to encourage the participation of non-economic students in the world of entrepreneurship. This study highlights the critical gap in entrepreneurial interest and participation among non-economics students in Indonesia. Furthermore, the study offers valuable insights into the specific factors that influence non-economics students' involvement in entrepreneurship.
