Developing Compliant Audit Information System for Information Security Index: A Study on Enhancing Institutional and Organizational Audits using Web-based Technology and ISO 25010:2011 Total Quality of Use Evaluation

This study aimed to develop the KAMI 4.1 Index system application based on web application technology to provide a platform for controlled audit implementation and improve data management. The primary goals were to independently assess organizations' ability to obtain ISO 27001:2013 and enhance the audit process's effectiveness and efficiency. The research utilized web application technologies as materials. It employed a systematic approach, focusing on developing a web-based application using the waterfall model's stages of communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. The resulting KAMI 4.1 Index system application introduced a new and efficient platform for controlled audit implementation, featuring an improved user experience and enhanced ease of use by incorporating existing audit calculations from the KAMI 4.1 index. Evaluation based on the ISO 25010:2011 quality of use model yielded a high total quality of use rate of 81.45%, indicating a "very good" categorization. However, areas requiring further research and improvement were identified, including data security, content coverage, freedom from risk, and error tracking. The study also suggested exploring integration possibilities of the audit system with other ISO audit needs, such as a quality assurance system complying with ISO 9001. Further research is necessary to gather information about user criteria and needs in different organizational contexts, ensuring the audit application system meets their requirements. Overall, this research contributes to developing the KAMI 4.1 Index system application and highlights directions for further enhancement and exploration in controlled audit implementation and data management.

SISTEM MONITORING SKRIPSI BERBASIS PROGESSIVE WEB APPLICATION DENGAN PUSH NOTIFICATION

The Covid-19 pandemic requires thesis guidance activities to be carried out online. If the tertiary institution does not have a proper thesis monitoring system, the guidance process will not run smoothly and on time. This study aims to create a thesis monitoring system using Progressive Web Application (PWA) technology with a software development method using mobile-D. The development stage begins with the construction of a system architecture in the form of use cases and activity diagrams. Then the initialize stage is translating the system architecture design into an application interface design. Next is the stage of translating the design into an actual application using lumens and mariaDB on the server side and javascript and indexedDB on the client side. After each module is completed, the system functionality modules are integrated into a whole application into a thesis monitoring system. Then the software functionality testing is carried out, especially when it is run on a smartphone. The test results indicate that there are no bugs or errors found when running on laptop or mobile devices

Roles of the Web in Commercial Energy Efficiency: IoT, Cloud Computing, and Opinion Mining

The overconsumption of energy in recent times has motivated many studies. Some of these explore the application of web technologies and machine learning models, aiming to increase energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint. This paper aims to review three areas that overlap between the web and energy usage in the commercial sector: IoT (Internet of Things), cloud computing and opinion mining. The paper elaborates on problems in terms of their causes, influences, and potential solutions, as found in multiple studies across these areas; and intends to identify potential gaps with the scope for further research. In the rapidly digitizing and automated world, these three areas can offer much contribution towards reducing energy consumption and making the commercial sector more energy efficient. IoT and smart manufacturing can assist much in effective production, and more efficient technologies as per energy usage. Cloud computing, with reference to its impact on green IT (information technology), is a major area that contributes towards the mitigation of carbon footprint and the reduction of costs on energy consumption. Opinion mining is significant as per the part it plays in understanding the feelings, requirements and demands of the consumers of energy as well as the related stakeholders, so as to help create more suitable policies and hence navigate towards more energy efficient strategies. This paper offers comprehensive analyses on the literature in the concerned areas to fathom the current status and explore future possibilities of research across these areas and the related multidisciplinary avenues.

Performance Comparison of Response Time Native, Mobile and Progressive Web Application Technology

The development of technology in web-based applications is growing, this creates new problems. The web technology that is currently being discussed is Progressive Web Application (PWA) but is the PWA's performance better than the previous technology. This research is about measuring the performance of the Native Web, Mobile Web and PWA using three testing tools, namely GTMetrix, Lighthouse, and Chrome DevTool. The results of this study show how to measure the performance of a Progressive Web Application (PWA), where PWA can beat the performance of Native Web and Mobile Web if a web page is tested more than once. Test results on the Progressive Web Application (PWA), the minimum number of page files (home) is 217 kB with page loading time of 638 ms, while the medium page (about) is 431 kB with page loading time of 646 ms, and when accessing heavy pages (news) with a size of 41700 kB the page load time is 532 ms.

Developing a Digital History Project for Newport, Rhode Island: A Case Study of a Multimedia Tour and Place-Based Audio Storytelling

Abstract This case study explores the author’s use of techniques and processes associated with the digital humanities to research, create, and present a digital history project in Newport, Rhode Island. This is done by detailing and critically reflecting on the process of developing a multimedia tour and podcast episode based on the author’s original published research that investigated the role of music and social dancing during Newport’s emergence as a world-class resort in the Nineteenth Century. The multimedia tour featured in this case study makes use of digital location-based web and mobile application technologies to deliver a text and image-driven narrative with sonic enhancements augmenting the history. The podcast episode features place-based audio storytelling techniques which also enrich the understanding and potential reach of the subject. The multimedia tour and podcast episode in conjunction with the author’s original published research all work collectively to preserve Newport’s summer culture history. Some lessons learned include recognizing the advantages of utilizing established platforms, collaborating with experts, and embracing system constraints to optimize narrative focus.

Therefore, it requires fast, reliable, attractive development and powerful applications. One of them is a product from Google, namely google sheets. The results of the data can be presented in full either in the form of sheets or graphic information, so that managers or admins do not need to process anymore and later will be able to be monitored on a web-based app system that uses Progressive Web Application (PWA) technology. In the development of information needs, it turns out that information needs have become very complex both online and offline, even today's technology can combine the transaction process on the local information system synchronized to the information system and or online data. The implementation of Progressive Web Application (PWA) makes it possible to distribute information more easily. The results of this research obtained modeling, designing and implementing local applications with data synchronized to google sheet media, data on google sheets will be accessed by different applications online using Progressive Web Application (PWA). it is also proven that with the implementation of Progressive Web Application (PWA), data after being uploaded and cached can still be accessed even if the internet communication line is interrupted. Because the application will always read the cache that has contained data as long as it is not synchronized data.

Audio to Indian Sign Language Translator

Abstract: This project's primary purpose is to bridge the gap between deaf and hearing persons, which will benefit those with hearing impairments who employ a simple and effective way of sign language. Sign language is a visual language used by the deaf community. It employs body language, hand gestures, and facial expressions. Indian Sign Language is one of the most significant and commonly utilised modes of communication for individuals with speech and hearing difficulties. This web application facilitates communication for deaf and speech-impaired individuals. The primary focus of these new web application and natural language processing technologies is the conversion of spoken or written language into sign language. In this web application, users can record their speech using a microphone or text as input utilising NLP-based speech recognition. If the video is missing from the database, the word is spit out and the associated video is displayed. This technique has made communicating with deaf individuals simple and practical. Development of an Electronic Secure Students’ Industrial Works Experience Scheme Placement System

This research developed a secured student industrial work experience scheme (SIWES) placement system to take care of the security challenges of the existing automated systems. There are attempts by researchers to ameliorate the challenges associated with the scheme by developing various systems. However, the developed systems are subjected to security vulnerabilities. This research, in an attempt to avert the security challenges associated with the existing automated systems, designed a new scheme which includes security architectures in the kernel and application layers. This new system was able to achieve two important tasks; first, the system automation and second, the inclusion of security architectures to cubs the application’s vulnerabilities. The present process involves students manually seeking placement to undergo the program, and due to this, students end up applying at organizations that are not relevant to what they are studying. Despite the fact there are no much existing systems that digitally caters for this component of the scheme, the available existing systems are subjected to security vulnerability. Therefore, leveraging on secure web application technologies using Unified Modelling Languages for design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP for its implementation and user privilege and password hash to ensure its security, this project developed a secure solution to this pertinent challenge. The system is tested using unit testing component of each design, integration testing and general system testing. The implementation shows the system works according to the design, by ensuring all units of the development perform necessary functions of data storage, data retrieval, error alerting, and interface/server appropriate communication. In addition, the security architecture, design and implementation of the system’s design are better than the existing ones.

The Quality of Corporate Website and its Relationship with Reputation Formation

The study aimed to investigate the impact of website quality & its Relationship with the corporate reputation forming &management; applied on DAL - Sudan by studying the corporate website users, using the descriptive analytical approach for collecting and analyzing data. The study community was (656257) users of DAL corporate website, and the study sample consisted of (400) users were taken and selected in a simple random manner to represent different age groups, gender and educational levels; by questionnaire checked with Alpha Cranach's formula for validity& reliability. The results showed that there was an effect of website quality with its dimensions (easy access & use, quality & adequacy of information, simplicity & attractiveness of design)on forming &management the corporate reputation among the website's users & followers, and there is a relationship between the interaction of website admins with users' comments & the amount of time users spend on the website, the study found that interest in users' comments contributes to their increased stay on the website and their interaction with its electronic content, in addition to its relationship with reputation forming and management. The study recommended a greater focus on the intensive application of web technologies on the website, to meet the needs and desires of users, and attention to periodic user surveys to determine the corporate status and satisfaction scores, and use it as a tool to manage and measure the corporate reputation, as the website can measure reputation electronically through users' feedback and interaction with the website content.

Implementasi Extreme Programming (XP) Agile Software Development pada Pengembangan Sistem Informasi KELUARGAKU

The Pusat Pelayanan Keluarga Sejahtera (PUSYANRA) Lancang Kuning, is a service unit established by the Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) Representative of Riau Province. PUSYANRA has several main tasks as consultants and educates families in Indonesia to become prosperous families. So far, the activities of PUSYANRA Lancang Kuning run randomly and are documented manually, so there are several problems in monitoring activities, displaying activities publicly and compiling annual and monthly reports. One of the things that can be done to optimize these needs is to develop a web-based information system. The information system can be a place to display information as well as a media to educate the public according to the needs of PUSYANRA Lancang Kuning to maximize information and education in implementing PUSYANRA's work program. In addition, regarding reports, activity management and others, web application technology can help administrators to make it easier to carry out their duties. Another problem is the use of this Information System is needed in a fairly short time, because community services continue to run all the time. For the concept of software development with Agile method is a suitable method applied in this case. Based on the development process that has been carried out, this research shows that the Agile Software Development concept can be used properly. As well as the benefits of the Information System can be felt well by all users, so that the KELUARGAKU Information System can help PUSYANRA Lancang Kuning in carrying out its work program better.

Wireless Enterprise Resource Planning System for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises

The financial progress of India’s industries is majorly dominated by MSMEs (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises). The traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is becoming steeped in the period. In recent years, the booming advancement in information technology, artificial intelligence, and communication technology has a huge impact on our lives. The advancement in the field of computing has taken a place in the global market. ERPs using Perceptual Computing will be eluding have a wave of innovative applications, perceptual computing uses natural language interfaces. The concept is to have a voice recognition system in the ERPs systems to ease the work load by generating the quotations, invoices, purchase orders, sales report and other kind of business reports as well as updating the catalogues via voice. Traditional ERP has a bit more complicated to use by the higher authorities of the organization due to less user-friendly environment of the ERP, it will be also user friendly and it will be easy to analyze the market on the terms of sales. Similarly, the reports would be generated from the data stored. This would help the non-savvy personnel such as the owner and such kind of higher authority persons to use and understand the ERP system so that the business will be on tracked continuously. This article takes an example of the retail sales industry, using various web technologies for web applications on the ERP system, which can achieve the purpose of the process to enhance the convenience of a higher level of the management team.

ВИКОРИСТАННЯ КОМПІЛЯТИВНИХ ВЕБ-КВЕСТІВ У РОЗВИТКУ УСНОГО МОНОЛОГІЧНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ СТУДЕНТІВ НЕМОВНИХ ЗВО

Teaching oral monological speech to students of non-language higher educational institutions has always been a point of professional interest of methodologists as a complicated practical task. In the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic its implementation has become complicated due to impossibility of immediate interaction between academics and students. Thus, a prerequisite for raising the effectiveness of instruction is the expedient application of web-technologies. WebQuests are defined as an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. WebQuests are projects that raise students' motivation, develop their critical and creative thinking, as well as communicative and social skills. In their turn, compilation WebQuests are defined as tasks where students are supposed to take information from a number of sources and put it into a common format (like: a cookbook, a booklet of an exhibition etc.). The resulted texts are creative products that can be presented orally or in written form. Besides, while doing Compilation WebQuests students are supposed to read or listen to information which makes them a universal method and means of developing communicative skills. The methodological prerequisites of developing students' oral monological skills by means of Compilation WebQuests include: the choice of the methodological approach, the instructional stages, exercises and aids. The current research employs the inductive approach of teaching oral monological speech and, consequently, 3 stages that it involves: the stage of creating short utterances on the topic, the stage of their expansion by means of verbal and non-verbal aids, and the stage of their independent creation. The aids that can be used include: texts, outlines, substitution tables, structural schemes, role-cards, key-cards, proverbs and sayings, functional models and cards, audios and videos, illustrations (photos, posters and caricatures), functional noises etc. The article suggests assignments structured according to the stages described above and including the aids mentioned, that can make up the basis of a Compilation WebQuest's Process and Resources section.

Is there alignment amongst scientific literature, news media and patient forums regarding topics?: A study of breast and lung cancer

PurposeDuring recent years, web technologies and mass media have become prevalent in the context of medicine and health. Two examples of important web technologies used in health are news media and patient forums. Both have a significant role in shaping patients' perspective and behaviour in relation to health and illness, as well as the way that they might choose or change their treatment. In this paper, the authors investigated the application of web technologies using the data analysis approach. The authors did this analysis from the point of view of topics being discussed and disseminated via patients and journalists in breast and lung cancer. The study also investigated the (dis)alignment amongst these two groups and scientists in terms of topics.Design/methodology/approachThree data sets comprised documents published between 2014 and 2018 obtained from ProQuest and Web of Science Medline databases, alongside data from three major patient forums on breast and lung cancer. The analysis and visualisation in this paper have been done using the udpipe, igraph R packages and VOSviewer.FindingsThe study’s findings showed that in general scientists focussed more on prognosis and treatment of cancer, whereas patients and journalists focussed more on detection, prevention and role of social and emotional support. The only exception was for news coverage of lung cancer where the largest cluster was related to treatment, research in cancer treatment and therapies. However, when comparing coverage by scientists and journalists in terms of treatment, the focus of news articles in both cancer types was mainly on chemotherapy and complimentary therapies. Finally, topics such as lifestyle or pain management were only discussed by breast cancer patients.Originality/valueThe results obtained from this study may provide valuable insights into topics of interest for each group of scientists, journalist and patients as well as (dis)alignment among them in terms of topics. These findings are important as scientific research is heavily dependent on communication, and research does not exist in a bubble. Bridging the Distance via Web Technologies: Review of Possibilities for Informal Language Learning for Lifelong

In today's new economy characterized by globalisation, learning is shifting from teacher-centered to learner-centered and is undertaken in a flexible and personalized way. In view of the importance and ubiquity of Web technologies, this study was undertaken to examine the level of perceived proficiency in terms of knowledge/skills of using these technologies. In addition, this study was conducted to identify the amazing possibilities for Web technologies and related research that can facilitate the learner-users to see and act upon certain aspects of these technologies for informal lifelong language learning development. Primary data in this study were obtained from an on-line self-reported questionnaire survey. A total of 400 university students involved in informal English as a Second Language (ESL) learning at three public universities in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia were selected randomly as the study sample. A descriptive analysis was chosen for the current study. The study found that university students have high levels of both, perceived competencies, and perceived potential benefits of Web applications for helping their language English over an entire lifetime. The application of Web technology is very important in the self-learning process because it catalyzes powerful learning for a lifetime. When learners utilise various Web resources, they satisfy their motivational needs if they feel enjoyment and therefore push behaviour in certain directions towards effective continuing informal learning.

Information system for assessing maturity level of an organization

Introduction. The paper considers problems of creating information support for solving the task of assessing the maturity level of an organization. It is proposed to use intelligent information systems, i.e. expert systems. Substantive aspects of various stages of creating such systems are briefly described; the expert system architecture, which is based on using a fuzzy expert knowledge base, is given. The work objective was to create new software to solve the problem of assessing the maturity level of an organization. Materials and Methods. Previously performed modeling of the subject domain under consideration allowed us to create a knowledge base in the form of production memory, which is the basis of the fuzzy inference mechanism. The software is written in PHP and is suitable for embedding in complex web applications. The software system is a web application written primarily in PHP and JavaScript. The software works in all modern web browsers, which accelerates significantly the implementation and deployment based on both the parent-enterprise and its subsidiaries. Results. New software has been created to automate the processing of questionnaires during the organization’s selfassessment based on key indicators, as well as considering 6 main groups of the quality management system indicators. Application of the program will significantly speed up the process of input and processing of expert information required for self-assessment. The program provides organizations to get an adequate idea of the opportunities and prospects for improving the organization’s quality management system. Some fragments of the software system interface are given. Discussion and Conclusions. The proposed software can be used to determine the level of maturity of an organization. The application of Web-technologies improves usability, reduces software support costs. The software can be both deployed in the existing network infrastructure of a customer and used by all the functionality through connecting to a remote server. The software is optimized for various screen resolutions, which allows you to use it not only at the central office, but also when analyzing the quality management system of corporate customers. The traffic generated by the web application is optimized for working with mobile devices with a low-speed Internet connection. Application of the program will significantly reduce the time for users to enter and process expert information required for the problem solving and to eliminate duplication of information.

Academic Information System is a means of supporting academic activities in STMIK HangTuah Pekanbaru by utilizing web-based technology. However, the application of webtechnology on Academic information System in STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru can notalways run as desired, sometimes the information system cannot be accessed due to technicalconstraints or other factors. Based on these problems, an application was created that couldrun on instant messages and could be used via smartphones or other devices as mediainformation for students, namely utilization of telegram bot based on PHP and MySQL asacademic information at STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru. This telegram bot is made using theWebhook method and can run on all operating systems that have Telegram Messengerinstalled. This bot is able to provide academic information including lecture schedules, grades,filling in krs, short semester submissions and research submissions, it is hoped that thetelegram bot will make it easier for students to get academic information through smartphonedevices that can be accessed anytime.
