In the quest for quality improvement in higher education, student engagement in the classroom as a core element in evaluating the effectiveness of education has become increasingly important. In particular, the precise measurement and analysis of students' engagement in learning behaviors in the classroom have become a key area for combining learning engagement research with teaching practice in higher education institutions. This study focuses on the use of computer video parsing technology to detect the learning engagement of students in secondary vocational schools in Jiangsu Province (secondary students) and its application. The study analyses the video data generated by secondary students in the learning process, and extracts key information with the help of advanced computer video parsing algorithms, to accurately quantify students' learning engagement. The results of the study show that this technology can effectively monitor the learning engagement of secondary vocational school students, and provide an effective aid for teaching improvement and personalized learning guidance.
