Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Inovasi Pembuatan Sabun Padat Bajakah Tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) pada Masyarakat Kampung Ketupat Samarinda

Bajakah tampala is a plant native to Kalimantan that can be found in forests in the interior of Kalimantan. The use of Bajakah Tampala wood is not widely known by most people. One of the uses of Bajakah Tampala wood is that it can be used as an economically valuable product. This community service takes the form of an empowerment program for PKK and Dasawisma women to provide training in making bajakah solid soap. However, before that, education or outreach was carried out regarding solid soap. Of all participants, 22.2% answered that they knew the process of making solid soap, 44.4% knew about solid soap which has a steel composition, and 20% had an understanding of making solid soap. The results of community service activities showed an increase in the total understanding of participants to 100% answered that they knew the process of making solid soap, 100% answered that they knew about solid soap which has a steel composition, and 100% answered that they understood the process of making solid soap. This activity concludes that all participants can better understand the process of making solid soap products and can feel the benefits of Bajakah solid soap.

Sustainability strategy: Strengthening SDGs desa through CSR communication program

Purpose: This study aims to examine the sustainability strategy of Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Cirebon West Java in implementing the sustainability commitment of Heidelbergcement Group 2030 (SC2030) which contains long-term commitments and targets of the group including the company until 2030. Research Methodology: This study used a qualitative case study approach. As a research instrument, I played an active role in collecting data through direct interaction with informants to conduct interviews and observations and analyze available documents. The object of research or social situations in this study focuses on the activities of people in a particular place. Results: The findings obtained from this study are that community empowerment programs implemented sustainably through Bilikom CSR are key elements in building national economic resilience. Through Bilikom's CSR, companies can achieve development goals at the village level. However, in practice, sustainability strategies become good neighbors through Bilikom's CSR programs, with occasional misperceptions in designing and implementing programs that have been prepared together. Limitations: The limitations of this study include social, environmental, and economic aspects. Contributions: This research is expected to contribute to the development of a new science. This research is also very useful for the government in developing and managing an ideal communication system to implement community empowerment programs Novelty: The novelty of this study is that strengthening SDGs in villages can create a positive impact in reducing economic inequality, improving the quality of life of the community, and supporting sustainable natural resource management.

Pendampingan Penyusunan Asesmen Diagnostik pada Sekolah Dasar di Kota Samarinda

The Mobilizing Organization Program is a community empowerment program through government support to improve the competence of teachers and school principals as evidenced by increased student learning outcomes. This program was attended by 127 community organizations from all over Indonesia as partners of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, which was appointed as the implementer of this program, and one of them was the Yayasan Kasih Sejati Kalimantan. The activity period for this program starts from February – June 2023. The targets of this activity are school principals and elementary school teachers in the city of Samarinda, totaling 20 schools. This activity aims to provide understanding to teachers and school principals about diagnostic assessments which are part of independent curriculum learning. The implementation of this activity is divided into three stages, namely preparation, training implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The material provided in this activity includes cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, stages of diagnostic assessments, time to carry out diagnostic assessments, and examples of cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments. Apart from preparing a diagnostic assessment, participants are also required to complete a worksheet prepared by the resource person during the training. In general, participants' perceptions of the assistance activities in preparing diagnostic assessments gave a very good response. Participants can also implement the preparation of diagnostic assessments in their respective schools, this is based on the results of monitoring and evaluation.

Socio-Biodiversity Integrative of an Indonesian Oil and Gas Distribution Area as Sustainability-Driven Implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility

Indonesia, a country rich in natural and human resources, has significant potential for inclusive and sustainable development. The implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs is a key strategy for oil and gas companies to promote community development through sustainable social-biodiversity initiatives. The regulation of CSR programs under Law No. 40 of 2007, or the Social and Environmental Responsibility Law (TJSL), provides the foundation for companies to commit to socio-biodiversity principles in their CSR efforts. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga FT Lomanis, an oil and gas extraction company, has implemented its CSR commitments in accordance with the TJSL Law, using the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a reference for sustainable CSR programs. The methodology of this study includes reporting on community empowerment activities and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data collected during the program's implementation. The findings highlight PT Pertamina Patra Niaga FT Lomanis's commitment to implementing social programs in 2022-2023, including the environmental and social impacts achieved. The overall programs are analyzed in a matrix alignment with the SDGs through the Metadata Development Pillar of Bappenas in the RPJMN 2020-2024. In summary, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga FT Lomanis conducted the Emas Komang program (a community empowerment program based on mangrove ecosystem management) which resulted in social impacts such as increased income for SMEs processing mangroves and the sale of mangrove seedlings, ranging from 4-8 million Rupiah and 12-25 million Rupiah, respectively. Additionally, the program had environmental impacts, including increased mangrove density. The socio-biodiversity CSR program through Emas Komang contributed to the achievement of SDGs points 2, point 8, and point 15, reflecting sustainability goals for 2022-2023.

BULUREJO-BANYUWANGI VILLAGE FUND POSTULATE AS SUPPORTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EMPOWERING PRE-PROSPEROUS COMMUNITIES

The existence of Village Funds is useful for improving public services, alleviating poverty, advancing the village economy, overcoming development gaps, and strengthening village communities as subjects of development. This research aims to determine, describe and analyze the use of Village Funds for empowerment programs for underprivileged communities in Bulurejo Village. Based on the analysis of research findings, the empowerment program supported by the Village Fund directly and indirectly provides stimulus to improve the economy. Recommendations for the use of Village Funds for empowerment programs for underprivileged communities focus on aspects of empowerment problems, identification of community responses, selection of empowerment policy options, and implementation of the use of Village Funds.

Application of Geographic Information System (GIS) Technology to Formulate Unused Spring Water Optimization Strategy

Background: This article presents the findings of a comprehensive community empowerment program that focused on the application of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology for the optimization strategy formulation of unused spring water. Contribution: The contribution of this program address the challenge for better utilization of unused spring water and promote sustainable water management practices. Method: The study employed GIS technology to identify and map unused springs, followed by hydrological analysis and water quality assessment to inform the development of optimization strategies. Results: This program suggested infrastructure development, water conservation measures, and distribution network design to enhance water availability. Conclusion: The findings show that GIS approach is suitable for further applications in other Indonesian mountainous villages with similarly shared community traits. However, further some locality aspects, including, but not limited to community leadership and economic power, need to be assessed further, as they play significant influences on the success of the program

Youth Migration and its Resultant Effect on Small-Scale Fish Farming in Southwest Nigeria

The study aimed at assessing the effects of rural youths’ migration pattern on small-scale fish farming in southwest Nigeria. Primary data were obtained from 440 fish farmers with the aid of a well-structured questionnaire, using multi-stage random sampling technique. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics and likert scale rating techniques. The results showed that majority of the fishers were married males with mean age, household size and fishing experience of 44 years, 6 persons and 14 years respectively. It was further revealed that scarce employment opportunities (89.1%), flood/drought (85.7%), poverty (79.8%) and insurgency/displacement (75.5%) were the major push factors triggering rural youth’s migration in the study area while attractive wages/high income (98.0%), diverse employment opportunities (90.2%), alternative source of income during off season (86.1%) and availability of improved technologies (70.7%) were the major pull triggering youths’ migration in the study area. Thus, provision of loan to fishers at flexible interest rate, availability of improved fishing equipment, establishment of vocational training centres, integrating rural youth into empowerment programmes and provision of improved fishing methods to attract youth were the main strategies that could be used to checkmate rural youth migration in the study area. It was therefore recommended that Bank of Agriculture should be encourage to give out minimal loan interest rate to fishers at flexible repayment plans, empowerment/skills acquisition/entrepreneurship programmes should be established.

Creative and Innovative Learning Through Environmental Empowerment, Gajah Wong Clean River Program

Kali Gajah Wong is a river located in Kampung Giwangan, Yogyakarta, which was previously known as a slum area. Through a community empowerment program initiated by the Mrican Youth community, Kali Gajah Wong has transformed into a tourist village. This article discusses the application of creative and innovative learning in the environmental empowerment of Kampung Kali Gajah Wong. The research employs a literature study method by examining research articles related to the community empowerment of Kali Gajah Wong. The results show that creative and innovative learning has been implemented through various training programs for local residents, such as waste management, processed fish products, and so on. These activities aim to enhance the skills and productivity of the residents while creating distinctive village products as branding for the Kali Gajah Wong tourist village. It can be concluded that creative and innovative learning is highly applicable in real community empowerment through direct observation of its benefits.

The implementation of this activity involves TPQ students, this is intended for character building for the children of Soko Hamlet students to create a sense of care, responsibility and love for the environment. So that to create the formation of student character related to a sense of care, responsibility and love for the environment, an understanding is needed by providing education through a learning process that is manifested in a short learning design (RPP) about plants or environmental components and planting practices and awareness of the importance of preserving the environment. The Effectiveness of Fisherman Community Empowerment Programs Through Fisheries Actor Business Cards

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Fisherman Community Empowerment Program through Fisheries Actor Business Cards in Landolia Village, Ranteangin District, North Kolaka Regency. This type of research was conducted with qualitative research methods, data collected from primary data and secondary data. Primary data sourced from interviews with informants totaling 11 people and from observations. As for secondary data by collecting data through literature studies and other supporting literature. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis using data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions put forward by Miles and Hubberman. Based on the results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of the Fisher Community Empowerment Program through the Fisheries Actor Business Card (KUSUKA) Landolia Village, Ranteangin District, North Kolaka Regency through 4 indicators to measure the effectiveness of the program, namely: 1) the accuracy of the program targets, the effectiveness of the Fisherman Community Empowerment Program through the Kusuka Card in the village. Landolia, Ranteangin District, North Kolaka Regency has not been effective because the target accuracy indicator has not been effective because the target achievement is less than all program targets, 2) Program socialization on program socialization indicators in the fishermen community empowerment program through Kusuka is still not effective because of the low interest of the community to participate in socialization. 3) program objectives, with the Kusuka program for fishermen groups in Landolia Village, it is said to be quite effective because it really helps the community in meeting their daily needs. 4) Program Monitoring Based on the explanation above, the authors conducted further searches and saw data on the members of the fishing group who received the assistance provided through the Kusuka program, which is still not considered effective because not all members of the fishermen use the assistance programs properly.

Exploring the Implementation of Entrepreneurial Values to the Young Farmers in West Java

Objectives: The objective of this research is to study and explore the implementation of entrepreneurial values among young farmers in West Java and its relationship with empowerment programs, capital structure, self-reliance, and innovation in agriculture. Methodology: A sample of 103 young farmers from various districts in West Java participated in the study. Quantitative analysis, including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and path analysis using Smart PLS, was conducted to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial values, self-reliance in agriculture, and innovation in agriculture. Finding: The findings show that young farmers in West Java exhibit moderate levels of entrepreneurial values, with particular emphasis on initiative and creativity. In addition, the analysis shows a positive correlation between entrepreneurial values and empowerment programs, capital structure, self-reliance in agriculture, and innovation in agriculture. The analysis further confirmed that entrepreneurial values are significantly predicted by empowerment programs, capital structure, innovation, and self-reliance in agriculture among young farmers. This study also shows that self-reliance could directly predict entrepreneurial values without capital structure as an intervening variable. These findings highlight the importance of fostering entrepreneurial values among young farmers through empowerment program intervention, providing access to capital structure, promoting agricultural innovation, and encouraging their self-reliance. Policymakers and stakeholders in agriculture should focus on providing training programs and support mechanisms that can foster an entrepreneurial mindset and skills among young farmers in West Java.Conclusion: The need to promote entrepreneurial values among young West Java farmers by boosting empowerment programs, self-reliance, and agricultural innovation with the support of capital structure access. The agricultural sector may become more robust, flexible, and sustainable, boosting regional growth and wealth. Further research should examine how entrepreneurial ideals affect self-reliance and creativity in agriculture and how young farmers might adopt them.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT THROUGH WASTE RECYCLING AS AN IMPLEMENTATION OF GREEN ECONOMY AT CV. WITAMA PLASTINDO

The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of women's empowerment through waste recycling as a form of the implementation of going green economy in Ponorogo. The waste problem has become a universal phenomenon in various parts of the world. Empowering women through waste recycling is an effort to improve the community's economy, especially women. The research method here is field research with a qualitative approach. In obtaining information, researchers use primary data sources as well as secondary data sources. Primary data is obtained from interviews, Observation, and documentation, while secondary data is obtained from books, articles, and journals that support it. Interviews in this study were conducted with woven bag business owners, as well as women who participated in empowerment programs. The results showed that the process of empowering women through waste recycling went quite well. The women were given training and also assistance on how to make woven bags. In the implementation of this empowerment carried out by CV Witama Plastindo which was then facilitated by the industry and social services. The targets here are women who work as farmers. The impact of the implementation of this empowerment is that they in terms of income have increased even though they are still far from the UMR.

The Role of Cepagan Village Weaving in the Development of the Creative Economy in Warungasem District

This study examines the role of Cepagan Village weaving in the development of the creative economy in Warungasem District, Batang Regency, Central Java. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, this study explores the economic and social contributions of the weaving industry, the challenges faced, and development strategies in the context of the creative economy. The results of the study show that Cepagan weaving plays an important role in cultural heritage preservation, product innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. This industry has a significant impact on job creation, increasing regional income, and economic multiplier effects. However, challenges such as competition with modern products, regeneration of artisans, and limited market access need to be overcome. Development opportunities through digitalization, ecotourism, and collaboration with the fashion industry open up new prospects for the sustainability of the weaving industry. This research provides valuable insights into the integration of traditional crafts into the modern creative economy and can be a reference for the development of local wisdom-based community empowerment policies and programs.

Empowering economic independence: POKDAKAN modernization and market integration in Tanjung Rhu Village, Pekanbaru City

The "Mina Sari Jaya" Fish Cultivation Group (POKDAKAN) in Tanjung Rhu Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City, is undergoing an economic empowerment program aiming for group financial independence within RT 05 RW 06. This initiative combines legal and fisheries expertise to create a comprehensive community economic development strategy. The program offers training in digital marketing, fisheries business management, and legal aspects of running a business. As a result, the group has successfully developed and packaged processed catfish products like snacks and nuggets in standardized, attractive packaging, increasing market appeal. Additionally, these products are now available on online marketplaces like Shopee and Tiktok Shop, generating potential income for POKDAKAN members. Furthermore, the program facilitated the establishment of a formalized business entity for the farmer group, complete with a notarial deed and a deed of establishment.

Patterns of Community Empowerment through Fishermen’s Groups in Improving the Economy on the Pasaran Island of Bandar Lampung

This research is motivated by an interest in the economic empowerment program implemented by the Pasaran Island Fishermen Group, Kota Karang Village, Bandar Lampung City. The purpose of this research is to find out how the pattern of community empowerment through fishermen groups in improving the economy on Pasaran Island, Bandar Lampung. This research uses qualitative methods, namely data obtained by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in an effort to develop the economy of fishermen on Pasaran Island, several strategies are used which include education and training patterns, counseling and mentoring patterns, and fisheries business partnership patterns, with the main strategy emphasized is the provision of assistance from the government for fishermen. Empowerment through fishing groups is able to respond to local conditions because what they do gives very positive results and is able to improve the economy of the community on Pasaran Island.

Independent Community Empowerment Program to Address Non-Communicable Disease Problems in Coastal Areas of Pekanbaru City

The purpose of this community service is to make efforts to prevent the spread of non-communicable diseases. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to conduct early detection (screening) of health, how to increase the knowledge and ability of the Sri Meranti Village Community in overcoming non-communicable disease health problems, and how to empower the community in overcoming and preventing NCD problems that occur at home or in the neighborhood. The research method used is the prevention method by providing education related to what non-communicable diseases are and how to prevent them. The results obtained were an increase in community knowledge related to non-communicable diseases worth 31.41. It is hoped that this program, which has shown success, can be continued so that the number of non-communicable diseases can decrease in the community.

Entrepreneurship-Based Model of Pesantren Economic Empowerment at Pesantren NW Al-Rahman, West Lombok

This research centers on the asset management model for developing superior commodities within the plantation sector, specifically implemented by Pesantren NW Al-Rahman. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study strategy to explore economic empowerment programs and activities at Pesantren NW Al-Rahman NW in West Lombok. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. Subsequently, data analysis adheres to the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that pesantren embrace entrepreneurship-based empowerment in the plantation sector by harnessing the potential of local commodities such as durian, palm sugar, kolang kaling, and oyster mushrooms. Pesantren NW Al-Rahman assumes three pivotal roles within this model: owner, distributor, and marketer. The implications extend beyond the school itself, impacting operational costs, enhancing soft skills for students, and increasing personal income for neighboring communities.

Integrating Behavioral Economics In-sights in Development Programs: The Case of the World Bank Group Model

The study aims to discuss the concept of behavioral economics, identify its connections with Islamic economics, and explore mechanisms for employing behavioral economics insights in development efforts. It presents a proposed framework for integrating behavioral economics perspectives into the operations of the Islamic Development Bank Group. To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was employed, examining various international experiences in integrating behavioral economics into development programs, with a focus on the experience of the Behavioral Economics Unit at the World Bank Group. The study's results confirm the importance of leveraging behavioral economics insights and their practicality in development efforts. They contribute effectively to understanding human behavior, motivating desired behaviors and choices, enhancing the efficiency of development policies, and maximizing their impact. The study recommends that the Islamic Development Bank Group enhance its developmental policies by establishing a Behavioral Economics Department within the Economic Empowerment Program.

Project LISTEN: Foundations and Development of a Peer Empowerment Program for Caregivers of Children with Variations of Sex Characteristics

AbstractNearly 2% of the population is born with intersex traits or variations of sex characteristics (VSC). Marginalization of people with VSC whose experience of social isolation and stigma can lead to mental health challenges and low degrees of medical and self-empowerment. Infants and children with VSC rely on caregivers to make decisions which impact their medical and social-emotional wellbeing. Interview recordings were analyzed using Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and generated four preliminary themes that will be used to develop a logic model to inform the development of a novel peer-empowerment intervention: (1) the isolating and overwhelming experience of learning about child’s VSC; (2) caregivers desire early access to education and information; (3) connecting with peer support provides reassurance and lessens stigma; (4) developing skills of communication and advocacy help empower parents. Features of post-traumatic growth were endorsed by caregivers. In partnership with an advisory group of stakeholders, findings from this study will be used to develop a logic model of the psychological, social, and environmental determinants that our intervention will target to improve health and quality of life outcomes for new parents of children with VSC. Project LISTEN (Let Intersex Stories Teach, Enlighten, and Nurture) applies the concepts of epistemic justice and health liberation to support, educate, and empower caregivers of children with VSC. Clinical social workers are ideal champions for peer empowerment programs that work to develop critical consciousness in those who have been socially marginalized.

Implementation of Community Development and Empowerment Programs in Samarinda City: An Analysis of Online News Articles

This paper seeks to explore how online news media frame the achievement of the implementation of the community development and empowerment program (Pro Bebaya) in Samarinda City. This research investigates the success factors, obstacles, and challenges in implementing Pro Bebaya. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Pro Bebaya policy and assist the government, local parliament (DPRD), and the community in planning future policy programs. This research uses an inductive methodology to conduct content and qualitative narrative analysis of news stories published between January 2022 and February 2023. The dataset consists of articles from eleven leading online news sites in Indonesia. Qualitative content analysis shows that the news media Antaranews, Infosatu, Kaltimminutes, and Timeskaltim do much reporting on the achievement of the implementation of Pro Bebaya. Other success factors' findings include involvement and coordination with stakeholders, a control system, socialization by the government to the community, information sharing, tangible changes in infrastructure, and increasingly developed apparatus knowledge. Then, these factors led to the smooth implementation of program activities. Further but insignificant are the barriers and challenges, such as the lack of community involvement and knowledge in program implementation and budget constraints. Our findings support the argument that implementing government decisions or policies is based on actual action practices.
