Role of Family and Community Health Center Employees in Controlling Dengue Fever in Puskesmas Antang Makassar

The problem of dengue fever until now is still a problem which cannot be removed. The medicine of this desease is still not found to prevent transmission of dengue fever. The way to control dengue fever was by controlling the vector of transmission at the stage of the adult of egg phase, larvae, and pupae. It also included controlling mosquito adult phase. So that, in solving the problem, this research had purpose to find out and analyze the role of family and community health center employees in controlling dengue fever in Puskesmas Antang, Makassar. The method which was used in this research was observation by using case – control planning with descriptive analysis with quantitative and qualitative approach. It was done by giving the questionnaire to health center employees and public figures that involved that knew about dengue fever in this research. The result showed that 13.5% of informants had enough category in controlling this desease 86.5% of the informants were in less category. Having Lack of knowledge and action to prevent this disease could increase dengue fever to the health people. This research also can be used as the references for the next researchers.

The article is devoted to the urgent problem of ensuring the proper circulation of qualified key certificates (electronic digital signature) by criminal legal means. The criminological aspects of crime in the field of electronic document management are investigated. The reasons for the criminalization of this sphere and the formation of illegal infrastructure in it are noted. Violations in the registration of certificates of electronic digital signature keys determine economic and ordinary crimes. The necessity of improving the legal responsibility of participants in legal relations in the field of electronic document management is substantiated. Bottlenecks have been identified in the legislation regarding non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment by an employee of the certification center of his professional duties. The authors supported the draft laws of previous years on the introduction of criminal liability for offenses in the field of electronic document management. The necessity of finalizing modern legislative initiatives in this area is substantiated. A review of judicial practice confirmed the expediency of supplementing the Criminal Code with Article 327.3 "Unlawful actions in relation to an enhanced electronic digital signature". Responsibility for illegal actions of an employee of an accredited certification center for issuing an electronic digital signature is proposed. The range of subjects of the crime has been clarified. These include employees of certification centers, citizens who purchase electronic digital signatures and are their owners, as well as representatives of intermediary organizations.

Optimising workplace health programmes using organisational culture: Post-COVID perspectives from managers and workplace health experts from the UK contact centre industry

Contact centre workers experience disproportionately low physical activity levels and high sedentary behaviour levels, as well as an increased risk of negative occupational health outcomes such as anxiety and depression. Organisational culture factors such as strict work schedules and pressure to maintain productivity often impede the effectiveness of programmes to reduce these health risks. Despite its significance, organisational culture is often overlooked during the development and implementation of workplace health programmes due to its conceptually complex nature. The COVID-19 pandemic further complicated organisational culture-related associations to workplace health programmes in contact centres. This study investigated how organisational culture influences the existence and effectiveness of workplace health programmes in contact centres and if/how COVID-19 disrupted these associations. Fifteen interviews were conducted with contact centre managers and workplace health experts between February and June 2021. Findings indicate that employee well-being is increasingly being prioritised within contact centres, especially post-pandemic, and that there is a legacy of COVID-19 to learn from the spotlight that was placed on employee well-being during the pandemic to improve workplace conditions for contact centre employees. Further, to maximise effectiveness and support positive organisational culture change, these findings should be considered during well-being programme planning, delivery, implementation and evaluation.

The perceived effect of digital transformation and resultant empowerment on job performance of employees in the fitness family business

PurposeThe impact of technological transformations in all sectors is undeniably significant, especially in fitness family business. The aim is to examine the digital transformation perceptions of fitness centre employees and the effects of perceived empowerment on their job performance in family business in Turkey.Design/methodology/approachThe sample was 334 fitness centre employees. Four variables were evaluated (digital transformation, meaning competence, self-determination and job performance), and PLS-SEM was used.FindingsThe digital transformation process in the fitness sector can be considered as an important factor in terms of creating new business ventures. Our results showed that digital transformation perceived by family business employees had a significantly influence on the meaning competence of the employees. Also, the meaning competence of employees was a mediator between the digital transformation and job performance.Practical implicationsManagers of family businesses must take into account that an appropriate digital transformation of their products and/or services has an impact on the meaning competence of their employees. Thus, through increased competence in employee performance, the digitization of family business fitness will lead to higher employee performance and productivity.Originality/valueThis study innovates by linking digital transformation as a factor influencing the coach's own motivation and self-perceived competence in the use of technology to their job performance.

Initial leadership concerns and availability of tobacco cessation services moderate changes in employee-reported concerns about tobacco-free workplace policy implementation over time.

Tobacco-free workplace policies (TFWPs) are underused evidence-based interventions that reduce the elevated use of tobacco among substance use treatment center (SUTC) employees and patients. SUTC employees' anticipated concerns about stakeholder pushback are barriers to TFWP adoption. Examination of discrepancies between anticipated and actualized employee-reported TFWP concerns arising from coworkers, patients, and community members in the context of leadership concerns and tobacco cessation care availability for employees may inform strategies to increase TFWP uptake. This study analyzed changes in employee-reported TFWP concerns from before to after a comprehensive tobacco-free workplace intervention that included TFWP implementation, using Chi-square/Fisher's exact tests. Preimplementation leadership policy concerns and tobacco cessation care availability were examined as moderators in generalized linear mixed models. Overall, 452 employees and 13 leaders provided data from 13 SUTCs collectively serving >82 000 patients annually. Results revealed significant decreases over time in employee-reported concerns about TFWP resistance from coworkers. Moderation analyses indicated that employee-anticipated concerns from coworkers and patients, respectively, were less likely to be actualized in SUTCs where leadership endorsed preimplementation TFWP concerns, whereas employee-reported patient concerns rose over time in SUTCs where leadership had no initial implementation concerns. Additionally, employee-anticipated concerns from coworkers were overestimated in SUTCs that did not offer tobacco cessation care to employees. Results supporting the nonactualization of anticipated employee concerns following TFWP implementation can be used to engage other SUTCs for TFWP adoption. Furthermore, moderation effects may suggest that center characteristics translate to greater attention to rollout, ultimately enhancing TFWP stakeholder acceptance.

SUBSTANTIATION OF THE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM «GLOBAL HEALTH» AS A COMPONENT OF THE TRAINING OF PUBLIC HEALTH SPECIALISTS

The aim: to develop a modern certification program "Global Health" for the continuous professional development of public health professionals. Materials and methods. The study employed bibliosemantic, informational-analytical, medical-statistical, sociological methods, and content analysis method. The research program included an analysis of the main competencies of public health professionals, as defined by the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) and the higher education standard for specialty 229 "Public Health" for the second (master's) level of higher education; analysis of existing certification programs on global health; conducting sociological surveys of public health professionals regarding priority topics and preferred learning methods. The research was based on normative documents, electronic resources, and the results of sociological research. Statistical processing and mathematical analysis of materials were conducted using statistical analysis methods. Results. It was established that global health issues are significant in shaping the professional competencies of public health professionals, considering the requirements of the higher education standard for specialty 229 "Public Health" for the second (master's) level of higher education and those, defined by the European List of Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals ASPHER. The study of these issues was identified as important for continuous professional development based on sociological surveys of disease control and prevention center employees (38.4 out of 100 respondents). Among various forms of education, webinars (62.2±3.8 out of 100 respondents) and online learning (60.4±3.8) are most in demand. Analysis of the obtained data led to the justification of the "Global Health" certification program. In the developed "Global Health" certification program, 26.7% of the workload corresponds to lectures, 33.3% to practical classes, and 40% to preparatory work. Structurally, it covers 2 modules and 8 topics on current issues of the impact of globalization on health and analysis of global health indicators. Conclusions. The "Global Health" certification program meets the requirements of normative documents, considers contemporary challenges and consequences of globalization on health, highlights global health trends, and its topics are in demand among disease control and prevention center professionals.

The effect of motivation on job satisfaction of health center workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of the COVID-19 pandemic

This research aimed to understand how incentives affect job satisfaction among employees at health centers in Bisha, a region in Saudi Arabia. The method used was descriptive and analytical, involving all 1,300 employees at these health centers, with 274 randomly chosen participants for the survey. A questionnaire collected data from these participants. The findings suggest that the average job satisfaction among these employees is moderate, indicating they are somewhat satisfied. However, the system of incentives was generally found to be weak, despite a clear link between incentives and job satisfaction, proven significant at the α≤0.01 level. When considering educational background and years of experience, these factors did not significantly impact satisfaction levels with the incentive system at the α≤0.05 level. Yet, gender did show a significant difference in satisfaction levels at the same significance level. The research concludes that there is a need to reevaluate and improve the incentive system for health center employees in Bisha to enhance their job satisfaction. It suggests conducting further research to develop management strategies and explore new methods to increase employee satisfaction.

Administrative empowerment and its relationship to job performance in special education centres in Karak Governorate: the employee perspective

Introduction. Administrative empowerment in special education centres is of great interest because it involves changing approaches to organisational management in the system of special (correctional) education. This, in turn, impacts the success and sustainability of the activities of such centres. Aim. The present research aimed to quantify the extent to which employees in special education centres felt empowered by their supervisors and how that empowerment correlated with their job productivity. Methodology and research methods. To achieve the research objective, the authors utilised the correlational survey method and created two questionnaires. The first questionnaire examined the administrative empowerment transferred to staff members. The second questionnaire was administered to assess the employees’ job performance following the implementation of administrative empowerment. 112 employees of special education centres participated in the study voluntarily. Results. The results of the study showed a positive correlation between administrative empowerment and the growth of labour productivity in the centre. At the same time, there were differences in job performance based on variables such as gender, years of experience, academic qualifications, and attendance at training courses. Scientific novelty. The study identified key factors that can enhance job performance in special education centres to support students with special needs. Practical significance. The research findings will be of interest to academics, scholars, and educators working in the field of special education.

Expert assessment of the competencies of interpersonal interaction between specialists involved in the implementation of the rehabilitation process

Introduction. The need to study the interaction between specialists involved in the implementation of the rehabilitation process is due to the fact that already at the initial stages of the rehabilitation process, effective interpersonal interaction allows identifying patients at risk for medical complications and readmission, and determining the amount of necessary interventions that will be focused on solving various tasks (medical, physical, cognitive, emotional, social, psychological) facing specialists in the process of rehabilitation. Purpose of the study. Assessment of the competences of interpersonal interaction between specialists (medical and non-medical profile) included in the implementation of the rehabilitation process. Materials and methods. The total sample size was two hundred forty six people aged of 25–52 years (mean age 31.4 ± 5.18 years). All study participants were employees of rehabilitation centers and were divided into two groups: medical specialists and non-medical specialists. The study was carried out using assessment technology and included individual and group forms of work. Results. About 90% of the functionality of a modern specialist, both medical and non-medical, included in the implementation of the rehabilitation process, is functional, determined by managing competencies and competencies of interpersonal interaction. Depending on the rehabilitation case, the volume of functional and competence content is determined individually. Non-medical specialists have a higher level of formation of interpersonal interaction competencies in comparison with medical specialists. Research limitations. Excluded from participation in the study were medical and non-medical specialists who were not employees of rehabilitation centers, as well as employees of rehabilitation centers over 55 years of age. Conclusion. A necessary condition for the functioning of the rehabilitation direction in the management is an increase in the proportion of medical and non-medical specialists involved in the implementation of the rehabilitation process, with a high level of development of interpersonal interaction competencies and a decrease in the proportion of demotivated employees with a low level of formation of interpersonal interaction competencies.

The impact of leader’s humor styles on creativity and work engagement of call center employees in Jakarta

This study aimed to analyze the impact of a leader's humor style dimensions: affiliate humor style, self-enhancing humor styles, aggressive humor styles, and self-defeating humor style on creativity and work engagement. Data collected from 138 call centers from some of the Cell Phone Companies in Jakarta. The data collection technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method. The techniques used to analyze this research are instrumental tests such as validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing using Multiple Regressions with SPSS 25. The results of hypothesis testing in this investigation indicate that there is a positive effect of affiliate humor style on creativity and work engagement, a positive effect of self-enhancing humor style to creativity and a negative effect to work engagement, an adverse effect of aggressive humor style on creativity and work engagement, and a negative effect self-defeating humor style on creativity and work engagement. Managerial implications can be given so the leaders can use appropriate humor styles to increase employee's spirit in the workplace.

Fit-intrapreneurship in the emerging economy of health and fitness industry

Purpose This study aims to analyze the precursors of high and low intrapreneurial intentions among fitness center employees, considering various variables (gender, age, organization size and job satisfaction). Design/methodology/approach The study involved 166 fitness center employees of the Portuguese fitness center. The study used a two-part questionnaire to gather sociodemographic data and assess variables related to intrapreneurial intentions and job satisfaction among fitness employees. The first part collected basic demographic information, while the second used validated scales to measure intrapreneurial intentions (innovation and risk-taking) and job satisfaction (intrinsic and extrinsic). Findings This study underscores intrapreneurship as key for the evolving global fitness sector, highlighting job satisfaction as critical for fostering intrapreneurial intentions. Age, organizational size and gender diversity are also significant, suggesting that fostering a diverse and satisfied workforce under transformational leadership can enhance fitness organizations’ adaptability and growth. Social implications This research supports the growth of the fitness sector by demonstrating how intrapreneurship, propelled by job satisfaction, can resolve challenges, benefiting fitness centers regardless of size, age or gender diversity. Originality/value The study highlights the vital role of intrapreneurs in the fitness industry, advocating a nongender-biased approach to intrapreneurship and identifying job satisfaction as key to fostering intrapreneurial intentions, beneficial for all fitness centers.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES FOR INTERINSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION IN THE CONTEXT OF MANAGING SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANIZATIONS

The aim of the article is to assess the level of interinstitutional cooperation in the management of municipal and poviat organizational units of the social assistance system from the perspective of administrative procedures. This work is interdisciplinary in nature, and the content contained in the article is embedded in legal sciences and management and quality sciences. Original research results obtained among managers and employees of social welfare centers and district family support centers in Poland using the cooperative research method from the action research group are presented. The conducted research process had a nationwide scope and the presented conclusions can be an auxiliary tool to trigger a discussion on systemic solutions supporting the directions of inter-institutional cooperation through the use of appropriate administrative procedures in order to effectively implement social policy at the local government level.

PENGARUH KOMPENSASI, DISIPLIN KERJA DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PUSKESMAS ARJASA

The aim of this research is to determine partially or jointly the influence of remuneration variables, work discipline and work motivation on the performance of Aljasa Community Health Center employees. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires and research was conducted on 80 respondents from the civil service department (a sample of 67 civil servant workers from the Community Health Center Arjasa). Respondent responses were processed using multiple regression analysis, t-test, f-test, and r-test using a Likert scale. The results of this research reveal a partial (significant) influence between reward variables, work discipline, and work motivation on the dependent variable performance employees, while the research variables reward, job reveal the influence of work discipline variables on discipline. Work motivation for employee performance. The results of this research show that the leadership of the Arjasa Health Center can pay attention to compensation and work discipline, motivate employees and monitor employee activities to improve the performance of Puskesmas employees.

Transformational Leadership Influence on Employee Performance: A Proposed Study Among Palestinian Central Municipalities Employees

This research investigates the impact of transformational leadership on employee performance within Palestinian municipalities. As a vital cog in the management wheel, transformational leaders inspire and motivate employees, encouraging innovation and promoting excellence. Using a quantitative research approach, this study collected data from administrative staff in ten central Palestinian municipalities, leveraging questionnaires and statistical analysis. Our findings reveal the significant positive impact of transformational leadership behaviours, including inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealized influence, and individual consideration, on employee performance. The research also underscores the role of goal setting, as emphasized by Fischer (2016), in driving individual commitment and motivation. Further, this study discusses how transformational leadership contributes to successful teamwork and fosters a culture of creativity and problem-solving. It presents a set of recommendations for implementing transformational leadership in Palestinian municipalities, including leadership training, employee empowerment, communication of a compelling vision, and fostering a culture of innovation, among others. By adhering to these strategies, Palestinian municipalities can enhance employee performance and improve public service provision.

This research aims to determine the influence of lifestyle, self-control and social status on personal financial management among UPT Puskesmas Moyo Hulu employees. Financial management is very important for every individual to achieve a prosperous future and avoid various financial problems. This research uses quantitative methods with an associative approach. The datacollection method uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The population in this study was all employees of the Moyo Hulu Community Health Center with the sampling method using a saturated sampling technique and the sample used was 86 respondents. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis with data processing using the SPSS program. The research results show that the variables of lifestyle, self-control and social status partially have a positive and significant influence on the personal financial management of Moyo Hulu Community Health Center employees.

Collaboration between Criminal Justice and Child Protection in Cases of Child Sexual Abuse: Unveiling Inhibiting and Facilitating Factors

AbstractVictims of child sexual abuse (CSA) in criminal proceedings face a range of stress factors. In response to this, collaboration between criminal justice and child protection professionals has been established both legally and informally, such as in the newly established Childhood Houses in Germany, which follow the model of the Scandinavian Barnahus to reduce stress and prevent revictimisation. This study intends to identify facilitating and inhibiting factors in the collaboration between the child protection and criminal justice systems in cases of CSA in Germany. Twenty‐eight qualitative interviews with experts from child protection, like counselling centre employees (n = 5), psychosocial court supporters (n = 5) and youth welfare office workers (n = 5), and the criminal justice system, like prosecutors (n = 5), police officers (n = 5) and attorneys (n = 3). The interviews are structured by a questionnaire and analysed using Kuckartz's method of qualitative content analysis (QCA). Findings show that key factors like information flow, assessments of collaboration partners, uncertainties about laws and actors' perspectives on reporting and networking determine the success or failure of interagency collaboration.
