Renewable methanol is produced from biomass or synthesized from green hydrogen and carbon dioxide CO2. These are essential components that are consumed as chemical feedstock and fuel. E-methanol is also vital in the petroleum/ petrochemical industry and transport sectors toward net carbon-neutral goals. In the current operational scenario, renewable methanol production costs are high, and production volumes are low. We need to establish the right policies to address the challenges of producing e-methanol costeffectively to deliver clean, green energy and fuel in the competitive market.
