Abstract We theoretically propose a single-photon source design based on a circular Bragg grating microcavity incorporating two air triangles in a bowtie configuration. Our proposed design allows for extreme light confinement with a Purcell factor of approximately 166 with a bandwidth of ~9 nm for a triangle separation of 5 nm combined with a collection efficiency above 80 % . The Purcell factor is enhanced by a factor of 8 relative to the reference cavity thanks to the reduction of the mode volume. Furthermore, we demonstrate the critical role of the dipole emitter polarization orientation and spatial position in achieving optimal Purcell enhancement.
