The effect of nonverbal communication on psychological status and satisfaction in dangerous sufferers of emergency internal medicine

Objective To investigate the application effect of non language communication in dangerous sufferers of emergency internal medicine.Methods A total of 100 cases of dangerous sufferers in emergency internal medicine were divided into the observation group and the control group by drawing lots,the control group was given routine nursing,the observation group was strengthened nonverbal communication on the basis of the control group,psychological state after treatment and nursing satisfaction were compared between two groups.Results Anxiety score,depression score after treatment in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).The satisfaction of education environment,attitude,operation and treatment in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The nonverbal communication is the important manifestation of humanistic nursing,understand the psychological demand and the change of disease timely,promote the rehabilitation of dangerous sufferers,and coordinate the relationship between nurses and patients. Is There a Visual Dominance in Political Communication? How Verbal, Visual, and Vocal Communication Shape Viewers' Impressions of Political Candidates

On the basis of a televised debate in the 2005 German national election, this study compares the influence of verbal, visual, and vocal communication on viewers' immediate impressions of political candidates by using an innovative research design. A second-by-second content analysis of 17 verbal, visual, and vocal message elements is combined with a second-by-second analysis of viewers' immediate impressions using continuous response measurement (CRM). Findings show that viewers' immediate impressions are mainly influenced by verbal communication, especially the issues discussed and the argumentative structure used. In contrast to that, the effect of nonverbal communication is far smaller. The causes and implications of these findings are discussed.

The effects of nonverbal communication and gender on impression formation in opening statements

This article examines the influence of nonverbal cues and attorney gender on juror impression formation. Two major conclusions are drawn from this study: (1) Attorney gender may not influence the impression formation process in the courtroom, and (2) Delivery styles produce expectations for the appropriateness of disfluencies in speech. The broader implications for impression formation in the legal process are outlined. It is argued an interactionist perspective provides a useful heuristic framework to address the complexity of impression formation in legal settings.

Role of nonverbal communication in the perception of leadership.

A 2 X 3 design was used to assess effects of nonverbal communication and sensory modality of presentation of stimuli on 107 undergraduates' perception of leadership. Nonverbal communication and modality of presentation had a significant effect on perception of leadership. These results suggest that nonverbal cues should be seen as essential in impression-formation.
