In the Amplitude Variation with Offset category, Grechka and Dewangan (“Generation and processing of pseudo-shear-wave data: Theory and case study”) convolve PP and PS traces so that the output possesses the kinematics of pure shear-wave primaries, allowing the use of conventional tools for S-wave velocity analysis.
