We conducted this systematic review for the USPSTF to make its recommendation about screening and treatment of adult obesity. The USPSTF recently posted a draft recommendation for public comment but has not released its final recommendation.With regard to the articles in question, we excluded the Look AHEAD and WOMAN studies because the control groups received more than a minimal intervention, which was outside the focus of our review. Our systematic review summarized the data regarding the effectiveness of weight loss interventions compared with no intervention or usual care. We also ...
